Fantastic experience: This school and the experience were amazing! Mr. Reyna is an outstanding teacher, and Roberto and Hugo are top-notch instructors. They helped me earn my CDL, and I’ll forever be grateful because it’s a whole new beginning for me—and there’s definitely money to be made in the trucking industry! If you’re planning to attend, show up with a positive attitude, pay attention, and truly show that you’re ready to learn and earn that CDL. Don't come in with a negative mindset—it’ll just waste everyone’s time. These instructors are great people, and they will go above and beyond to help you succeed all the way to the finish line. I highly recommend picking up the phone, calling the office, and getting the info you need to join a class. The office staff is really friendly and will help answer any questions you might have. Negative experience: I decided to reach out for information on driving classes. I decided to speak in Spanish because logically it is the language with which I like to express myself the most, for them it was an offense that I did that and the woman who answered me was super rude and focused on the fact that I should speak English instead of giving me the information that needed. So if they call, don't even think about speaking in Spanish because they will discriminate against you. I'm glad I didn't take service at that driving school with racist staff.

Fantastic experience: The best and perfect place to take the test. The examiner was super cool. I highly recommend to take test at ABC driving school. I was pretty much nervous when I did the parallel parking at the first but the test went well.

Fantastic experience: We scheduled a driving test prior to our trip to Austin and my son took the driving test successfully today. Good experience.

Negative experience: Very bare minimum place. If they don’t think you are getting it or that you aren’t getting it fast enough, they will just discard you and take your money. Pretty disgusting.

Fantastic experience: My driving test was done today morning. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment. The total amount I paid was 95$. I paid 25$ online during booking thru phone but the 70$ should be paid in cash.You need to bring cash on the test day. I was really nervous! But i kept on smiling. My examiner was Mr. Hugo Reyna. He was so cool during the test. The first thing i did was parallel parking. I was being honest with him, i told him im not good at it. Parallel parking is 9 points according to him. If you don’t want to do it that’s fine but your score will automatically be deducted. So I tried my ultimate best to do it! He just smiled at me when it was done. Then we proceed to the road. He will instruct you where to go. Pay attention on the road sings, traffic lights, mirrors and the speed. Make sure to stop on the school zone! The previous guy who did it was failed because of that. When we arrived back on the office i did the reverse parking and then the evaluation if you pass or fail. And i did it!! I passed! Thank you Hugo and the staff of ABC!

Negative experience: Don't waste you time here for their CDL program. You waste a month of your life and literally learn the bare minimum. In the month I spent here, I received a total of 3 hours of road time 3 days before my driving exam. We did spend 2-3 hours in the trucks reversing and offsetting but for month long course for 5 thousand dollars this hardly seems adequate. At the end they refused to help remove the manual restriction after making me wait for a month the explanation given was due to lack of "experience". I went to a different school and got the restriction removed the following week. I confronted Mr. Reyna over this and a man well past his 50's expressed the emotional discipline of a child.

Fantastic experience: Incredible experience from start to finish. I cannot thank the team at ABC Driving School enough for their efforts. As a legal immigrant it was my last To-Do to complete the process of living in a new country and to accept a job offer. They were kind, went beyond what is expected and we’re patient with me. They are efficient and effective in the services they offer. Affordable and worth every cent. Fantastic facility, quality learning tools and operating equipment. Thank you so much to all the ladies and my driving instructor for everything.

Negative experience: I almost got hit crossing the street while one of your students turned right in red with a pedestrian walk sign up. Pay attention!!

Fantastic experience: The Reyna crew at ABC Truck Driving School are top notch folks! If the student commits the student will succeed. I passed all my tests to acquire my permit; fist round. Today half my class (6) tested and passed all three exams to received their Class A CDL license at the New Braunfels DPS location! Another school was there today with four maybe five students and not one student passed all three exams. This goes to show that having good instructors can make a world of deference when it comes to an individuals pursuit of a better life. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Reyna, the two sweet ladies in the office, Roberto Reyna “The Man” and Hugo Reyna! I owe it all to your instruction and guidance. Negative experience: NEW DRIVERS BEWARE!!!! DO NOT GIVA A TEST HERE!!! The worst third party testing and driving school in Austin! Money minded. They will fail you purposefully and ask you to get coaching from them. They will pass you only if you take coaching from them. Worst parallel parking spot ever! Worst driving test! I hope the government checks their procedures and takes some action against them!

