Fantastic experience: This is the third time we've used Drivers Ed Direct and I couldn't be more pleased. The instructors (particularly Jay!) are wonderful. They make deep relationships with the kids and continue to follow up with their former students. There is a feeling the kids have of safety as they practice, knowing that they're learning what they need to know in a supportive but excellent way. They know how to explain the things we all know, but have difficulty teaching, framing things in just the right way for the teen brain to understand. The office is incredibly responsive, helpful, and warm. For such an emotionally charged time for a parent, the fact that the entire experience is both full of detailed excellence and warm support is priceless.

Fantastic experience: I just had to take a moment to sing Jo’s praises—she’s officially the best driving teacher of all time! Seriously, Michael couldn’t have done it without her. Not only does Jo have the patience of a saint (a must when teaching Michael!), but her way of explaining things just clicks. She’s patient, encouraging, and somehow manages to make driving lessons fun (who knew that was possible?). Whether it was tackling tricky intersections or mastering the art of reversing without panic, Jo was there every step of the way, cheering Michael on and keeping things calm. If gold medals existed for driving instructors, Jo would have one hanging around her neck right now. She’s a total legend, and Michael is so lucky to have had her guidance. Big thanks to Jo for being the ultimate co-pilot!

Fantastic experience: We have now used Driver’s Ed Direct for 3 of our kids over the last 6 years. All the instructors are amazing, as is Eric the owner, but Jay has been the most incredible, patient, supportive and kind instructor. He’s truly a gem of a human being and can’t say enough of what a fabulous teacher he is! He’ll be teaching our 4th child in a few years too-wouldn’t use any company other than Driver’s Ed Direct, Eric and Jay!!! Thank you for everything!!

Fantastic experience: Driver's Ed Direct has remarkable staff and instructors! My daughter learned to drive in the first couple of lessons. The rest of her lessons were to polish driving skills and to build confidence. An evaluation of the student's strengths and weaknesses at the end of each lesson allows the student to better understand how to improve driving skills. Every instructor was patient and meticulous, while sharing their unique style in safe driving. The staff were very considerate in scheduling and accommodating requests, such as requests for SUV for the lessons. The mock driving tests to prepare for the DMV behind-the-wheel test during the last couple of lessons were very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Drivers Ed Direct. I had Tony for most of my lessons and he made driving very positive, comfortable, and fun. I learned a lot and he was very patient and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone! :)

Fantastic experience: DriversEdDirect has been really great to work with for my son. They do book out, but they do have a cancellation list and are very flexible and accommodating to schedules. They always got back to me within a day. The instructors were also great. They were calm, helpful and gave great feed back at the end of each lesson. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of working with Drivers Ed Direct for 5 of my children. I started working with them 11 years ago when my oldest child was 15 years old. They did such a great job that I remained a loyal customer for all of these years. Each of my kids learn a bit differently but Eric was amazing at making sure each of my kids needs were accommodated. His communication was excellent and his willingness to go out of his way to in help me work out scheduling conflicts was so helpful. I fully trusted Eric in his leadership, and all of the driving instructors who work with him that have worked with my kids over the past 11 years. Jay in particular was a godsend for my daughter who had a lot of anxiety about driving. All 5 of my kids were fully prepared to pass both the written test and the drivers test on the very first attempt! Those are incredible stats. Thank you Drivers Ed Direct for training my kids to be responsible and conscientious drivers. I can't recommend this company enough!

Fantastic experience: I've now had three teenagers learn to drive through Drivers Ed Direct. The business is exemplary in working with parents' and students' busy schedules to ensure timely and desirable lesson times. The instructors are very professional and made all three of my teenagers feel comfortable and competent behind the wheel.

Fantastic experience: Excellent training! We had three different instructors and all were courteous, kind, gracious and very patient. We had a 15 year old driver who had NO experience in driving. Each instructor took their time to make sure he was comfortable behind the wheel and passed the training after 3 lessons! We are so grateful and will recommend to all we know!

