Fantastic experience: I highly recommend these guys. Professional, dedicated and knowledgeable. Had 3 lessons, one with Ramonda and the final lesson and accompaniment to the road test with Lamar. Lamar was so good! Great instructor. I passed easily.

I had a wonderful time learning how to drive and it really eased my anxiety around driving. I passed my test and I took a total of 6 lessons with the road test package!! She really went beyond to help us out. The new instructor, Luis, was so calm and gentle. His instructions were very clear and helpful according to my daughter. Positive experience: A while back I ran into Darryl who was such a gentleman and gave me his card. I would love to schedule with him BUT it’s been damn near impossible. You guys don’t answer the phone! I’ve also contacted you 3 times since May via email and ALL 3 times Cathy stopped replying.

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in the area, I had scheduled lessons, got my certificate, and passed on my first try on the road test. My instructor, Daryl, helped me gain the confidence I needed as a new driver. The first lesson he assessed my skill level and had me drive around my neighborhood because he knew what I was capable of (which I didn’t even know because I was so scared). Each lesson was great practice and I’m glad I chose them. As well, Cathy and Joy were always polite and pleasant when helping me schedule. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Tri-city wasn't my first driving school. My first one was a lesson with someone who had 0 patience, yelled at me during the lesson and controlled the wheel more than I did. I absolutely had a terrible experience and was afraid to take more lessons, but I needed them for the road test. So I tried tri-city and I'm glad I did. The price of 3 lessons was a great value and every instructor I had was so kind. They evaluated my driving in parking lots and non-busy streets before telling me to go to the road which was much better for getting a feel of the car. They were patient and honest with me about what I needed to work on before my test and helped me feel comfortable with someone else in the car. I passed my road test right after my 3 lessons with them. Thank you do much!

Fantastic experience: I am highly impressed by the professionalism and driving skills at this driving school. In the past, I took a class with an instructor from another school who was constantly on his phone, inattentive, and only provided feedback by yelling at the last moment. In contrast, the instructors here are calm and provide clear, logical explanations of my mistakes. They pay close attention while I am driving and offer constructive feedback, which has significantly improved my driving skills. Alhamdulillah, (praise be to God) I just passed my road test today.

Negative experience: The instructors were great with my daughter. Very patient & encouraging, but she took several lessons as well as 2 lessons + road test and she failed both times so I won’t spend more money on lessons here.

I set up 6 driving lessons and scheduled a road test for my son with Cathy, who is so very kind, sweet and professional on every level. She was very thorough with explaining things and any questions I had in regards to the different programs they offer. My son had the most amazing driving experience with Darryl, making him feel comfortable and giving him the confidence to help him prepare for his road test in which he passed!! Darryl is AWESOME!!!! Fantastic experience: I had to give 5-stars. I think the overall service, teaching styles, and people at Tri-City are amazing. Tri-City driving has very helpful instructors that approach teaching with patience, reassurance and understanding of where your skills are. Some places struggle with patience and teaching style and can make people more anxious BUT Tri-City does it right! I took the 3 lesson package and then the lesson/test combo. My timeline was over the course of a month and I passed my test!! I definitely recommend the refresher course before the test combo, get some of the nerves out and the seat adjusted. The price is also a deal for the service. And the courtesy calls a day before lessons was incredibly appreciated!

Negative experience: One of the instructors (only one person in the car) ran a 4 way stop and almost hit me. Now we know where so many people learn aggressive driving.

Fantastic experience: After a horrible experience and failing my road test the first time with another driving school, a friend of mine recommended Tri-city Driving Academy. I reached out and bought a 6-lesson package plus a road test. Guess what? I passed the second time! At Tri-city, I met a team of professional instructors that are soft spoken, understanding and put students first. They helped me build my confidence behind the wheel and taught me everything I needed to pass my road test in a simple, easy to remember and step by step manner. I wish I started the journey to getting my driver's license with Tri-city. It would've saved me a lot of time and money. A big shout out to my instructor @Darryl. You are the real deal . Fantastic experience: I started out slow with the first lesson in the parking lot practicing general driving and turns, then to driving on the road, then practicing 3-point turns, then parallel parking (with tips and advice on using signals, looking over shoulders…). I also practiced driving on the highway, which is not tested but important. I took my test and passed with flying colours, cause I had good teachers, exposure and guidance.

