Fantastic experience: After five years of being qualified to pursue my license, but lacking the confidence to do so, Safer Driving has made the entire ordeal a breeze! Driving with the staff was very enjoyable! You are given a handful of lessons, each allowing you plenty of time behind the wheel for them to assess your performance and provide invaluable advice to ensure that you are confident and SAFE, while maintaining a comfortable pace and a friendly attitude from your first lesson to the end of your test. In a matter of weeks, my confidence has been boosted immensely and driving feels like second nature! I highly recommend them and hope they stick around in this growing town of ours!

Fantastic experience: I decided to sign my son up for lessons even though we had done parent led driver’s ed. Despite practicing frequently, we were both having a frustrating experience. After driver’s ed and the private driving lessons, my son passed his test first try! He came away from it so much more confident. I now have 0 worries that he will be able to navigate the road as a teen driver. These guys were amazing. It was worth every penny and I would have paid double for the results we got.

Negative experience: Drive scheduling platform is not user-friendly, and is updated randomly. The school says you need to log in multiple times a week to schedule drives because they don’t post all available drive times at once. Plus, many of the openings are during school/work hours. Staff seem surprised that student drivers need afternoon and evenings drive times available. Very difficult to get the “drives” scheduled that you pay for.

Fantastic experience: The instructors that I had were informative and asked me if I had any questions, since I was nervous taking their driving lessons. The process for taking their driving lessons and eventually taking the driver's test was straightforward. In the end, I would highly recommend them if you want to learn how to drive properly through their driving lessons. These lessons were really useful in doing hands on practice while having an instructor guide you if you made any mistakes or have any questions. You can also take the driver's test through them, and I would recommend it as well since they give you a lot of preparations beforehand. Thank you guys for teaching and helping me!

Fantastic experience: I have three daughters, and all of them have completed their driver’s education through Safer Driving. I would highly recommend using them, because it will reduce the fighting and yelling your child will experience if you have to teach them.

He guided me step by step and gave me very useful tips when driving as well as helping me to be less stressed. Positive experience: This school helps me a lot specially me that dont know about driving . I have learned so much from our teachers , took a lesson about the book (manual) and missed only 1 question of my written test . Last Sep.26 , I just had my 1st behind the wheel training and it went well with help from one their very constructive and patient instructor ..

Fantastic experience: The class was worth every penny. They teach you the information needed for you to be able to pass your driver's permit, as well as be able to provide driving time, and depending on the package you pay for, take your driving test and a pre-test with them.

Before enrolling at safer driving school I literally have zero experience. The staff was able to boost both my experience and confidence. Very glad to have stumbled upon this driving school. Fantastic experience: Well folks, if you’re not sure then let me reassure you. This is the right decision to go through this program. It’s a better alternative and safer than getting up at 4 o’clock or so waiting in line for multiple days with no results. These folks will assist you in all aspects of making your child. A safer more defensive more alert driver recommended highly to anyone, who are tired of waiting for the broken system that Oklahoma has for the drivers license program.

Fantastic experience: Robert taught my son at the Safer Driving School in Owasso, it is the best place to teach your kids/yound adults how to drive, go thru their school to learn how to drive and get the kids driving on the road quickly, plus I didn't even know that you can have your child take their drivers test at this place, in the same cars they learn to drive in, with the same instructors (the best instructors in my opinion with years of experience) so they are comfortable with them!!! Everyone who has a child in need of driving and they're too afraid to teach them, there is a class for the kids to take, plus they have wreckless driving classes that I plan on my son and I taking!!! Robert and every instructor there, thank you so much for having the patience and caring for these young adults to have the courage to teach them safety and control!!! You guys have a special place in heaven and in the parents hearts ❤️❤️❤️

Positive experience: I had a good experience with SDS. I did my drivers Ed through AAA, and took both the pretest and driving skills test at SDS. The pretest went smoothly, and was very helpful as I was taught and showed everything I needed to know. I then had Don for the road test, and he critiqued what he needed to, but other than that was a very fun guy. Everyone else we spoke to inside of the office was incredibly friendly and professional. I passed on my first try, and couldn't be happier!

Fantastic experience: We found them on a referral from a friend and I was so impressed from putting my daughter in for her classroom for permit to the 6 driving lessons she performed and then the actually driving test. I will definitely refer them to anyone

Fantastic experience: Smooth from start to finish. Helped us navigate the process and Shawn was an awesome instructor. My son passed his written on the 1st try, and the driving test. I would definitely recommend them.

Negative experience: It's been years ago, but the devastation this place caused is still lasting.. worse even. After my son drove up there a couple of times with an instructor, we were told to bring him back when he could drive better. Oh, Christ, I could make this long, but won't. The consequence this had on him seems to be irreparable. Being told you aren't good enough to drive when you're paying a school to teach you is horrific!!!