Negative experience: Pésima experiencia el instructor muy mal carácter y aparte llego platicando enojado loque avía pasado nose vale que en ves de dar ánimos ablara así de uno y estando presente por el echo de que saben que uno no abla inglés pero para su sorpresa la persona que iba con migo entendió todo loque ablo

Negative experience: This place is nice and respectful, but because they made a mistake with some papers not checking that one of the things were expired. after waiting at the DMV we were told the papers weren’t valid because of their mistake so we called asking for a refund since we live so far and they said no . It was a simple refund for the driving test that yes was took but the dmv didn’t accept it due to a mistake that and I quote “ is not acceptable and the driving school has been reported” according to the DMV. double check everything before you go and make sure nothings expired because they won’t tell you if it is and make you run in circles. so we decided that the $85 wasn’t worth the stress and let it go .

There isn't another practice yard in the state that you'll have at your disposal to learn the skills you need to know to receive your CDL. The support & confidence they inspire you with is unmatched. Fantastic experience: Choosing ABC Driving school was the best decision I ever made. I''m in my early 20s and I had no driving experience and zero confidence behind the wheel of a car. That all changed once my driving instructor Mr. Hugo Reyna taught me everything I needed to know about how to become a better driver! :) They teach you not only the things you need to know on your driving test (which you can take with them btw) but they also take you to practice in residential areas, downtown, and even on the highway! I couldn't have asked for a better instructor: Hugo is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, kind, and very professional! He didn't give up on my no matter how many mistakes I made. He made sure I had all the sufficient practice he knew I needed to take the test. He kindly led me to the direction I needed to complete my road test. It's because of him I'm a much better driver now! After taking their 10 hour course back in Aug/Sep 2022, passing the drive test, getting my license, and then getting more personal practice behind the wheel for 4 months, I officially purchased my very first brand new car yesterday!!! :D I feel so much confidence behind the wheel now, and I get so many compliments on my driving skills from family and friends. If you're thinking of driving schools, I highly recommend this one! Thank you Hugo Reyna, and ABC driving school for everything! <3

Fantastic experience: ABC Driving School is the best driving school in Austin. I encountered problems with other driving schools, but not here. I took five lessons with them. Then, I was able to take my road test, again, and pass. The staff is professional, unlike at Travis Driving School, where I encountered some bullying behavior. They, also, are the only Austin driving school which offers CDL training.

Fantastic experience: I had completed driving school at other places over the years but never felt like I was ready to drive on my own without the instructor. I didn't have a car and couldn't practice outside the driving lessons. When I completed the adult behind the wheel at ABC driving school, I finally felt confident in my driving. I took my driving test with them as well. Fast forward a few months, I have my own car and I'm driving all over the city with confidence. I wouldn't have been able to do this without them and I'm very grateful for their great service and training.

Fantastic experience: Just did my driving test here today. I was able to schedule for the same day, the staff at the office was friendly and so was the price, compared to the other options. All in all very satisfied.

Negative experience: Honestly, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. We have an au pair that requires driving lessons. The rules were constantly changed at ABC driving school - first, no permit was required, then the permit was required, Spanish speaking driving instructor required then nope - only English available - side note - there is in fact NO Spanish speaking instructor, as it states on their site, and you now need a Texas learner's permit to take the lessons - even though she's already taken 3 lessons without it. Now, it's required. HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: ABC Driving School helped me obtain my CDL. The ladies in the office are super nice and they also helped set me up with everything I needed from the start, with info on where to take my medical exam, to helping set up appointments for the exams at DPS. At the yard, Robert was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on how to operate and handle the commercial vehicle. If I ever had any questions, he would always point me on the correct way. If I felt like I was having trouble in anything , for example with straight lane backing, I was very comfortable to ask him if he had any tips on how to back the truck without so much struggle. He immediately figured out what I was forgetting to do. Once he instructed me on what I needed to do, I did not have any more problems. I would really recommend anyone to come to ABC Driving school if they wish to obtain a CDL.

