Fantastic experience: I would like to thank My tutor and Budget Driving School Classroom location for helping me pass my begginer's permit test and for working with me as well . I have gone to the DMV 4 times and faild it when I took it on the computer there. I am so glade I came to budget driving school classroom location to get the help I needed . I would recommend anyone that is struggling to pass there begginer's permit test to go to budget driving school location off of Wade Hampton Blvd. Suite 203 Taylors, SC 29687.

Fantastic experience: Both my daughters attended Budget Driving School and both had an excellent experience! My girls enjoyed the classroom session as well as the time they spent with their individual driving instructors. I was very pleased with the knowledge they gained as well as the way they were treated. All the instructors were extremely professional, kind, and helpful. Both my girls were prepared and confident when the time came to take their driving test. Budget is family owned and operated and it is evident in the way they treat their clients. These are wonderful and trustworthy people which meant a lot to me. I have recommended Budget to family and friends and will continue to do so!

Calvin and his wife were so professional and nice. He made me very comfortable I am not sure how anyone was not able to pass from this excellent driving school. Fantastic experience: I Highly Recommend "Budget Driving School" ! My Son and Daughter recently Completed the classroom program, which included the drunk driving simulator googles and golf cart drive time, which I think is very important for our young adults to experience, in this safe environment. And with great hope no one who takes their course will ever drink and drive. Upon completion of the class, they both scheduled drive time within the same month as their class. We had to adjust/reschedule both their instructor driving times for different reasons and the Budget Staff was very understanding and accommodating. My Daughter just completed the Driving test with Budget Driving School, and within a few more weeks my son will complete his instructor driving time and driving test as well. It is fantastic that they able to provide this service of taking the actual driving test with them, because my kiddos are more comfortable and feel more prepared at the time of the actual test. in addition, we didn't/don't have to take the driving test through the D.M.V., The Owners and Instructors are wonderful, they are very respectful, they do an excellent Job explaining, guiding and teaching the rules of the road, instilling good driving habits early on. We as parents start to teach our children how to drive when they first get their permits but we have bad habits to say the least... PUT your trust in Budget Driving School. They are the BEST in town!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. My daughter took the driver's ed course with them last year. They made sure she knew everything needed know to pass the permit test. My daughter first took the road test 2 weeks ago and didn't pass. So you can rest assure that if your teen isn't ready to be on the road they will let you know and I appreciate that! The gentleman actually sat down and showed me the pictures of her mistakes and went over what she needed to practice. He also recommended the refresher course which goes over everything and she did it until she was got it and was comfortable. Yesterday she took the refresher course before the road test and came back with a passing score! She was so relieve and said she was glad to took the refresher before the test because he explained everything better. Though my daughter didn't pass the first time, she knew what was needed to make her a better driver. I feel more comfortable with her being on the road knowing that she wasn't passed when she wasn't ready. I truly appreciate them being completely fair and making our teens are safe drivers!!! Negative experience: Driving classes were adequate, but material was dated. When the instructional class was over, the students booked their 2 driving times. The first available driving time was 12 days after the class. Driving instructor was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. We had to cancel the 2nd driving class because my son was sick. The scheduler was not very responsive. My son left a voicemail, but his call wasn’t returned. When he finally was able to get in contact with the scheduler, the next available driving appointment is over a month away. They don’t have a cancellation list. It’s unprofessional. They offer many driving classes, but don’t seem to have the driving instructors to accomplish driving time in a timely manner.

Negative experience: A budget driving school instructor cut me off in traffic. He drove straight through a turning lane while I was in the correct lane. Would not suggest them if their instructors can't follow traffic law.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this place by a friend of mine. I took my road test today & was astonished by how amazing my instructor was. He explained everything thoroughly & welcomed any & all questions I had. After completing the test, he told me I passed & gave me extra tips on driving (he has 60 years of experience) . Overall couldn't be more satisfied !!

Fantastic experience: I am so pleased with Budget Driving School! I enrolled my grandson back in February and was unable to schedule him for his driving sessions until August. I feared it had been too long but they extended the time for me and worked with me to make sure he got what he needed!! They are always prompt to respond and very professional! I recommend them to everyone!!

