A-1 Driving School

Fantastic experience: Big Thanks to Suzan!!!! My daughter finally passed her DMV test!!! She took a 2 hour class from Suzan yesterday and it really paid off. My daughter tried so many times and was already about to give up but after 2 hours with Suzan she passed the Test with a score of 100%! Suzan explained everything so well and when my daughter passed the test this morning she was so happy and cried tears of joy! Everyone at the DMV was congratulating her. Also, a big thank you to the wonderful Jeannie for organizing everything and setting up the appointment at the American Fork Location. You guys are awesome!!

Fantastic experience: I did it Suzan! I got my license! A1 in American Fork was so kind and helpful in getting my license! As a homeschooler and a very nervous driver I was dreading taking the classes worried about the test anxiety but Suzan was so kind and patient with me. The course work is easy to understand and very helpful for the permit and road test! Thank you A1 and a special thank you to Suzan!

Fantastic experience: I had Wayne Yocom and Suzan Lake for my driving instructors. They were very encouraging and patient. My brother also went through A1 driving and he love it too! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: i had a guy named maddie he was super cool and i still remember him to this day and i took drivers ed with him about a year ago he’s the best

Negative experience: Scheduling the driving was ridiculous. There system updates once per week and there was never anything available. We’re switching to another company.

Fantastic experience: After just having an awful experience the Independent Driving Schools, it's been wonderful working with A-1! Helpful, easy to get a hold of staff, accurate pricing and website, thank you!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever!! Do not waste your time and money with this place. It is extremely difficult to schedule drives with this school. You will end up taking 2-3 months to get through their program----not worth it for the money you pay. You can only schedule drives once a week---you will get on their website once the drives open and it will all be booked. Then they expect you to try and log on anytime you can throughout the week to find a drive slot. It's ridiculous!! Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: A-1 has great customer service. Jeanie in the American Fork office was FANTASTIC to work with. She understood our unique situation and was so accommodating. When customer service goes beyond just being good at your job but includes kindness as well… I’m sold!!! Thank you Jeanie and A-1!

Fantastic experience: I had Jackie as my driving instructor, and let me just say, he was the BEST. I really liked how he started with the basics, insuring i had a good foundation. he gave really great constructive criticism, and gave it in a really uplifting manner. he was able to show me things i had missed and help me to see them better. All in all, it was a great experience!

Fantastic experience: We have had 3 children complete A1 driving school and have had 3 great experiences. Jeanie (sp?) in the American Fork office was extra helpful in getting my daughter her final test so she could make it to her DMV appt on time. We would recommend A1 driving school for sure.

Negative experience: In my opinion, this place is expensive and the lack of value means that the cost is not justified. My daughter did their program and it seems to me that she learned VERY little from them in order to drive legally and safely and pass her test. There are other driving schools out there. Don't pick this one.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Tammy, she was very patient with me during the drive and she was very kind! I would recommend her as anyways driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: I drove with Tammy, Rodney, and Bruce! They were such lovely people and did a great job teaching me how to drive and get me ready for my drivers test. Jenie was so great and kind and helped my mom and I with scheduling and everything, she answered any questions we had. I had nothing but a great time and I learned a lot!

Fantastic experience: I was sitting as an observer with Jackie as my instructor! He was very kind and patient, but also thorough and detailed. Step-by-step was everything, and he stated everything simply and accurately. I felt safe and aware with his instruction. His tips and tricks were amazing and so helpful! Totally recommend! :))

Fantastic experience: Tammy and Rodney were both so helpful. They taught me how to do all the maneuvers in a simple but effective way and were very helpful when I made mistakes

Fantastic experience: I was an observer for the A1 driving school, Jackie was my instructor for both my observation and drive. Jackie was great! He was stern but it was really helpful! Jackie was really awesome about going into detail about how to accomplish different driving techniques. He gave a step by step process of how to do different driving maneuvers. He also gave excellent driving tips for the road test. I had my drivers ed class, my teacher was Tammy. She was awesome! She made the class fun and it was super interesting! I was able to learn a lot and it also helped me to be better prepared for driving. I would recommend coming to the A1 driving school! Everyone there is super friendly and helpful! Jeanie is also amazing! She helped me so much while I was trying to sign up for different things! A1 driving school helped the process of getting my license so much easier and it was also so much fun!

My first impressions were a little off but the staff are great and the atmosphere is just so nice, they’re very helpful and genuinely care about the students! They’re very care free and theirs not much studying needed at all to get your license

Fantastic experience: I had Jackie for my first drive with an instructor, it was amazing! He made me feel very comfortable and showed me exactly what mistakes I made and how to fix them in ways that made perfect sense.

Fantastic experience: I am a student of a1 driving and i love it my instructor is Jackie and i really like him he is really descriptive with the way he teaches and i love how he gives me visuals. i love how before we even started to drive he showed me how to adjust my seat and how to check my mirrors and teach me a lot of things i did not know.

Fantastic experience: I loved driving with Jackie, he helped me correct my mistakes and loved how he was so kind and gentle about it. He made me feel better about driving. I was so nervous and scared, but he helped me to feel better. I highly suggest going driving with him. He is the best.

Fantastic experience: Jackie helped me do more head checks on my final drive, He has helped me be more ready for my road test, Jackie very direct and friendly while also be more stern, he me do more right, Amazing instructor as well!

Fantastic experience: I was making some mistakes while driving, but the teacher Jackie has a unique but VERY effective way of teaching He tells me what to do when I have a mistake, then doesn't tell me again. For example: I didn't know where to look for signs, he tells me where, he doesn't mention it again, and I magically know where to find and follow the signs. Great place and great teacher.

Fantastic experience: A great place to learn how to drive. I especially like how Kenny isn’t over pressuring or intimidating at all but overall is a great and helpful instructor.

Negative experience: I am a student at a1 and I looked up there schedule online from this website and saw that I didnt take the class scheduled for feb 26 which said it was session 3... I went to the class for the full 2 hours and was told that this was lesson 7 one I've already taken. When I talked to my teacher about the issue she didnt care at all and wasnt helpful. This is very unprofessional!

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at this location and the Orem location. The lady Geenie I spoke to at the AF location was so helpful and nice. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: As an adult who never received formal education when it comes to driving, I sought out an instructor to teach me everything I needed to know for the road test. My instructor was great! I started out as anxious as can be and ended the two hour drive feeling confident and ready to schedule my test.

Positive experience: The instructors were really great and incredibly helpful with any questions I had on road tests and observations. Up until the final written road test I wasn't able to complete my course in a timely manner because of all the commotion that was going on in the classroom. Other then that I would definitely recommend A1 driving academy as its is one the easier more straight forward. driving schools.

Positive experience: I was able to do the online study course and when I went in to take the final written test they were very nice. On my drives and observations they were calm except for one instructor. Headed last minute decisions making it hard to drive. Other than that it was an over all great experience
