Southern Devil Harley-Davidson

Negative experience: I bought a shirt here on vacation and loved it. It was a nice looking shirt but also the fabric was decent, you cant see through it and its shaped for a man. About 2 months later I got hit n run on my bagger and almost died wearing that shirt, they cut it off me at the hospital. Called this place to replace the shirt and they didnt have any. Ok i understand. They sell me something else over the phone, but not what i wanted. I should have said no and hung up. Instead i get this shirt in the mail thats more like a womans shirt than it is a mans. The fabric is very light you can see through it easily, like womens clothes. The hems are all smaller than a mans shirt would be, they actually resemble the smaller hems like you see in womens clothing. And i paid $37 for this garbage womens tshirt. Yall can go you know where after this nonsense. I was already resisting spending money with you but now Harley will never get a literal penny of my money ever again and i got a couple big settlements coming. When I'm ready to ride again I'm getting a goldwing. Honda aint trying to corrupt innocent children and they aren't ripping me off and selling womens clothes to men. Shameful

Negative experience: My wife and I purchased a 2020 lowrider 09/09/24. Not a single phone call to your tag and title office has been returned. When we visit in store a “signature issue” with the previous owner was holding us up. Our temp tags expired, temp tag extension has expired. It’s been 90 days since purchase. Bike is collecting dust now. I’ve communicated with y’all and given opportunity for you to reach out and at least keep us informed but that has yet to happen. Where is my title?

Negative experience: I made an offer via text on a new Harley that was clearly specified as "$XX,XXX.00 amount plus tax, tag and title, no other fees." Sales rep called me to advise offer was accepted, and I called and made a deposit by credit card. When I attempted to complete the purchase at the dealership, they tried to add over $2,000 in additional "fees" to the agreed sale price. They refused to honor the offer that they had accepted (and took a deposit on). reached out to the dealership GM a few days later and told her the issue and offered screen shots of the conversation that document what was said. She said she'd look into it, talk to the sales manager, and then get back to me. I have not heard back from anyone. So the sales manager at this dealership will blatantly lie to you about the agreed sale price of a motorcycle no matter how clearly you ask for hard #'s. In addition, the lack of follow up from the GM shows the management apparently condones such dishonest tactics as well. Buyer beware - find another dealer that will treat you better!

Along with an amazing variety of New bikes and old, the bike you're looking for is probably there. If not, they will find it! The atmosphere was a surprise. Its like hanging out with relatives that share your passion for beautiful bikes and the unique thunder, only a Harley makes. These new friends will help you find the best bike and work to get a great deal together so you can drive it home. I have been trying to decide between the new Fat Boy and the Breakout with the 117ci. Both look very close to the old school choppers but absolutely new technologies, new ride, new everything but still has that unique look only found in the Harley-Davidson motorcycles. No, I don't work for Harley-Davidson or this Dealership, I was just that impressed. When I make my purchase, this is where I will be. I hope my experience encourages you to check these folks out. You'll be glad you did.

Positive experience: Nice people, clean store. We were on our way home from Biketoberfest in Daytona and decided to stop here for a t-shirt with the dealer name on it. Not a very good selection of women's motorclothes but I was able to find what I wanted. Thank you guys and hopefully we will be back!!!!

Casey the finance manager was a great help in making the whole deal so pleasant. The parts, service, and clothing departments have been equally great across the board every time as well.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend shopping or at least visiting Southern Devil Harley-Davidson. This has been my dealership of choice for almost two years. I’ve visited other dealerships and none have matched atmosphere of southern devil. All the workers are knowledgeable and very friendly. They build relationships and actually remember there customers. I’d also like to give a shout out to Kevin one of there salesman who helped me purchase my new Nightster, his knowledge and personality are unmatched. On top of his knowledge of the bikes he helped make the long process of getting all the paperwork and finances in order go by with a breeze. Would definitely recommend talking with Kevin if you have any questions about the bikes, he’s a great resource.

