Negative experience: People who work there are good people. The issue is everything I've gotten with a warranty with Harley Davidson no matter what they have voided. I've never been able to use my warranty. That will be the last time I get anything with a warranty directly from Harley Davidson.
Fantastic experience: Stopped in on our way to Door County. Abbi in motorclothes was awesome! She gave us a great recommendation on where to take the family for lunch and entertainment. I met Jimbo in service also. He was very pleasant and even got a 2 cent tour of the service dept. Keep up the great work!
Negative experience: Don't take it here for service unless you don't mind waiting a month. Zero communication and I assume they don't have the manpower to work on a service ticket but they won't tell you that. I'll try my luck elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Today's experience is the epitome of why we pay what we pay for our Harleys. My 2014 Heritage Softail was struggling to stay alive while downshifting and idling for a day until suddenly it died on me multiple times. Luckily, I was in town and gave them a call, and they told me they would take it in, if not to work right away, to keep it safe until they could after the visual inspection. After I got there (it died while pulling into the driveway, lol), a quick code check said the engine temp sensor was gone. Before we had barely finished the paperwork, the great mechanics were switching it out and taking her out for a quick test. What could've been an annoying headache took barely an hour of my time with friendly, personal service. A quick wash, and I was back out on the road. Thank you, Appleton Harley!!

Negative experience: Brought in my 2001 ultra classic with 24000 mi. Only thing wrong with it is the stator needs replaced ,I think the salesmans name was Jake not sure but asked for a price offer and he said $2000, kind of a slap in the face Kelly blue books for $6300 he had the same bike on the showroom 2003 for around $10.000 wasn't very impressed!!!

Fantastic experience: Took my bike in for its 20k and after talking to the team about the items they found and fixed I know they did a thorough job. I have complete confidence that my bike was well maintained and that it’s safe for my next road trip in a couple of weeks! To top it off they cleaned my bike before giving her back which no other shop has ever done. Great team and great customer service, highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Took the Basic Riders course with them, great instructors (Ryan and Josh), kept it laid back, they talked thru things and on the fundamentals. We held a steady pace and consistently worked with everyone at their skill level. Troy walked was thorough in helping to make sure everything was clear before I started the course. Had an issue with my headlight for my Honda, their service staff was very helpful in what to look at/for. They were able to recommend replacement parts and what brands are better quality with reasons why.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. My shift linkage broke and I was able to get to their shop. The service manager replaced the linkage and I was on my way home (Waukesha). They had me back on the road in less than an hour.
Fantastic experience: Privliaged to have been able to participate in the 25th Annual Ride to the Veterans Home at King in Waupaca Wisconsin. I'm a VET and very much appreciate it.
Negative experience: Purchased a motorcycle from out of state. Communication was terrible during and after the purchase. I have already made my first payment, the second is almost due and I still have no tag/paperwork to obtain a tag. They sure got their fee for said registration though. I would never purchase another bike from here. The savings are not worth the inconvience and lack of caring the staff has shown
Positive experience: Sales lady is the only reason the four stars. She talked to me like I was nobody. She made a lot of assumptions on my behalf that cost her $30,000. Acted like I walked in with nothing. Little did she know I had cash in my pocket and every intention of buying a bike that day.

Negative experience: If you want honest dealings, go somewhere else. About a year ago I bought a new bike from them that was apparently a California vin bike. Anyone who knows realizes that that very much limits your options to modify within the terms of your warranty with se parts. So now I have to pray there is a way to update the ecu to get rid of this (which I'll have to pay for) otherwise my options are leave it stock or void my warranty. Conrad the sales manager pretty much told me too bad and I have to deal with it because they were dishonest and didn't disclose because "they don't legally have to". So, don't expect any honesty out of them that isn't a legal obligation. Until now I had thought it was a decent dealer experience. NOPE.

If you want a bike, need your bike worked on, need some gear or whatever, go to Appleton HD.
Negative experience: I’m giving this rating based on the sales department at HD Appleton. The folks in the motor clothes and service departments have been exceptional. Unfortunately the Sales team brings the whole place down. I was there recently looking to purchase a ’23 CVO Street Glide… They had one coming in and it wasn’t spoken for yet so I went through the process. They evaluated my ’19 CVO SG for trade-in value and put the numbers together for the new bike. They totally low-balled me on the trade-in and HIGH-BALLED me on the new bike. It was sad and should be embarrassing for whomever owns this dealership. I found the same bike I was looking for in stock at Harbor Town Harley in Manitowoc. They gave me 6K more for my trade in and their price for the new bike was 6K less… So yeah - I saved 12K by going elsewhere… I’m sure the quotes that HD Appleton gave me were a starting point, but there is no way in heck that they would ever close a 12K gap… Oh - and BTW - HD Appleton had a 2023 Anniversary Edition CVO Road Glide on their sales floor listing for 59+K. Same exact bike was at Harbor Town Harley for 44K… So if you want to grossly overpay for a motorcycle, then HD Appleton is definitely the way to go. Otherwise, I wouldn’t waste a minute of your time there and start shopping at the many other dealerships in this area...

