Fantastic experience: I recently took the basic riders course with my boyfriend and we had an amazing experience! Our instructor, Ari, was clear with instructions and demonstrated everything before we did it. He was encouraging and extremely knowledgeable with his tips and pointers on how to get better. We are both new riders and felt that we learned a lot of necessary skills for basics riding on any roadway. We grew confident on our bikes and Ari is obviously a well seasoned coach who is encouraging to all students regardless of skill level.

Fantastic experience: Instructor was very professional and a pleasure to work with. There is no way you can fail if you just listen to the instructor! He is very knowledgable. I will be back for the advanced class! It was so much fun taking this class. Thanks!!

Fantastic experience: I took the ADVANCED rider course last weekend, and the info and coaching I received are incredible. Both Doc and Blake coached me real-time, talked me through my mistakes, and encouraged me. It’s a challenging course for sure and gave me what I need to know and practice to be a better, safer rider. I recommend it to EVERY rider.

Fantastic experience: Great class put on by a great knowledgeable staff. Doc, Blake and Daniel knocked it out of the park. If you ride and are slightly beyond a basic MSF course, this class is for you - don’t let the Advanced name scare you off. These are lifesaving skills at ANY level.

Fantastic experience: Attended the Introductory Advanced Riders Class. Definitely recommend this course for anyone that wants to improve on skills and safety on the streets. I learned lots of new techniques and exercises to practice and add to my riding routine. All exercises were challenging and fun to do. Had a blast! Doc and Blake were incredible instructors in this course, answering questions and at expanding your understanding and perception of motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of attending Safety on Two Wheels’ advanced rider training program on Sunday, the 22nd, and it exceeded all expectations. The training was incredibly beginner-friendly, with everything explained in a way that was easy to understand and apply. Doc was phenomenal in not only delivering clear and detailed instruction but also demonstrating techniques and explaining the logic behind each exercise. That level of explanation was especially helpful for me and really enhanced my understanding. Blake was equally amazing, providing great examples for each exercise and ensuring everyone felt confident. The environment was welcoming and well-suited for riders of all types, whether you’re on a cruiser or a sports bike. The team made the entire day fun, engaging, and packed with valuable education. I highly recommend this course to anyone who has the means to take it. Every skill you add is another tool that could save your life on the road. Safety on Two Wheels has set the bar high, and I’m so grateful for the experience!

Jonathan, of all classes this year, you were in the only one where the best Rider Coach Trainer company in the US was present coaching new coaches on the MSF process. So we are highly suspect that the instructions were not clear. Besides Doc, the Program Director, was there every hour observing the class. You failed the skill test at the end of day two along with another rider and was given the opportunity to do a retake for free or take another class at a huge discount. You chose to retake and told Doc who administered the Skill Test remembers you telling him you knew how to ride and wanted to come back and even use your own bike. He agreed, and you failed the Skill Test the 2nd time. Your fellow student who failed the first time did the retake and passed. That means you were the only student of the entire class, with the same instructors and on the same range who did not pass. Was it truly the “poor instructions and the range”? By the way, you made the exact same mistakes the 2nd time as you did the first failure. We do hope you get additional training from any provider before you ride your bike on the streets.

Fantastic experience: As a rider with 20 years experience under his belt riding all different types of bikes, I went into the one day license waiver class expecting not to learn much… I was wrong, Blake did an amazing job and coaching every student individually and helping understand the mechanics and importance to some of the actions we do naturally. I would 100% recommend this group to anyone, from beginners to advanced riders! They are a great group of passionate individuals that really want to teach and share their knowledge!

We appreciate your great review. Especially from an experienced rider. Most of us either learn on our own or a friend or family teaches us. And they may not have had a professional training background. There is a lot to learn regarding how to handle a motorcycle as proficient as possible and we are glad you chose us to get your experience and training for the M endorsement. Keep us in mind as we have two more levels of training available for your future.