Negative experience: If you are a total beginner looking to learn how to ride and obtain your license with the MSF course, I recommend avoiding the Harley Riding Academy at this dealership. The $325 fee is not worth it, as you will encounter a visibly uninterested instructor who completely fails to effectively teach the principles of motorcycle riding. From start to finish you will have the feeling of being rushed through the course and the instructor will constantly loose his patience with the participants. Additionally, about 30% of the course time is dedicated to promoting Harley merchandise and bikes, which does not exactly contribute to your riding skills. Female participants will particularly "enjoy" the instructor's explicit and inappropriate jokes throughout the class. My (and other participants) experience was so unpleasant that I am now reconsidering my decision to purchase a Harley. BTW, based on a previous review here on Google it seems that other participants have experienced the same.

Fantastic experience: Great place, very cool people , great atmosphere, very helpful

Negative experience: Called to see if 2023 standard saddlebags would fit the 2024 model road glides, as well if I would be able to mount one of the 2023 year model saddlebags to my 2024 to see how it looked. I was told by what sounded like a young lady that, that would be no problem and to come on in. So I rode in. Spoke to Batman who was finishing up with another customer, no worries as I waited for him to finish. After batman finished with the customer he said he couldn’t swap a saddlebag due to he didn’t want to damage either saddlebag and that he didn’t have time since he was the only sales person on the floor. Meanwhile he’s telling me this as he’s hoping on his bike and lets another coworker knows he’s “going across the street to get cigarettes.” Would’ve been less annoying if he just said it’s not worth my time than to make up an excuse.

Fantastic experience: These are great people to work with and seem genuinely interested in making sure I got the right bike at a fair price. I highly recommend taking the Rider’s Academy training before starting to ride or if you haven’t ridden in a while.

Fantastic experience: Personally, I've always had a great experience with the service department and I've been going to this location for maintenance for several years. Brian, Barry, and Carl are always a pleasure to do business with and, based on my experiences with service, I ended up buying a bike here. The folks in parts have always been great, too. Definitely more of a family feel to this dealership and they seem to employ a lot of former service members.

Negative experience: Very unsatisfied. I bot bearings for my bike front and back, I put the front on what about 3 MI everything was good I got it up to 70 mph and the front bearings blew out. I've been riding and working on motorcycles my whole life since I was probably 7. I know what I'm doing. They sold me the wrong bearings. Almost killed me. I'm not a fan.

Fantastic experience: My salesman of 2 different Harley's, JD, one of the friendliest most helpful and knowledgeable salesman I have ever dealt with. My first bike from him was a 2020 soft tail standard, I only had that bike about 6 months before wanting to trade up to a newer bike, which was a 2023 lower rider s, I love the bike. This shop has always welcomed me in every time I walk in the door. Everybody there is always so nice and fun to deal with. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to buy a new or used bike. Ask for JD, you will be glad you did.

I brought my bike here a couple years ago after another non-HD bike shop worked on it 3 times and after pulling out of their shop, never made it home. They told me to take it to Harley lol. Fantastic experience: Couple of buddies and I were traveling through the area back to Florida. I woke up at 6am at a local hotel on a Saturday morning with a flat tube tire. Just a pain anyway you look at it. No temporary fix for that. I got towed to the nearest dealer which happened to be Southern Devil HD. They made getting a new tire still under warranty seamless. They worked hard for me even though I am not a regular hometown customer. I met the coolest and nicest people, and had good conversation while my tire was being replaced. I got there at 9am and back on the road by noon. The service department understood my need and worked hard for me, BRAVO. Local people there, you have a great reason to support this dealer. They are a class act!!