Very thorough driving instruction and evaluation. Will definitely recommend to others in the future. Very reasonably priced.

Negative experience: Not a good experience with Budget Driving School overall. From the first contact to the end of road test owners and office staff not friendly and very condescending. For some reason they seem to think they are superior to others and definitely do not know anything about providing service excellence!! The only saving grace was Sean the instructor who my son enjoyed driving with. Perhaps Sean should go to another driving school so as not to tarnish his reputation. I was warned about the owner/staff attitude before I signed up but did not listen and unfortunately experienced this first hand. I wish more people would take the time to post not only when things are good but bad as well. Robyn Mersereau

Fantastic experience: Per Tricia Caldwell not Derek Mendler My daughter was extremely grateful for the time the school took with her and made her realize that driving is a huge responsibility. The teachers/instructors were all very knowledgeable and helpful. I have another child that will be attending this school in the next few years. I am glad that we were recommended to this school and we will surely recommend this school to others.

Negative experience: Response to the owner from the client: Why in the world would anyone waste their time to come up with a bogus review? As I have just witnessed, just because people use a different name online which is called a USER NAME AND SCREEN NAME, you can look through as many files as you like but that does not mean that their reviews are bogus because its not fair for the reviewer who is just giving you an honest opinion. It's silly that just because you get defensive you automatically assume that your ex clients are lying. We just want the truth and nobody has time to write an untruthful review. To each their own because my experience wasn't very good. I assumed that the money I paid for my child's driving would change dramatically: however this was not the case. The trainers are there to teach but offered no beneficial improvements or explanations to my child's driving. Lastly, when my child took the test from Budget driving school they failed. Right when my child was going to take the driving test, the instructor did not explain very well because the instructor just sat there and went along for the ride and pressed on his passenger breaks when needed BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY they did not explain as a teacher should explain things to the student. The amount of money I paid this business would not adhere to the definition of "budget" whatsoever. With little gain and causing my child grief because of the confusing instruction which they received during the driving test I would not recommend this business. Budget Driving School charges too much money for the service they provide and therefore a person most likely would have better luck looking elsewhere for driving lessons for their child.

Negative experience: This is not a "budget school", please, if you're going to take your children there to learn how to drive, this is not a good place for you to be. The people who were there are very dude, they put a hole in my pocket without exactly teaching my son anything. I thought that if I spent so much money on him I would expect him to thoroughly be taught how to drive. After 3 days of training, the only thing the trainer did was tell my son which way to turn and she used the brakes but did not explain anything of important. Therefore, I had to do all the work that Budget Driving School was supposed to do. Thanks a lot for nothing.

Fantastic experience: My son did not pass his driver's test on the first try. As his parent, I realized that it had been so many years since I took driver's ed that I did not remember the small details that are taught to new drivers. After attending Budget Driving School, my son passed the test and missed only 4 out of 300 points. I believe he is a safer driver. The instructors are patient and professional. My son felt comfortable driving with his instructor. I highly recommend Budget Driving School.

Fantastic experience: The classroom session was very beneficial in both learning about basic driving skills and the need for safety and caution as a driver. The two (3 hour) driving lessons helped me to realize my strengths and weaknesses while driving. My older brother and sister have both used Budget Driving School, and my family and I highly recommend this company!

Negative experience: Very rude and disrespectful. Do not call Jean Osteen to ask questions about driving test results because she automatically assumed I was upset and proceeded to get defensive and hung up on me. A professional establishment would not treat any paying customer the way I was treated by Jean. Not sure if she was having a bad day but that is not a valid excuse to treat anyone the way I was treated. I did not raise my voice nor disrespect her in any way. I questioned why my child was not taught certain things that are automatic failures on a driving test and her explanation was ridiculous. The fact that she administered the test might be why she got upset. After she hung up on me, I called back thinking maybe I was accidently disconnected and Sam told me that Jean had a problem with me and that I should have been at the office during the test to hear the explanation the 1st time because they don’t have time for additional explanations to a preant that couldn't be there. I do not recommend a business that has someone in authority that gets that upset over questions.