We are transparent and advertise ours with all fees included, such as freight and setup, as required by state law. Some dealerships choose not to disclose those expenses to keep their advertised prices more attractive. As far as the trade-in value offered by Harbortown: if your number is correct, they are offering you a great deal. They offered you in trade what we expected to sell your bike for. We understand choosing their offer and appreciate you giving us a chance. Fantastic experience: I love doing the veterans ride every year and I know it's for a good cause that's why I do it because my Dad is a Vietnam veteran and I'm also a veteran but my Dad is more important than I am but I will always do this ride because of who it benefits I will respect all veterans no matter what thanks for a great day ❤️
Fantastic experience: I needed new tires. I never thought Harley would do this by appt while i wait. Oh yes! The service was glorious! Nolan and Ryan were wonderful. 1.5 hours start to finish while i sat outside and smoked a cigar. Cheers dudes.

Fantastic experience: Appleton Harley Davidson came to the rescue when I had a mid-afternoon flat tire in New Johnsville, TN. After Kristi (service) tried to help me find a service place closer to my predicament, Niles (transportation) drove 90 minutes to pick me up, get the bike in the van and drive back to the dealership. Niles and I had a great talk about his military service, family and the three GTOs that he has owned (I'm soooo jealous!). By the time we got to the dealership, it was a couple of minutes from closing time. Regardless, the bike went into the shop and Corey stayed late to fix it. Kristi was very gracious while I was there, answering all questions with a smile and keeping me up to date on progress. Corey changed the tire and took the bike out for a quick test ride. Everyone shook my hand when I left. That is the difference between a personable dealership that is owned by a family and an indifferent one that is part of a corporate, multi-dealer company. The personal touch and true concern for the customer was very evident. I was very fortunate to have called Appleton because many dealers are closed on Mondays and they are open. This is the kind of establishment where I could choose to be a customer if I lived within range. Thank you, everyone, for the great, friendly service.
Positive experience: Shopping for shirts was good, very friendly and helpful staff. Waited a pretty long time in line just to pick up an oil & filter box from the parts department.
Negative experience: UPDATE: I was going to remove this post until I went to pick up my bike yesterday. They roll my bike out and before I take off I give it a look over, these “mechanics” put my carburetor cover on upside down. So who’s working on our bikes ? Mechanics or apprentices and students. When I pay top dollar for service I expect top dollar service. This has been an awful experience and I will do my absolute best to never return to The Harley Davidson of Appleton for ANYTHING. Small shops will get my business Brought my bike here for a couple things, was told it would be ready Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around, no phone call, Wednesday rolls around. No phone call. So I call and im passed around on hold and actually even hung up on one time. Then im told that oh yah some other stuff came up and we won’t be able to get you on the schedule until late Thursday night. Then they tell me they didn’t get the complete parts they ordered and had to use old parts from my bike. UNREAL are these people even actually mechanics ? Terrible customer service. Save your money and your time. Find a local guy who can do the work for you, or go to Docs in greenbay. These people are terrible.
Positive experience: Manager Terry was extremely helpful in helping out with my problem on my bike he was a very chill and understanding person to work with great costumer service department.
Fantastic experience: After riding 830 miles from Tulsa, Oklahoma I had trouble with my front tire, Service worked with me into their schedule to change the tire, which exceeded my expectations. My experience was more than pleasant, and I still am very greatful for them helping me out while on the road.

Negative experience: They worst thing experience I have every had . My first bike purchase and these guys literally lied to me just to get some money out of me. Told me what every money I put down I would get back in a gift card. Just completely lied. Then when I brought a bike from another dealer refused to give it back. Try Milwaukee Harley . They don’t try to jerk u around like these bunch of con artist do. Stay away trust me .

