Fantastic experience: In terms of virtual instruction, this is the peak. These instructors teach you the most important habits, dare I say the only habits you must master. Videos are super easy to understand and fun to watch, with plenty of demonstration. Nothing convoluted or boring about Yamaha Champ School. HIGHLY recommend to any rider, novice or vet. Young or old. Fast or slow. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I think this is the best value and most comprehensive online motorcycle course you'll find on the internet. It has a wealth of information and answers all the questions you might have and some I didn't think of. I orginally enrolled in the The Core Curriculum and found the material informative and engaging with quizes and where you can also ask questions, it was so good that I signed up for the other courses Traffic Survival, Track Day and New Rider. My background is that I am acreditated motorcycle instructor and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and these range of courses have something for everyone. I highly recommend anyone with from a new rider to highly experienced rider try at least one course as I'm sure you will find it invaluable to improving your riding.

And i still learned some things in this course, either “why” or “how”. All in a no-nonsense practical format. Fantastic experience: I have gone through this course twice. The first time took two days. The amount of information and practice drills in this course is much more than I expected. If you are confused about anything repeat the lesson or go through the entire course again. The second time around, I understood things I did not understand the first time around. The instructors thoroughly understand the science of motorcycling, and there is most certainly a science and found a way to relate it to the rest of us. Having taken the course twice, I can say they succeeded very well at giving easy-to-understand explanations. The cost of the course is quite affordable if you consider it took two days to finish it.

Fantastic experience: Reporting out after 2 day Yamaha Champions Riding School, Mid-Ohio. Concerning motorcycles, I have been trained, taught, instructed, guided, etc. over the years. Often such advice falls into Oscar Wilde territory - I always pass it on, for it is rarely of any use to me. But one tends to get what one pays for, and this school is anything but cheap. $2,900 + $800 bike rental + travel, accommodation etc. Let’s call it $5k and 5 days all in. The school is preceded by ~6hrs online lectures, videos, quizzes. Nick Ienatsch speaks calmly, and deconstructs every aspect of riding and racing, explaining the physics of a motorcycle and philosophy of riding. Trainers are professionally impeccable. Cody Wyman, Tino Pietri, Eziah Davis, Stefano Mesa are all storied champions in North American racing. They know their craft, and are able to articulate what and how they do it. In addition to learning to ride faster, the course stresses how to ride safer, and how to mitigate the reasons we crash - lack of focus, abruptness, etc. Relearning braking, braking lighter and longer - past tip in, trading lean (risk) & brakes within available grip. Gentleness on & off the brakes to preserve geometry. TBH I never would have thought I could be comfortable approaching a 90° turn at ~100mph and rely purely on rear brake & throttle, yet there I was. I am not the fastest out on the track, and perhaps never will be. But this school has given me the tools, I now know what I never knew, to maximize my success by riding safer, smoother, and faster. At the start of day one I was tentative, on an unknown bike, focusing on systematically applying each of the aspects. Last free lap of day 2, I passed three riders in a sweeping move at the T12-13 that I had hunted down, three full turns behind at the outset. I started planing the move at T6 as I caught up with the back marker of the group. One of the three commented later - wow, you were flying, we three were really trying hard and you cut through like we were standing still and took the turn so smooth - an uphill left hander. Fantastic experience: Absolutely best course I have taken. The weatlh of knowledge that these instructors have cannot be understated. Whether you are new to riding or an experienced rider you will come out of this curriculum a better rider. The emphasis on braking. Especially the front brake and trail braking has been invaluable to me as a motorcycle rider.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the CHAMPION HABITS: THE CORE CURRICULUM course and I am greatly impressed with the content which was covered and have already recommended the course to friends. I am 74 (75 in a few months) and I have been riding for approx. 25 yrs. The adage "you're never too old to learn" is aptly true especially for this motorcycle enthusiast! Note also that I am a member of the Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club and one of the standards we uphold is "safe riding"! I recently had breakfast with a few soldiers and was pleased to find out the the president of our chapter in Hartford, CT had previously taken the course and also had rave reviews regarding the course. Fantastic experience: Taking ChampU online course. Very good, and easy to follow explantions to how to ride and the rationale behind it. The videos are expicative and I'm learning new things and/or gettig a better understand of what I'm doing. The questions at the end of the sections are good but the multiple choice answers are so childish, almost ridiculous. They should be there for checking how much the of the lesson is retained and understood, not just to get to the next section. Revise those "wrong alternatives" in the answers please! Fantastic experience: The video presentations were extremely well done; close and personal discussions as if you were standing there on the track! All the information provided whether on the track, street, hyway, etc. were all beneficial and in some cases heard and repeated many times throughout the training....the importance of Smooth operation in terms of applying the brakes, or throttle, weight transfer, were carefully discussed and then shown in close and personal demonstrations by Nick and all his staff members...I will finish up by performing the drills as outlined in the program to further my skills before coming to one of the two day track locations in the USA! I urge you to take this course and open your mind to the detailed instructions that will make you a safer and better focused SMOOTH driver in all driving conditions!

