Harmony Driving School

Negative experience: Can’t find my old review. It was likely removed. The man there was snarky, flippant, and sarcastic. He talked a lot of smack about previous students, expressed disgust for the younger generations openly, and he hardly ever answered his phone. He was the only school in the area so he got away with his unprofessionalism. I think his name was Michael. We paid him for the service, not his lip. Other than that he was informative, though fast paced. I had him nearly four years ago as an older driver coming from a state where driving was more optional than in Texas.

Fantastic experience: Great experience from start to finish. Harmony is with you and your student driver every step of the way. Beginning with the class room, all the way through to providing the final road test Harmony is structured in a way that they work at the pace of the driver. Michael and Susan were both excellent to work with. Our daughter walked away with a much greater understanding of driving and rules of the road, so much so that she taught me a few things I was unaware of. Behind the wheel teaching is one on one, which I think is one of the best ways to learn how to drive. No distractions, and a very patient and knowledgeable teacher are what make Harmony Driving School so successful.

Fantastic experience: Both of my girls went to Harmony for their driving school, and they are patient and did a great job teaching them the ways of the road! Susan is great and has a calm demeaner when teaching the kids. The rates are super competitive and they started from their school, so I didn't have to take them anywhere else and they could just go after school for their class and drive times. It was super convenient! Also, they were able to give the test so that we didn't have to take it at the DPS which is a bonus! I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I wouldn't suggest this driving school. Did not teach my daughter to drive and does not give you all of the information upfront. I had to ask multiple times can you please drive with my child. Wasted 350 dollars and my child is 18 now and we have to go through the DMV and do the testing and driving through them.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Harmony Driving School enough! All three of my kids got their licenses through them, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The instructors were incredibly patient and professional, making the entire process so smooth and stress-free. Scheduling lessons was easy, and they were always great to work with, accommodating our needs and ensuring that each of my kids felt confident behind the wheel. They went above and beyond to prepare them for both the road test and real-world driving. Fantastic experience: Just finished my second child with this school exceeded my expectation Mr. Michael work with me on scheduling he made it very easy on time for my daughters driving license appointment.olso The driving instructor Miss Susan she was very nice and calmly and polite.

Negative experience: This man is a fraud period! Do not fall for these few good reviews like i did, I'm about to report to the BBB. This is ridiculous, I paid for two teens since march and only two appointments. He will not pick calls and will not return calls, always in a hurry. I need a refund. People out here trying to make a living and some trying to defraud you.

Fantastic experience: Our experience was positive. We found the classes and drive-times to be both convenient and flexible. Scheduling can sometimes get shuffled around a bit but this was expected and everything worked out in the end. The key is good communication and patience and Harmony will get you through the program. My daughter successfully obtained her license as expected.

Positive experience: I took the drivers ed portion about 2 years before I took my driving lessons, so I didn’t know what to expect as someone who didn’t know much about driving. I went to 5 4-5 hour long drivers ed classes which were all fun, engaging, and easily taught me what I needed to know to pass my permit test. When scheduling my driving lessons, I had to call, leave my information, then the next day, hope I was on my phone to not miss the call or I would have to go through the whole process again, which wouldn’t have bothered me much if they didn’t call me back between 11-1, when I’m still asleep, doing other things, or not on my phone. Fortunately, they were really accommodating to my tight schedule. I only had about a month to get all of my drive times in which we successfully accomplished. Susan was really nice and taught me everything I needed to know and how to do it, but at home, I drive with a really big car and when I drive with her, I have to drive a really small car, so she always told me to get closer to the curb, which made me uncomfortable. Its hard for me to switch between the 2 cars because of the difference, but if I wasn’t close enough to the curb, or turned too wide or tight, she would grab the wheel and steer for me. Other than that, she was really nice and good at teaching. Every detail in how to drive, I learned from her.

Fantastic experience: I took my son Brian to Harmony driving school and I love that decision. He worked with our schedule and within 40 days or so my son got his driver's license. I will surely recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated driving school. Very soon, I will be going back there for my little niece. Thanks for your service.

Negative experience: Horrible experience the owner Michael is a fraud he charged me extra money to get all my child paperwork but when it was time to deliver he had total amnesia defrauded me. Lied about my child being in the class room Fake Christian and a thief all the signs were there show up late for appointments all the time and one time didn't show at all didn't have the decency to text or call to cancel no regsrds to others schedule and full of excuses. God sees everything.

Fantastic experience: My son is almost done with driving school and he has really enjoyed the program from permit classes to in person drive times! Michael does a great job and so does Susan with driving lessons! Two thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: Michael and his team have been such a wonderful resource and teacher for our son. He has communicated regularly, patiently worked around our son’s busy schedule and ensured he was well equipped to drive independently. Will use him for younger son when the time comes!

Fantastic experience: I have used Harmony Driving school for 4 of my kids and it is by fore the easiest most professional why to go when it comes to new drivers. Everything happens quick and simple.

