Our comment from DrivingSchools.Directory about 1st Skills Driving & Riding School:

1st Skills Driving & Riding School offers a range of driving education services that cater to both new drivers and those seeking to enhance their riding skills. The school is located in a bustling area, which can make finding parking a bit challenging, as noted by several customers. However, many users appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the instructors, particularly highlighting Paul and Brett for their supportive teaching methods that make students feel comfortable, especially those who struggle with test anxiety.

Positive feedback includes:

  • The scheduling process is generally smooth and accommodating.
  • Instructors are described as polite, patient, and effective in communicating necessary driving techniques.
  • Affordable pricing options are available, making it a popular choice among families.
  • Many students report passing their tests on the first attempt due to the thorough preparation.

On the downside, some users have reported instances of unprofessional behavior and communication issues, particularly regarding appointment scheduling and directions to the school. A few students felt that the instructors were rude or dismissive, which can be concerning in such a high-stress environment.

Overall, while there are mixed reviews, the positive experiences seem to outweigh the negatives, making 1st Skills Driving & Riding School a notable option for driving education.

Negative experience: They are horrible they can down the fact that their instructors are having people stopped in the middle of traffic trying to cause a traffic jam or an accident and then it's like oh there's two instructors in there and everything this isn't the first time I've almost been hit because of this company is really sad did these children who are supposed to be learning how to drive aren't being allowed that because his company won't teach them

Fantastic experience: Last week I took driving test here. It was amazing! The instructions on how to find the school and where to park were sent to me in advance, so I looked it up on google maps and didn’t have any issues. My test instructor was Paul. After I got in the vehicle I was very scared and nervous as it was my 1st driving test. But Paul did everything he could to make me comfortable and more relaxed. I passed the test on the 1st try and got my license the same day in DMV. The best advice I got before the test and would like to pass it along is: the test is not to see how good of a driver you are, but to see how careful and cautious you are. Just obey traffic rules, be patient, don’t rush and you will be fine! Amazing place, I am grateful for my experience. Thank you!

Dearest Zlata;
First off, thank you for taking the time to give us your review! We deeply appreciate it. It seems these days that those who do not take their own responsibility are quick to criticize. It's refreshing to hear from someone who was prepared and did a great job. The results of the test is not dependent on the one recording the events, but on the one who performs according to standards. Thank you for complimenting my efforts to make the situation as comfortable as possible, We recognize this can be a very stressful experience. I do try my best to make it as comfortable an experience as possible, Again, we thank you for taking your time to let others read about your experience. There are many more positive than negative, but the voices always tend to come more from the less pleased. Thank You!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. The previous reviews speak volumes as to the character and integrity of the place. Customer service is awful. The driving instructor makes you feel uncomfortable and is very rude. He could care less about making you a better driver or helping with the experience... he's just in it to rob you of your money and then waste time on Google defending himself in countless bad reviews. Go elsewhere.

Well,, speaking of Rude! I am not sure how anybody was rude to you. You contacted us for a drive test appointment, and the appointment was scheduled. That was pretty brief contact. The girls are usually polite and helpful. As far as instruction, you didn't come to us for instruction. The state does not allow instruction during a 'Drive Test'. It is true that most people are nervous during a test. We understand this. You were greeted with a hello, and asked how you are doing. You received patient instructions about the test. I do my best to create as comfortable an environment as possible. You did receive instruction after the test however. I took the time to patiently explain why you did not pass. This is not a requirement to this degree. If I was rude I would have just said you did not pass and asked you to be on your way. However, I take the time to help you be more successful on your retest. Just to show you how little worried we are about 'robbing' you, we promise not to take anymore of your money. Thank You.

