Negative experience: Two years ago I swore I would never do business with Cannonball again. They lied to me about my 2014 Breakout saying I had an outdated tuner was my starting and running issue. I took it to Legacy Harley in Effingham, Illinois. They found the problem. Fuel pump and regulator. Fixed and runs perfect. So my wife saw an Ultra she wanted to buy at Cannonball because my Breakout is not comfortable for her. Management promised to work hard at getting my business back. I ordered a LARGE passenger cup holder for it in early September and was on back order. Arrived finally, wrong year. Reordered, on back order they failed to call when it showed the second time. I called them. They ordered the small one, not the LARGE one ordered. Can't even get a drink holder right. Legacy is my shop again.

Negative experience: Sent bike there for exhaust leak said was fixed a when I got there it was not turn around hours later of me sitting a waiting they informed me my muffler was broken. An then today they was supposed to get my bike because I can’t shift gears an who they sent knocked an said he called an texted an he did not I was told I would get a call when on way
Negative experience: They're low on inventory and especially low on experts in the industry. Very low on accessories and merchandise for the bikes. Practically none. I tried to buy a phone holder, they didn't have all the parts. Even in clothing, I tried to buy a pair of gloves the girl couldn't get signed in on the register. I lost interest and left. Oh, and the Saturday bar is a complete joke. They have only a few Anheisur Bush products . It's as if they don't even care. They're not showing the place any love. And it shows. Their sister store in Fishers is great. I had a really good experience their.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic customer service! So friendly
Fantastic experience: I purchased a used bike from Cannonball earlier in the year. A few minor issues came up with the motorcycle, but the service department was always happy to take a look at the bike and fix those problems. After riding the bike for about a month, a more serious issued developed. Even though it took awhile to figure out what the problem was, they came through again and took care of everything. The bike runs great, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is great and always makes you feel welcome. They answer any questions you have and try really hard to make things right. A special shout out to Trish and Jim in service and Darrian who got my motorcycle back to me as soon as possible. It’s nice to have a local dealership as good as Cannonball.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. We did the rider to rider program and it went very smoothly. Deandra, Sarah, Kenzie, Adam, were all very informative and explained the process very well. Brock in service was very nice, explained the trike and additional options that could be added. Also, Brock and Sarah did a great job of describing the Pit Pass membership, which we did end up purchasing. I hadn't been to this HD dealership since the previous owners, it was a MUCH better atmosphere and experience.
Fantastic experience: Being my first Harley, everyone was exceptionally helpful in explaining things and answering my questions. The buying process was quick and painless, and everyone dealt with was very knowledgeable. I will be a repeat customer in the future.
Negative experience: Called for service after one of the owners said they can work on my bike that I got from harley. They said not 1 of their technicians can work on the Evo motor. Wow Evo at time was one of their main motors before they went Chinese bikes with Porsche motors. Now the liberty bike won't make it to the funeral on Monday for a Fallin police officer. They was only shop open and all I needed was a coil put on 10 minute job. They was to busy playing in the dunking booth then honor a hero

Positive experience: Cool store with friendly staff and a wide selection of both merch and bikes. Prices were a bit high but that’s to be expected. Store was clean, modern, and well organized.
Negative experience: They use JD Power for their low ball offers to buy Harleys and then sell them over Kelly Blue book numbers.. that's shady and dishonest.. at least the guy in the maintenance dept was a good dude. Sales is a joke.

Negative experience: The worst experience for selling bike to Cannonball, offer about half of the price than other dealer offered to me, the lady there told me this price base on JD power so and so, and they need make money on it, I understand all. but the truth is I checked JD power, their suggest price is over $2500 than Cannonball give me. On Harley official website the lowest price they give me still about $1000 more, I thought at least they should obey they Harley company. ALL IN ALL NOT TRUST HERE, JUST GO TO INDY OR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Fantastic experience: In the area for work. Swung in and checked it out. Nice shop. They were pretty busy, but people were helpful. They have a back area with did, drinks etc and an outdoors porch with seating under a roof. Not a huge shop but a decent selection of stuff. Swing in and check it out of in the area.
Fantastic experience: Dalton sold me the switchback! And Sarah made the purchasing experience a breeze. The whole team was pretty rad and was a cool experience from the moment I stepped in. Wasn't even planning to buy when I walked in but everything went my way.

