Dirt Bike Training DBT

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great time. Alex (instructor) was knowledgeable and engaged. It was a 4 hour class but they took things step by step and the kids got plenty of track time. I would highly recommend DBT for anyone who wants to learn about dirt bikes.

Alex was an amazing teacher. The gear and bikes were great. Absolutely recommend their training course if you have a little one interested in dirt bikes!

Fantastic experience: For my birthday my son and I got lessons here with I believe his name is Trevin. We had an amazing time. My 10 yr old son had never rode a dirt bike, definately never had any experience with a clutch. Half way through the course he had him shifting gears and standing up on the bike. I really appreciated his patience with students that had little to no experience. Tomorrow we are getting our first dirt bikes and will definately be back for more instruction. Money well spent at this course. Very enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Just completed the Dual Sport / Adv class over the weekend. Day 1 was onsite, and day 2 was out on the trails. Brian was an excellent trainer. I come from a street background, so it was all new to me. He was incredibly patient and offered a number of suggestions along the way (I will continue to use the “there’s a scorpion on my mirror” analogy for years to come). Being able to get out on trails and encounter obstacles and terrain that I didn’t think I could, was amazing! I still have so much to learn, but am excited and more confident to get out and practice with these new foundation skills. Anyone looking to learn, or just brush up some skills, should definitely give this a go!

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Michigan, I thought this would be a fun, safe experience for my boys, and boy was I right. The instructor was so very patient, kind and sweet to the kids. He explained everything so well, and always made sure the kids understood. I felt that he wanted the kids safe as much as I did, and I so appreciated it. The kids were riding around the track like they’ve done it for years, even though it was their very first time. If we go back to Arizona, we will without a doubt come back. Well worth the investment. Fantastic experience: I did a practice track session with Kai and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! I don't have a lot of riding experience after just passing my MSF course with Team Arizona (also located at this address). Kai was able to provide excellent instruction to get me comfortable on the dirt and comfortable on the track. He is extremely proficient in communicating proper technique, riding position, motocross handling, and safety while learning. Overwhelmingly positive experience for anyone who wants to learn and have fun!

Fantastic experience: My 12 year-old boy has been dying to get into dirt biking. We signed up for a month's worth of classes with Kai and his staff, using a combination of private one-on-ones and twice a week small group rides. Kai has been fantastic. He teaches all the foundational stuff, in a very methodical way (as you can see from the DBT facebook page). He's patient and encouraging with a whole range of scalliwags. The dirt track has enough interest that it also appeals to my son's dirt biking mentor, a 16 year old boy, who participates in these lessons along with my boy, and is learning to clear jumps on that track. So, there is something for everyone there. I insisted on bringing the 16 year old, because if he is going to mentor my son, I want to make sure he has all the right foundational stuff too. And it turns out that the 16 year old has learned a lot too, after working with Kai. He understands safety now, and both boys have noticeably advanced their skill level after two weeks of multiple lessons a week. Also, Kai is very responsive by text, and to answering questions.

Fantastic experience: My son wanted to try a Surron so we signed him up for the practice track. It was a great experience and the instructors were excellent. Now he wants one!

Fantastic experience: This was an early Christmas present for my daughter. She did a private lesson with her father and she said it was the best Christmas ever and Christmas hasn’t even happened yet! Best experience ever! Kai was a great teacher! 5 out of 5 stars! Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: Bought private beginner training for myself and my daughter, all we needed to bring was high socks! Kai is super chill, knowledgeable, and has a great starter curriculum. My 13 year old who has never ridden was completing laps and standing over obstacles in a single session (results may vary :P )! Absolutely will be returning for more skills training. I would highly recommend DBT to anyone curious about riding, or those that desire to practice and up their skill.

The instructors were clearly spoken, polite, and very focused on his safety. All they need to do now is expand out to the West valley :)

Fantastic experience: The training was excellent for me, even as an experienced rider, to reset my riding habits and sharpen my skills. At the facility in Mesa, the instructors were patient, thorough, and insightful, great at communication and demonstrating the skills and seeing them put into practice. On the training ride to Crown King this continued, with several stops for analysis and reiteration of techniques, adding simple tips to make significant changes. By the end of trip this training put into play a more confident and comfortable riding experience. As well as riding techniques we went over bike maintenance as well as practical advice on tools, elimination of excess items, bike setup and ergonomics. An excellent value.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a great experience this place was! We were visiting family in AZ and signed up our two boys, 7 and 13, for the 4 hour dirt bike course. I was a bit apprehensive of the cost being honest, but it was absolutely money well spent, and they provided all the gear and bikes! There were two other kids in the class, so only 4 students total which was awesome. The instructor Jim is SO good with teaching kids, he is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging. The class format was perfect with detailed, easy to follow lessons and well timed breaks and each kiddo progressed at their own pace with no pressure and no feeling left behind for our younger son who was on a smaller bike. I was impressed with how much all the kids could do by the end of the class! Both our boys asked if they could come back the next day lol and now want to get into dirt biking. So thank you to Jim, Kai, and all the staff that work hard to make such a cool business possible. We look forward to returning on our next AZ trip!