OK, this one actually digs into my craw a little bit. Let me set the scenario for you. Seven days before your appointment I fell and broke my ankle. I was advised medically to not put weight or strain for two weeks. However, I knew that people had waited quite a while for their appointments. I did of course cancel the appointments the day of and two days after, but I did my best to honor the appointments beginning this week. We came up with an arrangement where I would stay out in the vehicle and the girls in the office would do the paperwork for me and send the clients to the car. These appointments,, as many people know, only have a five minute window. If you cannot make it within five minutes of your appointment time, typically we are unable to accommodate. The office reached out to me with your situation and I answered that I would give you an additional 5 minutes since I had the assistance of the office. One of the ladies you called rude never even had an opportunity to say anything to you. The woman who greeted you was polite and accommodating until your were abrasive about us not being able to complete your appointment when surpassing the 10 minutes we allowed you. We all have commitments we need to be responsible for. You are not aware of the other responsibilities we have to meet as well. The office ran up against responsibilities they needed to complete and acted on the requests I gave them. I appreciate their efforts to help me service these appointments. You stated in the office that you made this appointment two months in advance. I can't understand how this was not enough time to make sure you would be in the correct location at the required time. We cannot accommodate you not being in the correct location.

Negative experience: Rudest place ever, doesn't have proper address and directions nor proper signage on the front of the business yet wants to hold clients accountable for not being able to find the business. Can absolutely see why that man is so grouchy he clearly doesn't have any pleasure in life and has nothing better to do then cause others trouble.

Well I of course have to challenge the 'rudest place ever' comment. We are often thanked for being helpful and polite. People do sometimes tend to be aggravated when they find themselves caught in a lack of planning and place the blame on others. Appointments are usually made well before the actual test date. The address is clearly on the front and rear of the building. Many these days depend on Google type mapping services at the last minute to pinpoint the exact location they need to be. Unfortunately downtown these services can be inaccurate and confusing. As far as signage, the owner of the building does not allow us signage on the front of the building. However, when making the appointment, and in the confirmation text just before the appointment, you are given the address of the building and instructed to park in the large public parking lot behind the building off of Colorado Ave. On the rear of the building we have a very large banner right next to the entry door, and as previously stated the address is clearly on front and rear of building. As far as my 'pleasure in life' I whole heartedly disagree. I am happily married, have raised happy children, have been blessed with many lovely grandchildren, and find pleasure in all of them. I enjoy photography, 4 wheeling in a built Jeep, riding my motorcycles which I have done my entire life, and just truly enjoy the blessing of every day and all the people the Lord puts in my life. I actually find it bewildering that you would make such an presumptuous statement. I truly hope your life is as enjoyable. God Bless.

Negative experience: Called while standing outside building. 9:33. Appt at 9:30. It is not labeled on Main street side. Lady told me to get in my car and go park on Colorado, told me the building was grey with orange trim. It is on main Street. On Colorado it's white. I was two doors down, payed the meter. Could've walked in on time. Instead she directed me to re park my car in front of a grey building in the back. I was 10. Min late and they did not see me. Needed the appt as my documents expired in three days from that day. As a paying customer, building needs labeled. Receptionist should have directed me to walk two doors down from where I was standing, cold! As I told her I was in front of fairway building ! And or maybe understanding for the place being so hard to find. Left me up front until 10:19 to see if a 10 cancelled. Never did come talk to me. I just left! The reviews speak for themselves. Receptionist alone was very rude every time I called and reviews say the same. Very unhelpful and just rude, the reason for missed appt and missed money! Not good for business! Very uncomfortable and rude! Was not a place I will ever go again, take my children or recommend. As I work downtown on main Street this place is a disappointment the whole way around! Update,I got a response 4 months later, with nothing but excuses but sorry for my experience. Unacceptable!

