Fantastic experience: Great experience with Mike’s Driving School. I had a road test service done since my permit was going to expire, and luckily Lou my instructor came by early to give me some good refresher tips. I managed to pass! Thanks again Lou, you’re the best!

Negative experience: Not sure If I sounded like I have a melanated skin tone over the phone, but the receptionist who answered was very short and abrupt. I simply stated “hello I would like to find out some information in regards to services and price, my son is 17 and has passed his written test at school.” The response was, Well , does he have a permit? If it’s just the piece of paper from school he needs a permit! And there’s a wait. So Rude and unnecessary. The steps could have been explained in a better manner. It’s 2024 what’s the problem???

Negative experience: Dont waste your time, The office staff is very unprofessional and carefree. They remind me of someone who would work for the DMV, Dont waste your time or money on a company that doesnt care about you or treating you with customer service.

Negative experience: Not professional at all, ( office personnel) seemed a little racist. Noticed reviews are from 4 or more years ago.

Negative experience: The tone of the receptionist was horrible. She spoke at my son and I in a very harsh tone. She then told my son that he wasn't allowed to take the permit exam there.

I took a 6 hour course and Pete taught me everything I needed to know. He was very polite, patient and supportive. I used Mike's Driving School for my road test and passed on the first try. Negative experience: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!! Paid half the class up front...ended not being able to do the class due to medical reasons...they kept 500$ of my payment for a registration fee when I didn't take the class and I even canceled it 2 weeks before. And this is right before Christmas too when money is even tighter.

Fantastic experience: This is the best school in New Jersey ! I went to a different school and didn’t learn anything at all . At mikes you get THE best hands on learning with the best instructors . The instructors are really thorough and make sure you learn everything down to the T . I want to give a special shout out to Vinny and Edgar , they really took their time out for me and made sure I learned everything I needed to know to learn my maneuvers ! Also , Quincey , Kenny , both jimmys , bill and mark ! They’re the best, they really break everything down for you so you can know what it takes to pass your road test at the dmv . If I could give this school 10 stars I would ! Thanks for the tips and leadership everyone provided ! If You want your cdl with a guarantee go to MIKES DRIVING !

Negative experience: DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THEIR CDL SCHOOL. Trucks are garbage. They take you on the road 1 weeks before your test

Fantastic experience: Excellent driving school! I used them back in 2007 for my 6 hours driving course and just completed there CDL A course and passed on my first test date. John and Dan are great in the classroom and there instructors Kenny, Mark, Jim and Jimmy are great out on the yard. A lot of knowledgeable people to insure you learn everything you need to pass and become professional drivers. Highly recommend! Thank you guys for everything

I had struggled to pass my road test twice before, but when I came to Mike's everyone was friendly and boosted my confidence incredibly, special mention to Jill she is amazing and I can't praise her enough, she helped me perfect the areas I was stuggling in such as k turns, parallel parking and etc. She's a wonderful instructor and I highly recommend her - my lessons and road test with her went like a breeze. They definitely teach you everything you need to know and if you dont understand something or are having trouble they will take their time to help you until you get it!! All the instructors are great especially Lee and Kenny! John also is great! Have nothing bad to say and a great experience! Went for my class A. Would definitely recommend going if you want to get your CDL!

Paying options are convenient and flexible. Jamie and her mother,who were in the office, were very sweet and helpful. My instructor, Sam, was also an outstanding teacher. Fantastic experience: Great place to learn to drive. The instructors are knowledgable, you get a lot of seat time in the truck, and the camaraderie in the yard is great! Just remember the two rules, 1) PTFA 2) If you can’t follow rule #1, STFU!

Negative experience: My experience with Mike's CDL driving school is not a good one. I had certain life situations where I cannot make my Classes and made me choose to take my road test when i never took the damn truck out of a yard. They never taught me to down and or upshift a tractor trailer but they wanted me to risk the public life and take a test i clearly wasn't ready for or stay home. Thats what i did i stayed home. These trucks are not toys to be played with. I don't know how this is good business practices when you send someone who endangers the public with a 80,000 TRACTOR TRAILER. I couldn't live with myself if i had hurt someone. I did no take that chance to test and hurt someone. They waited till they got the last dollars for my county traing program and bounced me right on my butt. I know one thing karma go around and they wronged me big time once they had their money. Karma go around guys. I hope you guys get to this review that is along time in the making. I was a very sour person over all this but i have moved on and started looking for other schools. I would like to say the instructor in the yard was fantastic with me. The school as a whole wasn't. I am going to get my class A even though u guys road. Lines and not enough trucks and u guys act like your @#$& dont stink. My instructor in the yard you were the best and god bless u for all u taught me. The rest of u u know where u can go. I REALLY HOPE THE PEOPLE AT MIKES READ THIS.

Fantastic experience: A real good class to take if you want to get your CDL'S and know how to drive really well. Prior to my first day of class I can admit that I was completely intimidated by the BIG rig! After the first day of being taught the very basics from all the instructors, I felt so confident in myself that I would be one of the best drivers in Jersey! I can't say enough about the instructors at Mikes Driving School. They were all patient, understanding, and very knowledgeable. If you don't consider signing up for Mikes to get ANY kind of drivers license, then your making a BIG mistake! Thanks to Mikes Driving School I'm a CDL driver!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about Mike's Driving School. I just completed the CDL course and also tested for the passenger endorsement along with forklift certification. Mike is always friendly and helpful when you come into the office. John and Dan run the CDL side of the of things and everything they do is professional and supportive to help you to get ready for your CDL test. All of the instructors were great and had plenty of knowledge to share. I will send anybody that I know to Mike's.

Fantastic experience: I can only say great things about Mikes driving school. Whenever I had a question about anything, my phone calls were answered and explained with quick and personal attention.all of the instructors were patient and made wonderful! I have to say a special thanks a paticular driving teacher mark...he was able to teach my daughter to have confidence in herself and pass this test with out a problem. She didn't think she would pass until she met mark, and he went out of his way to make it his personal mission that she did. His lesson will far exceed driving school,and I can't thank him enough! Marks manner of teaching was different from the others and she connected immediately! Thanks to mikes driving school for making this stressful time a positive experience!
