Negative experience: Please take the time to read all the reviews. There is a reason this school is rated one of the worst ! Sharon purposely fails students to take money from teenagers and their parents !! Money grubber! Failed business for this women who can’t even drive ! If I can place zero stars I would. Her school DOES NOT DESERVE any stars your time/ money or your kids time !! Safe yourself and avoid this school!!

Negative experience: If I could give this women 0 stars I would. This women had me in a class of three people during her fall/winter season in I wanna say 2018 or 2019. She gave me trauma driving thinking I wasn’t smart enough to pass the written test or driving exam. She would let me review any of the questions I got wrong stating it was against state policy to allow any of her students to view the questions after you took the test because it’s against the law and that you wouldn’t be able to see the questions. There was one example about how much of a money grubbing cow she was, I ended up referring my cousin to the class and she said that if you refer someone to the class you get a free knowledge exam. As soon as I mentioned that I referred my cousin to the class and that I should get a feee exam… she told me she’ll think it over and then the next time we were in class she told me I’ll actually only get 5$ off of my exam if I don’t pass the first time. (SHE NEVER GAVE ME THE 5$) Sharon is not a good teacher, I would suggest you to go to ANY OTHER drivers Ed class BUT THIS ONE PLEASEEE♥️ go to NorthStar if you need to THIS LADY IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Negative experience: I do not suggest this school to anyone, i had a really bad experience with them, the lady is so rude and so u professional. At the time of payment she didn’t told me any thing that she cant finish the rides soon, while waiting so long finally she scheduled my first ride, before taking the ride i clearly told her that i need to have my driving license soon because my job is on pending she had so many excuses then i asked her that so if you cant can you plz refund my money i need to search for other schools i cant wait so long i will loose my job she said there is no refund policy, i had no other chance i said ok so at least help me and put me on your schedule anytime you ask i will come and take my rides. I took my first ride she was suppose to teach me for one hour each day my first ride was even not an hour no proper teaching manner noting was good still i ask her for second ride she scheduled the next ride but she canceled it two to three times and make excuses then she didn’t replied my calls messages after sometime i messaged her if your not giving me any service so plz refund my many. She was so rude and said that i scheduled it for you two thursday s but you didn’t show up so do i have a magic to know or she should inform me? Do not waste your time and money try other schools this school is totally a waste of time and money even the way she teach you will not be able to pass the driving test.

Fantastic experience: Took my divers test here. Definitely recommend. Very friendly and helpful. Also let me use my own car to take the test which most other schools don’t allow.

Fantastic experience: This place was amazing. I called and spoke with Sharon to inquire how soon I could be scheduled for a driving test since I had plans to leave on a road trip that coming weekend. Not only did she squeeze me in with a test the following morning, but she even came in a little earlier so that it better fit the schedule I'd already had planned that day. She was a delight from the minute I walked through the door, and helped ease my nerves on the actual drive test. Also she went over any errors I might have made letting me know what went wrong, why and how to correct it in the future. Very informative, accommodating, and pleasant. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking to get their drivers license. You won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: Do yourself a favor, avoid this school at all cost! The School's owner is modern day "Karen" and she will hold students accountable but no accountability for her. She will cancel her class and expect you to beg her for rescheduling the same class. She wasted our son's time and collect more fees from us! Don't let the cheap price fool you. She is also an ego maniac that acts like she is the gods of the roads. Again, learn from us and ovoid this school or she will turn 4 weeks class into 7 months of DRAMA!

Negative experience: Took written and passed...never entered in the system at DMV. Says the system won't work (blatant lie after talking with DMV and other companies who know her tactics all too well). Paid $90+ upfront for written and driving test and she no shows. This business is disgusting physically (office) and ethically. I will be reporting this business to the BBB and local law with FRAUD. Please respond to this review if you too have experienced this.

Negative experience: i took the permit test and it was easy, althought it’s been exactly a week and she still hasnt put it in the system. she told us that the system is broken but we called the dmv and they said its not. so idk whats taking her so long, she doesnt pick up the phone nor answer her messages. her place is filthy, go at your own risk... i do not recommend.