Cat T 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: As a new rider with basically no experience or knowledge on riding a motorcycle, I took their beginner course. My instructor Nic was AMAZING!! Making lessons relatable, being personable, answering the millions of questions my fellow classmates and I had, as well as being patient with us as we learned. The assessment was a little challenging but fair enough for testing that we know safe maneuvers and braking. Everyone in my class passed so that tells you that with experience or none, the lessons were amazing in teaching you what you needed to know!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Cat, Nik is one of our newest RiderCoach’s and this review made his day. You were the one who did the real work of listening carefully to the instructions, observing the demonstration, and applying what you were learning to your best ability. Nik was glad to be a part of your journey. Hope to see you again later on for additional levels of training.

Fantastic experience: Following up on my expirence from a couple of years ago. This is the best class you'll find for training in the Houston area. They care about their riders and if you don't pass, it's for a safety reason and nothing else. If you want a future in the riding life, I would recommend coming here if you want to learn and experience what the world has to offer on 2 wheels

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thanks for the review John. Doc remembers you from your class and to see you have now reached over 20,000 miles on two wheels riding as often as you can is why we do what we do. To pass on our love of two wheel travel and the safety points along with it for a long journey as safely as possible. Hope to see you in some of our Advanced classes next year.

Fantastic experience: I have never been on a sport bike but 10/10 highly recommend!! Blake was our instructor; he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable about the physics for SAFELY riding a motorcycle! Extensive personal riding experiences (interesting stories free of charge for examples of what NOT to do) which definitely displays his passion for riding. Super helpful and amazing delivery of instructions to understand the skills to not only pass the exam but for long-term retention!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this class! As someone with a deep love for bikes but no experience and anxious as ever that I would fail. I was able to pass my class and so was my friend! Blake was absolutely incredible with being so patient but also making the class fun which made it so much easier to retain all the info given at once. The owner (Doc) even stopped by to check on us and give us a demonstration as well as some extra tips!

Fantastic experience: Doc runs his service with a clear and passionate focus on safety and responsibility, which is exactly what I wanted when selling my M endorsement - it was a pleasure talking with him about bikes, riding, and his wealth of experience! I took my course with Blake, who is a natural-born teacher. He put the class at ease and maintained a great professional balance while we learned not just the basics, but the reasoning behind them, the common errors and instincts to overcome, and the physics of it all. He also had some great stories while chatting! Overall, I thank them for getting me on the road with the right skills and mindset, and look forward to taking more advanced courses with them in time.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, very nice caring people who take their jobs seriously. You are getting the best with your money. Fantastic experience: I recently attended the MSF-required course at Safety on Two Wheels to obtain my motorcycle M endorsement. The experience was exceptional. Doc, our instructor, demonstrated a deep passion for motorcycle safety and student success. His commitment to thorough instruction ensures that only those who meet the stringent requirements pass, emphasizing the importance of safety over participation trophies. Doc’s dedication and professionalism were evident as he went above and beyond to ensure each student fully understood the necessary skills and requirements. I highly recommend this class and look forward to taking the advanced riding courses. Thank you, Doc, for your outstanding instruction and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Doc, Blake and the rider coach team are great at what they do. They teach in a great caring manner and want you to succeed.

Priyanka Gurung 1 year ago

Negative experience: This is not a beginner level class. The instructor expects you to know everything and doesn’t explain anything. He also made very uncomfortable statements like it’s easy to teach monkeys not human. He also had a new instructor to teach the course.Which was his 1st time teaching this motorcycle course. It’ was basically the Blind leading the blind. They were rushing everything. I had a minor issue with my email regarding online course so I called the location he had a very rude customer service on the phone. I had a very unhappy experience with this instructor definitely don’t recommend his course. He was very discouraging telling me that motorcycle is not for me. Which made me really uncomfortable. Waste of my time, energy and money.

Andy Schrick 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my experience here. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the course. They genuinely care about your safety and exceed the MSF requirements to ensure that you are prepared to ride safely.

