Negative experience: The first two lessons for my daughter who is 15 were very good and we were quite happy. For the third lesson the instructor showed up with a faulty car, and told my daughter that despite some issues in the steering wheel, there was no reason to worry as it was "controllable". Within minutes they were on 195, on the left lane (third lesson ever for a 15 year old, what were they doing on the left?) when the car experienced more malfunctions with the windshield wipers turning on, and shortly after the car simply stopped. They were stranded on the left service lane for around an hour. The instructor called Ubers but they couldn't stop on the left. My wife went looking for them but also only checked the right lane as it is obviously where they should have been. Eventually they had to run across the highway to get the uber on the right. Yes mechanical failures may happen but what is absurd here is that the car had mechanical problems and the instructor was well aware of it *before* the lesson started. Yet he still had her on 195 on the fast lane. This entire episode was *extremely* unsafe. I asked for my money back and the school refused! I had to use the credit for another lesson (in which the report was never sent).

Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience!! From day one from having no experience behind a wheel to then after 2 2hr sessions being able to book the driving exam and PASS! definitely recommend to anyone weary of driving !!

Negative experience: I called many traffic schools to do the exam and this was 2x the price, all the others were charging 100$ and they charge 176$ for the same service.

Positive experience: I completed four driving lessons, culminating in passing the driving test. Three of the lessons were with instructor Jose. He is an amazing teacher. He boosted my confidence by providing instructions and allowing me to make decisions, intervening only when necessary and urgent, that helped me a lot to overcome my fears about driving. I'd rate the school 4 out of 5 stars because the car is very old and broken. During my test, the steering wheel got stuck, making it difficult to reverse from the parking spot, and the gear wouldn't shift to "D," requiring multiple switches. This created a stressful situation during the test with the examiner.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for helping me to get my first driver license. I’ve took only three 2-hours driving lessons and passed the road test. My instructor gave me all instructions and tips to pass the test. It was easy to schedule lessons and find a time slot which works for me.

Fantastic experience: I had no experience driving before enrolling in Topline's driving lessons. I was assigned Jose as my instructor. He was a great instructor and cool to talk with. Explained everything clearly. We had 3 lessons of 2 hours and I was able to pass the driving test with perfect score afterwards. First lesson was on Wednesday and on Saturday I had my drivers license certificate. Would recommend 100%

Negative experience: This review is about my experience with a specific instructor : Vicente Garcia Portela -Toyota Corolla 2009 at Topline Driving Traffic school During my first lesson he was a little weird. For exemple, he would have a conversation with me about life etc. and then become completely silent when I ask him a question. This happened several times. (Okay, a little rude but whatever). Next day, I asked him several questions about driving and he would not answer. Not even something like “can you repeat the question?” “or “I’m not sure how to answer.”-just complete silence. Then he told me to drive the wrong way down a one-way street. I followed his request without checking. Luckily, there were no cars and we were able to turn around. He admitted it was his fault, but then I started to worry that he has a deficit of attention or doesn’t know how to read signs. Next he instructed me to turn on a narrow road. I’ve been driving all of 2 hours so was not qualified to drive on such a narrow road. Going 10 miles an hour, I hit the mirror on a garbage bin causing it to fold. With that, the guy just SNAPPED. He got extremely nasty and abusive. I was apologetic and asked if the mirror was scratched- it wasn’t. It simply folded. Okay, it’s a pathetic beginner mistake but if he thought I was such a dangerous reckless driver he was supposed to take over and drive me home. Instead, he let me continue driving (still 10 mph) while commenting on my every single movement in an extremely irritated and dismissive manner. He was putting me down so persistently that I couldn’t bare it any longer and asked to finish the class one hour earlier. He snapped with a nasty tone again: “oh what a great idea”. It was a huge relief for me to find out later that everything is recorded. That’s probably why he didn’t go completely psycho on me . Nonetheless this long lasting verbal abuse was very traumatizing. He was so agressive and creepy that he made me (a 43 y.o.) cry. Can you believe it? This person should not teach or work with other people. He is inattentive, has zero patience or empathy and doesn’t know the road rules. He has an explosive personality and doesn’t know how to control his anger. He is clearly doing this job to pay the bills, but he hates what he is doing and he hates the people he has to work with. I believe he should go to an anger management therapy or maybe a psychiatric evaluation to work with people again. Hope this helps someone else to avoid such an awful experience!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking driving classes with Jose. He is an excellent instructor with a lot of patience and experience. I'm a nervous person, and he made me feel calm and confident while driving the car:) He prepared me for the road test in 3 classes, and I passed it on the first attempt. I've previously taken few driving classes in NY. However, Jose was without a doubt, the best instructor. Additionally, I had a great communication with the owner of Topline Traffic Driving School. He was very responsive and answered all my questions. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with 2 instructors here, both were very helpful in helping me and my situation. First, there was a glitch and my name was written twice in the system. Made another appointment, waited months for it, but DMV canceled me for no reason. My instructor today was persistent in trying to get me back my driving test appointment, I got it and passed the test! Now I don't have to think about DMV for another 7 years. Pheww! I had never driven in my entire life and had been in two recent car accidents (Miami life lol) so I was terrified to get behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: Wellll I did not think I was going to be able to drive because I was very nervous. But my instructor (and owner of the company) was amazing and gave me the tools I needed to feel comfortable and confident. I took 20 hours of lessons with him and at the end got my license. I’m 35 years old too. I would recommend him to anyone regardless of age. And especially if you’re a nervous driver I highly recommend him and this amazing company! - Jolene

Fantastic experience: I highly, highly, highly recommend this company. The level of professionalism was astounding. The instructor is very truthful with you from the beginning regarding what you need to work on and he makes sure to never promise that you will end up passing the road exam and getting your license since at the end of the day he really has no control over that. I was never left in the dark when it came to whether the instructor was on his way and how long it would be until he made it to my destination because an update of the estimated arrival time was always sent to me. Also, even though he was running a few minutes behind the time due to traffic, he made sure to give the full amount of time scheduled for the session. Prior to my lessons, I was very afraid of driving on the road. I had not practiced driving for nearly a year. However, in just two sessions, the instructor was able to help me gain my confidence in my driving. He never got frustrated when you forgot a technique. Instead, he was very encouraging. And, in the end, although this is a promise that they don’t make, I got with my full license. The experience is very rewarding. You won’t regret it.

Great results are promised. I learnt how to properly drive and Got my licence! They also help you to track your progress with a report after each test.