Fantastic experience: I live outside of the United States, so taking the actual live courses probably won't happen anytime soon... :-( But I took their online "Champ U" core course, and it's really good - lots of useful information and insights I would not think about by myself. These guys put a lot of dedication on their work. I recommend Champ U to any rider looking for good, consolidated information to keep on improving. Also, I hope YCRS keeps these online courses available and updated as time goes by.

Fantastic experience: I have taken two online courses and they both cement in skills that I have learned by experience(40 years riding), and corrected some bad habits. While on active duty I took the MSF beginners and advanced courses, these go well beyond those. they help explain a lot of the why behind the what. I also believe they teach some methods that differ and are better than the MSF courses. I highly recommend them

Fantastic experience: I have attended a lot of riding schools but the Champ School rates as my #1 pick as a track school. They aren't cheap but if you can afford it, it's worth the money.

Fantastic experience: I find the ChampC course excellent. I am 78 and have been riding for 20 years. I have ridden in Europe a couple times and Africa a couple times as well as all over the US and Canada. I have taken off road training as well as the initial basic training opportunities. I find that this course is not a review of skills that I have picked up, I am learning new riding skills that I should have been using for the last 20 years. I am looking forward to becoming a better technical rider when it stops snowing.

Fantastic experience: I'm taking the online Core Curriculum course. This was promoted and supported through the BMW MOA. I am very impressed and very satisfied with what I have seen so far. I always used to read and re-read David Hough's Motorcycle riding book during the winter to get myself ready for spring and a new riding season (up here we have what's called winter ...a VERY non riding season). The Champ U course has taken me farther and with a greater understanding of riding dynamics than Hough's books. I am very impressed at the quality of the on line course both in the information presented and the way it is presented. I feel it will help make me both a safer AND better rider. I wholly recommend it!!

Fantastic experience: I joined their online course "CHAMPIONS HABITS: The Core Curriculum". Super detail, super easy to understand, super helpful... I practice their drills daily - until now (for over last 2 years). Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I did the core habits and the traffic survival courses. I enjoyed the online courses overall. The content was insightful and well-structured. However, the only drawback was the audio quality, which occasionally had static noise, affecting the overall experience.

Fantastic experience: The online school is excellent; can't wait for the in person school in Feb. I have done up to level 4 in the California Superbike School, and can report the Yamaha Champ School has totally different offerings. I highly recommend both, if you can swing it. The Champ School online component gets into the fine details of technique, which I LOVE!. The drills are a huge help.

Fantastic experience: The training is professionally tailored for the experienced rider, Nick and his team do a really good job at keeping the student engaged, and providing solid rationalization for the techniques advocated. The only criticism I would have thus far would be the launch training email. Once registered for the course, it would be nice to have an email with a large, “launch training” button to get the student immediately into the course.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the most impactful and valuable education I've ever had in motorcycling, both on and off the track. The YCRS curriculum and its derivatives are the best value per dollar to be had, and ChampSchool helped me maximize my return on seat time. The amount of talent in the front of the classroom was insane, yet they took the time and patience to explain everything incredibly clearly and concisely. The on track drills worked insanely well, giving me quick confidence to brake deep to the slowest point, and pick up pace safely. I should have taken this sooner, and will for sure be back for the grad program next year. Thanks to Chip Spalding, Robertino Pietri, Ben Walters, and the others for your time and patience, and thanks AJ Ciampa for the push to register. Have a great winter, see you all next year.