Terri Richards 1 year ago

Negative experience: I had no idea that after spending two full days in the hot, Texas sun, busting my butt to do my very best, learning the skills we would need for the 5 different motorcycle skills test, and then 11 little points would FAIL you and keep you from getting your license!!!!!!!!!! (I like Blake, our instructor,). Just know, that 11 points CAN & WILL fail you on the skills test!!!!! If you put your foot down in the u-turn -5 If you put your foot down on one of the skills test -5 If your tire “touches a line” -1 = -11 points you fail!!!!!!!!!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thank you for giving us a 1 star review for following the criteria set forth by Motorcycle Safety Foundation. As a teacher you are looking at 11 points off from a possible score of 100 being an 89. In reality a student is only allowed a max of 15 points off the entire skill test to pass, 10 are allowed for the first 4 skill tests. You scored 11. Each set of points off represent a possible accident. The Program Director tried to explain this to you via several emails last night, that your three mistakes totaling a loss of 11 points, is the same as three possible accidents from lack of control of the motorcycle, according to MSF who has been providing this curriculum for over 50 years. You were even given a 2nd chance by the coach to pass and you failed the second time as well. So it’s more than just an 11 point t fail. You were offered a 2nd class at a greatly reduced rate, and you chose to reject that. Your angry 1-star review is reflected at us for following the criteria of MSF and the laws of the State of Texas we are governed by. We will gladly accept that. There are no participation trophies in the world of motorcycling, only life, injury, or death.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Safety On Two Wheels. Our instructor (Blake) was exceptional. His feedback was direct, valuable and on point. The motorcycles Safety On Two Wheels provided were all like new. It's without doubt or reservation I recommend Safety On Two Wheels for your MSF Class. Their instructors are top notch. In addition, Safety On Two Wheels is a non-profit and their course fee is significantly lower than the other options in the area.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience and super friendly and educational school. Blake was our instructor and made the whole experience very pleasurable. Bikes supplied were in great condition. A+++

Chanda 1 year ago

Negative experience: This is my honest personal experience, and the location was referred to me by my son who obviously had a good experience, but I did not. I think this class would be more appropriate for someone who is not a complete newbie, such as myself, as the course/instruction area is not flat and the hilly aspect definitely made it more difficult for me to get a handle of just the bike before I felt like I was just careening downhill. Blake, the instructor, was also not for me, mumbling the directions rather quickly, which would also be better for someone more experienced. He also made a couple of comments to me that I considered hurtful and unprofessional, but I guess they’re not getting paid to be kind. The demonstrations of the upcoming tasks were very helpful and appreciated, but all in all things moved too quickly for me, ended up falling, and left. Didn’t feel like I got what I paid for and really no comments other than if I came back within 30 days I wouldn’t have to pay to do the certificate again. Definitely not the experience I had anticipated. However, it seemed like the other more experienced drivers were faring pretty well. Even Blake said at the beginning that it was probably one of the hardest courses in Houston. So, just an honest review and good luck with your new riding experience!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are sorry you had a bad experience. According to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation there is a 15-18% fail rate across the country for first time riders just like yourself. We are actually at 12%. Balance is the key and if someone has not been on a bicycle for a long time, they are at a disadvantage. Especially since most training bikes average 300 more pounds than a bicycle. And finally there is a reason motorcycles only make up 2% of the vehicles on the road. As fun as it looks, motorcycling is not for everyone. And we teach the same MSF BRC as every facility in Houston. Good news, there is a 96% pass rate for 2nd time riders retaking the course.

Fantastic experience: I took the experienced course on 4/21/24 and it was a great experience. We had a small class with Blake Harvey as our instructor. He was very knowledgeable and gave excellent instructions on everything we practiced. He was patient and answered every question any student had. I've been riding off and on for over 20 years and I learned a lot of valuable lifelong skills that day, which I will continue to practice them to retain the new knowledge. I highly recommend this business.

Negative experience: Arrogant, and irresponsible. I wonder how many of these reviews were purchased. I’ll take my business to someone that doesn’t have a little man syndrome UPDATE I am quite aware of which company I’m reviewing. Perhaps I should post a copy of the outrageous emails you have sent. Better yet, they will be sent to LoneStar college Administrators. I expect a full apology to Mr McCormick. Does that name ring a bell???!!!! You didn’t say those things to just one person.

