Negative experience: Honestly I would give this place a 0 stars if I could. The test instructor is TERRIBLY rude. Not only are you rude for no reason but you’re also on the phone half of the test? Slow instructions on where to turn as well. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: One of the best schools to date great teachers and staff.

Negative experience: The driver coaches are very friendly. However, the lecturer of the Saturday class and their boss are both rude and mean. The cost is also higher than other driving schools. All in all, not recommended at all.

Negative experience: This business is not concerned about you passing your driving test. Truly, their objective is to make you come back and pay them more money for supplemental lessons. They are only after your money(I paid them a whopping total of 600$ for class, online test, driving practice, and one supplemental lesson). My driving practice instructor told me to use an extremely dangerous and obsolete driving technique called the cross-over method, which no sensible driver uses today. And they let an 88-year-old man give me their driving test, which is completely unfair when you consider the driving instruction he is providing. You have higher chances of passing the driving test at Nola Driving Institute like I did myself.

Fantastic experience: New Orleans safe Driving School is an exceptional school. The staff was very professional and accommodating to my schedule. Mr. Carney was very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and professional. I highly recommend this school. I was very pleased with their service.

Negative experience: Good driving school but not good enough for new orleans crazy drivers.

Fantastic experience: I'm incredibly grateful for my driving instructor, Richonda's exceptional guidance. Her patience, vast experience, and empathetic approach made the learning process smooth and enjoyable. She always considered things from my perspective and tailored the lessons to my progress, ensuring I felt comfortable and confident. Her soft-hearted nature and dedication to teaching allowed me to pass my road test with a high score on the first attempt. I can't thank her enough for her invaluable support and expertise. She's a remarkable instructor, and I feel fortunate to have learned from her.

Negative experience: Very late review. My instructor, a very old grumpy man which that I learned after is the owner, was very rude, had zero patience, yelling at all times and at some point he hit my arm aggressively. I must say that I wasn’t bad at all, maybe a little nervous because it was my first time driving in my entire life and New Orleans drivers can be very wild. I got 8 hours behind the wheel divided in 4 days, 2 hours each one. My last day his son picked me up and honestly, what a difference, I felt safe, confident, asked everything I couldn’t with the other man and he was very professional and nice. I passed the final test and got my driver’s license. But I won’t recommend this place to anyone new to driving, unless they make sure their instructors are qualified to treat every kind of people.

Negative experience: very rude and hang up in my face. They failed my GF out of spite. Do not recommend at all. beware of this company. they cant even give a reason why they failed her. Money hunger company !!!

Negative experience: Wish I can give zero star. I did everything right and they failed me anyway. I do not recommend this school at all. Money hungry company. They only after your money. They don’t help you at all. and good luck trying to get a refund for your wasted hours. They refused to give you a refund and I know I was played because they didn’t tell me why I failed my test. When I didn’t do nothing wrong. change a better place that actually care about teaching you to drive and giving you your license..not this money hungry company

Fantastic experience: Got my license in about a month when other schools said they would take 2 months minimum. Everyone I interacted with here was extremely friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Yvonne as well. She was a terrific road instructor.

Negative experience: I did not except for this driving school to be 3MONTHS for me to get a license… So unprofessional.. Me & my cousin went to 2 different schools at the same time and he completed his school time in 1 MONTH! i’m highly upset if i can get my money back i will !!! Definitely do not recommend.

Negative experience: It seems like not a single person at this school is on the same page, about anything. I didn't learn a single thing about driving here, but I passed the test, thankfully, to my dad who is a professional driver. A friend of mine also tried to take their driving test here a month or so ago and claimed they were incredibly unprofessional with her from the beginning, and I believer her. When it comes to the actual driving test... Two people told me the test is $25 another person said it was $20. They claim to be open Friday and Saturday to take the Test. This is a lie. I called for 4 weeks like clockwork to get a test because I made the mistake of inconveniencing them by showing up during office hours on a Friday. The Lady at the counter told me, "Oh we give the drivers test depending on if the instructors come in." It's been a painstakingly long process to get my license and I would advise anyone looking to take drivers ed to go ANYWHERE else. Literally anywhere else. 0/5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Trudy is a very good instructor. She is friendly during "Behind the wheel" classes.

Positive experience: Driving school done efficiently. This school works with your schedule and gets you in amd out. Mr. Piper was a phenomenal instructor who made me aware of all the little things that make a big impact on road with awareness and control. His drive with grace and with safe pace philosophy will be with me for a lifetime. Cost was a little high but you can use their vehicles so it wayy worth it.

Negative experience: New Orleans Safe Driving school should consider re-evaluating their employer Lionel Piper. Lionel is inconsiderate when it comes to the patience and understanding of first time drivers, as well as always making belittling and degrading comments about women. In every example, it's about what a woman can't do. I've heard him mentioning women throughout the whole driving and teaching experience. What drivers are here for, is to adapt and learn the correct skill of driving, NOT hear lessons about what he thinks or feels a woman is capable of. Please take it in consideration and stop brushing complaints of him because you need him as an employer., Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The course was comprehensive , the on road instruction given by Mr Parker were excellent , he was very attentive to my driving habits and gave me very good driving tips that I will remember for life. They scheduled my driving classes the first day I went in and within a week I had my license. I would highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: THE INSTRUCTOR I HAD WAS VERY INFORMATIONAL.....HE MADE SURE THAT I KNEW WHAT I WAS LEARNING...HE ANSWERED QUESTIONS..HE EXPLAINED EVERY ASPECT OF THE DRIVING COURSE...HE ALSO WENT OVER THE ANSWERS THAT I HAD TROUBLE WITH...VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!!

Positive experience: The entire experience was great. The instructor (Mr.Carney jr) who gave me the written test was good. Explained everything that was on the test and was very knowledgeable. My road instructor (Mr. Parker Sr) was very thorough at explaining the rules of the road, provided tips on what to do and what not to do and was very patient with me throught the entire driving process. My Road test instructor Mr. Carney Sr was nice and direct with instructions. Overall, I passed my drivers test. I would like to Thank the staff at New Orleans safe driving school for a wonderful experience. I recommend them to anyone who wants to obtain a drivers license.

Negative experience: Lady by herself coming down one-way street going wrong direction in New Orleans safe driving school car! She knew she was breaking the Law! Right next to the school! Yes she knew! SAD!!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Duplessie was wonderful at explaining the process to me and working around our crazy work/school schedules. The instructor was knowledgeable and friendly. Negative experience: a joke my I expected that my wife would need some more practice but she could even make a turn the only reason I am giving them one star is because goggle is making me

Negative experience: Went here with my BF to take his road skills test. The first problem came when the manager said we couldn't use the vehicle becAuse the break tag "expired" it wasn't! He read the break tag wrong. So my BF went ahead and took his test. Because I called the manager out on his mistake he purposely failed my BF after he told him which way to turn! He got in that lane to turn he changed his mind and told him no we making a right turn! If there was a zero rating I would give it! When you try to be supportive to black businesses that's what happens never again! I would never patrionize them again or recommend them to anyone! All they do is steal money! ✌️

Negative experience: Do not take a road test there! The tester was so picky and tricked you!

Fantastic experience: Love the teachers...theres 3 parts the written test, practice road test for 8 hours which equal up to 4 days than the official road test thats $40 i passed loved it first try with everything ☺Total was $440 well worth it
