Fantastic experience: It was a fun yet direct informational learning experience on learning to drive and I definitely gotten better within a few weeks or so which is very rewarding. The people there are very welcoming (even if i was shy at some parts) as I learned to let loose a little as time goes on. It may feel daunting at first meeting these people but with that aside, looking at this "community" and how far they gotten teaching others, overall good experience.

Fantastic experience: I passed my test today, and genuinely could not have asked for a better experience for drivers ed, or my test. The instructor I had for my driver's ed, John, made sure I was 100% prepared and made sure I succeeded. You can tell that they want you to be safe, and are honest in what you need to work on in a way that is constructive. I would 1000% recommend this driving school, especially if you are having anxiety about driving, or getting your lisence. Truly was such an awesome experience.

Fantastic experience: I lost my right leg last year and i have not been able to drive since my amputation. I wanted to drive but did not find a good, caring, and affordable driving school around Greenwich CT. Then I found Knepler Driving Schools in Monroe CT, it is about an hour from where I live, I decided to stay for a week in a hotel close to the school so I didn’t have to go back and forth everyday. I wanted to concentrate and focus on this new journey of my life. I made an appointment for my driving evaluation, that is when I met with Howard Knepler, he is the owner of Knepler Driving Schools, they have been in business for more than 67 years. He tested my vision and cognitive skills. It was determined that i needed to drive with my left foot. I was very impressed about his knowledge and his kindness, he treats his clients with respect, he is very assertive and lets you know in a non condescending way when you are not doing a correct action. His secretary Sandy is very sweet and a kind person, she is very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend Knepler Driving Schools and Howard, you will be in the best care possible. To enhance safety and confidence, the driving school utilizes dual-controlled cars during lessons. I completed the classes and I can now drive with my left foot, my car will be adapted with a left foot gas pedal accelerator. Do not look any further for a Driving School, they are the best!

Negative experience: They were very welcoming when I signed my niece up. As she was performing the driving portion they treated her with no respect. They raised their voice at her for little mistakes or and trying to correct her as if she was incapable of understanding.

Negative experience: Signed up via the school, wish we didn’t. The class is set up to sell you more classes. Howard intentionally leaves out information to mislead you into believing your child needs more training via a driving school then the state requires. Try the next street school they offer flexible scheduling and where up front about all of your options. The biggest lesson Howard taught my son, shop around and do your own research.

They truly care about creating the safest drivers. In our opinion, it’s worth the extra cost because you are getting a better quality service. The instructors go above and beyond in every way.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Knepler Driving School! My kids has just started with a different local school when COVID hit and everything shut down. I received no info and was unable to communicate with the other school for months as other schools opened for online instruction. Howard Knepler was extremely helpful in getting my kids switched over and immediately into his online classes. He got them scheduled for road lessons as soon as the state allowed and my kids got their licenses only 3 weeks after they would have if not for COVID. Thank you Knepler Driving School!

Fantastic experience: The best driving school in Connecticut taught be people that are truly passionate about safe driving. The skills you will learn are priceless and if you go with the full driving course package, there's a chance it will even pay for itself from the insurance savings. There are so many bad driving habits that most people unfortunately have so I am happy to have invested in proper instruction to avoid those mistakes.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has just started driving school. She is on the Spectrum and has anxiety issues. Knepler came up in our investigation online and through conversations with medical team at Yale as the school for our needs. My daughter seems happy and so far feeling empowered. She likes how Howard teaches. I can't wait for her to begin driving. I feel she is on her way.

Fantastic experience: Knepler Driving School is by far the best driving school in the country. I cannot say this from experience, since this is the only driving school I have attended and earned my drivers license with. But what I can say is if you are in the search for a great driving school, this is the one. Fantastic experience: I started driving lessons& classes when I was 18 years old not knowing about Gary Knepler driving school I started at chase driving school... Anyways after failing the road test 3 times due to the lack of knowledge I got from Chase because of that I gave up on driving for a while....2 years passed until I found The Gary Knepler driving school via a radio add on WCBS 880am and I'm so glad I did! This school was my saving grace, it may of taken me 5 years (including breaks from driving) to get my license at the driving school but yesterday 9/27/17 at the age of 26 I finally passed my driving exams!!!! I can't thank the school enough and Howard and Gary for all the help & encouragement with you I wouldn't of been able to pass!! I recommend this school to everybody struggle to pass the drivers exam!!

The driving instructors are absolutely magnificent! Up to date with the Connecticut state manual and make sure their students completely understand the laws while driving! Fantastic experience: Knepler Driving School provides the best and up to date drivers education a driver can get. The best part is the flexibility you get with yours schedule. I can honestly say they produce safe drivers. Everything you can learn about from fixing your mirrors to road safety, this school provides the correct information. This all from a student that took part in the full program and now have my license.

