Fantastic experience: Coastline was amazing as they helped me learn to drive as an adult. Dillon was incredibly helpful, patient, kind and knowledgeable. He helped me get over my fears on the road and taught me so much in 6 hours.

Negative experience: No good

Fantastic experience: This is the best driving school in ATX from my experience. They offer pickup and dropoff for students, unlike most places. Easy to schedule, fair prices, package discounts, and good instructors. The only downside is that they don't administer the DPS road test, so you have to go to another place to get your license.

Fantastic experience: My 15 year old daughter has had 3 private lessons with Christy. Christy is professional and friendly and my daughter is doing great with her. We like that she is getting picked up at home, that the Coastline car has a brake for the teacher, that scheduling has been easy online. (although I had to call first to ask how to sign up for a teen private lessons) This feels like a really good value lesson to add to an online parent taught driver's ed.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Jeff T.’s calm and clear guidance during our lessons, as well as the helpful tips that he shared. It eased my nervousness and I feel like I made a lot of progress with my driving skills. We also covered a lot of content in each session. I’ve taken driving lessons with other schools in Austin, but Coastline has the best instruction and I would highly recommend Coastline for first time drivers.

I took some classes with Austin Driving school and ATX driving school before taking classes here and I can confidently say that Coastline is better than any of them. Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars, I would. I had 0 behind the wheel experience, but my instructor, Dr. Jimmy T., was incredibly patient, reassuring and confidence inspiring to the point that I never felt like I couldn't handle what I was doing. I took the 10-hour package because I wanted to get as much driving experience under good supervision, and I do not regret it at all. The lessons were very well scaffolded, always pushing me a little bit more without overwhelming me. Before I realized it, I was comfortably, confidently driving around the city. Booking, scheduling and pick-up all happen incredibly smoothly. I really, really recommend Coastline, especially for first-time drivers.

I was a first-time driver with zero knowledge of driving, but after my lessons here, I am now a qualified, confident, and safe driver! Fantastic experience: Michael B is amazing at teaching driving. Very technical in detail and information. I wanted to grow in my everyday skills in driving and also learn to navigate the roads safely in Texas being from Pittsburgh. And I can say that I’ve become a more confident and safer driver since starting my lessons. Michael is super caring and considerate with explaining turns, hand-over-hand, seat position, mirrors, and lane switching. I was given extra resources and tools that I can get from Amazon/links that will help with my blind spots and seat position. Super appreciative of the technicality and information provided. Definitely recommend anyone to take lessons with Michael.

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t driven in 6 years and had to redo my driving license. Wanted to take a couple hours of refresher driving before heading for the road test. Had Patrick F, and Richard B as my instructors! Amazing experience. Just being able to easily book slots online was a plus but the instructors were phenomenal! Easy going, relaxing and just overall good interesting people! Passed my driving test without any issues! Could not recommend this place more!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has had two driving lessons with Richard and she says he’s a great teacher - very patient and knowledgeable. Scheduling with Coastline has been really easy, they have a bunch of different places to meet the teacher depending on where you live in Austin, which is great. They also send text reminders before your lesson with the address, time etc. which I really appreciate. So far it’s been a great experience and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Michael is a really great instructor and couldn't recommend taking his classes more. He has the right temparament to teach driving to a student at any level in his learning journey. He's a great person on an individual level as well. He'll help you understand every small bit of detail that will help you drive safely and will give you enough points that you can't go wrong on anything. He's calm, patient and overall a person from whom you'd take lessons and learn more things than if you'd circled that parking lot all by yourself. Coastline was also very proactive on reminders for my lessons and keeping me up to date with any information if needed. Great experience overall. Well I also passed my driving test and that explains it all.

Fantastic experience: About halfway through the lessons and it’s going great! Michael is a wonderful instructor and my daughter feels comfortable driving with him. She’s learned so much and parallel parks like a champ!

Negative experience: I asked this guy not to smoke 5 feet from the entrance. He was aggressive, cussed at me in front of my daughter and showed the middle finger several times. I watched him smoke a second cigarette in the same spot. His company vehicle was parked up on the sidewalk also very close to the entrance and blocked the sidewalk. I will always say something to someone so rude to smoke 5ft from the door as new borns and children have to walk by a breath his second hand smoke. I watched this individual for 15-20 minutes as he leered at the woman and loitered. When you see a bad apple, you have to say something. I ask for him to be fired ASAP. Fantastic experience: My daughter loved driving with Coastline Academy. Her instructor was Michael B. Austin Driving School was booked 3 months out and we got in right away with Coastline. I believe they were new to Austin (summer of 2022). We did parent taught driving through Aceable and purchased 2-hour private lessons with Coastline (I believe she did 5 lessons). These initial lessons got her to the point where I could drive with her without a high level of anxiety. She still needed practice of course, but I didn't have to teach her how to use the gas, brake, etc. They pick the driver up (hugely convenient). It's a true drivers ed car w/ brake on passenger side, and they have a camera in the car for safety. Scheduling was easier. Customer service was excellent every time I called. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was terrified to start driving, it seemed like something daunting and impossible at 22 years old, but I just have to thank this program for existing! Micheal is an incredible teacher, and I appreciate the incredible customer service team and how easy the website is to use! I'm greatful to have found this program when I have had such difficulties getting through to others.
