Negative experience: One of their instructors just rolled right through a red light about 4 seconds after it turned green. Driving one of their company cars about a block from the location. Not someone who should be teaching anyone how to drive.

Fantastic experience: I failed twice before I started at Albany Driving School, the instructor taught me not just how to pass my test but even how to drive after I got my license, if I get lessons from Albany School driving in my first test I'll pass in the first time, thanks Ronny

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had pretty bad driving anxiety. However, after moving to Albany from a very small town in northern Michigan (with little driving experience) my driving anxiety increased. At 26 and still not having a license, I needed help. At the end of October I started taking lessons with John, who helped build my confidence. John was kind, patient and very understanding. He made me feel at ease behind the wheel and helped me in the areas I struggled. Less than two months later, I passed the road test on my first try! I definitely recommend Right Way Driving Center! From my 5hr course with Tony (he made a 5hr zoom class tolerable), to Jessica in the office (SO sweet!) and my instructor John, I had a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: Kathy in the office is so kind and fast ! You can tell she’s good at her job and enjoys it! Daryl was the one giving me my lesson and he was such a joy, he made me very comfortable !! Highly recommend, my experience has been a breeze ! :) super happy

Fantastic experience: I re-learned how to drive partly using their services, after a break of more than 10 years, and took the 5-hour course with them, online. The driving instructor was older and overall he was very good. He never lost patience and one could tell that he had been doing this for many years, having a tried and tested method. However, there was some strange personality conflict at the end. The 5-hour course was again taught by an elderly gentleman and again was very good. The instructor had a lot of interesting materials to illustrate his points and knew quite a lot of anecdotes and facts. I especially recommend them for the 5-hour course.

Fantastic experience: Right Way is awesome. We had 2 girls learning to drive at the same time, with very different needs (one more cautious, one more distracted). This was the perfect place, it took all the pressure off us getting them to and from lessons, as they picked them right up at home. They were incredibly flexible and patient with the girls. Both passed their test on the first try, and are much better drivers because of their time with Right Way.

Negative experience: Took a lesson and booked the road test and failed because Brad said learning how to do the 3 point turns and the parallel park “we only use three times a lifetime” Use Bell’s it’s better learning than this company!

Fantastic experience: I haven't driven for 40 years, and I've been unfamiliar with driving for a long time, but Tony is very patient to teach me to remember driving skills, and often asks me to drive to places I will go often in the future, so that I am familiar with any traffic environment, which is very different from Hong Kong, when I do the right skills Tony will immediately praise, and after class will mention how I perform every day, Tony will not scold people, when you know that the student is in a bad mood or spirit that day, Tony will talk to you, of course will not constantly harass the student to drive, let you relax your mood, the staff_jessica is a very responsible person, when the student has any problems, Jessica can handle the student very well, feel good, highly recommend this driving school ！I pass the road test on Jan. 3/2023 , I'm so happy ☺️ and thankful for Tony

Negative experience: My name is Elena and I do not recommend this driving school to anyone, despite the fact that it has been operating for many years. Better pass by. They will definitely not teach you how to take the exam there, especially since not all instructors are capable of teaching there, and if you don’t like something, they will simply blacklist you and will certainly refuse to provide the service next time. Verified personally.

Fantastic experience: Just took my 5 hour course here and John was an absolutely amazing instructor. He was informative and funny, gave loads of good driving advice, and helped people out with specific questions. He also had a remarkable understanding of local roads, so gave examples of different traffic patterns, road layouts, and signage that we see in our regular commutes.

Fantastic experience: I 100% recommend!! I took the 5-hr pre-licensing course online and my instructor was Cheryl. The sign up process was very easy and Jessica answered all of my questions and was very polite. Cheryl was extremely nice and very interactive will all the students in the call as well. Though it's tiring being on a zoom call for 5 hours straight, she gave us a little break and she constantly made me laugh. I came into this call thinking I wouldn't learn anything but I surprisingly did, and I'm so glad Cheryl was my instructor. And if you don't feel like talking, you dont have to :) She didn't force anyone to have a conversation with her. If you're having second thoughts about doing the 5-hr course here, don't! I promise Right Way Driving Center is worth it :)

