Fantastic experience: It starts with Kristen, then Grace and Saige, thank you for making registration and the administration almost flawless. Rod and Chris are outstanding trainers, real life drivers with experience, that somehow know how to get through to an overthinker. Tom, thanks for spending a day helping me with my 90s. Jack and Larry thanks for the instruction and organizing my test to fit my life. Overall a five star experience. The only opportunity the school has is equipment. That reduced the experience, but as a business owner I understand you can have 2025 rigs perfectly polished. So keep working on that, overall felt safe and had everything we needed.

Fantastic experience: TransTech in Gastonia, North Carolina, is a fantastic place to start your career in the trucking industry. I recently completed their CDL training program, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The instructors at TransTech are top-notch. Billy, Jacky, Thomas, and Larry, the examiner, were all incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I felt confident behind the wheel. The facilities at TransTech are also excellent. The classrooms are clean and well-equipped, and the trucks are modern and well-maintained. I felt like I was getting the best possible training. I highly recommend TransTech to anyone who is looking to get their CDL. They provide a comprehensive and affordable program that will prepare you for a successful career in trucking.

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable instructors and excellent staff overall. If you show up with the right attitude, study that pre-trip and just listen to what the instructors are telling you, you’ll be successful. The only downside for me was the job placement, it was very limited in scope but other than that 10/10 recommend for getting your CDL.

This is a fast paced course so be mindful that you are able to keep up and retain the information given. Other than that I would definitely recommend this location.

Positive experience: They need to take the online course and fix a few things. Two weeks is not a lot of time for people to compete and comprehend and retain the information especially for those who have a full time job and/or family's. Other than that good. Great instructors.

Fantastic experience: The school,examiner, and instructors were great. Each teaches a little differently but the same concept. The yard itself was well nice. Overall, they were all helpful and nice .

Fantastic experience: Amazing instruction and the best to learn trucking. Their material is easy enough to digest, but detailed enough to learn quickly from. Follow what the instructors tell you to do, and try your best to always take their approach to learning about the ways of trucking and being safe on the road. They will not just let you pass, but as long as you have the right mind set, they will not let you fail either. Big thank you to the instructors I was directly under; Ms Rene, Mr Allen, Mr Nathan, and Mr Thomas, as well as other instructors and staff who all gave me words of wisdom; Mr Billy, Mr Tommy, and Ms Kristen. I can’t forget my Examiner Mr Larry as well. Thank you all. Thanks to these amazing folks I now have an amazing job with my CDL working for Mammoth Fuels.

Positive experience: Steven was an awesome instructor very thorough. Allen and Thomas are also great instructors. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the trucks need maintenance.

Fantastic experience: This CDL school is by far the best one I have ever found they like family Kristen Tommy Thomas Wes my instructor for the 1st 2 weekends my last 4 weekends I had Chris AKA buddy they so chill they also are the best instructor they will answer any questions you can ask they help giving pointers on the road or at the classroom track on backing if you listen to what they tell you believe me it possible and you can do it I traveled from Charleston South Carolina to Gastonia 6 weekends in a row time there goes quick I will send anyone I now that want there CDL by far this school is number 1 I’ve talked to some other schools but they are nothing like trans tech

Fantastic experience: Great learning experience. Kristen had great communication skills through the whole process. All of the instructors were great and Tommy made me feel comfortable, while testing. The only suggestion would be to have consistent instructors. Other than that I learned a lot and would definitely recommend Trans Tech.

Fantastic experience: This Experience Was absolutely incredible. It’s scary at first but rewarding in the end. You have an Awesome Team. Here in Gastonia I adore Tommy’s DrivingTechniques. I enjoyed My day driving lessons with Anthony. Allen’s Sarcastic Humor, but wise words. Thomas ability to make complete sense of the Pre-trip seem less a pain in the you know what. Billy oh my he gets straight to the point and he’s fearless when teaching you the offset, & the 90! Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: Manual drivers should be put in a separate class to practice their backing along with regular driving skills on a regular basis. Sticking them with a class full of automatic-testing students greatly reduces their ability to learn an adequate amount before their test day. Aside from that, nice school!

Fantastic experience: Gastonia location was a great experience, I enjoyed doing the 3 weeks cdl training there and Roger was a good instructor on the yard and great at being patient. He also was very clear and collective on the directions. Very nice location and the on location lot is pavement and well laid out for training.

Fantastic experience: This was overall one of my greatest experiences ever, pushing wayyy out of my comfort zone to accomplish something I never thought I would. The School it’s self is clean, staff are super friendly but also professional, everyone is well organized. Katie at the front desk always has a smile on her face and is there to answer any questions about the program, she’s super polite, well mannered, and always made me feel welcome from the time I signed up, until the last day I talked to her with my certificate in hand. Jackie was always super funny, he made me laugh so much, and without him pushing me to study as hard as I did, I’d prob still be without a permit, “thankyou man I greatly appreciate that”. He was also super professional when he needed to be. Tim was super helpful while driving on the road, he’d make ya super comfortable while in heavy traffic on 85 his humor is beyond amazing, his instruction skill is top notch, loved hearing the stories he had to share about his career, as I said before everyone at this company is super professional but can also make ya feel welcome at the same time, was never a dull moment. Wesley….oh mr Wesley….From Day 1 til the last he was on me like white on rice, Wesley was prob my favorite out of the bunch, without him I would’ve butchered my backing test i struggled with it the most, but his patience and ability to teach is what helped me figure it out even a week after everyone else had already learned it, he still helped me out until one day we had a break through, I performed the maneuver without his help 1 time and I thought he was gonna jump over the moon as fast as he hopped out of that chair. Said it made his day, “I couldn’t have done it without ya man, thankyou so much for always believing in us, you have no idea how much that means to us” if I could do it all over again I would 1000%. Wes was the one that made the whole experience worth it, him and one of our classmates Zach always cracking jokes back and forth was the funniest thing ever. I think Casey’s nick name was lead foot . I remember him telling Mar he thought he was gonna rip the steering wheel off the dash when we were night driving one evening, it was nerve wracking for sure especially on those tiny back roads. Wesley told us we were his first class that he started with and ended with without him I don’t think any of us would’ve passed on our first try. If I could give 100 ⭐️’s I would but it only lets me give 5. Choose Transtech of Gastonia if ya want your biggest shot at becoming a professional driver.

Every one of the instructors are very knowledgeable in the driving field with lots of experience.
