Fantastic experience: Anthony was an incredible driving instructor. I can't recommend him enough. He was really knowledgeable, clear, calm, considerate and friendly. His lessons were so helpful and he really improved my driving skills so that I could be a confident and safe driver.

Positive experience: I had a good experience in my first class with Michael, so I booked a package of three 1-hour classes. The system only lets you schedule one. Once I took the class, I expected some follow-up on scheduling the next, but I haven't heard anything, so I called myself with no response. I left my information in a voicemail, never heard back. I've been calling unsuccessfully for a while now and can't get in touch. If it seems like too good of a deal, it probably is! Edit: After leaving this review, I heard back about scheduling the rest of my lessons.

Negative experience: The driver instructor was very rude and made degrading comments. Would not recommend. This is not spam. Charles Smith's teaching skills are awful and he does not deserve to teach. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Negative experience: Anthony skeete was not professional at all making stops along the way , flirting with females at red lights and have the nerve to tell im not watching the road smh. Overall the process was easy going just wouldn't recommend the driver

Negative experience: I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Charles Smith from CAS Driving School. His behavior and teaching methods raised significant concerns regarding safety and professionalism. Unfortunately, Charles cannot be trusted driving his own car, let alone teaching others how to drive. He is rude and yells often. Charles might have been a good instructor back in his prime, but he is now too old to be teaching others how to drive effectively and safely. In sum, Charles as a driver is a potential hazard for pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. As you can see from reading other reviews, Charles is often late to appointments and spends most of it on his phone instead. My last appointment with Charles was a 2-hour driving instruction appointment to be conducted in the area where the DMV conducts road tests. For at least half that time Charles was either texting others, making/taking phone calls, or handling payroll for his employees on the phone. Charles wears these in-ear headphones and sometimes takes the left one off, so you cannot quite tell whether he is speaking to you or on the phone chatting with someone else. At an intersection where I had a red light, Charles yelled, "GO!". I proceeded to hit the gas and almost got into an accident. Turns out he had just received a phone call and was saying "Go!" to the person on the other end of the line. Charles cannot be trusted to teach you how to drive properly. Charles's instructions were often contradictory, and his lack of attention made it challenging to learn effectively. His frequent phone usage during lessons felt disrespectful and unprofessional, leaving me to figure out many aspects of driving on my own. In conclusion, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Charles Smith as a driving instructor. His inattentiveness and lack of proper guidance made the learning process frustrating and unsafe. I will be looking elsewhere for proper instruction.

Fantastic experience: Took driving lessons and road skills test with CAS, it’s easy to book time via the app. Don’t hesitate to call them if you need to move an appointment or would like to find a possible late booking and they sometimes can accommodate. I’d like to particularly call out and thank MM. Morrison and Smith for helping me with the lessons, and Ms. Arica for finding me bookings in a busy calendar!

Fantastic experience: My experience with CAS was seamless and yielded the intended result! Michael, my instructor, was so patient, taught me clean driving habits from the get-go, and offered words of encouragement all throughout. Booking classes was always easy — the operators were pleasant and provided detailed information. Highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Charles Smith. He let me take the lead and stop to ask questions and was wonderful to talk to. Definitely make sure to ask questions directly because that is how I was able to address specific things I was struggling with. Also, I would schedule all of your lessons in advance; he's a wonderful teacher so hard to book. I scheduled lessons one at a time and it sometimes meant i had multiple weeks between lessons. Pick one time weekly/bi-weekly and stick to it. Huge Recommendation from me! Took lessons for about 2 months 1x a week and got my license.

Fantastic experience: After not driving for years, I decided to take refresher lessons. Delonte has been a helpful and patient instructor. I already feel comfortable driving again.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Melvin Lee is a five star instructor. He's a very detail instructor he gets straight to the point and gives clear instructions. He makes his instructions very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I just passed the road test at first attempt with the help of CAS driving school. I had classes with most of the teachers and they are all great, I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this company. I had a lesson with the owner, Charles Smith, which was a horrible experience. First, he was late, and instead of teaching, he acted more like a backseat driver, not making me feel comfortable behind the wheel. His critiques contradicted what I had learned from previous lessons with this company. As I tried to adjust to his teaching method, if you want to call it that, and keep focus on the road, he made it extremely difficult. At one point during the lesson, he grabbed the wheel because he assumed I wouldn’t make a turn when I was about to. He then abruptly stopped my lesson and said we were done. Charles told me that he didn’t care that I had paid for a lesson and he would not continue. Charles is arrogant and completely unprofessional, claiming he has 20+ years of experience but acting like an immature child. This was a complete waste of time and money.

Negative experience: Just witnessed one of their cars making a lane change by blipping their turn signal once and immediately changing lanes right into my lane really close to my car, maybe five feet. A bit later this same car changed lanes without signaling at all. To top it off it sped up to run a yellow light. It's not open today, so it wasn't a student driver. What do they teach their students?