I am sorry for your experience. The phones do get busy and can create a lot of confusion especially when time is tight and running out. We unfortunately have no control over when a person decides to depart for their appointment. As far as marking. Our building is painted on the front by Next Home Realty and we are not allowed to have anything on the front. We try to make it very clear that it is orange and white. On the rear where you are asked to park there is a very large banner with our name and very clearly a driving school. We also make it very clear that the address is 619 Main St. Unfortunately we only have a 5 minute window between appointments. It is very clearly stated. If someone is late we do at times ask them if they would like to wait in the lobby to see if another appointment becomes available. As you can see by waiting, there is no time between appointments. If one had become available you would have been let know right away. I am truly sorry that you experience was less than ideal.

Fantastic experience: My Familia has used 1st Skills 3 times now. My son did his written permit test, his driving Test and my husband did a driving Test here. It's $150 cheaper for the driving Test than it is at Western Slope Driving Institute. It was $50 here vs. $200 at WSDI. You can use your own insured vehicle OR for an additional $15 fee you can use a vehicle provided to you, no insurance necessary. Highly recommend for all your driving-related needs.

Negative experience: They laughed at my daughter as she was leaving. Amazingly rude and hurtful.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend them. Had no issues getting an appointment scheduled and the person who was on the phone was very polite. I've been here a few times with friends and my daughter and every single time was great. Everyone was friendly and professional. My daughter struggles with test anxiety and said she was very comfortable here and was at ease with the staff. I cannot praise them enough for how great they were. He patiently answered all of our questions and was a pleasure. In reference to other reviews regarding the parking, yes it's a bit confusing and often hard to find a place to park (it's a busy and congested part of town), however; he was very polite in explaining to us where we should park. And it does explain if the website where to park. Please keep in mind that they are taking unlicensed and often not very experienced drivers on a public road in vehicles that weigh a lot, it's a serious situation and should be treated that way. I appreciate that they take it serious here, but with a great demeanor. Great job guys. I'll be sending everyone I know your way. Ps. He has the best rates also

Negative experience: The experience was absolutely horrible. We called a month in advance. And scheduled for an appointment at 2. We called and they changed our schedule without notifying us to 11 o’clock. Then when I called to ask I got a very rude comment and it was very unprofessional. My best advice would be to fire the person who answers the phone. They are very impolite, unprofessional and very bad costumer service. I would recommend any other place to go to. This place in my opinion would be horrible for anyone to go to. I would rather wait the other wait times. Then to go to this place.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience with the 6 hours of supervised drive time, they took my teen through some driving scenarios we hadn't encountered during our many other hours together (like turning left onto a one-way street), and my teen really appreciated it. He enjoyed his instructor and said he was very pleasant. Scheduling was easy over the phone, but do plan well in advance as things can book out a ways due to demand. While in general the process of permitting and licensing is a pain, and as a first-timer I had lots of questions, I really appreciated the help we got from 1st Skills!

Negative experience: The lady on the phone was very helpful. The guy that gave my son his test, no clue because he didn’t even introduce himself, made me feel super uncomfortable. We had to move our car and I asked him if I needed to come and he rudely said yeah I can’t do it for you, I just figured they would leave from the spot that we parked at. Once we got to the parking spot he wanted us in he just stood there and after awhile was finally like “you’re done now.” So I was like do I just go back in or what. I felt uncomfortable with him being in the car with my son alone. Super unprofessional and very uncomfortable. I wish I would have read the reviews. Agree they are just there to make you test more than once. UPDATE per your comment no you made me feel very uncomfortable, you are not to assume when I feel comfortable or uncomfortable! Once I spoke with another school you are in the wrong! Again rude and uncomfortable period! Reviews don't lie!

Paul. We try to make it clear where to park in the text confirming your appointment, however it is common for people to park in the wrong lot. I actually pointed it out politely and asked you to assist your son in the moving the car to the correct location. I did explain to you that I am not insured to be in the car for any other driving beside the test itself and that your son being on a permit is not allowed to move it himself. You actually stated you understood that. When the vehicle was in the correct lot you were not exiting the vehicle. You are correct, my exact words were, "You are done now." However I was not rude, said it with a smile and a laugh in a joking manner. You stated you were completely confused about what was happening and I explained again that I am only covered to be in the car during the test. Everything actually seemed fine until you needed to make a retake appointment. At that point you actually made a disappointed remark that it, "it is pretty bad that we don't have appointments set aside for this situation." I replied, "We treat all calls the same ma'am. When they call for an appointment we give the next available." I am sure you may have the same feeling if you realized we had sooner appointments available but only gave them to retakes. This would be very difficult to manage. Again, I appreciate your input, I am sorry the appointment result was not what was expected, however, I believe we were professional and polite.