Fantastic experience: At first, I was distracted by Nick's enormous arms, but I quickly found the content of the course to be even more engaging. I have heard conflicting information from well-meaning friends, YouTube videos, and strangers at Deal's Gap, so it has been very valuable to learn from the professionals through Champ U. I am looking forward to attending Champ School soon to help solidify the concepts as I work to become a more proficient rider.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended Champ Street on Thursday 9/14 at Carolina Motorsports Park. I just wanted to share that Scott and Mark were phenomenal instructors. Not only did they present the program content clearly and seriously , they did it while keeping it fun, entertaining, and engaging. I feel like the instructors had as much fun teaching as our class did learning, and I think it really shows that they have a true desire to teach others and help them grow their skills. I really did get a good basic understanding of the class concepts from the champ u program….I actually purchased this a while back, as I didn’t know it was included with the in-person class signup…but the in person class just helped to build on this and practicing these drills on the kart track was a blast. I have been riding for 17 years, but I should have taken this class a lot sooner. I feel like a much more educated rider, and a safer one! The only things I would have liked would be: -More personal feedback on top of what was already provided…I understand they can only do so much with a fairly large group -A longer class day to practice more, I was there excited and ready to go the night before. The day went fast and I was sad to see it end. I definitely plan to return and take this class again, maybe make it a yearly training refresher….. I’m really considering the full 2 day experience as well. Thank you Scott and Mark, and thank you YCRS!

Fantastic experience: Champ U is the online course that the Yamaha Champions Riding School offers to complement their in-person training sessions. This is an excellent course: well-organized, really informative and applicable course to make you a better and safer rider. Totally worth the affordable price they charge. Can't recommend this highly enough - along with going out to practice what they teach!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely worth every penny! It is called ChampSchool because our coaches were multi-time racing champions in MotoAmerica, WERA, and others. And they teach all the latest techniques to future champions at every iteration of their program. The curriculum continuously evolves as new champions demonstrate novel ways to become faster and safer. This means that what is seen in one year may change as new riders take the podium after introducing new techniques. The course also includes advance access to ChampU, a well-designed online course. ChampU enables students to become well-versed in the lessons and techniques prior to the 2-day event. This means that only a short classroom refresher is needed so more time can be spent on the track. I signed up for ChampSchool as I had been a road rider for decades and a dirt rider for several years, but was brand new to track racing. With only one track day prior to attending, it was phenomenal to see how much my skills improved over this two day event! I figured I should learn proper skills early rather than having to break bad habits learned from friends, fellow track riders, and "Internet Professors." Does the training work? I was 40 mph faster and lap times were slashed by over 15 seconds when I returned to Summit Point for my next track day! A couple of bonuses: the 2-day course includes an introduction to ChampBody which was developed and led by a yoga instructor and an orthopedic rehab clinician. It focuses on three factors to help riders stay safer and go faster: Mind, Body, and Bike. ChampBody is also now offered as an online course to learn the fitness, mobility, and nutrition habits to take your riding to another level. Another new addition is ChampGrad. This school is only available for ChampSchool graduates looking to move beyond general track riding training to working on specific areas that you want to work on improving. With a 2:1 student-instructor ration, it is sure to correct targeted track challenges. The entire staff was excellent, the track was great, food was delicious, and I walked away a far Safer, Faster rider after 2 days than in my prior 30+ years of riding. I cannot recommend ChampSchool enough!

Fantastic experience: I've been teaching MSF & CMSP basic courses since 1991, taken Keith Code Superbike School, a Rawhyde introductory ADV course and more, and found Champ U to be a great supplement to everything I've learned before. I knew about trail-braking and many other skills described in this series. However, the cadre explain it so much better than I knew before and the exercises are ideal for turning it into muscle memory. I enjoyed it so much, and found it so useful, that I'm paying for my 20-yr old son to take it too!

