Centerline Driving School: Reviews
Negative experience: I confronted them and pointed out that they marked answers wrong Using wisdom washington drivers Manual enhanced pointing to them showing them where I what I said is right in the manual. I think they still said no they can't do it now. I do not recommend them. I think the third isn't? It for the book? And they'll feel anybody's many times as they can. I'm 37 years old and 20 years and restaurant industry. I know it's a blood alcohol content level is in every state.
Fantastic experience: Good school. I recommend it.
Fantastic experience: Very good school
Fantastic experience: Mr. Very kind, everyone is very kind, very good experience.
Thank you so much. We are happy to have been able to help you.
Fantastic experience: Very nice instructors, make feel confident and comfortable behind the wheel
Thanks Brandon and happy driving.
Negative experience: Accused me of being high when I was 16 at this school during a drive. Then had me pull over for 10 minutes so he could talk to and old cop friend of his during the 1 hour drive that I paid for!
Kylie, this is news to me. I would be happy to discuss further. Please contact me at 360 573 5490.
Fantastic experience: Centerline surprised me from the moment I walked in the door. From application to the knowledge test to the driving test, I never once felt like I hadn't been friends with them for years! I never felt stressed during any exam and the whole staff were humorous, cordial and accommodating. I didn't feel like just another customer but as if I were visiting friends on a normal day. I recommend Centerline for anyone qualifying for their license. Thank you, Centerline, for making my journey enjoyable.
Thank you so much for choosing Centerline Driving School! It was a pleasure to help you with your Driving Tests.
Negative experience: Tried finding out more about this program and how it works. Lady on the phone was super rude and told me that "there not psychologist" when I said I was trying to find a program that'll work best for me since I have some anxiety in cars from previous car accidents. Treated me like I was weird for wanting to take classes because I'd be the only adult in the glass because they are for "teenager's ". I'm only 21.
I am so sorry you had a bad experience; "we are not psychologists", but we have had success working with students that have anxiety. Adults (18 and over) do attend classes with teenagers, but most fit in in quite nicely.
Positive experience: my personal experience with this driving school was a fairly decent one, some instructors are better than others at making drivers feel at ease and lightening the mood. Others could stand to take a page from their books, But overall I definitely learned what I needed and became a better driver.
Negative experience: This place is awful go somewhere else
Fantastic experience: Great personable staff patient and respectful!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a nice review! We appreciate your business.
Fantastic experience: This is the best, most competent Driving School in Clark County! No need to look anywhere else!
Thank you so much. It is a pleasure teaching your children how to drive and doing business with you.
Fantastic experience: Congratulations momma... I'm super proud of you!
Positive experience: I don’t know much about this driving 101 building but me and my friend went her. She took her driving exam and passed first time but it looked way better than Big Johns because they were calm and good services. On Big Johns they refused to take my friend exam because only I said is it alright if i could go with my friend and Big Johns employees had a bad influence with me and customers. plus one of them said I own the building and being all tough and I said okay but I understand you were a military guy and had a grumpy attitude then he finally shut up. So big Johns finally gave the money back and I knew they ripped people off before she took her test, plus Big Johns smokes in their building and it’s not professional. So we went here and i like how clean and organized they are and one of the instructors looks clean and very professional so I would recommend this place
Thank you for your review; we are happy to have been able to help you with your driving needs.
Fantastic experience: I have a teenager currently enrolled here. Talks constantly about how great the instructors are and all that is being learned. Highly recommend.
We are happy to have your child and really appreciate your recommendation.
Fantastic experience: I must commend the woman who runs the office. I think her name is Jean. She is more knowledgeable about the procedures for obtaining a driver's license than the owner and his instructors combined. She also has the patience of a red headed saint regarding what she has to put up with on a day to day basis both on the phone and from certain psycho case instructors who work at Centerline. She keeps them in line, keeps the drives moving, yet is both considerate and stern with the rules they have to follow. This is the woman to speak with whether you're a teenager signing up for Driver's Ed, an older adult who has lost a spouse and now must drive themselves, or an English as a second language adult who finds the whole system confusing as hell. Jean is the ONE!
Thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: I was a student here and I really enjoyed it all classes were good teachers were amazing definitely recommend it
It was a pleasure having you as a student, Johnny.
Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with this center.... i went to this center since around one month from now to have the driving license tests in order to obtain my driving license....I had a knowledge test and I have passed it and after that I paid another $40 for the driving test... someone who was old man came with me to test me on the road. I was very high qualified and before that test I drove approximately 10 thousand miles in the USA with my international driving license and before that I have been driving for around 11 years in different countries. He came with me and he was not very friendly At all and I was very friendly although he was getting more annoyed when I find a difficulty to understand his difficult accent. I did very well in the test and after we back to the center after the test...He EXACTLY as someone who already decided to fail me even before the test!! He told me that I did somethings which I SERIOUSLY did not do and I was very angry, do you know why angry? Because I swear I would welcome failing me if I deserved that but seriously he said wrong things about me which I did not do!!!!! But the only positive thing that I couldn’t sleep this day because of the feeling of unfair. This feeling is not easy at all!! So I decided not to give them another $40 for a second trial because this is the thing that they wanted to achieve from the beginning!! The second day yes the second day I went to another very respectful professional school in Battle Ground called Wakes and I have PASSED because I deserve that and with extremely professional respectful friendly treatment. And I had the driving license at the same day (temporary one and then after two weeks received the original document) And I felt that I have achieved the victory after this situation.
