Fantastic experience: John Folker from St. Pete - Tampa is the best instructor of all. I had 6 lessons where we always took highways, drove through neighborhoods, and practiced as if we were taking the DMV test—basically, a little bit of everything. He is a very calm person who makes you feel very confident. I highly recommend him!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter, 16 years old, had a great experience with Ault’s Driving School! Her instructor, Melody was excellent. She was friendly, made my daughter feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. We thank Ault’s and Melody for providing such a positive experience for our teen. We would definitely recommend them for any new driver of any age!

Fantastic experience: It's been a few years, but I was just thinking about the great experience. I was 21 and terrified of driving. I took four classes with an instructor who basically taught me from scratch. I'm autistic and have dyspraxia, and he helped me work with my poor depth perception and spacial awareness to make things like parking possible. When I failed my first test, the woman on the phone who helped me schedule my next test was so encouraging and wanted me to call and let her know when I passed. I'm 24 now. Part of my job for the past year and a half is driving. I drive a wheelchair accessible bus as well as a 12-seater van. I'm rarely alone in these cars and frequently have people talking, yelling, sometimes arguing, geting my attention. Lots of potential distractions. Never imagined that I could do this.

Negative experience: My son took his driving test with Dan Zawadski. He wasVery nice, and professional unlike the person whom I spoke over the phone at the office, very rude and unprofessional. He needs some customer service classes. Unfortunately I didn't caught his name. That's the reason I'm giving you two stars.

Fantastic experience: My Daughter received her training and enjoyed every minute! I am so thankful for Ault's for making the experience memorable and making the community safer.

Good teachers good drivering school teachers great job and great education for all students in this school of choice who have been working hard to make this school better than ever before in school education for many of the best schools and teachers

Fantastic experience: Before I took these lessons, I was really afraid of the road. Thankfully when I started my lessons Danny helped me build my confidence in driving. He was calm, informative, and wasn't afraid to point out any mistakes or answer questions.

Fantastic experience: I took my drivers test with Dan Zawadski in Sarasota and he was the nicest person ever! Very trained, patient and perfect driving teacher. He did not make me nervous at all before or during my test!!! Dan is the best

Fantastic experience: Really helpful friendly people

Negative experience: Brad is the most rude, condescending person I have ever spoken to in my life. From the start, Brad had an attitude and I should have known not to put my son on the list. After my son calling every week and the same attitude, he finally calls again like he does every Friday, and Brad tells him, oops, we called, you missed it, sorry about your luck. Brad never called. I put my phone number. I went through all of my phone records, so I have proof. He's the son of the owners, or idk, someone trying to be important? Stay away because Brad is mad he has to even answer the phones. I disputed every little thing he said and he had no back up. Oops, don't know when we called you but sorry. It's because he didn't. You ask a question, he's mad. None of my children will ever go to this company, in fact, we are driving to another county just to avoid them and will continue to shout it to the world. Excuse me, Brad. It's to avoid Brad. **I never once mentioned the maam thing because that was not what my problem is. Of course Brad is going to say that he wasn't rude or condescending, because he's the one that took the phone call. My son should have never missed his shot, but he did because they never called. I don't care how many times Brad tries to claim he's not rude, he is. He didn't make it right. He didn't apologize. He was downright rude. I complained about him in April when I first called and at that time told him I would call him back at another time because even then he was so freaking rude. Have your staff back you up, idc. What you did was wrong

Negative experience: I’ve never use this company before, but if the driver who’s teaching people to drive, doesn’t know how to use a turn signal, you might wanna look for someone else.

Fantastic experience: This company is great. Brian was great. My son got a perfect score on his road test. It gave him the confidence to drive on his own!

Fantastic experience: Mr. George Duduka was very accommodating and understanding. If you need a driving instructor for your kids, he is the right one. He will make sure to work with your kids' schedules.

Fantastic experience: I must say, doing my road test with Steve today went phenomenal well. He was very nice, and though I was nervous, I was comfortable. If they have more than 5 stars I would definitely give more. Highly recommend this school and Highly recommend Steve as your instructor.

Fantastic experience: Update: Improved the rating. Gave them another call, and the gentleman was very nice and helpful. Son did test with Steve who was great. I can’t speak to the actual driving experience. I called to get information on a drivers test for my son. The guy on the other line was rude, condescending, and confusing. I will not use this business for that reason.

Fantastic experience: I went to take the test drive there because they could do it on a Saturday and I didn't have to ask for permission from work. The man who helped me yesterday was super professional, even though I don't know much English, I had a person who translated for me, but his calm and patient way of speaking made me understand him, he explained each step you have to take and at the end of The test where you failed tells you what you failed at. I recommend them, they are professional and punctual.