Fantastic experience: I signed my son up to take this course, which has been approved for 16 year olds to take remotely on Zoom for the time being (due to the Covid times we are living in right now). I signed him up on Thursday for a Saturday class, and the whole process couldn’t have been easier!! Jessica promptly called me after we filled out the forms online to answer any questions and take payment for the class. We received an email with very detailed instructions, and my son got signed into the Zoom session like a breeze!! On top of that (and probably the best part) even though my son was completely dreading taking this course, he thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a ton!! Cheryl was his instructor and he said she was extremely interactive and engaged everyone, and she “really knew her stuff!!” (His exact words!). Thanks Right Way!! You made this “right of passage” an easy to navigate and enjoyable experience!!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter who has limited driving experience, had her first lesson Brad this week and had a very good experience working with him. Thank you for making her feel comfortable and more confident as she improves her driving skills!

Negative experience: I gave them one star because you have to at least give them that to write a review. I was almost hit head on by one of their instructors coming down a ONE WAY road the WRONG WAY. About 10 mins ago they were driving down Woodlawn (after partirdge street where it turns into a one way after the light) traveling in the direction of Albany Medical Center. How the hell are they teaching people to drive properly?

Negative experience: Well week before last a instructor named bill contacted me saying that he had that next Sunday available so I notified my manager he set me up for 11 on the schedule for me to start working when I told Bill that I worked he said he would drop me off there I work in Clifton Park so the ride I regularly have drop me off at work went on thinking that I had a solid ride to work I was paying bill when he arrived so Sunday came and I waited for him to show nothing and eventually I was forced to call out due to not having a ride there and I lost out on money that day and was written up and this morning bill calls asking if I'm ready for the lesson it's snowing and icy and now I feel like I'm being strongarmed for my money cuz I'd have to pay a 30$ fee I was never notified that I had something set for today so I will not be using this and any customers that show I will notify them as well not to use this school and I will not be paying the 30 I already lost out on 75 dollars for the day I had to call out I was gonna use your services again I thought he jus forgot and not take lessons till next month but thats over and done with I think if they forget or if they change something without your instructor informing you first they should pay you why should the penalty be one sided

Negative experience: My husband just went today, the instructor gave my husband 1 last chance to stay awake, which he did then at the end did not give him his certificate!! Want our $50 back, I think if you do not recieve a certificate then you should NOT have to pay $50. Your paying for the certificate not the class!!! As well as the instructor made my husband sit there the last hour in a half of the coarse just to tell him he wasnt going to give him a certificate! My husband was participating in questions asked and only dozed off 2 times!!! Very upset about this as we do have 3 kids to support!!! I would like if right away driving center could contact me or leave an email for me to contact them

Fantastic experience: I had taken the 5 hr prelicensing course because mine had expired and I was dreading it! But instead it actually wasn’t bad at all because Joe the instructor kept us engaged and interested. I learned so much and I definitely recommend this school if you need to take the course.

Negative experience: They will just take your money over and over without teaching you how to pass driver's test. If you dont know how to drive this is for you. If you have been driving for years and just need to know how to pass the driver's test this place wont help you. Only care about the money.

Negative experience: If you use their service get e-mail, written confirmation or record your phone calls. They are very poor with record keeping and will make up dates you never asked for and then charge you for the missing them. Be very careful

Fantastic experience: Ronnie is amazing at what he does. He is very helpful and teaches you exactly what will be on the test and what to expect. He makes you feel comfortable driving on the road which is a huge plus because I started off as a very nervous driver. I passed thanks to Ronnie! His 5 hr class is also very helpful. recommend taking it because he informs you the do's and dont's of the road test and what to do.

Fantastic experience: I got my son a gift certificate for driving lessons, they are absolutely amazing, after his lesson where done, we set up his road test through right way, I couldn't be happier with the how professional they are, and teaching​ him how to be a good driver! He also took his 5 hour with them.

Negative experience: I went to location last week wasted time,gas and day off.It says on the website they have 5 hour course but said two different times half hour difference.called no one answered but it stated on website they were moving July 1 to another location.Nothing about being closed and moved or anything else!Beginning of June they were gone apparently without updating site.I had one good instructor a few years ago.There are driving schools that will come to you and also more availability than this school.