Negative experience: The pepole over the phone are super unhelpful I showed up at the time my test was scheduled (at least what I was told) and they told me I was 8 minutes late and therefore had to reschedule and wait 20 days to get it rescheduled. So my mom a called and talked to the lady and then the guy came in 20 minutes late. And they claimed they send me a text yesterday confirming the appt. I received no such text. Super unprofessional go anywhere else.

Thank you for your comments. The receptionist's on the phone are actually very polite. They try there best to weather some disappointment by callers because we know scheduling is far in the future. This is just reality, lead time is long. However, I do not expect our receptionists to tolerate a student yelling at them over the phone. We make thirty minute appointments for what usually takes 25 minutes if all goes well. We could make them longer, but then so would be your lead time. It is very clearly stated in the invoice, and confirmation text, and my website that after 5 minutes your appointment is voided. It is not fair to the following appointments. I left the office 11 minutes after your scheduled time. I then received a call from my wife very upset and in tears over the way she had been treated by you over the phone. She told me that your Mom was in the office. I returned to the office to address your behavior with you Mom. I also learned that Mom had opened my office door and entered on her own into my empty office. When I got back to the office this was all denied and the behavior was like all was fine. At this point it was explained that we would not be offering a new appointment based on prior events.

We deeply apologize for your experience. The phones are very often overwhelmed. We try to explain that leaving a message is the best way to receive a return call. Continuing to call with no message is very difficult and at times impossible to respond to. We also are met with a lot of voicemails that are 'not setup', of 'this mailbox is full'. We usually do a very good job of returning all voicemails. Thank You.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place for driving tests they failed both of my boys for not stopping at a stop sign which I know they always stop and secondly had an appointment at 11:30 and 12:00 and were not even seen till almost 1 o'clock. They are very rude and only want the money they do not care about the kids feelings. Took them the next day to a different driving school and they said they passed with flying colors.

Fantastic experience: Paul Turner was an excellent instructor. When testing me he remained relaxed and patient as well as being open to discussion. When I received my passing score he made sure to explain to me the mistakes I made. 10/10 would highly recommend to anybody looking to earn their drivers license!

Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment for 1:00pm specifically so I could give my friend a ride to work; they sent me a text that morning saying I was scheduled for 12:30pm. I get there at 12:30 and back door is locked I walked around front and couldn’t find a sign for them so I called to double check I was at the right area. Receptionist was pretty rude about it. I get inside and the reception office is closed from 12 to 1 and there isn’t anyone in their office. I call again and she proceeds to tell me that they always take lunches at 12:30 so he would never schedule me at 1. She went on in circles about how they wouldn’t do that and I was wrong I finally just laughed and said okay I guess I’m wrong can I reschedule. And she huffed and said it wouldn’t be for another 3 weeks. Don’t waste your time making an appointment here. They wouldn’t schedule me 30 minutes into their lunch but scheduled me at lunch time and don’t see an issue??

Fantastic experience: I had an AMAZING time with the motorcycle safety class put on by this school. The instructor, Chris was incredible. The owner, Vicki went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get fit into a class THE NEXT DAY! Would recommend to anyone looking to start their journey to motorcycle riding.