Fantastic experience: I was on a motorcycle trip with friends and our route took us by Southern Devil Harley Shop. I needed to replace a screw the came out of my wife’s helmet visor. As I walked in the door, I was met by Cesar Galasso. This guy was great. Very nice. I told him my issue. He took me to, Desiree Griffis, back in merchandise sales. But before we got back there, a bike caught my eye. Cesar told me about it, but without losing his focus on my first request, I met Desiree. She took the helmet. Cesar and I talked about the bike. A short time late my wife told me Desiree had it fixed. I had explained to Cesar that I was not in the market to buy a bike, but I loved his approach. So, if your close, or if you are in the market to trade or buy a Harley, go to Southern Devil Harley Davidson in Cartersville, Ga. and ask for Caser or go pick up a hat or tee shirt from Desiree. 5 star place, clean place, great selection of bikes and very nice people.

Negative experience: This is the worst place I have ever bought anything I bought many new vehicles I bought multiple bikes " not there", I was on my way to Florida and stop there and found a bike that I was interested in while a buddy of mine was having a service done, I traded my bike in and when I arrived in Florida the bike started overheating and I called which was on a Saturday and the service person asked me "what do you want me to do about it". Of course I was expecting a little better answer than that, long story short I made it home after filling the antifreeze up on the 2014 ultra limited CVO( supposedly it was all "recondition " because I paid 750 for that extra before i left) but they didn't notice it didn't have anti freeze. When I finally got back home to Missouri I took it to my local harley dealership, the water pump was out , got it fixed there . Oh SD gave me 100$ back to get it checked . Then they overcharged me 551$ on missouri sales tax , that was March 3 , after calling constantly and trying to get my money back and talked to several people there I was lied to alot , I finally threatened them with calling the better business Bureau and got my money the next day which was may 31 , I'll never do business there again worse service ever.

Fantastic experience: Just got my first trike.thank you JD.i am having some problems with my trike.only had it a few days.the trike was in the shop when I agreed to buy it so I didn't ride it until I picked it up.i was told it would have new tires on the back .new breaks and new Reverse Gear .also a full tank of gas.well when I picked it up.i didn't have any new tires or a full tank of gas.now I have put maybe 200 miles on it and I am having break problems and a noise from the pipes. I can't get in touch with JD.the sales person that sold me the bike.the manager told me they couldn't put new tires on it because it wasn't Harley wheels. After I already brought it. Thankfully I bought the warranty so maybe it all will be covered. So now I got to put it back in the shop for no telling how long after only having it 2 weeks..for things that should have been fixed already

The guy in the shop explained how to properly break in the bike and the reasons why, that was huge. I’ve bought bikes in the past and not knocking any of the other dealers, but these guys went above and beyond during my purchase. My salesman, Jon, made sure everything was just right and consistently asked if I needed something or have any questions.

Meredith was great from start to finish and spent time with me on the jumpstart, which was very helpful. She had just the right level of communication to make it a great experience. Sierra and Desiree were great help in getting my kit together and Jeff Wyrick made it happen outside. I recommend this team to all. I'm looking forward to coming in the next month and working with Kevin and Mark on buying my first bike. They've been a big help to me as I've started the selection process.

Fantastic experience: While passing through GA. We stopped at Southern Devil as I'm always up for retail therapy at any HD dealership. As I entered motorcloths I was greeted by Desiree who had the most beautiful smile and a personality that could and would make anyone's day better just from talking to her. She was quick to recognize my style! Which is rare these days. Most see you as a dollar sign and could care less what you like and only push what's new (or what their told to push). Desiree made me feel like family and I know she will for you as well..If your passing through GA you've gotta stop in an meet her!!!

Fantastic experience: Just purchased a 2023 Road Glide CVO Limited 120th Anniversary. The entire purchase process was very smooth and easy. I received a fair trade in value for my old bike and a good deal on my new bike. I am a customer for life and would never buy a Harley anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Took a Rider Training Course. Came with average riding skills. Left with more knowledge but more importantly the tools needed to become a safe and experienced rider! Tom and Bryan absolutely make the course enjoyable and fun! But still have the experience and skills to make it life saving and educational! I would STRONGLY recommend these courses for any/all riders! Thanks guys!