There is no reason not to even for seasoned riders because the truth is we’re ALL still learning. I don’t care how many miles you’ve got under your belt this course will make you a better rider. Get Champ U! This is an update. I’m going thru the Champ U curriculum for the second time. I honestly believe it’s a good idea to keep going thru the entire program because it keeps everything fresh in your mind. I’m a two to five time a week canyon rider in Southern California mostly on Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest (even met a couple Champ U instructors up there last year) some of the most iconic and recognized roads anywhere in the world. Also some of the most dangerous as there are cliffs that are 1000s of feet down. If you run wide up there you better have a parachute. Champ U has kept me safe from me. Cheers to all the creators and instructors at Champ U! You’re saving lives and there is no more obvious benefit for riders to complete the course. I urge all riders that see this review to embark on this journey. Like me you’ll find it will be the best money you ever spend on motorcycling.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the CHAMP U: NEW RIDER online course. I am so impressed with the level of professionalism this course presents. I’m a firefighter and our department has gone to a check box “watch these videos” education system that is lack luster to say the least so I was skeptical about taking an online motorcycle riding course. I was blown away by how well the information is presented. My wife is a professional educator and she would peak over my shoulder as I took the course. She grew up in the auto racing world and commented how good the information presentation was. I’ve ridden dirt bikes for 42 years and driven emergency vehicles for 20 years. I just bought my first street bike and found the information indispensable. I feel so blessed that God Put Champ U in my path. I can’t imagine riding on the street without this information. It was nice to see a lot of the emergency driving techniques I use at work in this curriculum. Thank you Champ School. My plan is to get a PhD from Champ School.

Fantastic experience: I will say, I feel in better control after finishing the first few modules of the core curriculum. Even though I put off starting the classes initially, it was very enjoyable once I got started. I really appreciate that we can go back and review the courses at any time. They are very professionally presented and straightforward.

Fantastic experience: I just completed the online ChampU New Rider Course and the Core Curriculum Course. I highly recommend getting the bundle and doing both courses. I decided to go to ChampU based on the advice of Greg Widmar of MotoJitsu. At first, I thought it was going to be a racing school that I would have to "detune" to adapt the information to street riding, because I'm not a racer; however, when I viewed the courses I quickly realized that they were teaching one core philosophy of safe and professional motorcycle operation. The core belief system upon which they teach is that a motorcycle is a "highly engineered machine" that is designed to function best when operated in accordance with the engineers' design. The fundamental principles are the same regardless of where you are going to ride (street or track) or what you are going to ride. These online courses are great learning resources that you can review as many times as you like, and they provide very useful drills that you can use every time you ride. Go for it. It will save your life some day.

Fantastic experience: I HIGHLY recommend this course to EVERYONE who rides; whether a newbie or veteran rider! It's informative, well-organized, uses excellent video demonstrations, and the instructors use easy to understand terminology which offers excellent clarity of the lessons being taught. I LOVE fact that I was able to pause and repeat individual lessons (and take notes), which allowed me to visualize the specific techniques being taught. I now have a better understanding as to WHY my motorcycle performs in certain ways within various environments. But most importantly, I now know HOW to CORRECT certain "habits" which have prevented me from being the most efficient and safest rider I can be. I'm SO EXCITED to not only go out and PRACTICE what I've learned, but also to attend my up-coming 1-Day Champ Street Riding Course! Thank you YCRS for your EXCELLENT course!! This course is worth EVERY minute required to complete it!!

Fantastic experience: I have taken both Champ U online Courses - New Rider and Core Curriculum. I am not a 'new rider,' according to the 42+ years I've been on Motorcycles, but I am astounded and humbled by how much I truly did not know. All of those myths about 'not touching the front brake,' 'just lean the bike more to get through that corner,' and on and on and on - absolutely busted! It's a near miracle that I've made it to 50 yrs old without having had any serious issues! If you are a new rider - TAKE THESE COURSES!! Take them before you develop habits that go contrary to how your motorcycle is designed to be ridden. Instead of listening to your buddies/family members, take the advice of the pros, who know what they're doing, so that you can mitigate the risks of this inherently dangerous sport. if you are a seasoned rider - TAKE THESE COURSES!! I promise you, there is tons to learn, and if you check your ego at the door, you will be amazed at how much sense this stuff makes, and when you take it to the pavement, and implement these concepts, you will see your riding elevated to a new level, and then some.