Negative experience: Don’t let the cheap price fool you like it did to me, sharron will try to drain the most money she can out of you. Very unprofessional never only once did she get out of her chair to even teach the class, she kicked me out of the school without giving me any type of phone call or deadline. I also thought while reading the reviews “it can’t be so bad” trust me, go to an actual good school like North Star it’s right down the street from this place :)

Fantastic experience: Sharon is the best. She’s very understanding and professional about her job. I took my drive test and got very nervous but she calmed me down and then I passed. Glad I went to her!!

Negative experience: My boyfriend had made an appointment at 1 o’clock for his driving test paid $60 and then they had to also reschedule the second time he went and he went in at 12:30 then they didn’t wanna do his appointment again and she was saying his appointment was at 12 o’clock but she had written on the receipt that his appointments at 1 o’clock and then she changed her story saying that she’s not gonna do it because the way she talk to him and the way he responded I don’t know who she is but I will find out it’s so sad that he had to pay upfront and he cannot even get a refund due to her thinking that she is someone special that she can talk to people disrespectful and he can’t even answer back!! Don’t go they just want to take your money

Fantastic experience: Best school ever! Instructor is very patient and will go over things several times if you need her to! Very comfortable with this instructor in the car when I was nervous she really made me feel safe and ok.

Negative experience: Easy access to written test and open later than most. Lady at the desk was loud and obnoxious. Location was located in a shady building and wasn't obvious to get to.

Negative experience: Very unreliable and untrustworthy. I passed my knowledge test, but they somehow forgot to enter it. This hindered me form getting my license on time. Do not recommend at all. There are much better driving schools out there that match the ¨low¨ price.

Negative experience: Very shady place. Many a times when I read negative reviews I take them all with a grain of salt. Everything people wrote negative about this place is correct and not a one off occurrence. It is the usual. She told us cash only because of 1 of or 2 of 2 reasons. 1st, tax evasion, 2nd so that you cannot dispute the transaction after she lies to you. She was extremely disrespectful to my wife when we came for my wife to take her permit test, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she may be having a bad day. While my wife took her test, she had personal cell phone conversations that were distracting to my wife. My wife did not pass the first time and when we came the second time, (included with the one time fee, just as many other places offer) she claimed that there was no record of her ever taking a test and said we would need to pay again. So she NEVER recorded my wife's test results with the state, meaning we could totally break state laws and continue to retake tests without waiting the required time limit. I kid you not, if you are going to be reading these reviews, be very considerate of what some of these people have written about this place and the way they were treated at this establishment. You can read all my reviews, It is rare that I write a negative review, but when it comes to dishonest, deceiving, law breaking places like this I could not let it go. There are many other driver's schools in the area and not too far away, do yourself and your family a favor and go somewhere else where they deserve your business and they're not in the business of scamming and conniving people.

Negative experience: Watched woman who works there leave a client in her office while she went out to verbally abuse someone dealing with another business that had nothing to do with her driving school. Extremely unprofessional. I tell everyone of my experience and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: This school is good peeps. The teacher is nice, funny, and gives tips about how to improve your driving. I've had a lot of fun at this school and I've learned how to be a safe driver in a relaxed environment. I would definitely recommend this school to others.

Negative experience: Just had one of your driver's pull up next to me and flip out.. He was yelling in his car incoherently and flipping me off. You should teach your driver's a anti road rage class.. Lol

Negative experience: I honesty did not like this place. She would keep adding fees when she said $400. When we asked for the contract she said she wasn't aloud to give it to us. Also we tried to talk to the owner multiple times and she would not give us his personal number. Only a number that keeps leading to Sharon. The one in auburn. She is very disrespectful. And also very distracting while trying to do your work. She marks dates wrong and blames you for it. Then you pay a $40 dollar fee. If you want to just get drivers ed over and not keep paying more than what you get join another school.

Fantastic experience: Great practical drivers training. Affordable with multiple locations. They answered all our questions and made the confusing process easy.

Negative experience: This is a very shady, unprofessional business. My daughter was told $300. Then Sharon said it would be another $100 when class started. And wouldn't give her $300 back. The instructor Sharon said she is not the owner but would not give us a way of actually speaking to the owner. She was extremely deceptive, unprofessional and dangerous. She yells at the class of students. She makes personal cell calls during driving instruction. Discusses her personal family business and inappropriate gossip during class Instruction. Take personal calls while teaching. Told the class she was trespassed from Auburn Riverside High School by the principal for picking up students for drives during their class time. Told the class about her husband's many heart attacks after receiving his call and yelling at him in front of the class. She cancels scheduled drives at last minute but charges students $25 to cancel. She never entered test results into the state computer. Finally my daughter quit. It was a huge waste of time, money and extremely aggravating. We then had to go to a different school where we were treated very respectful and told they received many many similar complaints about this money draining, very unprofessional business.

