Augusta Defensive Driving School

Negative experience: Update: we did get our money back and we reported this business to DMV for their unethical and unprofessional behavior. Please avoid if you don’t want the trouble we went through. Dawn is impossible to work with. We don’t know what the deal is, but she has been totally unprofessional. We didn’t want to work with her anymore since she was closed during business days and then 5 days later when she finally contacted us decided to scold us and gaslight both of us. Which is wrong. She is now refusing to transfer my wife’s file to another location, blocked us both, and told us never to contact her again. I am personally going to call my attorney about breach of contract at this point. We can get an injunction on the behavior too. This behavior is awful. Truly hope she gets herself together. But until you hear or see some different reviews it’s my recommendation from my personal dealings with Dawn that you look somewhere else if you want to get your license in a timely manner without the mental gymnastics.

Fantastic experience: My daughter recently completed the Online Driver and Teen Driver programs this summer in order to opt out of driver's ed at school. As a parent, I appreciated the school's attention to safety, professionalism, and prompt attention to all of my questions and concerns. As a student, my daughter valued Dawn's patience and clear communication. I recommend Augusta Defensive Driving School for anyone looking to improve their driving skills or fulfill license requirements. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My Granddaughter just took this course and said she learnt more from this class than she did taking drivers Ed! She was even telling me some things she learnt that I didn't even know! I would definitely recommend this class 110% ...Thanks for helping teaching so much helpful information to keep her and all those on the highway safe!

Fantastic experience: After my son’s accident he had while practicing driving after getting his learner’s permit he had a lot of anxiety about driving again. We gave him some time hoping he would feel comfortable, but he just didn’t want to get behind the wheel again. We talked him into taking some driving lessons at Augusta Defensive Driving School and it was the best decision we ever made. His instructor took her time to make him feel comfortable and had him feeling more confident about his ability after the first lesson. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing extra practicing or extra help getting their driving skills where they need to be. We are so very grateful for their care and instruction with our son. He now has his license and is driving!

Fantastic experience: My son and I highly recommend Dawn and her driving school. My son described her as extremely patient and chatty (in the BEST way) which quickly put all learning drivers in the vehicle at ease. Corrections were made gently and directions clear and concise. She was super easy to work with as far as scheduling and flexibility. We appreciated that greatly. My son felt a lot more confident once he had completed her program. Highly recommend!!

Dawn was very patient with me, which was so helpful for both my anxiety and my driving skills (something I didn't have when I started), and now, with plenty of driving tips and experience and guidance under my belt, it's safe to say nothing can stop me anymore. Fantastic experience: Dawn is such an amazing driving instructor! Because of her, I passed my drivers test on the first try like it was nothing. She is very patient and gives you time to feel comfortable with one thing before moving on to the next. She also gives very good critiques on what you need to work on before you take your drivers test and will help you improve wherever you feel like you’re shabby. On top of all that, she’s super friendly and easy to talk to. Overall, more than worth the price!

Fantastic experience: Dawn was an outstanding behind-the-wheel instructor. She was calm and encouraging and my son felt very at ease with her. The platform for the online coursework was outdated and at times very frustrating, but the staff was aware and did their best to help students prepare and know what to expect from it. Overall, we were very pleased and we were grateful they could be so accommodating, especially in light of the challenges businesses are facing during COVID.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for a driver improvement course here in order to have a speeding ticket dropped. A few things worth noting: 1) This was the only clinic in the area I could find which had weeknight training. All the others required you to give up a full Saturday. 2) The instruction was top notch. Faline did a tremendous job of making what could be extremely dry content engaging and relevant. 3) The classroom facilities were nice and the setup was comfortable (important when you'll be sitting there for a 4-8 hour stretch). Overall I was extremely pleased. I highly recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to take this course after an accident. I was nervous and walked into a room full students of all different ages. Faline the instructor was amazing! The information was presented at the right times and was explained so that it was easy to understand. She was funny, informative, relatable and sympathetic to so many of the life experiences I heard from the other students! It's an experience and class that I would recommend highly to anyone having to choose a class to take! Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: I recommend Dawn to any parent who's teen is learning to drive. My youngest had her for an instructor 4 years ago and I still tell parents about her. Learning to drive is an exciting milestone and it makes it even more enjoyable when your teen is comfortable with their instructor.

Fantastic experience: I took a Defensive Driver's class with Dawn after getting a ticket. Obviously, I didn't want to be there, but I must say that the class itself was very educational, very interesting and actually very fun. The fact that I can say such positive things about a driving class that took up part of a Saturday is all you need to know, folks- this is a top notch driving school, which I'll be sending my new driver (15 year-old son) to shortly. Five stars and two giant thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: I have used Augusta defensive driving for both drivers ed and the defensive driving class to bring points off my license after using it in an irresponsible manner. its a very calm setting with a great instructor. I never felt nervous driving with her and she makes you feel like a person and not a paycheck. very awesome buisness and I will allways use augusta defensive driving any chance I get to take more points off.