Very interesting review Pamela. We took the time to review the names of all our past students and we have never had a Pamela, nor a student with a last name Lee take one of our courses. Furthermore our shortest Instructor is 6 foot all so the “little man syndrome”, comment really makes us believe you may have the wrong company. However, we do wish you the best and hope you can find a motorcycle training company you can feel comfortable with. And you are most welcome to give us a try. By the way we do not purchase reviews.

Fantastic experience: Blake was absolutely phenomenal! He was so patient and helpful throughout the entire process. The classes are pretty small (mine was 4) which means everyone got plenty of hands on help and guidance throughout the 2 day course. I never had to feel nervous or embarrassed about asking additional questions or having a hard time grasping certain things. I came in knowing some (not much) about motorcycles, and I’m so grateful to now be able to safely start my journey as a new rider! Fantastic experience: “Safety on Wheels” is an outstanding facility. Having relocated from Europe to Texas, I was already an experienced rider. However, the class taught me valuable new insights. The curriculum is meticulously designed, allowing natural progression even for those who haven’t ridden a motorcycle before. Without a doubt, I highly recommend taking your lessons here for guaranteed results—guaranteed safety included. ️

Thanks Christos for the great review. We have had several students from Europe move to Texas the past few years and take our course. Fantastic experience: Doc is a professional, highly trained and experienced rider coach. Totally worth it. A must learning experience for anyone experienced or a beginner.

Safety On Two Wheels

Thank you for your review on Doc and our program. He is also the Program Director and mentor to our less experienced RiderCoaches. And we believe the MSF course is the best venue for teaching motorcycle safety to both experienced and beginning riders.

Fantastic experience: Doc is a super knowledgeable professional rider and coach very patient and charismatic gentleman . I highly recommend him

Safety On Two Wheels

Thank you Jorge for your kind review of Doc. As our Program Director and mentor to our other coaches, he understands the pressures involved at learning new skills on motorcycles. And reviews of our other coaches prove they follow Doc’s lead. We hope you enjoy your new sport of motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: Took the 1 day course on 1/29. Was quick and painless. Doc was top notch. 10/10 I'd recommend SOT to anyone looking to take a course.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

The one-day course can sometimes take a little longer than your class. It all depends on the skill of all students in class. Coupled with the willingness to learn from you and your fellow students, Doc said that was one of his most pleasant classes.

Fantastic experience: Great instructor, small class size, and hands on practice. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to learn to ride or just refresh their skills

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thank you for your great review. We keep our class sizes to 7 or less students. That way our instructors can spend as much individual time allowed per student. We believe new riders need quality motorcycles and instructors to learn the new required skills for riding motorcycles.

Fantastic experience: excellent knowledge on the part of the instructor... recommended to learn to ride a motorcycle

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We make sure all of our instructors are safety minded and have a mentorship mentality, while using the MSF curriculum to help new riders learn. We are glad you enjoyed your time with us.

Fantastic experience: Great instrucor, took the time to explain and demonstrate. I was able to learn a lot of the basics that I hadn't really thought too much about. I would highly recommend.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are always glad when students with some prior experience come into our Basic Riders Course and leave with an enhanced knowledge of motorcycle riding and safety. Most students coming into a class have no idea just how different and difficult riding a motorcycle is compared to driving a vehicle. We believe the MSF curriculum is the best form of learning.

