Negative experience: Te dicen mal la información y no cumplen con lo que dicen , aquí estoy afuera porque según abren alas 8 de la mañana y resulta que abren hasta las 10 de la mañana pésimo servicio , les pagan para que nomás contesten llamadas y ni eso saben hacer

Fantastic experience: I recommend safeRide school to any and everyone really trynna get your CDL!!!!! 1–2 weeks seem fast but that week 99.9% chance u getting ur license!!!! Thank you Alex best teacher ever I’m proud to have gone I’m greatful today I just got my cdl passed with flying colors!!! From the instructors to the individuals working in the offices everyone is there to help you, even tho a lot of people go there it seem as if they still have time to personalize time to help you!!! If you want it go get it it’s time to get trucking

Fantastic experience: I came to Saferide to get my class A cdl and I had Alex as my instructor he was extremely helpful in teaching me what I needed to know to pass everything yes I failed my first attempt at pretrip but I was a nervous wreck so I came back a few days later and passed with Homer I can’t thank Alex enough for his honesty and integrity he carried himself with my first time there I left a expensive flashlight in one of the trucks and when I came back a week later I asked him about it and he gave it back to me

Negative experience: Paid 350 for deposit paid another 1000 for one day class was supposed to just pay 1000 for class so should of got 350 back… now I was told I can use it for extra hours on class but I passed my cdl test so I do t need it called for my money back and receptionist and director refuse to give my money back in unprofessional and crooks I asked to talked to director and was told he is in class I passed my cdl-a without the need for extra hours of class I just want my money back. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow when I talk to the director it’s just crazy you over pay and they’re like we don’t like giving refunds you can use the money for something else or give it to somebody which is nuts to me….I just want my extra money that I paid back!!!!

I passed my Cdl class b on the first try the instructors are very respectful and very professional and overall thank you to Ricardo for all the help he gave me, the prices are reasonable and comfortable, I’m from Houston, Tx and for me the academy is the best in all of Texas they have videos on YouTube so that the student can learn more and once again thank you.

Fantastic experience: Alex gave me all the knowledge I needed to pass the test for my CDL. It was very easy to get paperwork into the front office and communicate with them. The instructors and front office very professional. I recommend this program for anyone interested in a CDL.

Fantastic experience: Definitely would recommend this academy for your cdl license. Homer was my instructor for the practice tests for the days I was there and he was super helpful at quizzing me on each thing I was having trouble with remembering. He was patient and knew I had come a few hours away and willing to stay and help me on everything. Ricardo Balli the instructor was friendly and very professional. Great instructor and was also helpful and gave me enough time to ensure I passed and did everything I was supposed to do. Very happy I chose this academy to take my cdl test with. Fantastic experience: Mr. Alex is a great teacher patient and very helpful. The director Rick is also a great teacher and explains everything you need to know to pass your cdl permit. Overall the Saferide academy is the best place to go for class A class B and hotshot licensing.

Fantastic experience: I found this school and decided to attend, great decision. I’m from Houston and made the drive and so glad I did. The instructor, Julio G was out standing. He taught me and prepped me for testing in 7 hours, has a calm and patience that even a stubborn man as myself got it. Mr. Balli is a true professional. He and his staff made my journey very pleasant and easy. They listened to my needs and concerns and prepared me accordingly. Fantastic experience: Great place! I’ve taken both the teen course when first getting my drivers licsense, and more recently I took my CDL Classroom and plan on going back for my CDL training! Rick is a great and fun instructor! The class is very easy to follow! Even if you have 0 experience or knowledge on commercial driving, this class can and WILL change that! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SafeRide to anyone!

Negative experience: No lo recomiendo. No te explican que tienes 6 meses para terminar las horas de manejo, si no terminas en esos 6 meses son $50 extra para renovar contrato. Ellos no te hacen la cita para la clase, tu tienes que hacerla en linea y para colmo por lo regular la cita mas cercana son de 1 mes a 3 meses de espera por que no hay disponibilidad. Entonces como quieren que termines en 6 meses!!.

Negative experience: Everything was awesome at first the teacher was very funny helpful and nice while teaching. I then began my driving hours. My last appointment was a disappointment. They tell you “if you’re 5mins late the instructor will leave without you and you’ll pay a fee.” I got there before the appointment and wait. Everything seemed good at first. The owner talks to his employee about certain things. The instructor finally gets there a few minutes late understandable. He then begins to stand there and listen to them. 20 minutes late. I get fed up and I know that if I stay I’ll snap. It’s supposed to be an hour appointment not 40 minute appointment. I walk home and call them with my mom. One the owner lies and says he left at 610 which is a lie see as how I have proof. He then proceeds to tell me it’s my fault and not theirs saying they were in a “meeting” and that it doesn’t concern me. If you’re wasting my time it is my concern. Secondly it’s an instructor not a sales men. Learning how to convince people to buy something shouldn’t be his concern. I shouldn’t have to remind them that were here waiting. Maybe I’m in the wrong I don’t know. I’ll let who ever reads this be the judge. The person who always gets there on time. Or the owner who tries to manipulate his customers into thinking it’s their fault.