Negative experience: Last year when traveling on I 70 east an unhinged employee in a Cannonball HD service van attempted to run Me off the road for a solid 10 miles with my wife and 2 kids in the car. The guy was a complete psycho and I contacted the General Manager about it multiple times only to be ignored. Not a good look for your brand. Edit in response to Reply: Funny they want to talk after I posted this. Check your emails from May/June 2023, I emailed David Dellen and HD Corporate about it several times last year with all the information

Fantastic experience: Was in a hurry on a Saturday and they got bike ready while I road my trade in back home to get prior appointments done and then we came back and finished the deal . Purchased some exhaust and a few other things and they stayed open after close and got them on for me before we left. Love the bike so far.

Fantastic experience: When I walked into Cannonball HD, I was really nervous. I didn't know anything about motorcycles, and I still kind of don't. However, the team there, although looking the part of hardened bikers, were so incredibly nice, kind, educated, well mannered, and accepting folks. Fantastic experience: Every staff member from the sales floor to the loan team to the office manager did a tremendous job helping me find the right bike for me. Even when I went to the accessories dept, they were extremely helpful and helping me find the right jacket and boots. Overall the whole store needs their own parade to ring the bell as recognition or maybe lunch provided for a day as a thank you for what they do. Negative experience: Long story short I feel as if not only my hard earned money but a gift for my girlfriend was taken from me, I purchased a Saddlemen seat from here was informed of a 6 to 8 week lead time on seat to be made, no custom stitching just run of the mill seat. Here I am end of February 3 months later after multiple calls being told I would be contacted the following day, to which I was never contacted to know where or when my seat would appear as I never received any information from the manufacturer (email or even a text message) my girlfriend finally got an answer that the gentlemen who took my order never placed it with the manufacturer, options they gave was a refund or a display model and 15% discount on a Harley Davidson gift card, very disappointed customer will Be thinking twice before buying anything from Harley Davidson that has a “lead time on manufacturing” this includes motor cycles. Fantastic experience: This place is under new management and the team is awesome! I bought my dream Softail today and I have to shout out to Brandon, Eric , Sarah and essentially Rob the GM. They worked with me to get the bike I wanted, even let me on the dyno! Brandon took me for a test drive in like 20 degree weather! Got all my accessories put on and they are delivering it to my house and picking up my bike. Highly recommend the team at cannonball! Update: Parts and service department is awesome as well! Fantastic experience: Everyone at Cannonball was so helpful. I didn't come in looking to purchase and needed time to review personal finances before making a decision and the team there helped me feel confident in my decision by providing all the information to work with and the space to make my decision. Fantastic experience: Truthfully, I have had very few positive experiences with any of the Harley Davidson dealerships I have visited which is 6-7 in total. This also included Cannonball in Terre Haute initially. The general attitude of sales is “Whatever, the next guy or woman behind you will pay full price.” Unless I was willing to fork over MSRP, no one wanted to talk to me and most all were rude on top of that. After sending a complaint letter to HD corporate, I was contacted by the general manager of Harley Indy West. She was responsive, as was the salesman and I ended up purchasing a 2022 Road King Special. That was a positive experience overall. Once I put a few miles on the RK, I decided that I wanted a bike with a fairing. As Cannonball is the closest dealer to my home, I stopped in from time to time to look at bikes but again no one really wanted to discuss a trade-in, even though the RK had only 100 miles on it. Finally, I told my story to a newer manager there, Adam Carter. He assured me that he wanted to repair the bad interaction with Harley and would work with me on getting into the bike I wanted. After multiple meetings, Adam made good. He worked more than one deal, was responsive, proactive, and sincere. He definitely took care of me, and we were able to come to an agreement on a 2023 Street Glide Special. His service was excellent. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the service I received from Fit Specialist Kylee Ramon who was a pleasure to deal with as well. She was professional and responsive. Lastly, I want to note that Business Manager Sarah Chatman, who handled the financial paperwork was a pleasure to deal with. She, like Kylee, and Adam represent the dealership well. - MC

Negative experience: Way overpriced! Got Harley’s like 10 years old with over 30,000 miles on them priced like they are new. I went to a NON Harley dealer and got one way cheaper. Don’t get how Harley stealers are charging these prices. Make sure you look up the true value of the bike before you buy it! Chances are it’s $5000 over price at least!