Fantastic experience: I have had three children over the span of 8 years become drivers and it could not have been any easier than with Harmony. Michael, the owner, was so flexible and worked with our crazy schedules to get all of the course instruction and driving instruction completed. Susan was so patient and easy to drive with as well. Having one location at the HS my kids attended also made completing the course so convenient. I highly recommend Harmony.

Fantastic experience: We used Harmony for the 7/7 in car training and drivers test. The process was easy, Michael and Susan were great to work with. In the end my daughter got her license and it was a stress free experience. I could not recommend more.

Fantastic experience: My daughter completed the driving school program through Harmony Driving School with Michael and Susan. I would recommend them if you want personal one-on-one communication from the actual people teaching your child; if you want someone who will work around your child's busy schedule, and if you want the convenience of being at LHS. He's an old-school type of guy, which at first had me hesitant, but once we started the program, It was nothing but great! My daughter completed all her hours, etc. to be ready to go to DPS by the time she turned 16, which I know Michael prides himself on making sure this happens for all his students. The best part of the driving school is my daughter learned so much and I felt comfortable as a parent putting her behind the wheel with confidence! I plan on using them for my youngest daughter as well.

Fantastic experience: We have had an incredible experience at Harmony Driving School. Both of my sons have gone through the program. They take a very personal approach and make sure your student driver gets exactly what he/she needs. In addition, they provide excellent guidance on the documents required to take to the DMV. Highly Recommend!

Fantastic experience: Michael and Susan have done a great job teaching our teens to drive. Michael has been very accommodating and rescheduled drive times to fit our teen’s busy schedule. I appreciate the convenience of classes at the high school.

Fantastic experience: We've been stressed (and stretched) as a family to get all the things done. I was concerned that my youngest didn't have the same attention & enough time on the road, so I reached out to Harmony. The pricing was reasonable, it's nearby & the program was set up in a way that fit our schedule. Yes, I would've liked a checklist but...Mike was super responsive to questions, always returned calls, and they were flexible when we had to switch dates. My daughter enjoyed the stories shared because it made driving real, and she recalled what he said while prepping for the test. Susan is very experienced with young drivers & this shows up in everything she does. She helped get my baby girl ready for the road, was direct with instruction & correction, and organized. I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't been for their help. I'm thankful and I would recommend this school without hesitation because our experience was what we needed.

Fantastic experience: Harmony is now on child number 2 and will definitely get child number 3. This is an amazing service and you cannot beat their rates or services. From permit to license it's a seamless process. Can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Both of my daughters used Harmony Driving School, and they both enjoyed driving with Susan. Michael was always friendly and professional to work with. If he didn't answer when I called...he always called back within a day or two, and we were able to get a drive time scheduled with no problem. Susan was very patient, thorough and so very kind...couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor for both my girls!

Fantastic experience: Michael and Susan are great! They helped our daughter complete the classroom and driving training. They were always very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be using them again for our next driver.

Negative experience: I would highly recommend going someplace else. Michael was late to the practice after asking us to come early and then the driving instructor never showed up for the road test. We ended up getting rescheduled to a different day with not a single apology for the inconvenience! Give your $ to someone who cares, these people obviously don't.

Negative experience: First off, they NEVER answer the phone. If you call, you won't get anyone. Secondly, the instructor conducting the test was VERY rude to my son and abrasive. We are taking our test elsewhere! I do not recommend this place to ANYONE! STAY AWAY!!!

Negative experience: Would not recommend. My daughter cried the first class. Hard to get a hold of the one guy, hard to schedule driving time. We asked for a refund when we weren't happy and he refused.

Negative experience: Very poor service, never answers the phone and was not patient with the driver at all. Overall not nice a nice person.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and patient. Knows how to teach you even though you may start of making mistakes, he stays calm throughout and talks in calmness. He never makes you feel rushed in anyway. Iam very happy for choosing harmony school of driving.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Harmony Driving School with my oldest child for both Classroom and the Driving School portion. Since it was an awesome experience and knew their process I went back to them for my youngest. Michael handles all of the administrative/booking duties and Susan was assigned for their driving instruction. They provided all the insights we needed to navigate our way through and DMV paperwork. My boys enjoyed each drive time with Susan. She really is an amazing instructor!

Negative experience: BEWARE!! BEWARE!! READ ALL THE REVIEWS!! My son went to Harmony driving school the teacher was very impatient, Then we received his DE-964 certificate made appointment at the DPS office we had all the paperwork with us that was needed then the DPS officer said the DE-964 was not complete ! We tried to contact Harmony and couldn’t reach anyone , if we could have he could have emailed a correct copy to them ! Everything would have been completed but unable too contact !! Me and my wife took off work to do this and after we went to harmony that evening the owner apologize and said people make mistakes, He was very defensive about it !! And I held back and finally said yes at my expense! He did not offer any discount witch I known he would not , We checked the paperwork before we left my son wen in again to double check a area on the paperwork and the owner said it was good ! As my son was leaving the owner shook his head at him this guy is a real peace of work !! Read the reviews and BEWARE! BEWARE!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Harmony Driving School was a great choice for my son who would never have sat through that much online learning! He learned so much and was kept engaged every class period. The private driving lessons were great- flexible schedule and really refined the skills that I couldn’t teach him like parallel parking, etc. My son was prepared for his test and passed it confidently the first time. Michael made sure that my son met all the learning requirements and that we were prepared with necessary documents going in for the permit and license. I would recommend this to anyone working on a license, 100% money well spent!