Fantastic experience: Kai is wonderful! We signed up our two boys to take a month of lessons to better learn how to control their Honda 50 and 70. Our boys are ages 7 and 12. At the end of the month both boys showed to have better control, balance, and an understanding of how to ride. We feel confident in taking them to a motorcross track now and letting them explore the possibility of racing. I highly recommend DBT and Kai.

Fantastic experience: We had such a fun time learning to dirt bike! Our instructor, Kai, is easily able to break down each element of the bike and how to ride. He allowed us to master simple techniques first and practice a lot to get comfortable before moving on to harder elements. In the Dirt Bike Basic Course, we learned how to mount the bike properly, turn on the bike and shift gears, balance and ride in first and second gear, make turns, stand up and travel over obstacles, weave between cones and counterbalance (for sharper/faster turns). After a few hours, we graduated to the moto-course where we got to play on the tabletops, moguls and berms. We felt so confident and comfortable the whole time and it ended up loving to ride! Now we can't wait to get our own bikes and go play!

Fantastic experience: I took the ADV/Dual Sport Course on a late February afternoon. Having recently purchased a BMW R1250GSA and coming from a background of street only riding, I needed instruction on the tactics & techniques of off-pavement travel. There were 2 students in this class. Coach Brian was able to keep us occupied with drills and offered constant feedback. Throwing a couple of 600 pound bikes around isn't easy for a pair of old timers, so he monitored our exertion levels and timed rest/water breaks while he discussed the next topic of instruction. The main take away from the training for me was a better understanding of counter balance principles and minimizing physical effort by staying in a nuetral rider position. If you decide to take this course, bring something to take notes with as there are no handout materials. Wear breathable protective gear. We wore our ADV style jackets and they began to get warm as the class progressed (you aren't going very fast in the drills to cool down). A water jug & cups as well as a shaded break area are provided. There is a snack/soda vending machine & bathrooms inside the main classroom building. If you are an off-road rooky like myself or have been around the block once or twice, this course is well worth the money & time spent. The material you learn can also carry over to your street ride. Kudos to Coach Brian, Kai and the staff of DBT for a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Experience from beginning (calling for details) to end (crashing 3x with no injuries) was great! Method of instruction, size of class, price point, 100% supportive, safety, FUN!!! I showed up with ZERO dirtbike knowledge and left ready to start a new 2 wheeled hobbie I'll be back for class 2, as well as bringing more adult ladies! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: The instructor was incredibly patient with the students. My son is autistic and and it can be difficult for him to understand basic instruction. I don't think he had to ask for extra instruction once. I plan to bring him back for the intermediate class after we work on the training he recieved and he is more confident. I highly recommend this class for any beginner at any age and any child looking to get into the sport. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Loved taking the beginner's dirt bike training class and then also using the newly-revamped tracked for practice sessions. Kai was a fantastic teacher - very friendly and patient. The four-hour class was just the right length of time, and the fact that there are a maximum of 4 students really helps. My whole family has taken the class, plus a practice session and we are now ready to hit the trails!

Fantastic experience: I signed my son up for the Basic Dirt Bike Course (automatic) with DBT and he absolutely loved it. Kai was a great coach and had all four of the kids in class riding a lot more confidently by the end of the 4 hour course. I definitely plan on bringing my son back for more training in the future!

Fantastic experience: I never rode a dirt bike before and a friend recommended that I go to DBT (Dirt Bike Training) and I'm glad I did! Fantastic experience: Did the Level 2 course since I had previous experience riding and I can't tell you how beneficial the course was. I learned things I never would have considered and by the end of the day felt that I was a much more confident and comfortable rider. CJ was a great instructor and the whole course was worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy I took this class. I am new to motorcycles in general and just completed a street based class a few weeks prior and want to start getting into Dual Sport/ Adventure riding. This class seemed like the perfect next step. I was able to rent a dirt bike as part of the class. Kai did a great job working with the skills levels in the class and keeping us moving and learning. I come from mountain bikes and had some difficulty getting my standing position correct on the dirt bike. Kai worked with me to get it correct and relaxed for the dirt bike. It seemed excessive at first, but then it all made sense when we did the standing drills and getting into the right position standing makes all come together. Without that foundation everything else would be a struggle. Kai's style is also excellent with calm demeanor and providing encouragement when needed and praise for job well done. I plan to take follow up with the ADV class once I have my motorcycle. I can't stress how important this training is. Oh and it was lots of fun too.