Fantastic experience: The driver's training my daughter had from Budget was fabulous. The golf cart driving with special glasses simulated the effect of driving while intoxicated. That was a very important experience. The best way to increase your chances of passing the road test is to take an extra 2 hour driving lesson with Budget the day before the test by the instructor giving the road test. He/she will go over everything that will be tested at the actual road test and give you 2 trial road test. My daughter got her drivers license with ease.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Budget Driving School for pretty much anyone is willing to learn more about driving. I am 20+ and I thought I would never have enough confidence or knowledge to drive. The classroom part and the road practice helped me a bunch. I also tried out for my license at Budget driving school and passed!!! I am now a confident, safe driver!!!! THANKS BUDGET!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Budget Driving School, I am a proud owner of a Driver's License!!!!!! At first I was apprehensive about the whole idea of doing Budget Driving School; but once I meet the instructors and saw how interactive, charismatic and enthusiastic they were, I felt just at home. They turned the complete stereotypical "8-hour boramathon" of a informative class into an enjoyable and reliable, informative presentation full of the correct and incorrect ways of driving. I can honestly say that if you're struggling with choosing a driving school, choose Budget Driving School! Not only are they affordable, but you will also have a blast learning the proper ways of driving on the road!

Fantastic experience: After making many telephone calls to various driving schools and speaking to many friends, relatives and co-workers, I chose to send my child to Budget Driving School. I am very thankful that I did. The office staff is knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. When I arrived at the class with my child she was a bit worried that it would be a long boring day. When I picked her up at the end of the classroom she was very happy about how the day went and was excited to be telling me many things that she learned in the classroom. After completing her behind the wheel sessions she began to give me constructive criticism about my driving! We even took the road test at Budget Driving School. What a awesome experience. My daughter did indeed pass her road test but I was very impressed with the review the Instructor gave us after the test to not only let us know of the great things she did on the test but also to go over the mistakes that she had made so that she could continue to become a better driver. I would recommend Budget Driving School to ANYONE who is trying to decide on a driving school for their child. GREAT JOB BUDGET!!!!!

Fantastic experience: My name is Maria and I am so glad I chose Budget Driving school to help me learn how to drive better and also to take my road test. Everyone was so nice and they legitimitely cared about my learning experience as a young driver. My instructor not only helped me get better at what I already knew but also taught me more things in relation to driving. She is an amazing person and everyone else at Budget is too. I feel much safer behind the wheel now after having taken road classes with Budget and also my driving test with them, which went great by the way. I really appreciated how they told me everything I did right as well as some improvements I could make on my driving, so I got both positive and negative feedback. I was so nervous before I took my road test with Budget because I get anxious when I take tests, but everyone calmed me down and again, were really nice which helped. They were very informative, professional, and overall wonderful instructors and I would recommend Budget to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and professional. You can definitely tell that they really care for the safety of the kids. My daughter loved having Mary Franco as her instructor. Mary was always on time, and made my daughter feel comfortable behind the wheel. I will definitely recommend Budget to anyone who has a teenager who is getting ready to get behind the wheel.

Fantastic experience: I'm really glad that i used Budget Driving School as a means to learn how to drive. The class was pretty fun and interactive, and i also learned a lot more about what it means to be a safe driver and how a bad decision can change your life. The driving lesson was fun and informative, even though at first i was nervous my instructor walked me through it as well as showed me a few tips on parallel parking and other procedures. All in all i was a great experience in every way.And i plan on taking a few more behind the wheel lessons and my road test with the school. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Our youngest son had taken the Budget course this past summer, and just took the driving test with them. They were so wonderful in keeping him calm and focused. They were very professional. I particularly liked the way they went through his score on the driving test- explaining all the things he could improve on, as well as all the things he did WELL. This had a huge impact on him and I think he took the results to heart. Nice job, Budget!!