Fantastic experience: I decided to obtain my CDL Class-A this year, and after calling around locally I landed on SafeRide Driving Academy in Los Fresnos. Talking with the owner Rick, he guided me to a package (10 Classes) that would not only be beneficial to someone new to driving, but also give enough time to walk into my test prepared. I signed up and was scheduled to my needs. I work during the week, so they accommodated me with weekend classes. The office staff is attentive and if they can’t answer a question you might have, they’ll find someone who can. The three biggest things this class teaches are: Pre-Trip Inspection, Maneuvers, and Driving/Shifting/Control of a vehicle. Class sizes are two students, one instructor. A three-hour class is very evenly split between both students, and I felt my time spent watching was still valuable. They do have options for single taught classes, a little more money. For the Pre-Trip Inspection, you’re given a video to learn from as well as a comprehensive packet that covers fully. If you put the time in, and study it, you’ll come to class prepared and have the confidence you need to take your exam. An added benefit to all of this, is that Instructor Julio also has videos he’s made that are a great supplement for the main video. I highly recommend adding them to your study routine. Maneuvers can be scary. Being able to Off Set and Parallel Park a Tractor-Trailer was a feat I didn’t believe I’d be able to do. One class with Julio and I walked away confident, and ready to use it for the State Test and in the real world. His approach to teaching the maneuvers and answering the thousands of “what-ifs” I had, was open and straightforward. Safe Driving and control of the vehicle on the road can be nerve wracking as well, for someone who hasn’t drove something this large before. Driving a 10-Speed transmission, double clutching, and making turns isn’t easy for anyone. SafeRide Driving Academy though walks you through all of it, and get’s you on the road safely. Homer really excelled in helping master my downshifting. There are a total of three instructors of the three I had two: Julio and Homer. Julio excels on the customer service side and maneuvers portion of the classes. I was with him two or three times, but after each one of those classes I felt better about my progress as a student and my ability as a driver. Julio also gives his phone number and is available almost night and day for questions, tips, and tricks. Sometimes even something random, I was able to contact him and get a response within an hour. That’s above and beyond what is expected of him, though I felt it truly shows he has an interest in every student succeeding and passing. I highly recommend requesting him for a few classes for Pre-Trip and Maneuvers. Homer excels on teaching the driving portion of the class, and pre-trip. He taught downshifting, as well as finding comfort in taking turns while on the road. Being out on the road, his relaxed approach will help anyone calm down and drive safely. A Negative though: When we went to take our test though, he didn’t bring our confirmations from the DPS (We were originally in Corpus, the School asked to move us to Edinburg). Leaving them at the office instead. They didn’t have us on the schedule either, and requested to see his confirmation. Our first test was scheduled at 7am, with us leaving the yard at 5am, and the office not opening till 9am. Only one of us ended up being able to test that day. Other then my phone call with Rick, I met him one day out at the driving range. I had a question that I wanted some clarification on, and he was more then happy to stop what he was doing and come look at the trailer with me. Sometimes it’s the little things, that leave a mark. That was for me. Rick answered my question fully and passed on some extra knowledge on his day off. I recommend a solid mix (Julio and Homer), as each contributed to my success in gaining a Class-A CDL.

Negative experience: Drove 30 minutes to get there AFTER speaking to the owner the day prior only to be told it’s “by appointment only,” by the person at the front, even though he had told us to just come in. The only reason we spoke to the owner on the phone was because my availability is limited and today was my only day off so he said it’d be fine to just come in today. The front desk lady was clueless and rude, didn’t let me speak without interrupting, and overall wasted my time on the only day I had off of work. Disgusting work ethic.

Fantastic experience: Unlike the other driving schools in the area they helped me out instead of just wanting my money. They scheduled me right away and I didn’t have to wait weeks. Very professional and will send my kids when the time comes .

Negative experience: this place has no idea what they’re doing. I paid for the adult driving education class, and was told to show up on Monday-Thursday to take it. I came and waited and hour and a half and dealt with workers who didn’t know what was going on. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Negative experience: My brother signed up for classes in November of 2018 having plans to start CDL training classes. Unfortunately shortly after he started experiencing many unusual symptoms mainly with his balance and coordination. He was later diagnosed with an aggressive form Multiple Sclerosis which is a central nervous system that affects your ability have accurate perception and loose your balance and no coordination. I called this office to explain what had happened and the man plain out said they couldn't refund my father the $500 he had already paid. It's sad that people like this have healthy lives and have no compassion for people dealing with this types of diseases.

Fantastic experience: I learned so much from this school. It was honestly an amazing experience. Mr. Rick taught so much, and was an out-spoken man.

Positive experience: I learned a lot about driving because of our experienced instructor, Rick. However, I was under the expression the class would teach me how to drive properly. While I learned a lot of driving tips, it wasn't enough to help me become a better driver.