Negative experience: I wrote a review on here a while back and it’s nowhere to be found, they must have deleted it because it’s the truth. I would save your money and go somewhere else to have your child entrusted with better driver educators. When my sister went in for her driving test, they did not have her on the books even though the appointment was made months in advance, and who did they blame? My mom and sister. The guy giving the test said something like “you’re wasting my lunch time.” They failed my sister and provided the lamest excuses for her failure. And when my mom tried to understand why he failed her, he just laughed at them and made them both feel so belittled. He made remarks on the kind of card she was paying with and their completely valid confusion and frustration. I went here too and my experience was fine, but I was penalized on my test for stupid things as well, like not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and when I asked which one (because I would have remembered if my stop wasn’t complete at a stop sign), he gave me a very vague answer and kind of avoided the question. Your child deserves a safe and nonjudgmental environment when it comes to driving, especially when it comes to the big test. There are definitely more reliable places to go to in this town. Save your money and your child’s well being. :)

Tyler Bowker 2 years ago

Negative experience: These guys are a joke there's a reason there test is $50 compared to everyone else in town. You can have over 15 years of driving history of no moving violations on record. They will look for the smallest violation and tell you, you failed come back and re-test for another $50. Just throwing it out there so other people don't waist there time thinking it's a better price.

Fantastic experience: Brett Hilling was the BEST driving tester. He was friendly and kind, he made us feel comfortable and welcome. He was easygoing and relaxed. Negative experience: Worst driving instructor i've ever seen. Told my brand new eighteen year old driver that speed limit signs is only a recommendation. You're never allowed to do 25 in a 25 You're only allowed to do 18 max. Failed him took his money. Just for my son to go to a new school the next day amd pass with flying colors. Once confronted about his action called us a lair. I would highly recommend the driving school on Patterson.

1st Skills Driving & Riding School
1st Skills Driving & Riding School

I take my time to try to explain to drivers what caused them to not pass the driving test. I took a good three to four minutes with your son explaining the issues. Never would I say you are not 'allowed' to drive the speed limit. However, there are situations when the speed limit may be too high to be safe. This was just general knowledge to help him be a safer driver. The test actually included speed violations above the posted speed limit. At one point I was required to slow the vehicle to approach a traffic control safely. Once a tester has to take control of the vehicle the test is not successful. I also explained turns that were approached much to quickly that forced the turn to be very wide and into the oncoming lane. It would be easier for me to just explain that the test was not successful and move onto the next. However, I like to give the driver a better chance to be successful at their next attempt. Obviously this was the case. Also, the word 'liar' was never used in our last conversation. The girl at the desk next to me confirmed this. I always appreciate the input.

Dear Jayden;
It is true that I don't always introduce myself. However, I do go to lengths to describe the test, give insight and clues, and try to make the walk to the car as relaxing as I can. Your review does not mention which location you were tested from, but I will take all responsibility and assume it was with me in GJ. I take personally the description of rude. We do gat very busy with these tests and have short time to get them accomplished but I try VERY hard not to be 'rude'. I admit at times I could be more personable and the busy day at times gets in the way. However, I try very hard not to be 'rude'. I am sorry for your experience and will take your comments to heart.

Negative experience: As a customer service oriented business it is critical to possess a level of friendliness and positivity, specifically when working with young drivers who are understandably nervous. We didn't experience that professionalism at this business. No personal introduction from the instructor, harsh demeanor, and no encouragement. If you have a young driver take them to a place that will interact with them on an individual level in a manner that promotes growth. A kind demeanor and positive word goes a long way.

1st Skills Driving & Riding School
1st Skills Driving & Riding School

My deepest apologies if we truly did not make you feel comfortable. You do not mention which service you received from us. If it was driving instruction time I know our instructors are complimented all the time for their interactions with the students. Although I will admit anyone can have an off day. If this was the case I apologize for them. If it was a Road Test the service would have been from myself (Paul) or Brett depending on location. These can feel very moved along. We have barely enough time to get them completed in the allotted time. The state testing department recently added to test requirements and the length of the test. Although we are very busy with these tests I know we try our best to make them as comfortable as possible. I personally go to lengths to explain the test, give clues, and talk to the testee on our walk to the car. It is true that I usually don't introduce myself and will try harder with this. I always explain that being relaxed makes the test much easier and that being nervous can get in the way. Again, I apologize for your experience and will keep this note in my mind for better performance in the future.