Matt Cano 1 year ago

Negative experience: Don’t take the beginner two day class unless you have some experience. Doc is cocky, rude, and impatient. Will rush through the class. 3 out of 5 students failed his class. One of the students left the class on day one. (No im not lying about a review. One student left because he felt uncomfortable, and one student stalled multiple times the last exercise of the skill exam, which is automatic fail(glad doc still passed him). Please feel free to contact me anytime)( Holes in the argument. You contacted everyone else because of the review, but not the person who made the review. You offered a free retake, but did not offered it to anyone else. Safety is expected in any motorist course. But also proper instruction from the beginning, not after people start leaving)

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We chose to reach out to the other students in your class because of your harsh and unusual review before responding. There seems to be some confusion between your version and the other students in your class of 5. You are correct in that one student chose to leave. He was uncomfortable at that speed required for the 7th exercise so he bowed out. He did take Doc’s offer to retake the class for free and has rescheduled already. We also found out the class ran till 5:30 pm on day two which is about two hours longer than normal. Doc took the extra time on the range exercises for the students to learn. That does not sound rushed to us. Doc is strict with the exercises and curriculum because he understands the danger of riding motorcycles on public roads. He does not give out trophies for showing up. We also found out that you were the only failure on the Skill Test of the remaining 4 students. We follow the MSF curriculum explicitly and therefore students pass or fail by their own comprehension or ability and not at any will of our instructors. It is unfortunate for you that you had an unpleasant experience, but we also recognize that riding motorcycles are not for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Doc was great with sharing his knowledge. Professor Blake is beyond exceptional. Very amazing and patient. Amazing class!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We appreciate the good review. Your class was unusual as Doc and Blake seldom get to work the same class. Our program uses a 7 to 1 student to teacher ratio. Blake just happened to need that afternoon off and Doc took his class room position. Doc is a walking encyclopedia of motorcycle safety who loves sharing his knowledge with new riders. We think Blake is a younger version of Doc but with less experience. And they both enjoy teaching new riders on the range. We hope you enjoy your new sport of motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: This class was fun. It taught me a lot of good habits I otherwise wouldn’t have picked up on. Blake was a great instructor and really took the time to be patient and explain things through no matter how many questions you. All-in-all I would highly recommend this class to anyone I’m going to sign my wife up as well.

Thank you for the good review. All of our instructors have a heart for teaching new students, and Blake is one of our best. We try to keep the classes fun because studies show that students remember more when they are enjoying the learning process.

Fantastic experience: Blake and Louise were great instructors! They were extremely patient and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for better instructors. Although the class only lasted two days, they did a splendid job teaching the basic principles of motorcycle safety and riding. I highly recommend this class if it’s your first time handling a motorcycle. I’m glad I went with Safety On Two Wheels!

Thanks for the great review Heidi. Blake is one of our best RiderCoaches and Louise is an experienced rider, but new to coaching. Good to hear she did well. Enjoy your new world of motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with this course. We had blake as our instructor. The biggest thing I noticed with this course is that they arent trying to just push people through and check off boxes so they can get their license. Instead it is very safety oriented and the instructors are genuinly keen on making sure you have a safe riding experience both in the class and out on the roadway once you get your license. Would recommend this class!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thanks for the great review Mason. And your observation is correct. We are more geared towards rider safety and understanding the risk and how to apply the risk offset, then just getting students through the curriculum.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad he enjoyed the class and was able to have a good learning experience. Our Program Director is big on positive reinforcement when it comes to teaching new riders. Typically they are already a little bit nervous when they get on the bike for the first time and patience is the key to helping them overcome the initial jitters. Looking forward to helping you learn as well someday.

Kurtis Foley 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Instructor was A class. Kept the class engaged and made learning fun.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Our goal is to try to engage with every student on a personal basis as much as possible. It helps their learning new muscle memory required to operate the clutch, front brake leaver, shifter, and rear brake peddle simultaneously. All while learning to balance a 300lb bike and control the throttle. There is so much more involved in riding a motorcycle than the average person realizes. And we like to help students obtain their dreams of motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: Started out the two day class never having ridden or touched a motorcycle before. Left having passed and able to get my license. Thanks to Doc. He was an amazing instructor and very focused on safety on the course and after when you go out on your own. Would recommend everyone take a msf course. I learned so much and can't wait to practice more

Safety On Two Wheels

We are so glad you enjoyed the MSF Basic Riders Course. We chose this particular curriculum from MSF for the classroom portion. It gives our experienced RiderCoaches the opportunity to share personal perspectives on safety to help emphasize what MSF offers. And Doc is the best. His 50+ years of accident free riding experience is invaluable to new riders.