Fantastic experience: After years of riding metric bikes I found the folks at the Appleton HD. Woody is extremely knowledgeable and quickly found the perfect Street Glide for me and man is it slick. Sam was really awesome as the service desk with helping me on the service end and recommended some things that I wanted. Trina really was 100% awesome with getting me hooked up with some gear I was looking at in their showroom. Thanks Appleton HD for making this all great for me!
Fantastic experience: I would love to give Sam from parts a HUGE shout out. Everytime I come in, he always has answers for me and always helps me out. When I was looking for pipes at the start of winter, he suggested Bassani pipes so I took a chance and bought them. I LOVE them. He couldn't have helped me choose a better pipe. Same goes with the security system for my bike. He helped me get the correct kit I needed. Couldn't ask for a better parts guy. He's the man.

Fantastic experience: Where to start! I was very pleased with my sales experience. I have shopped here for a few years but this was the first bike I bought from them. It was such a fun experience, I really enjoyed it. Woody( my sales rep) listened to what i wanted and helped me get exactly what I wanted! And also have to throw shout outs to Gabe in Sales, He did a great job helping me through the whole process. Louie in Parts, He helped me get some extras that i had to have. Hipster in Motorclothes, He was able to get me the 120th anniversary clothes I wanted. Big Nasty in Service, did a great job showing me what I can do in the future. Really though, the team at Appleton HD is amazing.

Positive experience: Pros: GREAT selection of bikes. AWESOME selection of clothing. NICE selection of parts and accessories. Staff is laid back. You’re not badgered into buying something when you come in. Staff/techs seem knowledgeable. Has a great learn-to-ride program. Cons: I’ve caught this dealership doing the ol’ switcheroo on price tags. Looking at shirts during the Black Friday sales, shirts marked 20% off had doubled up price tags on them, after peeling back the first one I saw they marked up the shirt by $15. THAT is not acceptable, and if I see that done ever again I WILL take pictures and plaster them all over gods creation because that’s shady as hell. Prices in general are a little steep, compare to other HD dealers I’ve been to. Overall: I generally enjoy coming to Appleton HD. Compared to Open Road HD in Fondulac, you typically don’t have someone up your butt trying to sell you something, and if you walk out empty handed, you’re thanked for your time and welcomed back. Keep up that floor strategy, because that’s what keeps customers. Also, work on your prices and knock it off with the markups. You guys will become the best dealer in the area and certainly my “home dealer”.

Quick note about the pricing... we price all of our items at the Harley-Davidson MSRP. Unfortunately they have raised the cost of items and therefore the MSRP twice this year. We never practice marketing up items to put them on sale. In fact, if you compare the marked price to the Harley-Davidson website, you will find we are following their pricing guidelines. Fantastic experience: I would like to give Jake in the parts department a big thank you for all the help and technical expertise you have provided me in the last several years! During that time, I restored a 2008 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Trike. Jake is always there to explain what I need, provided quality parts and especially how things worked when I had questions. Jake, along with everyone else I have had the pleasure to deal with at Appleton Harley Davidson in Appleton Wisconsin, are true professionals, extremely friendly, take the extra time with customers (even those customers I would consider very rude) and make people feel like family. I would and do highly recommend this dealership to everyone!
Negative experience: Called customer service and asked a few simple questions on oil and the guy who answered the phone at 2:15pm today was extremely rude and not customer service friendly. I will go elsewhere for my products.

Negative experience: 2 & 1/2 hours and $242.66 to plug a slow leak in a rear tire on my trike. I could have gone to a local tire dealer bought a new tire, and had it mounted for less.
Negative experience: Set up just an oil change. Very rude service center. Called them out on the rudeness and went to pick up my bike. Had to jump start, never had to before. Replaced battery twice since they touched it and still has a drain. Never again!!!!

Fantastic experience: The first day I stopped in Ryan met me on the floor was very helpful and very experienced he got me a hooked on an ultra limited 2014. Very helpful when it came to a test ride however due to weather I had to step that up a couple days and and unfortunately Ryan was off that day however that is when C note took over. C note was also very helpful and a pleasure to work with. The sale was made and the bike is now in my garage. Fantastic experience: I purchased a 2022 Ultra Limited last week from Appleton Harley Davidson. Ryan did a great job with the sale. Fantastic experience: I just bucked up an 06 dyna and the team couldn’t have been better. Cain was an awesome salesman. He was super helpful getting all set up with the purchasing process and singing up for the riding course. They have so many great mechanics( Patrick has done great work on my other bike) and the parts crew is amazing. Alex is amazing and really helps you customize ur bike for what you want. I can’t be more thankful for such a great team and I’ll only ever get my bikes and parts from this amazing crew.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Jennie Pearson, and her persistent with the manufacture during the covid out break. I finally received my CVO, which I waited 9 months. She stayed in touch with me the whole time. I was ready to give up, but she promised me to just hold on a little bit longer that the bic was coming, and you will be very happy. I'm happy then, Hell" that I waited. Thanks to all the rest of the employee's that helped out on the way. Also, a big thanks to Jake ( parts manager ) helping out on the extra accessories for the bic.

