Roadmaster Drivers School of Jackson, MS

Fantastic experience: Ms.Kelia introduced the general knowledge of trucking really enjoyed her class and she believed in me. Ms. Brionna and Mr. Jeremy walked me through PTI I caught on with no problem. Mr.Corbin is an instructor you must have thick skin cause he will not let you just give up if you don't catch on fast. Mr. Ed he is a funny instructor and precise giving instructions. Mr.Frank will answer any questions you have. Mr.Dave prepared me for driving on the road. Mr. Jeremy give instructions in the most simplest understanding way that really worked for me. Ms.Darilyn was supportive through my process in school. Ms. Hobson my recruiter is really sweet and helped me get into Roadmaster. Ms.Jaqesha introduced me to Werner and the benefits the company has to offer. Lastly Mr.Jason operate in the most professional way and made sure I focused on why I came to trucking school.

Negative experience: I just left Roadmaster last Friday. It’s was a hard decision to make. At the location in Jackson,Ms. All of the other instructors and the ladies in the front office were great.There is one instructor named Eddie. Supposedly the Lead Instructor, who offers no help or guidance. We the students had to rely on each other. When it came to trying to figuring out how to perform and correct maneuvers. Why? Because Eddie did not pay attention or provide help. I was there trying something new to better my situation. I’m still mad at myself for allowing that one person influence my decision. I passed everything and on my last little time there. I knew that I would not succeed with Eddie. I’m sure Roadmaster will be receiving more bad reviews soon.UPDATE….. I did a restart on 03/10/2025 and left 03/11/2025 @ 9:05am I emailed Mrs Hobson that I was leaving and to let the manager Jason know. My experience was fine until it came to Pad Skills. Now I have to look into other options.

Fantastic experience: I went to school at Roadmaster in Jackson Ms. It was a great experience learning how to manage a combination truck, I did have a dificulte time learning a maneuver, till I did talk to the director about the situation several times, then that’s when the instructor took his time to explain how it has to be done is when I was able to understand the maneuver and passed my evaluation. I believe that the instructor should be there to be able to explain how it’s has to be done, every student learns differently, and the instructor should have patience to teach every student and if the instructor does not take its time to teach correctly that’s when the student gets frustrated about the situation and failed. I did have a discussion with the instructor and he did tell me something that I will never forget (he told me that I was not going to make it anyways) ( regarding this maneuver) The school just needs little bit more focus regarding angle change on maneuvers.

Fantastic experience: I can't tell you about the other schools but I am so glad I chose this one. This school doesn't have 'teachers' but experienced drivers who will build your skills side by side with you as well as teach the necessary knowledge needed to succeed. You will truly learn and be able to adjust to your mistakes when first beginning and you'll know exactly what you need to do to grow your skills. Respectful, Professional, Transparent and Fun is what's gonna set this school apart. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The experience of Roadmaster commercial driving school was extraordinary. Everybody was helpful. A big shout out to all the staff there. Everybody was patient and understand. And no question was stupid. I would recommend Roadmaster commercial driving school to anybody.

Negative experience: Terrible school didn’t have money for my drug test due to driving back and forward and they did not offer any Hotel’s or any other Help for me coming back and foward to school driving 40+ Miles and was charged 2,000$ for class For not meeting requirements for drug test. I tried constantly to tell them I had no other way to pay for my drug screen and that I need more time but couldn’t get it. If you come to this school have 150$ That’s the requirement for your Drug Screen if you don’t have it and sign papers for the school you have to pay 2,000 for attending class and you left with nothing but a bill

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster Driving School is the best school in the land and is family-oriented. They go the extra mile making sure and understanding that you understand that you learn the ends in the outs of the truck when they don’t have to and I said this to say that I appreciate it, they were like my uncle my older brother my dad I took that to the heart cause people don’t have to and nowadays people don’t go the extra mile anymore. Roadmaster will be the priority on my list of recommendations for a CDL School and not only Roadmaster‘s Driving School, the one located in Jackson Mississippi off of 1500 Highland Dr. is one of the best schools that Roadmaster has opened, and the great decisions they could have done.