Amy Soto 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: My experience was wonderful, Doc is an amazing instructor, very patient and very informative, he was constantly going over how the motorcycles work and also prepared us very well for the written and driving test. I would highly recommend if you are wanting to learn how to ride!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad you enjoyed the class. Doc is very passionate about riding and safety and sharing that passion with new riders. As our senior RiderCoach, he makes sure all our coaches both understand and explain how motorcycle physics works while on the range and in class. He understands knowledge is powerful for new riders. It helps them trust the new actions of riding they are trying to learn for their own personal adventure of riding.

Jonathan Watterson 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Doc was a great instructor. Extremely knowledgeable, thorough and helpful. This company is truly concerned with making better riders out of every client. This isn’t a lay down / easy course. Bring your A Game for the experienced riders course. Thanks again Doc for making an affordable and rewarding product.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad you enjoyed the MSF one-day class for experienced unlicensed riders to get their M endorsement. As an active participant in the motorcycle community, Doc often hears unlicensed riders mention they don’t need to take a “parking lot” class. And every time he teaches that class, the riders come out talking about how much they learned. Especially when it comes to progressive emergency braking, swerving, and overall control of their own motorcycles.

We are glad you enjoyed your time with us. Doc was telling us the next day how your class was very active in their learning. He is very passionate about motorcycles and safety, and appreciates classes where students are hungry to learn. Fantastic experience: The instructor doc jones was exceptional! Patient, friendly and a very good teacher. I loved learning with this teacher. The course was challenging and very enlightening on safe riding. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to take the msf course!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad you enjoyed your time with us in class. Having ridden in foreign countries, Doc understands how sometimes experienced riders from other countries are not fully prepared for motorcycling in the US. Especially in the fast paced Harris county metro area with all of our traffic. Therefore, he embraces their learning process as though they are new riders to make sure they are as prepared to be safe over here.

Crystal Snider 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Doc and his course. Just amazing, took the time to work with me and encourage me to actually see in myself what he saw in me. The knowledge you’ll gain as a new or experienced rider is untouched with his classes. I highly recommend Safety On Two Wheels to any rider looking to get their motorcycle license. Thanks again Doc!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad you enjoyed yourself in class. As our senior RiderCoach, Doc also trains our other coaches on how to try to reach each student on an individual level. We recognize their lives are in our hands as they are learning the new sport of motorcycling and we take it seriously. Doc is always reminding us that students are going to ride a bike whether they pass a class or not. So it’s our job to help them learn and overcome any hinderances we are able to recognize and support.

Michael Andrews 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Doc was an amazing instructor! He was very patient and easy going. I wouldn't recommend any other beginner safety course. Remember people keep your head up!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

As a seasoned rider and ex-track racer from his twenties, Doc embraces the MSF Basic Riders Course wholeheartedly. He tells us it’s very close to his first two days from track school back in the 70’s. And what he learned in that training has helped him stay accident free for over 50 years of motorcycling. And yes, keeping your head up and looking where you want to go is a major step towards successful safe riding.

James covington 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Our instructor "Doc" was knowledgeable and patient, we had a small class of five, all across the age groups. I would recommend the safety class to any riders, with or without a license. (And if you are curious, all five of us passed.) SQUEEZE THE PIG!!!!!! (Take the class, get the joke.)

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Doc started Safety On Two Wheels because of his love for riding and teaching new riders the safety aspects. Our maximum class size is only seven students. And that’s the way we like it. Doc has taught large classes at other locations where two coaches are in the class. And he believes it just does not give the new rider the singular hands on experience as a smaller class does. So we followed his advice. We hope you are enjoying your new sport of motorcycling.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Doc is awesome at helping new riders overcome their obstacles in learning. Riding a motorcycle is not for the faint of heart and can be intimidating at times. Especially during the first day. And as our senior RiderCoach he is constantly mentioning our other coaches in his techniques of spotting weakness in students and doing our best to help each one overcome those challenges.

