Negative experience: Not sure if they are still in Business. Called over half a dozen times. No answer or response

Fantastic experience: I recently just got my CDL A through Bert’s and all I can say is the treatment I received was amazing and an awesome experience. Andy was very about making my schedule work! Also they’re 1on1 with their classes which made me feel like I was their individual project. They gave me everything I needed for the test and reassurance when ever I had questions and stayed very patient with me. Kevin was my trainer and he was a very understanding and helpful when it came to what to learn and how to remember the information that I was given! He’s a very great teacher and knows what he’s doing and helped me learn more of how to manipulate the trailer. Over time they became family and we could joke around and have fun while learning to get the job done the right way that being backing maneuvers or the pre trip or on the road. My experience here was fun and felt so achieving! If you put in 100% they’ll put in 200% they care about their students!

Positive experience: This place was great, very thorough. Everyone here wants to make sure you have what it takes to pass your pre-trip inspection, skills tests, and road test. By having you come for an evaluation, they can help point out anything you might be missing, so you can be fully prepared when you return for the exam. Dan was an excellent examiner!

Negative experience: Save your money and go elsewhere not professional they just want your money and want everything done there way very rude instructors and they will try to make you fail in every way possible so they can get more out of you dont recommend this school to anyone

Fantastic experience: They have great an excellent trainers. They do not rush you out there for testing. They make sure you are ready school itself is amazing I'm going to all my friends about it The team in its school would definitely make you believe when things are not going as planned

Fantastic experience: Andrew is awesome and helped me out a lot more than I can thank him hes very good with scheduling and working with you. Kevin and Angie are hands down the best instructors out there they will teach you what you need to know. I'm glad I went there for my training and testing they taught me everything i needed to know for my CDL A and what i like about them the most is they are not after your your money and wont even suggest you to test unless the all collectively think you will pass with no issues.and Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with these guys! The training they provided me with was exactly what was needed to pass my exam ON THE FIRST TRY!!! Kevin is such a solid trainer and goes above and beyond to get you to where you need to be. Andrew is amazing with scheduling and communication, these guys are very flexible and are more than willing to work with you to flow with your schedule. I’m very fortunate to have been right around the corner from these guys and very thankful for this professional training school. Highly recommend these guys/gals for your future testing

Fantastic experience: Talk about professionalism. Andrew is the man. Darren was my tester. I felt he could tell I was super nervous, we had some small talk and man was it relaxing. They’re great people. You would be crazy not to go to BERTS for your CDL training and test.

Fantastic experience: I had a great overall experience. Andrew was on task with scheduling. He uses text at times and saves your number, so he knows who's calling. He always communicated clearly what could be done when and why with scheduling. Angie was on point with training. She worked with what I already knew and helped fill in the blanks. She was very knowledgeable and an effective communicator. Dan was a well-polished tester. He mentioned one of his tasks is to keep the person being tested calm, and without going into details, lol, he did so a couple of times. ELDT is costly, especially if you have to pay for ALL the training and aren't having supplemental training through the place you're going to work for, as I did... I'm glad I didn't have to pay for how much time I would have needed... And I'm grateful that Bert's can do as little or as much as you need to assist you in getting certified. I'd definitely recommend Bert's.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and great learning quality. Andrew is very friendly and professional he did everything he can to help. My instructor Angie was wonderful and very helpful. I’m very grateful for the education I received here. I really recommend this school!

Negative experience: Good people and not bad prices didn’t pass my first protest. I was ready to take it to days later a week later guess they lost an examiner took a month and a half for me to get back in there. I lost few of my knowledge to the pre-test within that time. Wanna get back in there and practice more on my pretest hopefully it doesn’t take another month or two to get back in there.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to have a great stress-free learning experience, I highly recommend Berts. They were recommended to me by my coworkers, and I drove an hour out of my way just every day and it was well worth it. The trainers Kevin and Angie are the BEST!!! They had extreme patience with me during all of our sessions and they really want to see you succeed as long as you give them your best. It is important you show up focused, open minded and eager to learn. They are also long-time experienced drivers who have been doing this for decades and are extremely knowledgeable. Andrew who handles all the scheduling and paperwork is awesome and so accommodating. He made sure I got in enough practice and always was willing to go above and beyond for me. All the testers were very kind and explained instructions in a very clear articulate way. I truly cannot stress enough how wonderful Berts made this experience for me. If you want your CDL you would be doing yourself a disservice by not going to Berts Testing & Training Services.

Fantastic experience: Definitely my first recommendation for anyone looking to get their CDL. They went well out of their way to accommodate me before my permit expired. Very friendly staff (Instructor could have been a little less monotone but after as many tests as he's done I understand lol). The lady I did 1hr instruction with was awesome! Overall a great experience and my first choice for anyone. I wish all customer service was as personal and professional as this place displays. My thanks to the staff.

Fantastic experience: I spent some time at berts. Goin for my cdl a. Happy I went. Good experience. Good staff. Only concentrated on what I needed. 4 training sessions, and a test. An im good to go! I would recommend berts for any individual looking to join the cdl world.

Fantastic experience: Im a business owner that took myself and 2 employees to Berts for CDL pre trip training and testing. I called a few other places first and Berts was the only place that understands that when your running a business you cant just close the business to do this training! Charlotte and Andrew were extremely accommodating in this regard. They offer online courses for the bookwork part which nobody else did, they gave us weekend training in person which nobody else did! These people are professional and know how to train. If you do your part and put in the time and work you will pass if you dont you won't pass ill say that. We all passed because we took it serious . We will use Berts in the future for new employee training

Negative experience: Don’t go here, they will fail you the first 2-3 times just to get your money, then try to sell you courses, failed me because I didn’t use the right vocabulary in my pre trip inspection twice, I been around trucks and working with trucks my whole life but apparently I don’t know much.