Fantastic experience: Both my children learned to drive through Harmony. We were able to schedule drive times each week with no challenges and Mike was even able to get my son an extra lesson and his test scheduled in the same week at the last minute. Susan was a fantastic instructor. We pulled my son out of another driving school because of the instructors and he excelled under Susan. Fantastic experience!

Fantastic experience: Mike was great at working with my sons crazy schedule. Even meeting early to give the drives test. Will use again for my daughter.

Negative experience: I wish I could give him ZERO stars. This experience was HORRIBLE! My son (youngest of five children, so this was my 5th time doing drivers ed through a private driving school... first time-and LAST-with Harmony Driving School), enrolled July 2020 and did the every-Saturday summer class option. That part seemed fine. The real issues began with drive times! We learned that the process is that you have to call every week and HOPE there is a drive time available (Mike is basically a one-man show). My son was very much a beginner and so he showed up with a lot of anxiety about driving and not a lot of experience. After the first drive-time, my son-who NEVER cries-got out of the Harmony car bawling! Apparently, Mike had belittled him and yelled at him because he couldn't master the hand-over-hand turning technique (insert sarcastic voice: "that's a great way to motivate a new, young, raw, anxious driver while you have then ALONE in a car"!!!!!). I called Mike later to get his side of the story and all he had to say was "well, he wasn't ready", not "so sorry", not anything that indicated he wanted to keep our business (why would he? He already had our money for the entire course + drive times + testing). I Kindly, but firmly, reminded him that he is the TEACHER!! I asked hime to make a note on my son's folder to remind him that he is a beginner and is anxious about driving and to please be kind. He responded with an aggressive "Oh. I already did." I said, "You know, while you're at it, go ahead and mark that same 'be kind' on every kids' chart." I shouldn't have to say that! Apparently, Mike expects to not actually have to TEACH the driving. He expects the kids to already KNOW how to drive! AND he also expects us, the parents, to know that! SO, fast forward AN ENTIRE YEAR-August 2021 and my son and I are still trying to schedule more drive times (after a lot of pep-talks with my son about "everyone has a bad day. Maybe Mike was just having a bad day..." because my son did NOT want to get back in that car with Mike). At this point, Mike can't/won't tell us how many drive times are required and won't schedule them out even though we have been in the program for AN ENTIRE YEAR (after he promised us he would). Meanwhile, scheduling with any DPS in Texas takes at least a 6-month advance scheduling. I had one more VERY HEATED phone call, in which Mike yelled (in a very high-pitched voice) at me for 20 minutes. On this phone call, I: 1.called him on a few promises he had made to me and had not followed through, 2. asked him to be forth-right about how many more drive times my son needed, 3. asked to schedule them out (this isn't his normal method, which is so inefficient, but I was asking him to push my son through since we started OVER A YEAR AGO at this point and he had promised me he could do that), and 4. asked him to stop screaming at me, and also, stop intimidating children!!!! Side note, when my husband confronted him about screaming at me he responded with, "well, she was treating me like a child." STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!!! Also, I would like to point out that an adult (male or female) instructor should NEVER BE ALONE in the car with an under-aged minor! EVER!

Fantastic experience: 17 year old son just started and so far he likes it and sounds like he's getting some very important information

Negative experience: I have been trying for weeks as has my son to contact the instructor to schedule his driving test, by email and phone, left several messages and now his mailbox is full and we have had no response. Extremely aggravated because we paid for these services and I don't want my child to have to redo everything because no one answers the phone.

Fantastic experience: Good guy with a good program.

Negative experience: Have been unable to contact anybody from driving school in two weeks. Have been calling for 3 days now to get certificate of completion with no calls back. Have left several voicemails. Very Disappointed in service here.

Negative experience: Anyone who gives more than 1 star, I have to question. He doesn't answer the phone, he doesn't respond to voice mail and he doesn't respond to emails. It will take 50 phone calls to schedule one drive. Go elsewhere, he is overwhelmed, overbooked, and no employees.

Positive experience: Overall the teacher is really nice and is engaging with the students. But he tends to get off track which wastes lession times.

Negative experience: This place my get the job done on driver's ed, but it fails in every other regard. I have left many nights by being cursed out by the owner and having a car that he refuses to refuel and fix. Halfway through lessons, the right side mirror has been broken off and has yet to be fixed.