Negative experience: Safer Driving School is only good if you can teach your teen to drive Yourself! After 1 hour of behind -the-wheel lesson, we were told to take him out driving about 40 minutes, several times a week, for several weeks and then bring him back to them!

Fantastic experience: If you want someone who actually gives authentic real advice I suggest Don. He is a great teacher and a great human.

Negative experience: I wish I would have read Mr. Horsley's review before I was scammed out of $50. I have also now heard that story from others and our experience was similar. We also used the AAA parent-taught program, and chose not to do the $70 "pre-test" on top of the $50 test fee. The examiner (the owner of the school) failed my daughter. He commented that she knows how to drive, but that he is "very technical". He said that she needed signal a little sooner at intersections (sounds valid). His other comment was concerning and confirmed that we had been taken. He recommended that when she was nervous, she should have removed a hand from the wheel and driven one-handed. He offered to give her the test again the next day (no doubt I would still need to pay for the test again and for the $70 "pre-test" then). For locals, I recommend making an appointment in Bartlesville or your closest state-run testing site. These testing sites are free, and our appointment started right on time. A few days after our experience, my daughter passed her test (keeping both hands on the wheel of course) at a state-run site.

Fantastic experience: We have had an excellent experience with Safer Drivers! The website is very easy to navigate, signing up and scheduling driving sessions was fast and convenient. I have been very pleased with the customer service- Anytime I have a question I am able to receive help right away. They have been very accommodating to our families changing schedule. My daughter has also really enjoyed her experience with driving sessions. Just a great people all around!

They have definitely earned my business for my 3 other children and I will highly recommend them to any parent about to start the driving process!

Negative experience: DO NOT PAY/USE SAFER DRIVING SCHOOL: My son took the in person class last Fall and passed his "pre" test with flying colors. We were not made aware, nor contacted (after paying the high cost of this school) regarding the fact he needed to complete 6 hours of in-person driving with a Safer Driving School individual. My son obtained his permit in the fall and has been driving with my husband and I for the past 6 months, following the rules, etc. He took his driver's test this morning at the DMV and passed with flying colors. The DMV asked my son to provide the Certificate of Completion from Safer Driving School but did not have the Certificate in hand. (HERE's the customer service piece that is the reason for my poor review). My husband and I called SDS to figure out what we'd missed. The individual who answered our call was the most unfriendly, unprofessional, and to be blunt, RUDE, we have dealt with in business in some time. She told us she would have to call us back so my son could come in and complete the 6 hours of monitored driving before he could receive the Certificate. HOWEVER, she was not willing to help schedule the drive time. We then reviewed the open dates online and there are no dates available for MONTHS!!! I would NOT recommend this company. Unprofessional and POOR customer service. Don and Jayme are making $$$ off the fact that young adults need education to obtain their license but seem to have missed the piece regarding kindness, respect and dignity when running a business.

Negative experience: Overtly predatory on younger drivers with HIGHLY overpriced classes and tests. Expect to fail until you pay the right price. Instructor is more concerned about what's on his phone than administrating a Driving Exam. Dont't worry, he gets his kicks off of failing people, so be prepared for your child to be yelled at. Awful.

Fantastic experience: We have had an excellent experience with Safer Driving School. They made it easy to schedule the required in-class and in-car instruction needed for a permit and license. Everyone that worked with my daughter was professional and encouraging. We are extremely satisfied with the service provided and will use Safer Driving School again for our next child.

Negative experience: If you want an ignorant lesson on politics, and to hear Don call a car crash victim “pizza face” then spend your money here!

Fantastic experience: My son passed his drivers permit test with a 100%, 2 days after taking the class at Safer Driving School. The course has them take a pre-test before training, highlighted the appropriate sections in the book, take another pre-test, and talked over the answers. Great course for teens.

I was looking for a place for my daughter to take the driving test The coworker recommended this place It's recommendation turned out to be top notch We paid for the pre-drive so she can get used to the car and then she received some pointers while driving around Then she was given the test and yeah she passed it People don't watch so very friendly had a nice time talking while waiting for her to get done

Negative experience: They'll fail you first time to make you sign up for classes not worth it and the fee to take the driving test is TOO HIGH just go to a regular dmv.

Negative experience: I went through their two-day class about two years ago. The classroom has a picture of Jacqueline Saburido, a victim of a drunk driving incident which left her severely deformed. The instructors kept referring to her as “Voldemort” and “Pizza face.” The instructors would joke about speeding, and they claimed Don’s catchphrase was “just don’t get caught.” If your child is LGBT, I recommend not coming here. Don made several ignorant jokes about transgender people. You may contact me if you have any questions about my experience and thoughts.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is a bi-lateral amputee. That's both legs below the knee. Several other driving schools refused to help us. There reasoning was they had no vehicles with hand controls. She is not required to drive with them, but still they turned us away. Don and Jayme at Safer welcomed us in with professionalism, a high standard for safety, and treated her like she was just another new driver excited to get her license. That's hard to come by these days! Most people take one look, and just assume she can't do anything an able body person can do. He asked he to perform a few of the normal body movements you would make while driving. And she was off with the pre-test driver. YES, TAKE THE PRETEST! It's a small price to pay to put your mind that much more at peace! And it gave my girl the confidence to pass, 1st time! Thank you Thank you!!! Don and Jayme are truly great! See you in 3 1/2 yrs when the next one will be ready to start building her new driver confidences!