Fantastic experience: Writing this review right after taking my drivers license test and my instructor was Steve. Made me feel very comfortable in the car and had a great personality. When i just got there i was a little nervous at first but as soon as i sat in the driver’s seat he made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. would definitely recommend and ask for steve!!!

Negative experience: They tell you to call prior to a certain time to schedule a test; however, no one answers. The phone just rings until voicemail picks up. Spent over an hour trying to reach them with no luck.

Fantastic experience: Took my drivers test with Steve. He was super nice. I was able to take the exam in my own car which was super nice and most driving schools/ testing places won’t let you. Sheila made the testing appointment and she was also super kind.

Negative experience: Tried to set up an appointment over the phone, the receptionist was not helpful, not to mention completely and unprofessonaly rude. Her name was Jules. I tried calling yesterday to set up an appointment, she said that she only had next Saturday from 9 to 4. I called again today and the times completely changed to afternoon hours. And then she said with a sarcastic sound in her voice, "WELL THATS ALL I HAVE AVAILABLE. ITS NOT MY FAULT IF YOU CANT MAKE TIME IN YOUR SCHEDULE TO COME IN. I'd have much more luck getting my license through the tax collector office . I'm completely disgusted with the lack of professionalism that piss lady showed

Negative experience: Awful experience! Steve was not friendly and was not helpful in instruction at all. Steve did my daughter driving test. He was very confusing in his direction during the test. When my daughter came back from testing she was in tears , unusual for her! He showed zero sympathy or helpful words of encouragement. Do your job! Be helpful and use some kindness . Promise it goes along way! I would never recommend Steve or his company ………

Negative experience: Due to COVID-19 I had to set up the appointment for her road test with Ault's driving school. The test itself cost double what it would have cost at my local DMV, taking advantage of a pandemic. They had 3 locations, Sarasota, Punta Gorda and Englewood, we set up the appointment for the Sarasota Location. We got an email sending us to the Punta Gorda location and they also provided the instructors name, when we get there the instructor said my daughter was not on his schedule, to the instructors credit after seeing the email, that showed the date, time, location and had him listed as the instructor, he said he would fit us in, we ended up waiting about 40 minutes beyond our appointment time before she was able to take her test, and we were notified after the fact that the drivers school had put her on the schedule at the Englewood location, which is still not the location we requested. As if thats not enough the school charged my credit card twice so now I have to address that with them tomorrow. So all the good things about today are to the credit of the instructor and not the school.

Fantastic experience: Spoke to Janey to schedule an appt for a driving test and she was so friendly, informative and got us taken care of.

Negative experience: Tried to get an appointment and the lady on the phone her name was Jainy or Jaimy something like that was super rude. While I was on the phone with her I kindly asked her are you ready for my information and she said no, and whispered under her breath “oh my goodness.” Also they want to get my card information over the phone and charge me the day I make an appointment when the road test is literally 2 weeks away. Incredible that they try to charge you $95 weeks before you even take the test. Terrible service very rude staff would definitely not recommend. And I’m usually not the type to make a review but this lady really upset me.

Negative experience: This morning I called Ault Driving School to ask about driving lessons for my son. I had picked up a form at Lemon Bay High School to enroll him but noticed that they were requiring masks to participate. I got Jaime on the phone and I stated that LBHS had made masks optional. She stated my son would have to wear a mask. I told her my son had a medical reason NOT to wear a mask and I asked her if she was going to discriminate against him and she said (very rudely) that they were a private business and could do whatever they wanted. Well that is true Jaime and I can chose to make sure everyone knows about how you discriminate against children with medical conditions! ***I am editing this post to say that Ault's driving school did in fact allow my son to take this class and is rescinding their mask mandate for children in the Charlotte County School District. Thank you for making this right.

Fantastic experience: I took Ault’s driving courses with Steve and he was excellent! He was funny and super helpful :) Definitely made me more comfortable driving. I’m glad I had classes with him! I took my driver’s test with them and Dan was my tester! He was amazing, too. Helped calm my nerves and super friendly. I passed!

Fantastic experience: I had Mr. Martin as my instructor and Mr. Zawadski for my driver's test. Amazing experience with both, very helpful and super nice.

Fantastic experience: Had zero driving experience, and lots of anxiety about being behind the wheel. I had barely passed my permit test, and couldn’t maneuver a car whatsoever. My mom purchased me driving lessons from Ault, (10 lessons) and I’d say after the first lesson I was 100 times more confident and comfortable driving. I had Michael, who immediately was able to access my driving ability (which was 0) and start me off with the basics, which were left and right turns with hand-over-hand steering. Michael explained things very simply and was patient and supportive throughout the course of my lessons. I went on to take my drivers test with Ault as well, and passed with ease. Well worth it, my mom and I are really glad with the results, and we are both comfortable with me driving where we need to go!