Fantastic experience: Ramanda was an excellent teacher and perfect for my son to learn from. Kathy was always connecting with us to accommodate our schedule. We found that you can't beat the price and the quality of service was not sacrificed whatsoever! I see that on occasion other people were frustrated with the rescheduling. Well, that happens when the Academy is accommodating others' schedules as well! I highly recommend the Tri-City Academy!!

Negative experience: I was just cut off on 1-90 by a blue Nissan Altima with your business name all over it. It was a single male driver, no passenger. After he almost clipped my front end, I continued to follow him off the Loudonville exit going north on Albany Shaker Rd to my destination. He exceeded the speed limit by at least 15 miles an hour and then crossed a double yellow line to go around a vehicle turning right. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY TEACH YOUR CHILDREN HOW TO DRIVE IF THEY HIRE TEACHERS LIKE THIS!!!

Negative experience: Stay Away from this school dont waste your money, they are very unprofessional, always late, the instructors are not patient The car were they train you is in a very bad condition and very durty. I dont even know how they have 5 stars when the service is terrible. Is very expensive for such a bad service. There better schools with professionals dont waste your time in this place . If is your first time taking classes find an other place the instructors here will scream at you and make you nervious, not patient at all. Terrible experience.

Fantastic experience: I just Gave my 2nd driving test today and passed With the helpfull Tips of Zina she gave me some great tips right before the test and that helped me Alot( I suggest you take her is thats an option) Really happy to have her as an instructor and thanks to driving acadamy and my Other Instructor Abdulmalik who thought me how to drive(great guy). Fantastic experience: I would recommend this place to anyone, especially someone who doesn't know driving, right from the driving instructors to every staff member, I have had a great experience with and they have made my journey very hassle free, I took the 5 hour learning course, it was great and I had taken 4 classes before my actual driving test, I was fortunate to get it through the first test, it's because of their valuable insights and learning techniques, Thanks to Cathy and both my driving instructors they have helped me alot in understanding the procedures and learn how to drive safely :)

Negative experience: My son purchased the 3 lesson package. 2/3 lessons had to be rescheduled by the company and the instructor was extremely late each time. Kathy was extremely sweet and did what she could to accommodate the issues but unfortunately this created some anxiety for my son and I. Now that we are trying to schedule his road test we are being given what seems like the run around. I really appreciate this company for helping my son learn, but the professionalism and time management could definitely use some work. I probably will not use this company in the future and hope to hear back from them soon. It pains me to have to write a review like this because I've tried to be understanding, but these issues are a little excessive when my son has paid his hard earned money for a service that hasn't been provided. I will update this review if I hear back from someone and am able to actually schedule my son's road test.

Fantastic experience: I took three lessons with Tri-City driving, one with Darryl and two with Malik. They did a great job of evaluating my skills and preparing me for my Road Test. I passed first try! I recommend the driving lesson the day of the test for preparation and confidence. The only issue I had with Tri-City was reaching the office to schedule my second driving lesson. Overall I highly recommend, especially taking lessons with Malik.

Fantastic experience: I had my road test with this school. They gave me a practice test before I went to my actual one. They sent an experience instructor, calm, arrived on time, gave me a bunch of tips & tricks to pass the exam. The car they sent was also a very good one, it was new & well equipped. It also had a safety brake pedal for the instructor. Overall the experience was really good & they're professional, experienced people.

Fantastic experience: The instructor was patient, and encouraging! i was suppose to pass my driving test on Friday and i scheduled my driving test only for Wednesday and 2 more lessons after Friday; so when the instructor learned that he was so concern about me passing my driving test that they reschedule the remaining lessons for Thursday so that he can teach me everything he can before Friday!! I am very thankful for that!! i got my driver's license!! I really recommend Tri-city driving school!!! there are thoughtful!!!