Negative experience: Don is incredibly rude and unprofessional. You have to pay to use their vehicle because they won't let you use your own. Then he chews your child out for HIS vehicle not working appropriately and the child not being familiar with it.

Negative experience: Will not pass if you don't pay for pretest. They did not like that we did driver's ed somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: They do a truly amazing job , I absolutely loved going. They give you confidence and everything you need to succeed. Starting off I knew absolutely nothing! about driving, but they gave me everything I needed to pass everything with an almost perfect score. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience. I'm noticing negative reviews from people who said they did the parent-taught driver's ed for their child, and then declined the $70 pre-test. We did parent-taught driver's ed as well, but we opted to do the pre-test because we knew there were probably things she needed more help on. After our experience, I WOULD NOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY TESTING WITHOUT THE PRE-TEST LESSON if you did AAA, Idrivesafely, or any other parent-taught. Not because SDS is biased against parent-taught, but because unless you are a parent who teaches driving for a living, you are probably missing some components that your child needs in order to be a successful driver. Our daughter's pre-test lesson was well worth the fee. She said she definitely didn't feel like she would have passed without it. "I would not have passed" from our teenager is a pretty solid review. We understand the financial considerations, and we chose idrivesafely because it was affordable. However, having to spend multiple days waiting and pay retest fees would have been a difficulty for us as well. Being able to schedule the test quickly, then show up and take it without waiting hours was great. (All of the appointments available to pre-book at testing centers across the state were taken weeks in advance. We were able to get in here much more quickly.) If you did parent-taught driver's ed, and if there is ANY way you can swing the pre-test, I highly recommend it. I wouldn't feel comfortable paying the testing fee and turning her loose on the roads without doing it, because she would not have been ready. If we are able to, we will pay for our other children to take driver's ed through Safer Driving School, rather than parent taught. Definitely worth their safety to have professionals whose main focus is teaching students to drive safely on a daily basis.

Fantastic experience: We didn’t use Safer Driving School for our first driver. Safer Driving School made the whole process so much easier with our second driver. The staff was very friendly and the process was easy!!

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Mr. Brian. I have been given the best chance to pass my Drivers License test. He is a very down to earth guy and I would recommend him to any new drivers. He is very good at making you feel comfortable in the car. “That’s what she said”

Fantastic experience: Fantastic school. The owners are great. The instructors my son drove with were great. I love that it is local and best of all, they are certified to give the final driving exam. No having to wait for hours at any of the Tulsa DPS offices. If you don't take advantage of that, you're just wasting your time!

Fantastic experience: one of the best driving schools ever got my permit the next week

Negative experience: If you've truly taken the time to work with and teach your child, put in the hours of driving, and know they studied for it, take your kid elsewhere. Talked to other kids who paid for the training, paid for the pre-test, and then weren't required to demonstrate skills like parallel parking, that my kid was told she failed on. According to my wife and child, an attitude was detected as soon as she said that we chose to use the AAA parent taught program instead of theirs, and that we hadn't chosen to pay to do the "pre-test" prior to paying to take the test. My child, after failing the test, was not given any kind of documentation as to what she specifically failed. She said she was told she was docked because she waited too long to make a turn. I was not aware it was illegal to take a little extra time if you're unsure of traffic. I would rather any kid take a little extra time if they're not comfortable with something, especially if they're not blocking any other traffic. Once again, nothing in writing from the school so that we know what she needed to work on or failed. I've spent the time driving with my child, and teaching her how to parallel park, but maybe she legitimately failed? I'll never know, because we got nothing in writing to address how she did. But from talking to other students, pay for their school, pay for the pre-test, and you basically pay for your kid to pass. Doesn't mean they know how to drive, or that they'll even have to demonstrate the skills that my daughter was required to show, but you'll apparently save them the heartache of failing a driving test.

Fantastic experience: Excellent courteous staff that pays attention to the details your child needs to not just pass the driving test but become responsible drivers.

Fantastic experience: Went to them for Drivers Ed and Defensive Driving. Worth every penny! We misplaced our drivers ed certificate from 2015 and they quickly emailed it to my insurance provider. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: finished school, but they never sent my info to courts-said they did, but made now effort to confirm once i told them i received a letter saying i was in "default"...license now suspended, thanks!