Negative experience: I took driving instructions in 1957, (I was 17), Sy Knepler was my instructor! I have been driving almost 70 years, 17 as aSchool Bus Driver & I have an excellent driving record.

Fantastic experience: Great indepth instruction in class and behind the wheel. Taught me many on the road skills; k-turn, lane change, etc. Overall, a great and straight forward program.

Fantastic experience: The driving laws in Connecticut have changed since I got behind the wheel. The instructors at Knepler Driving Schools keep up with all the changes new instructional techniques. I can't say I'm not nervous about having my kids on the road. But I feel better, knowing they have the tools to stay as safe as possible.

Fantastic experience: Gray Knepler Driving School is the best driving school you could go to. The focus is on becoming educated about driving, and being safe on the roads rather than just getting your license quickly. The teachers and instructors at the school really want you to do well and they are not all about the money they are making from the students. The class schedule is very flexible and you can go to class whenever you have the chance to. I am so happy with my experience at Knepler Driving Schools; they have prepared me well for driving safely the rest of my life and I would not have wanted to learn to drive anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Learning how to drive at Gary Knepler Driving School was one of the best experiences of my life, if I had the option to retake drives education I would defiantly choose here. Instructors are the best instructors I have ever meet they are always very nice and excited to teach you how to drive. The way that they teach makes it so anyone can be able to drive. The in class instruction is better than some public school teachers, and with years of experience and wisdom you learn a lot more than any book can teach you. Out side the classroom when driving with an instructor its always a fun and safe experience. The instructors are nice and give you excellent pointers while driving. Howie Knepler did an excellent job of bringing up current events related to driving that are on the news and incorporating it in his lectures which makes them much more interesting and educational. The driving instructors were all very patient and did an awesome job of teaching you how to park, especially reverse parking. All around, this school has taught me so much about driving and I would recommend it to anyone!!

Howie was so great at bringing up relevant information pertaining to driving that was both interesting and educational. The videos that were shown were a great addition in-between the written work. I took 8 hours of driving with instructors from the school and found it very helpful because you drive in all types of areas and are given proper instructions.

Positive experience: I did the 30 hour classroom and 8 hour driving program. It is not good for someone who wants to slack off and get their license quick and easy with their friends. As a teen that's all I really wanted, but this driving school does not even compare to my High School in terms of learning. The book work was a little excessive because it was barely checked at the end, but in retrospect I did read it all, and I am not one to read (the manuel and a book). The lectures were informative probably 95% of the time, and so were the clips played. The driving part was also very informative. They had tricks that made reverse parking, parallel parking, and other "difficult" maneuvers easy. I took the test today, and passed and it was SO easy. I love the school because it fit my schedule. I play school sports and do not have time to sit through a mandatory class in school after school. Knepler is extremely flexible and you can take one of the classes whenever your heart desires. I recommend this school for people who want flexibility, skill, and safety!

Fantastic experience: Gary Knepler Driving School was wonderful. My two older brothers and I all went there and soon my sister will. Neither of my brothers have had accidents. I haven't gone on the road yet but I feel capable and confident that I AM a safe driver, Knepler has shown me how to be and become a safe driver. So I thank you, thank you for looking out for my safety and the safety of the others. I have learned how to be a responsible safe driver. Knepler has taught me to take driving seriously. I always ask my friends if they do anything at drivers ed,most say it's a total joke. They sit there, they could sleep if they wanted to. At Knepler, you learn, you read, you listen to experts who know the road. They know how to catch your attention, I will always remember what we talk about in class. I am thankful that I now have so much knowledge of the road and road safety because of Gary Knepler Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Overall, I had a phenomenal experience at Gary Knepler Driving School. Having recently passed my driver's test at the school, I am truly grateful for everything the school and its instructors have provided me with: both the skills and confidence to drive. What was so wonderful about the school was its flexibility and accommodation for its students. I signed up for the program almost a full year before I actually obtained my license, which enabled me to participate in both academic and extracurricular activities, while still balancing a driving schedule. Both the classroom and on-the-road hours were extremely informative and the instructors not only knew what they were talking about, but were also very friendly and actually cared about their students. (I'm not too sure of any other schools whose instructors ask their students to call after they pass their driving tests.) I would like to truly thank Howie and Gary, along with everyone else at Gary Knepler Driving School for providing me with the best driver's education around; I would never go anywhere else! :)

Fantastic experience: My parents were prepared to pay five times as much to get me the best drivers education possible--but they didn't have to! Garry Knepler's Driving School gave me the best driver's education possible at a reasonable and fair price. All the instructors are experts at what they do, and all have a great sense of humor. I totally recommend this school to anyone who is either new to driving or needs a good refresher; it helped me get over my anxiety of driving in no time. Totally recommended!