Positive experience: Minor details: communication with parents = subpar. Very little communication, causing extraordinary miscommunication, leading to an interview gone array. Phoned 17 times. Having my calls returned once "I don't know why you keep calling, we have nothing to discuss." For the driving test, very little details on where to park prior to test. First test, driver not stopping for an adequate amount of time. Second test, driver stopping too long at stop signs. Overall, the driving test is subjective, very subjective. Most things are whether the company is private or corporate.

1st Skills Driving & Riding School
1st Skills Driving & Riding School

Dear Katie;
If this truly was our business than I personally apologize for your experience. I am not sure which service you are speaking about, but from sounds of your comments I am thinking it was probably Instructor drive times with your teen. I do know for a fact that when a parent does come in with the student, which does not always happen, our instructors definitely take the time to discuss that drive time and observations with the student and parent. I have been present many times with all instructors during these interactions. We want your teen to be absolutely safe as possible and help your driving interactions with them to be useful as well. As far as calling, we return every call. We do have challenges with voicemails not being setup and voicemail boxes being full when we try to return calls, but they do all get returned. What make me think this review may not be directed at our company is the statement you mentioned about the returned call. I know from my heart that neither my wife or our part time receptionist would make that comment. We take all your questions seriously and do our best to make sure you have all the information necessary. We would never make a comment like you describe. We are always happy to discuss your questions. I am present during a lot of the calls making appointments and know for a fact the the caller is always told to park in the public lot behind our building and bring in permit, registration, and insurance to the appointment. This is not always heard by the caller, but I guarantee is pointed out. Now,,, as far as the test. Stopping is one of the largest failure points on the drive test. Although the amount of time stopped is not part of the test, completely stopping and position is. The test is not subjective at all and is guided completely by the state and clearly described in the driver handbook. Every driver is held to the same standards and given equal opportunity to be successful or not. As far as company ownership, my wife and I own this business and assure you we have no other 'corporate' affiliations. We try our best to be personal, informative, and most of all fair.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. First, finding this place for my appointment was a pain as it was not made clear anywhere that it was an office in a shared building (125, and using it’s former business name which only served to confuse and delay) and upon calling to ask it’s whereabouts was met with voicemail. The owner/instructor Paul was very calm and concise, however, as mentioned in another review he seems to profile and wasn’t very clear in certain direction. There were moments during my test where instruction did not come early enough or that I needed clarification on to make safe adjustments to follow through. I felt very demeaned by the attitude of my instructor, especially when asking for clarification on his direction before, during, and after the test. I did appreciate the pointers and advice on my performance at the end, but will not be returning to retest here.

Hi Jordan;
Finding us can be a challenge, I agree. We do have a large banner at the parking area, but getting there can be confusing. We do always state the address but have been told mapping services do not handle it properly. Easiest to use good old fashioned find the address. As far as old name, this isn't present anywhere any longer and hasn't been for a while. We were part of In & Out Driving School in our beginning, but now everything shows our new logo and name, 1st Skills Driving & Riding School. I did read this 'profile' thing before. I am not sure what that means. It seems to insinuate that I treat people differently? I assure this is not the case. I of course am not able to speak to how people feel when they see me, but I do not feel I treat anyone any differently. I am sorry about the directions, and am usually complimented on sounding like Siri or Google, haha. I do understand that a road test is an extremely nervous time, especially with a stranger in the car with you grading you. I try me best. We are certainly apologize that you were so uncomfortable that you do not want to return. We are truly saddened by that. I will take your comments to heart. Thank You.

