The instructor JT was kind, professional, patient and explained everything with such detail and knowledge - when I wasn’t understanding something, he presented it a different way or tried to visualize it for me. Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience with Ranks Driving school. They are extremely professional and they teach you what you need to learn for the road test. JT is a fantastic teacher and is amazing at breaking down concepts and techniques that you need to know for not just the road test but driving in general. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs a school that is focused on teaching you how to be a confident and safe driver. I passed my road test because of how well they teach.

Fantastic experience: I purchased the 8 class package (plus 5hr course) and had a great experience. Starting out as a nervous driver, I was able to become more comfortable driving and passed my road test on the first try. Ranks is super accommodating with scheduling and I would 100% recommend for anyone in the Rockaway area!

Fantastic experience: My son just finished his lessons with Rank's and passed his road test on his first try. I would highly recommend them. They came to the house to pick him up for lessons and always arrived early. JT was great! My son felt like he learned so much and really appreciated his patience. They scheduled his road test for him and picked him up to take him to it. It was definitely worth the money spent! I'll definitely be using them again.

Fantastic experience: Ranks Driving School was a huge part in how I passed my road test, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.I'd want to thank Josh for organizing my driving lessons and road test, as well as JT and Randy for their help with my driving lessons; without them, I couldn't have passed my road test.The 12-lesson bundle was worth the money I paid for it.I didn't feel afraid and instead felt at ease.What I enjoy is that they offer helpful advice on how to ace your test, feel confident, and avoid feeling frightened.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Rank's Driving School. As a nervous driver and someone who has taken the road test and failed previously, I wanted to learn to drive well and be confident enough for the road test. JT was my driving instructor and he was absolutely amazing. He was patient and gave me all the right instructions to pass my exam and also prepare to drive in the future. I got the 12 lesson package and it was worth every penny. The instructors pick you up at your home and drop you off. It was very easy to schedule classes, with lots of availability. They also bring you to the test for a stress free day. JT also gave me insight into the examiners and their style which made me feel more comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this driving school! I passed the test on the first try after receiving lessons. Thank you so much, JT!!

Fantastic experience: I HIGHLY recommend Rank's Driving School! I want to give a big thank you to the company and to JT he was Amazing! I Paid for the 4-lesson package. I passed my test on 5/10/23! They may not be as cheap as other schools around but you get what you pay for! It was worth every penny paid! I was able to schedule according to my availability. They are so nice, and patient. You can tell they aren't in it just for the money but because they want to genuinely help you learn to drive. From the moment I messaged them for information until I got the email about me passing my test they have been nothing but kind. While driving they make you feel comfortable and when correcting or giving advice you DO NOT feel shamed or judged! Thank you again Rank's! If i could i would give them 1000 stars.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is awesome. I went to a different school 10 years ago with a grumpy instructor. Everything was a hassle, even booking the road test was annoying with how they did it. I ended up failing because I wasn’t taught things properly or easily. I didn’t bother doing the road test for a while, i felt very discouraged. HOWEVER I went to this driving school and everything was so easy breezy. Between josh booking everything so easily and quick, and JT being a great instructor, I finished this whole process in like 3 weeks… not even. I hadn’t driven in 10 years and within like 3 lessons I drove way better than I was ever taught. Took the test, passed, and boom. Definitely recommend this school and cant thank them enough! (Sorry for the long essay, I’m just really happy)

I passed my road test and the credit goes to this driving school and its instructor’s . Special thanks to instructor Josh, Delon, & Anthony for believing in me. I got to learn so much from each one of them. They all uplifted my confidence and gave me such amazing and knowledgeable driving lessons. Also, JT was such a calm and nice person he drove me to the road test site shared some amazing driving tips on the way & dropped me back home. You won’t regret coming here, so WORTH it!!! Negative experience: My lessons were spread throughout the month because of availability , Wouldn’t say I learned anything from this driving school after four lessons even the driving instructor told me he let a guy he picked up for the road test the same day get in the car and drive before his road test to get out the nerves but for me he didn’t even budge I’m like okay lol I think it’s better when someone of your race is teaching you because they won’t be nervous

Fantastic experience: Learning to drive has been one of my most difficult task to accomplish. However, Josh, at Ranks Driving School has been the most amazing teacher I've had. I went to a previous school and it was the most horrible experience but Josh help me forget about that because he is such an outstanding instructor. Negative experience: Site says they’re open but when I went there doors were locked. I called and was told no one was coming in until 3pm. Was also not able to schedule anything due to the fact no one was there and the person on the phone was just spitting prices at me! Very rude and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Rank's instructors were great! They were all very calm, their lessons were clear, and I learned a lot about safe driving. It was a lot easier to learn from a professional instructor than to learn from friends/family. The instructors always showed up on time and always behaved with the utmost professionalism. At the end of it, I passed my road test!

Fantastic experience: The instructor Darion was very helpful and patient with me while learning how to drive. Also this place is very reasonable with prices for lessons and very accomidating with the time of the lessons. On numerous occasions I had to reschedule last minute and it was never a issue. I definitely recommend this place if you want to pass and take Darion as a instructor.