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. I never like to leave bad reviews, but this driving school was terrible! Between the ending of lessons early to driving up and down the same few streets, it was the biggest waste of money ever. The instructor would literally grab the wheel as I was driving, which is dangerous and is not allowing me to learn.I asked to learn how to park, and the owner told me that he wouldn’t teach me. If I could go to a different driving school, I would. I was laughed at for not signing up for a 5th lesson, and told that “I would see why” in the future. After that comment, I definitely wouldn't spend a dime more here. Is that how you treat students/customers? I don’t know how this business is still running.

Fantastic experience: I knew left lane driving beforehand but I took 2 lessons with James and did a 45 minute practice session with Mr. Smith before the test. I got my driving license without a problem and Mr. Smit was particularly very nice and we chatted while we were practicing. Also, the lady on the phone support was very helpful in helping me book. Definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of contacting them.

Fantastic experience: I took classes with Charles Smith and Anthony Skeete. You'd be lucky to take classes with either but here are reviews on both instructors: Charles Smith: I was lucky enough to take classes with Charles Smith. He was a fantastic teacher who I highly recommend. Mr. Smith's instruction is calm, kind and backed by years and years of experience (many of them at the DMV). I strongly recommend you take classes with him, especially if you're just starting. Anthony Skeete: Mr. Skeete is a great instructor. His ability to notice things that could cause you to fail the test and professionally correct them is extremely helpful. He's also prompt and an overall pleasure to interact with.

Fantastic experience: Last January, I signed up for a package of 6 lessons with Elaine as a licensed adult driver who felt anxious about city driving, highway driving, parallel parking — you name it. I am so grateful I did that because Elaine helped me feel more confident on the road. We covered a lot of ground (figuratively and literally) in those 6 lessons together, which spanned from January to April of 2022. Between those lessons and an additional 2-hour highway lesson with her in May, I now feel much more comfortable behind the wheel. If you’re in need of some driving practice after living in the city for so long, I would highly recommend her!

Negative experience: I was recommended this place by a family me ever and I regret it all the time. One of the male instructors was so impatient and getting frustrated with me when I’m completely new to driving, I then had a panic attack because of the rushing of our lessons and me not learning anything. I also paid for 2 lessons for the same week and only got one lesson so they took my money and didn’t refund it AT ALL- I felt like I got scammed. The only thing I like about this so called driving school is the female instructor, I forgot her name but she taught me and was there for me all the way and so understanding. The others instructors can go be rude and disrespectful somewhere else, not coming there anymore, one star.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience I had with CAS. Mr.Smith is very knowledgeable, encouraging and wise. I learned not only driving lessons but also life lessons with Mr.Smith in a short time of encounter. They provide pick up at your address as well, I wish I knew this company earlier. CAS driving school is definitely my No.1 recommended driving company.

Fantastic experience: Elaine Butler was a wonderful teacher. Patient, kind, explains well, tailors lessons to what you need. I especially recommend lessons with Elaine if you are nervous or anxious about driving, or an adult learner.

Fantastic experience: At age 40, I needed relearn how to drive. Andre and Elaine were amazing in guiding me through the basics of safe city and highway driving and instilling confidence. It’s been a few years and I still dislike driving BUT I can do everything I need to, including driving overseas and several out of state moves. I can’t recommend them more highly for nervous adult drivers and refresher courses.

Fantastic experience: I called to get information about the services and spoke with Ms Howard who was very helpful and courteous over the phone. Loved her professionalism.

Negative experience: A lot of people seem to have a great experience with this school but I didn't, so I might have been out of luck or had a bad day. I bought a third party road test and it was not a great experience. At first I told him that I was nervous but he kept saying things that made me more nervous. During parallel parking I managed to put the car in the space and ligned it up, but he said I was too far from the curb. I literally just followed the steps and did exactly what I practiced with the instructor. I was inside the spot just fine, it was not like my car was twisted in the middle of the road or that I hit the barrels. He didn't even let me finish, put on park and opened the door. Told me to get out and try again, when I was going out the space there was a car coming through the gate and If I didn't back up in the space the car would literally hit me. He counted it as a second try, even due to the situation I was put in. At third try I was already nervous and so frustrated with the situation. He told me to go closer to the barrels to get closer to the curb, then I did and then he said I was almost going to hit it. Very confusing instructions and criticizing the way I do to know if my wheel is straight or not, which is not wrong or illegal it is just the way that works for me so I can keep track if my wheel is straight or not after turning it all the way. Things like that just make you feel frustrated. I am not going to do my second test with them again by any means, that was a very frustating situation that I don't wanna go through ever again. Knowing that you have the skills and that you put a lot of work and practiced a lot to just be failed like that is really frustrating.