Very patient. I can't forget about Pat he was so great to train with my brother and I really enjoyed the whole process. Everyone was always professional and on task. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great school !!!

Fantastic experience: The crew at Bert's is awesome. The first time I went there I had no experience driving a truck with air breaks. First they helped me get my CDL B and then they helped me get my CDL A. They do an amazing job. I highly recommend Bert's if your looking to get a CDL license.

Fantastic experience: Not to get all religious but I do have to 1st Thank God for Bert's and All 4 Carrie, Dan, Charlotte and of course my instructor Ron. (real quick background) I come from Nursing over 14 yrs to having no idea about vehicles let alone getting a class A license. These 4 people all collectively, kept me motivated and didn't aloud me to give up My advice, Master your Pre-Trip and trust the process, if they can get me together( only knowing how to add washer fluid ) One more very important detail ONE ON ONE TRAINING

Fantastic experience: Great place to get your training and road test. Ron can seem aggressive but he is pointing you in the right direction needed. Dan did my road test and he doesn't make you feel nervous or rushed at all. If you know everything needed and show the skills your test should be start to finish 1.5 - 2 hours.

Negative experience: Rude testers who want their pre trip done in their order, extremely intricate detail and won't let you bring your own check list which the CDL manual says you're allowed to. I've been to multiple road tests for different drivers and one of my most competent and well prepared students failed his test on his pre trip on the notion of "not going into enough detail on each item". Once they fail you they'll then start their multiple sales pitches on trying to sell you their own course and their truck rental. Sure, could just be speculation, but it seems like they're very particular and strict on at least the first test as a means to get more money out of you. I'd recommend you look elsewhere for your CDL test needs.

If your determine to drive truck as a profession my advise is to do the work assignments and devote urself to the class... I also had the privilege on meeting Carrie and Dan, which they also were very proffesional...

Positive experience: Took my road test today with Dan. He was very professional and explained all procedure expected in a calm through manner. The fee was very reasonable and the office manager was great, going out of her way to help us with a insurance issue.

Negative experience: Bad driver school in Michigan

Negative experience: I probably would have bought a training session in addition to the road test, if you hadn't gave me attitude for being inexperienced. As it stands I canceled both and went somewhere else. I don't know what I'm doing that's why I asked questions.

Fantastic experience: Great place to learn and test out. Both proctors are patient and knowledgeable. The entire process is very low stress, even the road test was relatively stress free.

Fantastic experience: George was extremely helpful. Highly recommend taking the training prior to testing.

Negative experience: Money grubbers. My "1 hour class" that, I paid for, lasted 15 minutes. The instructor ran thru my training and also let another person, who failed before me, to tag along during my training (very unprofessional). I completed the air brakes test correctly but was told that "I didn't do it in the order that they wanted me to" so they failed me. Also, over the phone the instructor kept telling me to take the class and do the road test on a separate day or "I will fail". I don't think they ever intended on passing me to begin with because they charge you again for a retest. They just wanted more money. Multiple people that I work with have gone to Bert's because of the convenience of location. All of these people have gone thru the same thing. Some failed 2 or 3 times until they paid Bert's to take the "full class", which they claim "tought them nothing they didn't already know", but miraculously they finally passed. Bert's just wants your money. Bert's doesn't care about training you, they don't have pride in what they do. It's painfully obvious by their shotty office conditions, shotty test driving lot, poor filing systems and the sub-par professionalism of their instructors. Ultimately, I ended up paying $210 to take a class that was inadiquate and a test that seemed like the odds were against me before I even showed up. The last straw was them trying to charge me an additional $50 because I had to cancel my test due to work (what do you know, they want more money without even doing anything for me). I do NOT recommend Bert's testing. I will be going somewhere else for my CDL B.

Fantastic experience: Testing was great instructions were clear. If you have an appointment be sure to be on time. Better yet come early. Being late screws up all the appointments that come later in the day.

Fantastic experience: I had Dan the first time, I failed! Dan, was very helpful in telling me where I went wrong! I came back the following week and had George, he himself was awesome, and yes I passed! These guys tell it like it is....... so if your soft and can’t take consecutive criticism, stay on the porch! I Strongly recommend this group for your testing need’s and strongly recommend this group for your CDL testing needs!!

Fantastic experience: Mr. Daniel was patient, understanding & very helpful. Dan didn't sugarcoat a thing. He made sure when I was doing something wrong, he made it well known & gave praise for everything I did right to spark up my confidence more & more. After he gave me my certificate, he gave me extra tips before I started driving alone on the road. Would definitely recommend him to others. Thank you, Dan. Your company is a blessing to others & myself.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this place to anyone who's looking to take they road test. The are friendly, welcoming and professional. Before anything takes place, they explain it to you. You can understand what they're saying and they are not aggressive. I'll never forget my taking my road test with them. I can't recall her name but she was GREAT . It's been years, but I still remember because she was very nice. Now that my daughter is driving and she's still learning, where she gets her permit she going here. I took her to one place and it was horrible, I regret it. She's working on getting​ her permit, again because it expired and off to BERT'S it is.