Fantastic experience: I took behind the wheel driving lessons from the ABC driving school at 1st St. They were very flexible with dates and my availability. Ladies in the office were very sweet and answered all my questions. My instructor, Mr. Reyna, was very professional and full of wisdom. My advise to anyone who is learning from Mr. Reyna, just follow his instructions and you will be fine. I also took on road driving test with them and I pass it on my 1st attempt (without any nervousness). Overall very good experience. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic experience: They were very nice professional people

Negative experience: This is purely from my experience at the Driving School. The people in the office are super sweet and friendly. However, my experience with the instructor was very bad. I had just two classes with the instructor and he became impatient with me. He kept on saying that I wasn't trying hard enough to follow his instructions and was not using my mental strength to be with him on the same ground. He literally told me that he cannot be calmer than this. At the end of two classes itself, he told me that he is not a therapist and he cannot help me and if I can't get the fear out , I should take a refund. This entire experience left me shaken and I lost confidence in myself. I was given the refund back but no apology. I expected more encouragement and patience if I go to a driving class rather than sowing the seeds of self doubt inside me.

Fantastic experience: I scheduled a same day appointment, and there was no wait. The ladies in the office were fantastic and the examiner was prompt and helpful during the practice. The driving test was just as practiced and went smoothly, they even helped me schedule my appointment at the DPS. I would definitely recommend them.

Rob absolutely takes a personal interest and dedication in his one on one attention not only to myself but I watched his efforts and professionalism with the other students as well. Reinstatement of my CDL would not have happened without the effort he put forth in making sure that this "old dog" indeed would learn the "new tricks" required by DPS & the Feds these day's. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here! I'm an adult who didn't know how to drive. I didn't have anyone to help me learn either. I had tried another driving school only to have the instructor become nervous, and then irritated with me. Not here, my driving instructor at ABC driving school was professional, knowledgeable, calm and focused. He really helped me overcome the anxiety that comes with being new driver. Not to mention the staff is professional and polite. These people know what they are doing and have been doing it for years. I highly recommend them. Thank you to everyone at ABC driving school!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best driving school in Austin. The staff at office were very helpful and nice throughout the whole process, from working on your schedule to find you the suitable testing appointment with the DMV. The classes were very affordable in comparison to the commotion. It’s worth the money. Trust me, having the CDL gives you the power to chose the employer you want on your terms. The trainer Robert is amazing, he will work with you based on your style of the learning and tailor the lessons accordingly. He always positive and empowering. Negative experience: I recently signed up for driving lessons prior to COVID-19 which had caused the school to post-pone classes. Throughout the process of requesting a refund due to the circumstances, I received rude and very unprofessional customer service from the manager Lana. It was to extent I’m which I felt I had to record my own calls with her due to the nature of our conversations. Overall I would personally not recommend this place and advise for your time and finances to be invested elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Reyna CDL was awesome!!!! Robert was great to work with, he made sure I was 100% ready to go before the test. They worked around my schedule and took the time to make sure I had the confidence to pass the first time which I did. I’m very great full for them and it was worth every penny and they delivered exactly what the promised. I highly recommend them!!

Negative experience: The trainer is always late and I had to wait for 10 or 15 mins from my scheduled time. They dont value the time of customers. When asked why the trainer is late , they say that " anyways your 1 hour will be covered" .They dont realise that people will actually be having tight schedule admidst the driving class

Fantastic experience: I did a 6 day course here. & I gotta say it was WORTH every penny. I learned a lot and I felt like I improved so much, since the 1st day I started. The staff and everyone was very nice. The instructor Thought me a lot, he really boost my confidence. Even when I felt like I didn’t do much improvement, he always find a way to boost my confidence and made me feel comfortable. Definitely recommend this place if you are a beginner and want to learn how to drive. By the way his name was Hugo. He’s the guy to go with!

Fantastic experience: Do not waste time going anywhere else! They got me in within a day for the DPS road test and actually took the time to explain the process to me. Refreshing after dealing with DPS! Very helpful staff and affordable pricing. Found them late in the process for my 18 year old but will definitely be using them for the younger ones. Fantastic experience: I took some classes at ABC driving School and my experience was exelente my instructor was Hugo I highly recommend him he is very patience, make you feel comfortable since day one, and his instructions are clear and easy to follow his very encouraging and gives you that confident that you will need to be behind the wheel I have learned some driving skills for life and I'm very pleased with the service the school staff is very nice and very encouraging as well they really take pride of their work and care about the students. They put emphasis on what I believe is their motto Safety first they will tell you over and over about to be a Defensive Driver and the best driver that you can be by follow the rules of the road, pay attention to the signals and be aware of what is around you. I highly recommend this School it worth every penny you pay for the classes.
