Fantastic experience: I have finished my behind-the-wheel driving class at Allegany Driving School and I just want to say how much I truly appreciate Ms. Britner as my instructor. I didn’t know how to drive at all—literally zero experience—but she was so nice, patient, and kind every step of the way. She’s soft-spoken and really helped ease my anxiety behind the wheel. I honestly never believed I could do it, but with her guidance, I actually did. Thank you so much, Ms. Britner! To all the students out there who are afraid to drive like I was—Ms. Britner is the one for you. You’ll feel safe, supported, and more confident every session. Thank you so much. ❤️❤️ -Ria-

Fantastic experience: Easy online access for Driver Improvement Program... Test taken right over the phone with Mr. Fraser, much simpler than anticipated!!

Negative experience: Terrible terrible terrible. I enrolled my daughter and she missed a couple days due to an emergency and they took about 2 months to contact her for a make up day. The class hours are drawn out bc they don’t have enough literature to teach so they teach long boring life lessons instead. It was a terrible experience and the ladies at the office are pretty rude

Fantastic experience: I learned a lot of stuff this place provides a lot of information that is important to know during driving the instructor and people I talk to on the phone and online were very nice and it fit my schedule for the way they carry their testing

Fantastic experience: We have jumped through hoops trying to get my husbands drivers ed in car portion completed so he can be licensed officially. I am so so so thankful Dean from Allegany Driving School reached out to us today waving all fees (since it’s past the recommended date from the state of Maryland) for him to become licensed and will take him to finish his course tomorrow. What a blessing!!! Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I had Allison for my in car driving lessons and she was the best. She helped me learn so much in the 6 hours we had and made me much more comfortable on the road.

Negative experience: I was doing my first lesson with Mrs. Heath when we got side swiped by someone with a boat, she had me follow them for most of my lesson putting me in potential danger. When she contacted me to set up the next lesson I told her I wasn't able to practice because our vehicle was having problems, and she was so judgie about it. Choose a different school.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter is a first time driver. The online classes were thorough with study guides, question and answer period, and mandatory note taking. Then a written exam. After passing the written exam there were 6 hours of in-person driving. Like much in life you get what you put into it and I am THRILLED that we chose Allegany Driving School as my granddaughter passed the driving test at the MVA with flying colors. I applaud everyone @ Allegany Driving School and their commitment to holding students accountable and having the patience to allow the drivers to build confidence at their own pace. Great job!

Fantastic experience: Great experience with this driving school

Negative experience: I was disappointed overall with this school. Class was ridiculous and instructors always talked down on the adults in the class. The driving lessons with Ms. Heath was horrible. She needs to learn how to talk to people. She even made a point to say I wouldn’t get my license. Well I got my license a week after the driving lessons were done. I really should have used my money for Widmyer instead.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just went through Allegany Driving school this summer. The staff were great and very helpful. My daughter had Mr. Hamburg as her driving instructor. He was great and she was very happy with the whole process. They were very proficient in helping her to get her license before she started college.

Negative experience: Driving instructor kept canceling on my daughter, then tells her with one session left she needs to find a new instructor

Fantastic experience: Was very pleased at the driving instructor mrs. Bitner for taking my wife out for her last 2 lessons of driving. I give you all 5 stars. I over looked the past since you all made it right great job i recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: Driving instructor made a racist statement towards a black person while I was driving, definitely disgusted by this.

Fantastic experience: They did a wonderful job with my son. They were flexible with his schedule, as he had Military duties. They allowed him to come and take the final tests with another class. Definitely recommend!
