Fantastic experience: We had an excellent experience for my daughter. The in-class during summer break was fun and interactive. She really enjoyed it, and even learned how to check her oil and change tires. Then her hours in the car were fun. She just got her limited license on first try passed everything. Now just on to get her 60 hours. I recommend Greenbriar to everyone.

Fantastic experience: The Greenbriar Driving Academy is the best driving school in Winston Salem. Nathan Bagg is friendly, patient, knowledgeable and great at giving students clues as to how to make driving maneuvers. He prepared my friend Gary Williams so well that he was able to get his license on the first try. Heather was really good at accommodating him in scheduling lessons. Nathan and Heather run a great business and it was a pleasure to work with them.

Fantastic experience: We just had our second child complete Greenbrier Driving Academy classroom and in car training. Both of our girls have had excellent experiences and have been well prepared to test take at the DMV. They both recall information from class and in car that is helpful and proving to turn them into good drivers. Fantastic experience: I would recommend Greenbriar Driving Academy to anyone who is learning to drive. Their program is thorough and designed so that the new driver has experienced different traffic situations and is confident when they are ready to drive with their permit. I cannot say enough good things about Heather and Nathan. They are professional, patient and both know how to communicate and work well with teenagers!! My daughter loved going to class and her in-car instruction, and we really saw her driving skills improve. It was a great experience for her.

Negative experience: Wish I could give a good review here, as the actual instruction wasn't bad, but as an older customer, I can only complain about the feeling of being disregarded in favor of younger school aged students. I was forced to wait most of the summer for any instruction at all, as they were busy with students, and then couldn't even book time in the fall. I finally gave up and found other avenues for training. They'll take your money, but its clear who is a priority and who isn't to them. Find a school that value every customer, regardless of age.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Greenbriar. They are very professional and stayed in communication through the entire process. My daughter was able to complete the classroom and driving portion quickly. We will be using them in the future for our other children.

Fantastic experience: This is the best driving academy in Winston-Salem! I never took a driving course while I was in high school and after graduating college, I thought it was time for me to get my driver’s license. I took my first lesson in March of this year and Mr. Bob (no longer works there ☹️) was very professional and down to earth since I was a first time driver and made me start getting comfortable driving throughout town and I took another lesson a month later with Mr. Nathan, who taught me how to change lanes and enter the highway for the first time was such an exciting and new learning experience that helped me gain confidence for me as a driver. After every lesson I had, Heather would call me a day after on getting feedback and she was so nice and professional on the phone. Now, I finally got my driver’s license this month after a few months of practicing what I learned on taking lessons! If anyone is looking to take their first steps to getting behind the wheel no matter what age, this academy is the one for YOU!

Fantastic experience: The best driving school out there in my opinion...very professional....they put you at ease all while building your confidence as well as driving skills...I had never drove and I’m 43 years old...mr Nathan took his time with me...the whole experience was top notch....I would definitely recommend this driving school hands down....

Fantastic experience: From the very beginning I was impressed by Greenbriar Driving Academy, they are so professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. What really impressed me and, made me extremely happy, was when my son told me that he enjoyed every driving instructor he had; he felt at ease and the drivers were patient with him and "really" cool. For my teenage son to say that...spoke volumes to me. I will always recommend Greenbriar and when my youngest son starts this process, we'll be right back. Nothing quite compares to the safety I felt with knowing my son was in good hands. Thankful for their wonderful team.

Our youngest took their class and 6 hours of driving—and passed her permit test the first time. Our oldest went to a different drivers ed company, let me just say that we wish we had taken him to Greenbriar also!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Greenbriar Driving Academy Heather did a excellent job on the virtual class my son learned so much he had never driven a car before so he was a little nervous but Heather and Joe made him feel comfortable they both were so patient and kind. Fantastic experience: I just finished taking two adult in-car driving classes with Heather and Nathan. They were both great teachers. I took my first class with Heather and she was extremely patient and helped me feel comfortable with driving in more traffic than I’m used to and taught me things that would help me pass the dmv driving test. I took my second class with Nathan and he had a lot of trust in me and made me confident to drive on the interstate and areas I was not as familiar with. Both instructors were very professional yet personable, and that helped me feel super confident in being able to become a great drive with more practice and experience. I would highly recommend Greenbriar to anyone who wants to learn the basics, develop and/or improve their driving skills, wants to gain more confidence on the road, and of course, eventually get their license. 5/5 stars! :)