Fantastic experience: Best ever third party I took my road test with CAS Driving School, and it was a great experience. I was nervous because I failed previously. But he made me feel comfortable. I greatly appreciate his ability to put me at ease during my Road test. I passed Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience learning to drive with Mr. Andre Cheek at CAS. Had never gotten my license and finally decided to get it many years later - Mr. Cheek made the learning experience really comfortable and focused on getting me good at all the necessary skills to be a good driver. Ended up passing my road test in DC easily thanks to his instruction and feel very comfortable on the road. Mr. Cheek was flexible about appointment times, was on time for all my appointments, and was a fun and pleasant guy to talk with during my lessons. Very much recommended.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Elaine Butler is an AMAZING driving instructor!!! My daughter had lessons with Ms. Elaine from January to May 2021. My daughter passed her road test on the first try. Ms. Elaine was so patient and provided great tips. She built my daughter's confidence behind the wheel. I highly recommend Ms. Elaine and CAS Driving School for teens learning to drive.

Negative experience: I did not like my instructor. This was my first time driving on the road and Mr. Charles Smith did not make the environment calm and welcoming. Additionally, he constantly told me everything that I am during wrong with little description on how to do it correctly. On top of all that he came 16 minutes late and did not introduce hisself when I came to the car. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I would not recommend him as an instructor to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Elaine Butler for the Road test Prep. Her tips and prep for the road test helped me a lot. She ensured that I was as confident and comfortable with the area. She communicated with me well and answer all of my questions. I passed my road test because of it. Although, many of us may know how to drive it is helpful to understand those small errors we seem to forget on the road that can cause a fail. I will highly recommend the prep if you’re not feeling too confident or need a refresher.

Fantastic experience: Two weeks ago, I took the driving test with Dr. Smith and he is the BEST!!! I forgot my permit 20 minutes before my test and he was so understanding. My mom and I went home to get it and he was still willing to give me the test. I was really nervous, but he made it easier for me by just making the car a comfortable environment. I am so happy that I passed and that Dr. Smith was the person who gave me the test. If you want a GREAT driving test and experience, then PLEASE go to CAS Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I hired cas Driving School to give my son in the Marines 10 hours of refresher driving in the city before turning him loose in his new Camaro that I co-signed for. I dealt exclusively with mr. Smith and in every phone conversation he was very polite an accommodating. This driving school was a perfect match for my son situation as he was very busy and they would drive across town and pick him up from the barracks and take him on his lessons. My son has nothing but respect for mr. Smith and says he's a funny guy and they would cut up and have a good old time while doing his driving lessons. Mr. Smith work with me on payments for the lessons... Kind of pay as you go, and you can ask mr. Smith if he gives military discounts if you have a son or daughter stationed out there in the Marines. I like you reading this check reviews on a company before I employ their services and I was a little skeptical going into it but now I'm of the opinion anyone who has left a bad review for mr. Smith or the cas Driving School is probably a driver you would not want to meet out on the road. This was overall a great experience for me and my son. thank you mr. Smith

Negative experience: DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE I had 10 hours driving lessons with another school. I booked an appointment road test with this company today. I failed the test. It’s nothing to say if I am really bad at driving. The examiner was late for 30mins. My appointment was 1pm and he came 1:28pm. He is an old man and kind of rude. He talked on his phone all the time. We started the test and he failed me after 2 mins of driving test. Stoped on crosswalk but I don’t think I did. He made a drama as it’s a big fault. He didn’t want to complete my test. He failed me immediately. Probably he has another appointment and he was late from the first appointment that’s why. He didn’t tell me that 1 fault can caused my failure. He asked me for another appointment next week which is I have to pay $80 again. I paid $80 for a late examiner and rude. Really disappointed with this company.

Unfortunately I didn't pass however Mr.Smith was very professional and he gave me some good pointers on how to better prepare myself for the road test. I'll most likely reschedule another exam with them once I get more practice, specifically with my turning .

Fantastic experience: I went with CAS Driving School for my third party road test. I failed the first time with another school and decided to go with CAS this time around. I'm glad I did, this school is amazing. Mr. Smith was awesome just for the short time I spent with him, I learned a lot. He is very patient and gives you good tips to enhance your driving skills. We drove around talked and next thing I know we were back at Brentwood. I passed my road test and I'm so glad I went with CAS for my third party road test. Thank you Mr. Smith.

Negative experience: I have never met such an impolite person in my life. I took my road test with a Mr. Smith today and found the experience to be uncomfortable and rushed. I arrived to the site a half hour early and was in front of entrance door fifteen minutes early. When I arrived, I called to inform him of my location so that he would know where I was and what I looked like. Upon first meeting him, I introduced myself and held out my hand to shake his. He not only did NOT introduce himself, but he didn't shake my hand or even say Hello. He looked at me briefly asked if I had my permit and after I handed it to him walked right pass me into the dmv. When the test begun he remained the same, overbearing and bordering on quite rude. I am less upset about failing as I am about the way I was treated. I paid my fee with no issues and zero attitude. I wish my tester had shown more manners. I will NEVER test with this school again, and after reading some of the other reviews I would not recommend this school to anyone with determined, polite, and promw attitude.