Negative experience: Poor customer service when it comes to getting Your bike repaired and they suck at returning phone calls. I brought my bike in to have a fuel check valve. To be Replaced on my Harley Davidson. I was told It would only take a week and it took them a month to repair because they did not place my bike in their computers for repair And also ask them to check the front end on my motorcycle after getting the bike back. I asked them. Did they check the front end on the motorcycle? They said yes, I leave the dealership. My bike still had a wobble in the front end a month goes by. I finally decide to pull it in my garage. Take The wheel off myself Found out Later after inspecting it myself i seen the bike needed new wheel bearings . needless to say, my safety was in jeopardy and they never did once check the front end Of this motorcycle I call the dealership tell them what I find on this motorcycle. And ask for a manager the person I spoke to on the phone was from their service department, the man said. I'll make sure my manager calls you back, my main problem is everytime you ask someone in this dealership to return a phone call they never do they shall call you back. I'll call you back, I'll call you back, I'll call you back, but they never do seem to call back gets kind of irritating when people don't return phone calls. I understand you're a busy dealership but you know what? Sometimes that customer on the phone could make you possible good revenue. Learn how to answer the phone calls back instead of saying I'll call you back. I will not ever come into your dealership again considering the problems that I've had. And I will not be calling you back sighn Overall

Negative experience: Too expensive, and they’ll low ball the hell out of you for a trade in or sell. Fine example, they had a 2015 road glide with 20k on it and wanted 23k for the bike, went over to Thompsons motor sports and found a 2018 road glide with 7k on it for 20k (same bike) which is the better deal? Just wanted an estimated value of my bike (not looking to trade it in or sell) they came back and said they wouldn’t give me anymore than a thousand dollars for my 2014 Electra Glide. Straight up won’t give them my business again for anything and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Thompsons has the same if not better bikes for better prices for Harley Davidson motorcycles.

I can explain how we do our bike buying process and as you may know we take into consideration a lot of different factors when pricing a vehicle for trade or bike buy. We use a comprehensive tool and are always up to date with the current marketplace value on any motorcycle. With that information we give a value range of what we could offer, which could be more or less depending on the condition of the bike. Negative experience: Me and my husband went in there to get a quote on some bikes we were looking at dynas and we’re willing to walk out of there with two of them the sales team was great until we got to the sales manager he on purposely took my husband as far away from me as possible and made sure to talk in quiet tones so I couldn’t hear him he completely ignored me the entire time until shaking my hand to say goodbye when my husband had had enough they weren’t willing to work on a deal they weren’t willing to even give my husband a trade-in on his street glide for what it was worth definitely not going back there

Fantastic experience: "I live two hours away and decided to call ahead to ensure the bike I saw on the dealership website was available. I was assured it was. Upon arrival, I realized something was off. The bike had been changed with different exhaust and many other accessories that werent shown in the dealership website. After a lengthy discussion, it was discovered that the bike was, in fact, the bike on in the pictures. Their automated system defaulted to the previous pictures of when the bike was originally purchased years ago. Mystery solved, the team - I’m saying team because every department was involved - STAYED AFTER CLOSING, replaced the parts on the bike to bring it back to as close as the pictures as possible. These were used stock parts from previous owners but I didn’t care. They were like new and worked for me. Everyone was dedicated and committed to my satisfaction. This includes the lady in Motorclothes that gave me a tour of the section and helped me with my questions, again, after closing. After purchase, the service department has provided personalized service that included texts on my part selection, labor estimates and completion estimates. Very well done."

Fantastic experience: Great HD dealership Broke down on a run from Chicago to Miami. RC service manager comes outside & does a diagnostic on the bike. Can't work on it but shares important knowledge We rip it down and back on the road in 4 hours. Parts department and service come out to check progress and offer advice regularly. Amazing good people!

Fantastic experience: When I first obtained my motorcycle endorsement I went to Cannon Ball Harley Davidson for the riding academy they treated me like family. Bought merchandise, they several hours away from my hometown. However I did go back for a winterization class and also purchased more merchandise, second time around treated me really well and I highly recommend them. I definitely plan on going back and stopping every time I go through Terre Haute.