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Greenbriar Driving Academy for any future driver! Heather and Nathan adapted with the times and taught an excellent online, virtual Driver’s Ed class: Summer 2020! Even more importantly, they treat their drivers as if they were their own. They give drivers confidence and independence (with guidance) on the road while comforting parents (as needed) when students “take the wheel for the first time.” Greenbriar Driving Academy is extremely professional in every way and attentive to detail- my daughter has met all her requirements and is ready to get her permit on her 15th birthday! Fantastic experience: I found Greenbriar through a search for adult driving lessons and decided to give them a try! I had taken driver's education as a teen but never ended up driving due to severe anxiety problems-- I was 28 when I found Greenbriar. I was blown away by the service, attention, patience, and training given by Heather! She made me feel completely comfortable and (slowly but surely) confident behind the wheel. She took extra time to walk me through things that were difficult for me, gave me tips on my driving test, and let me learn at my own pace. Greenbriar's online booking was SUPER simple and I was able to communicate over email and text regarding my lessons. I also used their car for my driving exam at the DMV. I met with Heather a couple of times a month (the sessions are 90 minutes) for a few months-- I work full-time AND I'm in graduate school, so it was nice that Greenbriar could work with my full schedule. Thanks to Heather I got my license on my first attempt, and just bought my first car! No more driving anxiety either. :) I would recommend Greenbriar's instructors to anyone (adult and teen) wanting help to feeling confident driving, to anyone with driving anxiety, or to new drivers without any experience!

Fantastic experience: Getting my license would not be possible without the classes I took with Heather. She is very patient and does not give up with her students (in this case with me). If you are a foreign that is trying to get a driver license, this is the best option.

Fantastic experience: Greenbriar Driving Academy was a wonderful experience for our son. He received such personal attention both in class and during the actual driving experience. He also received opportunities (special lesson showing the effects of driving while impaired, etc) that my older son who took a public driving class did not receive. Nathan and Heather are patient, thorough, relaxed, and kind. A perfect pair to teach driving skills to a somewhat nervous teen boy!

Fantastic experience: I am adult student driver. zero driving experience before. Heather picked me up driving on time she is very punctual and patient for adult learners. I feel very confortable driving with her, I used your car for my lessons they have their car equipped with brake and it made me feel calmer. No other academy helped me for my Basic English, but they accepted me and I am grateful for helping me.

Fantastic experience: My 15-yr old daughter took the 1-week driver training class at Greenbriar Driving Academy two weeks ago and got her permit today! She is really excited and drove 50 miles in the city and on highway today! The owner and instructor Nathan and Heather are extremely kind and patient teachers, and both took my daughter for road practice last week. I am very glad to have signed up my daughter at Greenbriar because I can tell that she is very well prepared by the Greenbriar Academy in both driving knowledge and practical driving tips. They somewhat have different teaching styles, but they were both awesome. They are very personable and patient individuals. Fantastic experience: I just got my driving license this week!!! Great thanks to Nathan!!! I come from another country and had no driving experience both in my home country and in US. I was super nervous whenever driving on the road, but Nathan is very professional and patient, and that helps me build my confidence up. He also pulled out his notebook and drew a graph to help me understand mirrors usage and blind spots and parking. If you get freaking out when driving, do not know how to use brake and gas properly, and are nervous about switching lanes just like me, schedule an appointment with them and see how it goes! :D

He made sure that I was a defensive driver and that I am completely aware of my surroundings that ultimately led to me being successful in getting my driver's license. Fantastic experience: I've recently visited Greenbriar Driving Academy, and the office is amazing. The office and classroom is located on the 4th floor which has great views from the many windows found in the room. It really gives it a nice ambiance while learning during class. Greenbriar Driving Academy I found was very clean and very well run. I would not hesitate in recommending this school to anyone wishing to learn how to drive.
