A A2Z Defensive Driving & DUI Academy

Negative experience: I paid for my 2 teenagers to attend online courses as well as professional driving instruction on Oct 31, 2023 . I received email notification a few days before the class, stating that it was cancelled. I then demanded a refund since this was the best time frame with our schedule. I was told that they were awaiting their license renewal but would be contact with me to begin the refund. Fast forward 3 months..I have not received a refund. The website has been taken down. The office building has been vacated. I still have not received a refund! Text messages delivered but not read. I have been totally ghosted. I am just asking for my money back!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend AA2Z Driving Academy to any future driver. Hats off to Mr. Mike Cortigine. He was an excellent driving instructor for both my wife and I. He was very experienced, patient and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Dee is a wonderful teacher. The class was very informative and entertaining. Take plenty of notes that you can use during the test. Ms.Dee allows 10 minute breaks every hour and a 1 hr lunch.

Negative experience: I went to the driver defense class at this facility and it was okay. I did learn quite a few important lessons and how to stay safe on the road. The staff Ms. Dee was great but would ramble and the class would just sit there waiting for her to get back to the lesson. Also I liked how accessible the class was through an online format but there was too many obstacles for example the glare on the computer and the loss of connection. I just feel like these obstacles has continuously made it harder to focus and get in with the program. This has also obstructed my focus to learn and made class go on over the time causing us to miss some important key points for the exam. Also the instruction would always have people coming to into the class disturbing our learning environment. As well as sitting on her phone wasting everyone else’s time. Over all it wasn’t too bad it’s just all of these technical difficulties have wasted all of our time, knowing that we have other things we have to do during the day after committing 6 hours of our life and the $95 we pay to this program, definitely won’t be doing a class with them until they fix this internet and accessibility issue. This is my reason for the two star rating.

Positive experience: Ms. D is a very good instructor and she made being in a 6 hour class east and more enjoyable than I would’ve imagined. Thank you a2z and thank you Ms. D for being an informative and enjoyable instructor!

Negative experience: The school itself isn't horrible, they kinda do what they're supposed to do. They're driving instructors on the other hand are extremely unreliable, almost never respond to calls in a timely manner and constantly want to change prearranged dates. They know that they have you because they're the only ones that the school uses and take full advantage of that fact. I spent 4 months trying to get one to respond and when they finally did I had to schedule 3 months out and now it's being changed constantly. It's absolutely ridiculous. 0 out of 10 would not recommend!

Negative experience: I’d look elsewhere for DUI classes if I were you. Was on last day of class & 10 minutes prior to closing out the instructor, Ms. Tarsha calls me frustrated saying “you have some nerve to give me a 7 on my evaluation.” If this doesn’t show you how full of yourself & arrogant you are nothing will. The fact that you consider a 7 that bad when you deserved to get a lower score for assuming & stating “it APPEARS you weren’t paying attention.” & “you’re not talking or participating.” Well appearances can be deceiving especially while having a virtual class, not to mention some people are less social than others & you don’t know what that person could be going through like a loss in the family or if they have a mental health issue. Like major depression, ADHD or an antisocial disorder. Before judging people & jumping to conclusions, learn how to ask questions and empathize. It’s called giving people the benefit of the doubt, the doubt being you don’t know this person or what they’re going through at the moment. I was always on time & met every contractual stipulation. I honestly wanted to give her lower than a 7 but I definitely learned how to have self-control & empathy while growing up, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt! I even said she was kind & soft spoken in my evaluation but seems as though she was unsatisfied because of a number. I passed the test with a 100 & still wasn’t enough for her. On the bright side, Ms. Jill was super helpful at getting me access to the class when I couldn’t receive the email.

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough positive things about this driving school . Waited a little later in life to learn to drive and had a lot of trepidation and anxiety about learning to . Took both the virtual classes and the in person lessons . Ronetta Gardner - the instructor for the classroom section was kind and courteous - informative too . For my in person driving lessons I had Jane Lynes as my driving instructor and I cannot recommend her enough ! She was patient and reassuring and helped me build my confidence behind the wheel tremendously . If you’re a first time driver and need to learn or just hone your driving skills - this is the place to go.

They understand my language skills( my english is so trouble) and my thankful to Don ( my TPT examiner). Thank you so much and i got only one time driving test and i was passed.