Fantastic experience: This was such a great experience. Three different skill and comfort levels. The coaches at DBT were perfect in easing us in and making all three of us comfortable on the bikes. By the end of our first day we all felt very comfortable on the bikes. Such a fun experience, and a great way to learn how to ride for the first time.

They really take you through the basics and before you know it you're racing around the track having a great time practicing your turns, shifting, throttle control, etc. The class had 4 students total. Our instructor was clear and easy to follow. He made sure there was plenty of time to ask questions. At the end my son and I felt way more confident. Fantastic experience. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Kai is a very skilled and patient instructor. Took the private class with two adults and my two kids(9 & 15), none of us had ever been on a dirtbike before. Kai went above and beyond to make sure we all had a positive experience, especially the kids. 100% worth every penny. Not just for beginners either! They teach advanced classes too!

Fantastic experience: The training team was really patient and helpful. Despite the challenges, they were supportive and clear with their instructions. Since I was a first-time rider, it took a little extra time for me to pick it up and they helped me with various ways until I got it.

Fantastic experience: The adventure training was excellent. My opinion is that training courses are only as good as the instructor, and our instructor Scott was a skilled and knowledgeable adventure rider. He gave detailed attention to each individual rider. The emphasis on body position and technique was fantastic. The exercises were well designed and effective. I'm really looking forward to DBT offering more advanced adventure riding training and private instruction! I hope to see this soon.

I signed my 14 year old daughter up (zero dirt bike experience) for this class and I was a little nervous about how it would all go down. Any unease I may have had instantly left when we met the owner/instructor Kai. He is so calm and patient and taught her how to ride and handle the bike, but most importantly how to ride safely. He’s easygoing making my daughter feel comfortable enough to ask questions so she could really learn. She left on cloud nine as she was really able grasp the concepts he taught her. Fantastic experience: Perfect Phase I Adventure Bike Training with Brian. Met with Brian on a 100+ degree morning at the DBT facility and after appropriate briefs I was immersed into a safe and effective training environment to learn new, and practice/refine old, techniques with my KTM 500 EXC-F. My idea of adventure bike life is 98% dirt/sand/rocks so this class, and Brians experience, were exactly what I wanted. Brian has years of experience and keeps the course focused on what I needed. Many thanks to the DBT Team, and Brian especially. When the Phase II class is released, I will be in line, capturing more of the DPT Teams talent.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience at my ADV session at DBT. I currently ride a KTM 1290R and the 4 hours spent on course has given me the confidence to hit the trails. I was also the only person in class and literally had a private instructor pay as much attention to my individual skills as I could have hoped for. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering some ADV instruction.

Fantastic experience: Very challenging course, I learned a lot. Scott is a calm and safe teacher who will nevertheless get you to do more than you thought you could.

Fantastic experience: My experience was absolutely amazing. The instructor, Kai, gave me great insights on how to improve my riding. We also were able to get to the stand up portion of the class as I was the only one in this class. It was like getting a private lesson without paying for a private lesson. They normally have small class sizes anyways of 4 people. I'm a little sore from using muscles that aren't used all the time but If you're interested in learning to dirt bike this is the class I'd recommend. You won't regret it if you go not even the sore muscles. All in all an amazing experience. Hats off to Kai thank you sir

Fantastic experience: My son and I had a great experience at Dirt Bike Training. Neither of us had ridden before but with Kai’s knowledge and instruction we now feel comfortable to get our own bikes and hit the trails. I would definitely recommend this program.

Fantastic experience: CJ and Kai (?) were amazing and patient. I had never ridden a dirt bike, ever. Although I was nervous, the instructors patience and knowledge provide us students with great progress, and confidence after making baby steps during our training. We had a great time too!

Fantastic experience: the people at DBT are awesome I learned alot of valuable skills I will use every time I ride my dual sport motorcycle and have gained more confidence taking my bike off road the Instructors were excellent at explaining everything and very encouraging. I would highly recommend this course and can't wait to take my children to there children's class!

Fantastic experience: I took my two boys (10 and 12) to Dirt Bike Training for the kids intro class. They loved it and made so much progress in 4 short hours. Prior to this class, they had never ridden anything except for a bicycle. At the end of the 4 hour class, they were doing laps around the track and shifting between 1st and 2nd. The teacher was fantastic, gear was great, content was excellent. I highly recommend Dirt Bike Training if you or your kids want to learn to ride.

Fantastic experience: Great experience for begining dirt bike riders. Enrolled my son and he had a great time and learned how to ride a dirt bike.