Negative experience: Paid for my son to take driving test and waited three weeks for them to schedule the test before I finally gave up and called them and they are now saying they are refunding my money because they have no idea when he can take the test. They are blaming it on the state but it is tough to believe that it takes all this time and still can't get a simple driver's test done.Sad to say but it is probably quicker (and cheaper) just to sign up with you local DMV even though you have to wait over a month for that test.

Negative experience: -DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE SPENDING EXTRA MONEY- We used this driving school as an alternative to a dmv during high traffic driving test scheduling and boy what a terrible alternative it was. After coming once for my sons driving test, he had failed and they quickly offered their pretest costing $60 extra on top of rescheduling fees. We rescheduled the morning after due to his anticipation of getting his license. Emails were sent to his phone after rescheduling giving the exact time and date of. On arrival he waited more than an hour in the waiting room to be told there was a scheduling error and he was actually scheduled for the day after. When he asked about it or if he could get compensation, he was yelled at and told to “get out” for asking for a refund. If you’re arriving for a driving test, its more than likely you will have to show up more than once due to poor scheduling, inconsistent staff, and just sheer unprofessional behavior, even seeming hostile in our circumstance. Take your business elsewhere, 100% not worth the task what-so-ever.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with aults, very professional and straight forward . Steve was my driving test examiner , Very nice guy and friendly . Steve helped keep me calm and collected and made my drivers test a great experience. I would definitely recommend aults for your driving test .

Fantastic experience: I took four lessons with Mr. Green and think he was an amazing instructor. I had no experience behind the wheel but he taught me a lot in a short amount of time and got me comfortable with the road.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my drivers test in Englewood today largely due to a great instructor named Dan, as he was the man. Just like my peer Jack Wardlaw, I really recommend having Dan as an instructor because he was very nice and clear with his instructions and answered any questions I had. Overall, I feel a large part of the test is based off having a good instructor so if you ending up getting Dan you are in great shape to pass your test. However, I had many complaints as far as the communication that was given to me by my previous AULTS instructor from other driving lessons. Finally, I strongly recommend using your own car on the test and not one of the ones provided by AULTS as I think it helped me pass my test today as well.

Fantastic experience: I did not like my instructor when I took the lessons, and was uneasy about taking my driving test with ault's after that experience. However, the person I took my test with, Dan, was amazing. Not even comparable to my lessons instructor and extremely friendly. Got rid of any nerves I had about taking the test and made it a walk in the park. Would definitely recommend him for taking a drivers test.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Called over 60 times not kidding. I scheduled a appointment and they took my card info, permit number, license plate numbers, and my email and said I was scheduled but then I tried calling 2 days later and they said I wasnt I the system

Negative experience: A complete money scam, looking to fail you so they can overcharge. Dee was dishonest and condescending and this school is simply a money grubbing cash out scheme. Don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes with a 50 dollar drivers test.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Ault's! First off, my in-class instructor Mr. Alan Carter is very informative, funny, and kind and always brings cookies to class each week! (He makes the 2.5 hours go by fast). Next, my driving instructor Mr. Rob Stansfield is very funny and patient as I drove in that car for the first time ever. In two weeks, I had driven on local roads, 41, the highway, and learned all the maneuvers for the test. I am definitely comfortable driving now and look forward to taking my license test!

Dan, in particular, was the one testing me and has done an amazing job. He was able to calm me down and has made the test a very pleasant experience for me. Fantastic experience: In the 15 week aults driving course. I have learned so much and feel like a more educated driver. We learned all the material that i will be to get my driver's license which is awesome because now i know exactly how to pass the test. Great course!!!!

Negative experience: Bought the most expensive 3 k driving program some time ago. THEY SENT THIS ELDERLY MAN TO DO THE PROGRAM. sHE WAS LATE TO START ON THE LONGEST 2 HOUR trip. he was rude refused to reschedule. HE WAS ALWAYS CURT AND RUDE NO MATER EVEN WITH thank you's. He was too old to teach and did not have the patience required to be an effective teacher. Daughter is a good kid...still nervous not driving 2 + years later....THANKS Aults.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. They teach you step by step, go over everything. Is very patient with you. Actually cares a lot and wants you to pass. If you listen and do what he says, you WILL pass the road test piece of cake.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff. Unwilling to help. Bad attitudes. 9 to 5'ers who don't want to do be there and do their jobs properly. There are so many driving schools out there; choose wisely.