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend this driving program. I signed up for both the online and 10 hrs of behind the wheel training as there is a slight discount. I had to nag them to get their online learning done but they really enjoyed working with the driving instructors, particularly Tony. The only negative was that the behind the wheel lessons book up VERY quickly so schedule as soon as you can. The kids finally finished the online portion in late April 2022 and took their written tests in late June 2022. Study the CA driver’s handbook for the written test. I called to sign them up for the driving lessons but was only able to get the first lesson for one kid in late August. I was hoping for weekends when there’s less traffic but they ended up having to do lessons late afternoons and early evenings after school in the midst of the evening commute. They finally finished all 10 hrs in October. Loved that you have the choice of a Prius or a Hybrid SUV for lessons as my kids will be driving a SUV. Thank goodness for driving instructors because I can’t imagine having to teach them all the basics myself!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my second lesson with drivers ed (Had Eva and Harry). All I can say is THANK YOU! They did such an amazing job making me feel comfortable for my test. They went through everything throughly, I was nervous but now I feel ready! Thank you thank you!!

Negative experience: Literally takes months--MONTHS-- to get a two hour driving lesson. Book out all your driving lessons at once because if you tried to book a slot today the next available is JULY 29.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your driving instructors for such a great experience. I can see why you guys came highly recommended. The entire process was very easy and furthermore you kept us informed all the way though. Everyone was extremely friendly and responsive. Wanted to call out Sydney. She was fantastic yesterday! She was friendly, patient, and took time to provide my daughter with all the necessary details for her to pass the driving test. She was bummed that it was her last lesson with Sydney. Please know that my daughter really enjoyed her lesson yesterday.

Fantastic experience: My daughter used Drivers Ed Direct for her driving program from November 2033 - January 2023. Overall, they have a great online program for the permit testing that's modern and engaging. Their YouTube videos are excellent for test prep too. I worked with my daughter to review each chapter of the Online Permit preparation, and then as we were out driving each day we would discuss and point out examples of the things she was learning in each chapter. This really helped her to understand the concepts better since she didn't have the permit and wasn't able to drive yet. She passed the Permit test on the first try and felt very confident with the test. Then she began her driving lessons and absolutely loved her instructor Jo. We used her for all 3 driving lessons and it provided great continuity and they established a great relationship. My daughter was very well prepared for her Drivers Test and passed it on the first try. Drivers Ed Direct has a great program for teaching and it helps lead to success for the kids passing the lessons. The customer service and scheduling department are A+ to work with - they are so on top of things and organized. Even though they book up fast, they are great with reschedules and changes. Overall we have no complaints and highly recommend them to all our friends. I also want to add - the key to success is parent involvement in this process. Driving is the most important thing our kids will do and its a lifelong journey so the more we can teach and get involved in daily driving with them, they better they will be at driving and getting comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Drivers Ed Direct goes above and beyond for their clients. My son was late to the game for his driving lessons but was so eager to take his test. Even though most of the time I tried to schedule him they were all booked up. They always found him an appointment and did their best to accommodate pick up and drop off locations so he could get his hours in. His last lesson was the day before his test and they brought the certificate with them so we didn’t have to wait for it in the mail! He only missed 3 on his test thanks to the instruction he received from his driving instructors! They practiced the route with him and made him feel so comfortable! If I had more kids I would definitely use them again!

From the schedulers to the representatives who call to confirm to the instructors themselves, they are absolutely the best. Everyone I encountered has been very professional and friendly. The instructors are very prompt. Because my daughter had a lot of driving experience prior to scheduling the training, she was able to accelerate to the more advanced driving skills quicker. They provided my daughter great feedback and critiques on her training. They provided great tips on the to-dos, what not to do, and tips on taking the test. My daughter had Jamie as an instructor a few times, and she was THE BEST! I am extremely pleased with Drivers Ed. They are worth the money and will highly recommend them to anyone. I'll be calling them again for my son next year.

Positive experience: I had overall a very good experience at this driving school. My instructors were very nice and knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable during the driving lessons. My one problem was not with the company in general, but today I took my driving test and I failed because of a bike lane violation. I was traveling in the right lane of traffic the same lane where you would turn right from and when I got over to turn I did not check my blindspot for bikers in the bike lane. I never remember hearing anything about checking my blindspot for bikers before getting over. I honestly don't remember hearing anything about bikers. I was told during my last lesson to remember to check my blindspot on the right which I did correctly on my test, but I did not know it was for bikers if you are getting over into the bike lane to turn. I feel like that is something that should be clarified as I don't remember hearing anything about it and I didn't pass because of it.