Negative experience: It was terrible. Me and one other kid out of 20 past our final test. And then they charge you $25 to retake the test. They also didn't show up to a few of my drives . But when they made me pay $40.

Negative experience: This is a very shady operation. Buyer beware. The women that runs the Auburn location is sneaky. She no showed her own class. No showed on a drive and rescheduled the drive past the 10week period. Said my son owed money$40.00 for a drive he missed that she has no record of making. I tried to straighten this out with her but she blames the owner. She is a sloppy mess. Picked my so up from school for a drive and then dropped him off at her school in auburn. Please be careful. I went here because we thought it was the best deal... Unfortunately it is not....

Positive experience: I really liked class. Sharon is really nice and you do learn from it. The only problem I had was Dan. The other person you might drive with. when we drove once he played some very inappropriate station. And personally he really bugged me. but all in all I really liked it. especially all the drives with Sharon. NOT DAN.

Fantastic experience: First Time Driving Academy was a life saver ! The school has the most reasonable price for a drivers-ed school. During my class time, Sharon was strict but in the most loving way possible. She didn't like to take a lot of crap from some of the disrespectful kids in there, but she never acted inappropriately towards them. During class she would be sure to answer any questions I had even though she encouraged us to look in our driver's guides before we ask her. There is plenty of time given in class to complete the packets given and if you don't finish you can take the packet home and do it as homework. At First Time Driving Academy they want to make sure you know how to be a safe driver and how to take care of your vehicle. The final test they give is only easy for those who have completed the work given to them and have read the drivers guide.There is no excuse for anyone to fail the final given because Sharon allows you to ask her any questions you may have the day prior to taking the test. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY TO BORROW A FREAKING PENCIL. All you have to do is trade in your phone or shoe or key for the duration of the class to make sure you don't forget to give the stupid thing back when you're done with it. Driving with Sharon is great because she's so chill, although she will NOT give you a score you didn't earn. She walks you through everything step by step and is very patient, even if she has to tell you more than once. I highly recommend First Time Driving Academy, it's worth your money.

Fantastic experience: 1st time driving academy is the complete opposite of the rumors. Sharon is a really fun , entertaining instructor . She is not rude, mean, or "biker thug" . She is very strict when it comes to completing the packets and for the students to be on task but she is very laid back. People say that you have to pay money if you're late or to borrow pencils/pens. THIS IS NOT TRUE. she gives students chances to complete the class they missed or drives. And when you go on the drives with her, its like driving with a friend. she doesnt distract you but she talks to you while you drive so you dont get nervous. If students were serious about getting their license and getting their work done, they should arrive EARLY and when they get to the class they should start on their packets right away. Overall, my experience was absolutely GREAT ! Sharons attitude towards students are actually based on the STUDENTS attitude towards Sharon. so if you dont want to get in trouble, i suggest you be on your best behavior, theres no point in wasting your money on something youre not serious about (: I would DEF recommend 1st driving academy to anyone (:

Negative experience: I would describe the instructors at this school as "biker thugs". My experience with this school has been horrifying. Don't let the cheaper price fool you, they will do their best to exploit you. Class goes like this: You get a packet and you write all the answers on a piece of paper. She only goes around distracting you. If your pencil breaks, you will have to pay $5.00 to borrow one. If your 1 minute late for your drive, you have to pay a $40.00 fee. If your late to class, you have to pay a $20.00 charge. I had an emergency and needed to take out my phone because my mom was in the hospital, she told me that she's taking my phone and my mom (who again was in the hospital) would need to come in and pick it up. My mother had nothing to do with my driving education. I'm an emaciated adult!! After I completed the driving school course, Sharron, the instructor REFUSED to issue me a certificate because she had drives and she didn't want to. After one week, once I filed complaints with the DOL and the Attorney General, she then only issued me a certificate.. PLEASE. Avoid this school!! Here are some other schools instead of 1St Time: 1.