Fantastic experience: Budget Driving School saved the day when my son took the 8 hour class at Woodruff Driving School and they couldn't find any personnel to do the driving portion of the course. Budget was very professional, found a place for my son in their schedule, and provided exactly what they promised. The person who drove with my son was very nice and I feel certain he's ready for the test at the DMV. I won't go through this nonsense when it's time for my younger son to take the class. We'll go straight to Budget.

Fantastic experience: Our daughter just completed this driving program which included class and driving time. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the services that were rendered. Our daughter shows a lot more confidence in her driving skills and seems to have a more positive and secure attitude towards driving in general. The individuals that worked with her were extremely cordial and influential with her training. I would recommend this driving school to any parent who wants their child to go that extra mile when it comes to obtaining their driver's license. My daughter continues to talk about the lessons she learned and reminds me, as I am driving, about things that I may have forgotten. She takes this all very seriously, as she should. The instructors were very knowledgeable in both the law and in "common sense" advice. They made my daughter feel like she was being listened to and that they cared. Great school!

Fantastic experience: We moved here from Texas midway between my daughter having received her Texas driving permit and then going on to get her license. We found out our TX drivers training was not acceptable in SC. My boss recommended Budget Driving School. Jean spent a tremendous amount of time on the phone with me helping me understand what would be needed for my daughter to get her license here in SC. Jean's knowledge of laws and requirements is absolutely phenomenal. My daughter started out by taking the 8 hour class at the Hilton Garden Inn in Greenville. I felt extremely comfortable dropping her off there. It was done in a nice clean location, and lunch was even available onsite. The information disseminated to my daughter was absolutely invaluable. We were able to promptly schedule her driving time. Her driving instructor Mary picked her up at her HS at the end of the day and drove her home when drive time was done. OUTSTANDING service to us working parents. My daughter felt like Mary was super helpful without being overbearing. Mary gave good pointers and seemed to genuinely enjoy teaching our daughter. We were able to schedule the drivers test in a very fast timeframe and the service again provided by Jean was outstanding. The man that gave her her driving test even took the time to sit down with us and discuss the few points she missed and review with her why she missed them and how she could improve in the future. When we took our paperwork to the DMV my daughter was advised by the person processing that the driving school "did a great job" in having her take the SC permit test to ensure she would have no issues getting her license. I canNOT say enough good things about Budget Driving School. Their level of professionalism is great. They care about their students, they care that they provide a good service and they care about their reputation with DMV. I have 2 other teens who will need to go through Drivers Training in the next 2-3 years and I will not use anyone but Budget Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Both my son and my daughter received their drivers education from Budget Driving School and I was more than impressed! They both loved the class and both are very happy with the knowledge that they gained from this school. Both times the instructors were extremely helpful and nice. This is a family owned and operated business and they are very good trustworthy people. This helped me as I was adamant about letting my children just go with anyone. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I have now sent FIVE children to this school and have been more than happy each time with the staff, driving instructors, and testing staff. Fantastic experience: My son attended Budget Driving School over Christmas vacation last year. He was able to complete the all day session and all of his instructed driving time during the holidays! This was because the instructors were so helpful in being available and getting it done in a timely manner. My son was treated with respect and dignity, and he enjoyed every part of the training. It was also very nice that he was able to take his driving test through driving school rather than having to go to the DMV and take it there. I would recommended Budget Driving School to any family in the upstate.

Fantastic experience: To Whom it May Concern: I felt compelled to provide a testimonial to the Budget Driving School on Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC. I put my son through the training course, including driver / defensive training, and finally the drivers test at this school in August-September 2012.. I would just like to say that the Osteen's have a FIRST CLASS operation here. They are professional, informative and thorough. The instructors were superb. The visiting spokes-persons (in the class) were superb. Everything from top-to-bottom was absolutely first class! The driving instructor (Bruce, in our case) was always in communication with us, on time, thorough and strict (exactly what I wanted for my son). Any questions were answered promptly. Jason, (who mans the phones, scheduling, etc.), is on top of everything and responds quickly to requests or questions. Additionally, Budget Driving School is one of few in SC that are certified to administer the SC DMV drivers test. There are many other driver training schools out there, some cheaper and some more expensive. I did a lot of research on various schools in the area before deciding to go with Budget Driving School.