Brandi Jennings 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Doc is an amazing instructor; he is patient, gives wonderful feedback and you can tell he loves what he teaches and wants your success as much as you do. The class sizes are small which allows for some great individual attention. I felt much more comfortable pushing myself under Doc's supervision and with the skills he taught (and that I plan to continue practicing on my own) I am excited to embark further on my motorcycle journey. Cannot recommend Safety On Two Wheels enough - if you're thinking of signing up for an MSF course and are intimidated, scared, anything - sign up here, you won't regret it.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

We are glad you enjoyed your experience with us. Doc is a very passionate coach and his love for people fuels that passion as he mentors our other coaches. He tells us you have already texted him with updates of your progress and how proud he is of you as well as his other students who continue their learning journey. Stop by sometime on your bike and visit us. It will also be an encouragement to new riders.

We appreciate your great review. Our Program Director is passionate about proper riding skills to help promote the safe operation of a motorcycle. And our RiderCoaches enjoy teaching those new skills to novice riders, but they really like helping experienced riders hone their existing skills to safer levels.

Hello Hunter 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I went to this course and "DOC" and blake are extremely kind and encouraging. Not once did i ever feel judged with my mistakes. They are very kind and care about your life on a motorcycle and aren't just giving you knowledge to only pass the test. They are giving you knowledge you'll need to survive out there which i loved. The range is sloped in a lot of areas which makes you a way better rider than if you went anywhere else.

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thanks for your great and thorough review. We typically only have one coach per class of a max of 7 students. But Doc enjoys dropping in from time to time just to help out our other RiderCoaches. Not that they need it, it’s just fun for him. And you happened to get Blake who is one of our best coaches. And Doc chose this range because of the slopes. He wants our graduates to be as prepared for the real world of motorcycling as possible in the two-day class.

Fantastic experience: 10/10. Blake was amazing and showed so much care for his students. I’ve been riding already for a while, and he showed me so many great habits to implement. It was hotter than hell, but it was worth it. Won’t find a better course. I made the drive from College Station each morning, and it was worth it. I’m legal now! Thank y’all so much for what y’all do!

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thanks for the stellar review on Blake. When he came onboard, he embraced Doc’s passion for helping new riders learn, and existing riders become better. You must have taken the class this past summer during the heatwave. It was hot! And we are glad you chose us even though there is a rider course in the Bryan/College Station area. For some reason we have several A&M students make the 1.5 hr drive both ways just to take their motorcycle training class with us. Hopefully the word is getting out about passion for coaching.

Alex B 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Took the 2 day course and learned a ton! Never rode a motorcycle before this class and Blake, the instructor, was awesome. Chill and funny while still being very serious and educational. I had a small class (started with 5) and that’s about as big as they let the classes get. More than enough time and flexibility to ask any questions you have, test out new skills, and get critiqued along the way. Blake would even show us photos of ourselves doing the exercises so he could break down what we were doing wrong and how to correct it. I’ve heard many horror stories of other MSF courses throughout the state, so I definitely got lucky finding this one first. ‍ Edit: Advice to new riders is to practice first before trying the course. Use a friends bike, rent one, or do whatever to get some reps in before going! I had 0 experience going in and nearly failed the skills test.. still worth the money if I failed, though

Safety On Two Wheels
Safety On Two Wheels

Thanks for the great and thorough review. We hold our class size to a max of 7, just so we can have a good ratio of coach to students. Although the MSF Basic Riders Course is designed for a totally novice rider to learn, there is about a 15-18% fail rate across the US the first time. There is so much to learn and understand about how both hands and both feet have to do different things simultaneously just to control a motorcycle. Doc, our Program Director understands this and is passionate about using positive and patient reinforcement to help new riders learn. Taking short videos of students to help them see what they are doing incorrect was Blake’s idea, and it works. We now use that additional teaching tool, as needed, in all of our classes now.