Fantastic experience: Took my Road Test here. Mr. Paul was very nice and very professional. He gave instructions way ahead of time for me (the driver) to have plenty of time to decide. He is very calm and gives a very clear instructions. And scheduling was so smooth. Will recommend this driving school to everyone!

I apologize for your experience. I am going to take responsibility and assume your test was in GJ. I am having trouble with understanding 'profiles' people. I try my best to be the same with every client. I cannot control how others perceive me, but I try my best to be welcoming. Again, I apologize.

Fantastic experience: I’m so impressed with this driving school! The instructors are friendly and put my student at ease during his drive times. They also put me on a waiting list for after school time slots to open up, and within 48 hours, they had texted me about openings. Also, they pick up your student from their school so drive time can start before 3:30! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My past experience on a bike was only as a passenger. Chris and Paul were very patient and very encouraging and not only work on my growing skill but my confidence as well as a newbie rider. Only being 5' tall was not easy riding on a little 250 but they worked with me and shared their tips and tricks for managing a bike bigger then me. I loved the class and the experience and recommend it to all skill levels.

Thank you for the compliments. Chris works very hard to make sure his students are learning. We have received many compliments on his patience and skills. I don't understand why they seem to make the bikes so tall these days. Sorry it was challenging. However, thank you for taking the time to give us such kind words. Hope your riding experience is still going well. Remember, rubber side down, shiny side up!

TAXI KASI 5 years ago

Negative experience: They wrote my daughter down for petty stuff like taking her down a street with no lines and telling her she didn't stay on her side and failed her probably so they could have another 55 dollars sorry I'm a single mom don't have 55 to spare!!

Taxi;
I apologize for the poor experience. The test however is mapped out, controlled, and heavily regulated by the state. We do all know that most neighborhood streets don't have center lines. However, lane position is a critical part of the test. We cover this very clearly in our drive time with instructors. I am sorry you would think we would intentionally not allow someone to pass. We all have families as well. We understand just as much as anyone how hard it is to hang on to a dollar. The state would surely be at our doorstep if they ever thought we behaved in such a manner. Again, I am sorry it didn't go well.

Fantastic experience: In and Out Driving School is amazing! They are nice and very organized. I called and they were able to get both of my sons in, in the same week one for a drivers license and one for his driving permit! It was so fast and easy I really appreciate what they do for our teenagers in the community! It definitely took a lot of weight off my shoulders by going through In and Out Driving School.

Positive experience: While most the actual test information could be easily learned on your own, In and Out provides you will much more then just test information, teaching you the basics of car mechanics, road laws, and in general much more information then is on the test, making sure that you are fully prepared for actual driving.

Fantastic experience: My daughter did the 4 hour driver awareness class. This was a great value to both of us, she received the education she needed to "hit the road" and I thought the cost was extremely reasonable, especially with being able to take the permit test without having to go to the DMV!! Only thing is that now I get to listen to her tell me everything I'm doing wrong!! GOOD JOB Paul and Vicky!!

Fantastic experience: This 4 hr. class helped fill in information I had not learned as well as refresh the information I had already studied. It was great to have already passed the written permit test before we headed to DMV. We were in and out with permit in hand in less than a half hour! In & Out staff was easy to work with as far as scheduling and payment. Thank you for a good experience!

Fantastic experience: Our teen son just took this course and learned a great deal. They also managed to keep his attention and keep him engaged which we felt was extremely important. I would highly recommend In & Out Driving School. The instructor was knowledgeable, nice, and related to the students really well. The class was relatively small and students felt comfortable asking questions. My son dreaded the long hours of this course but made it through just fine, did well on the preliminary quiz and feels very confident he'll do great on the test in a few days. As a parent, the co-ordinators were extremely professional and accommodating and made signing up and all the actual requirements very clear and easy (I paid on line). I felt very comfortable leaving my teen with them over 4 days. The facility was conveniently located in downtown Grand Junction and was very comfortable and clean. All was appreciated!