Positive experience: Centerline Driving School is alright. They teach you what you need to know about driving, road laws, driver safety etc. however most of the classes are pretty boring (80% of the entire course is watching videos and slide shows) and the videos shown in class are a bit outdated. There were also 1 or 2 times where the instructors couldnt figure out how to get the TV to work so they just skipped the video altogether. All in all you learn what you need to get your license and be a safe driver. Also if you do get the option to choose which instructor you drive with (they usually dont give you the choice though) pick Perry Romano or Andy Nguyen they are both very calm, nice and funny people and will help you to be less nervous during your drives.
Fantastic experience: The instructors are kind, professional and patient. I feel safe knowing my son is in excellent hands.
Thank you for your kind words! We hope that all our students learn to be safe and courteous drivers.
Negative experience: They scheduled a drive knowing that the permit was expired. Took the money for the drive. When we came in for the drive, told us we couldn’t because permit was expired and to come back with new permit. Would not give us money back because they had “no receipt”. Why schedule a drive if you have in the records that the permit was expired and accept the money? Customer service is pretty bad! Didn’t get any money back and have to wait now till next availability after getting new permit
I am sorry this happened to you. It does not sound like anything we would do; you do not have to have a current permit to take a driving test, but you must have a current "knowledge test" on file. Please come back in and I will be sure to refund your money if we have record of receiving it and you have not taken the test with us.
Positive experience: If you can request an instructor, ask for Andy. He made me feel very comfortable and confident behind the wheel.
We are very glad that you had a good experience with Andy. Thank you.
Negative experience: The customer service is awful! If you can go and take your tests elsewhere you should. I inquired about options for limited English speakers and the responses were given in such a condescending tone.
Nancy, I am very sorry you feel that way. That was never the intent. You called last week and again today; the only answer I can give you regarding non-English speaking testers is that we offer the written exam in several languages, but when taking the actual driving test, the person testing must know enough English be able to understand the tester. There are no translators allowed on the test. The Department of Licensing can help if you need assistance beyond that. I hope that helps.
Negative experience: They are nice, but VERY disorganized.
Thank you for your kind review. You probably were here during a very busy time; I assure you, it's "organized chaos" :-) We are small business and we do our best to keep things moving.
Negative experience: honestly this place was good chris was super cool and the lady upfront was welcoming but i really recomend you guys switch up some of your drive instructors especially that one fella david. When i was on a drive he kept itching his balls and making weird sounds, that led me to feel uncomfortable he kept saying nasty things I hope you guys really switch him up because perry andy and chris are some instructors you would want to be with
Thank you for your comments. We appreciate all feedback.
Fantastic experience: Great school, awesome stuff! Very nice place. I'm glad that I passed my skills test at this school. Good luck, guys!
Thank you for choosing Centerline Driving School.
Fantastic experience: 10/10 would recommend, great staff, great service. It is an amazing environment to learn how to drive, and the instructors are passionate about safe driving.
We enjoyed having you as a student and hope you continue with your safe driving habits!
Negative experience: Scammers!!! Be aware!!!!! I went there to take the driving test. Charged 50 dollars. The guy taking the test made a few racist comments and then kept talking the entire test and distracting me. I have been driving for more than 10 years with no accidents! He FAILED me in the test and out rightly LIED about things I did or didn't do! The first things he said was let's schedule you for another test. Yes! And pay 50 more dollars He has made this a business and to make money for his business he wasted my time and money both Scammers!!!!!
Fantastic experience: monty is the best
Come back and see us!
Negative experience: It'll sure get you your licence, but you'll have an incredibly frustrating time. The staff in the front are beyond ditsy and immensely hard to deal with.
Negative experience: The lady who answers the phone calls (Becky) hung up on me you might think I'm lying but I'm not sadly I hate seeing these types of things. I would give ZERO STARS but there is no option.
We are very sorry you had a bad experience; perhaps the call was dropped? I'm sure it was not intentional.
Fantastic experience: Very nice people working here
Thank you for your kind words. It was our pleasure serving you.
Fantastic experience: I had my driving test at the school. My experience was good! I would recommend this school for a driving test.
We hope all is going well with you, Olga. Please let us know if we can help you in the future.
Fantastic experience: I was really nervous when doing the tests. But they understood and gave me time they are really nice people.. I would highly recommend them... #1 in Vancouver Washington
Andrew, thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. Please come back if we can ever help you in the future.
Fantastic experience: Good school
It was a pleasure to serve you!
Fantastic experience: We found the staff at Centerline Driving School to be professional, capable, courteous and friendly. It was a wonderful experience all around and we're glad that this school was recommended to us.
Michelle, it has been our pleasure to have your daughter in our classes. She is a gem!
Fantastic experience: 7/9/15 Chris –Just want to let you know how much we appreciate you and all of your instructors. I attended all but two of the classes presented and I even learned some new things. Everything was very informative and her driving lessons were helpful, too. She did her last drive today and got 100%!!! Now, to me, that says a lot about what you and your staff has taught her. She even catches me and her mom, too, about stopping “on the line” at a light or intersection… The time invested was very well worth it and I tell everyone how great you all are!!! Thank you again…. Linda Cook Tayler Harp’s grandmother
Fantastic experience: great teachers. love the place
Negative experience: This was by far the worst experience.... I would never recommend this school to anyone. The only positive thing I can say is that Kim is an awesome drive trainer. The owner Chris swore on my daughters first drive. The staff at the desk for customer service is less then incompetent. Nice when they mess up, but oblivious to the fact that they need more people working the office with the amount of kids they pack into the classes. As well as the staff for drivers. It took weeks to schedule a drive, and the last three drives where during school hours. The last straw was the DMV skills drive test, you cant schedule it until you have passed your written test and it was 4 weeks out. So I got a drive test with 911 for my girl and it was the complete opposite experience. I called to cancel the drive test with centerline and they didn't even have it on the schedule. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