Fantastic experience: Very nice selection of clothing, but my wife was wondering why you don't sell Harley Davidson pants for women, but otherwise a great place to buy clothes and of course motor cycles

Fantastic experience: I found the purchase experience at Appleton HD to be easy and enjoyable. The staff, all that I had contact with in Accessories, Parts, Service, Finance, and sales force all treated both my wife and myself as family and with respect. I found our sales representative, C-Note, to be especially helpful.

Positive experience: Definitely one of the better Harley dealerships in Wisconsin. Everyone is always super friendly from parts department, service department and the sales staff. They've got some pretty good deals on their clearance racks as well. Like this place way better than the one south of Oshkosh in Fond du Lac that I don't want to use by name LOL

Fantastic experience: I took the safety course with two fantastic coaches. I am positive that after taking this course, I will be better prepared to be a better, safer rider. My coaches Ken and Dan made me want to be the best that I can be! C-note and Troy represent the sales force great. I was able to tour the entire facility and found that it was ridiculously clean and well organized. I have enjoyed riding so much more since the course and look forward to riding with some of the guys in the future. Please buy, service and ride with this fine group of people!! Negative experience: Was in a pinch and my normal shop was 3 weeks out. Harley could get me in the next day which was the only positive and why this isn’t a 1 star review. Had check engine light/battery coming on, they diagnosed the problem and called me to come back in. The service desk explained The voltage was going out of parameters causing the warning lights, “alright so what’s the fix?” Was told there isn’t anything they can do and “that years electrical systems just can’t be trusted”… brought it to my normal shop after writing the diagnostic fee as a loss and the voltage regulator was the issue. THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: I have now bought 2 motorcycles from AHD, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great customer service and sales. Russ, Cain, and Heather treated us very well and would be reason alone to return. Very knowledgeable staff, along with a superb service team make this a great place to buy or have your bike serviced.

Negative experience: My wife and I were going to purchase a bike from Appleton-Harley for $17,380 out the door cost until my wife and I were spoken to Very rudely by the assistant manager Gabe! All because I said if they could get the price down to $17,000 that we would take it today. Anybody in Customer Service would have nicely said, Im sorry that is the best price that we can do if they couldn't come down any more but instead...We were literally told by Gabe that he would rather lose us as a customer than work with us! This is the first time in my life that I have ever heard anybody tell somebody that they would rather lose them as a customer! My wife and I had already talked and said we would pay the extra $380 if they wouldn't go to $17,000 before he came in and then that's what we were told. I have never been treated so badly in ANY business so we just got up and left! He definitely needs to take some communication classes because he does not know how to talk to customers! We have been to plenty of Harleys and will continue to go to them but never again will I step foot in the Appleton Harley as long as Gabe still works there!!
Fantastic experience: From Patrick in the service dept. To salesmen Cain.. everyone was amazing! So helpful and patient. Gabe and Russ were great with all the paperwork. Highly recommend this team. Need a bike.. ask for Cain!!!

Fantastic experience: Appleton Harley-Davidson has done some remodeling since my last visit. There was only a couple customers at the store today I was kind of surprised. Not sure what their activities have been over the last year today was a shock with empty parking lot I'm used to a lot of cars and motorcycles in the parking lot when I get to any Harley dealership. As always a lot of help in the service department

Fantastic experience: GREAT EXPERIENCE! THE GREAT TROY JANSEN GOT ME BACK THERE AND CAIN, RUSS AND BOB J TOOK CARE OF ME. I CAN BE A PAIN SOMETIMES AND APPRECIATE THE PATIENCE THEY SHOWED. Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience with Sales Associate, Jennie! She was kind and understood when the first bike I test rode was not a good fit for me. She had no problems with me trying out a Heritage Softail afterwards, which I fell in love with. Gabe gave me top dollar for my trade in. Heather was fantastic at explaining all the paperwork and my options. I could not have been more pleased with my day yesterday! After having a disappointing time at the GB H-D dealer, I was glad to have taken the ride down to Appleton. I highly recommend them and encourage all the people in the Green Bay area to come down to Appleton, where a serious buyer is treated with respect and allowed to find the right bike for them.