Fantastic experience: I been waiting on this moment to share my experience at Roadmaster. Before I went to Roadmaster(Jackson Ms) I went to another trucking school that I won’t name but I couldn’t get straight line backing down at that location. They tell you that the program is twenty days at the time when you register but it’s actually a week longer than that. I was fine with that because I was for certain that I would get all the knowledge I needed to obtain my license with the techniques of how they were teaching. This is the school that will make sure you get it. If you fail you fail on your own. The instructors there, they teach with love.They wanna see you make it. They have 5 daily affirmations to keep you encouraged. They were respect, focus, determination, all day every day, and failure is not an option. I stuck with focus and failure is not an option. I knew what I wanted and I knew couldn’t get it if I quit. I do want to share that on my first attempt to get my license, I failed not bc I didn’t have the knowledge I needed and not bc I was nervous. I think I was more so anxious on test day bc I just knew I had it. I had to go back to school for a two day refresher after I failed, the instructors was asking me what happened they just knew I had it, I told them I was too anxious. I wanna share what the school manager Jason Carr left me with “nothing comes fast but a crash” take your time.. Best believe I got my L’s that second go round. I love the staff at Roadmaster and enjoyed my time there. If you’re considering going to school don’t waste your time no place else.

Fantastic experience: “I am a June 2022 Roadmaster Trucker School Graduate! The First day I stepped on the campus I was a nervous wreck. Within my first two weeks I got adjusted to the school and I began to make amazing friendships with other soon to be truckers. My final week I almost gave up but Mr. Carr and the rest of the Roadmaster staff in Jackson told me they were not going to let me. I practiced over and over again the day before my test and the next day I passed EVERYTHING and earned my CDLs!!! Roadmaster is not just a company name, they’re going to make sure that before graduation you are a ROADMASTER‼️”

Negative experience: Just got fuel at loves in Vicksburg, a trainer and trainee showed up. Parked at the fuel island, took their brake there, glad to see they are training these new people the proper way to be professional, and courteous to their fellow driver. Better time spent, go to the parking lot and practice backing trk 76631 at least this guy will be a good driver as long as he doesn't have to back up. Smh

After having attend the Jackson campus I feel very confident in saying I now acquire the basic knowledge, as well as some extended knowledge to travel over the road as a driver. The instructors and staff are patient, knowledgeable, and very much understanding. They worked hard with me with the other students and individually to insure that I retained all needed information. I could write a book about these past few weeks and it still wouldn't amount to what Roadmaster of Jackson has given me. I appreciate Jason and the Jackson Roadmaster staff. Everyone is so nice you really feel like family the little time you’re there! McKenzie is so nice even when you having one of those days & believe me you are she’s going to make you smile. Ms Janice is the absolutely great she’s going to make sure you are doing your best…! Mr Ed is not gone give up on you even when you feel like giving up on yourself. The staff and instructors here have made my time here a true delight. Expecting stress and aggravation from trying to learn new skills at my age, Instead I found instructors that went above and beyond to make sure I learned the skills successfully but kept the stress to an absolute minimum. A shout out to Matt, Claudia, Jeremy, Mr. Thurman, and Eddie. All of them have been diligent in making sure that not only did I have the necessary skills but understood why performing certain tasks were important to my success. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed my time there and how productive that time was. I highly recommend you consider this school if you have an interest in driving for a living. Fantastic experience: I couldn't have choose a better school to attend. Hands down the best road instructors (Jeremy); Pad and Skills Instructors (Ed, Mike and Mack); and PTI instructors (Cowboy); Ms.Foster is the best classroom and MDoT inspector I've ever met, very kind and stern, always encourages her students to do their best. Last but not least Mr. Jason, very inspirational and never allows any of his participants to have any doubt in their mind about completing this course,(from experience he went through the same course.) "Slow and steady wins the race". Respect, Focus, Determination, All Day Everyday, FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster in Jackson, MS is a great school to attend if you want your CDL license. The classes are smaller and they will work with you one and one so you do not keep making the same mistakes. The teachers are patient and will make sure you are ready to test before you leave their.
