Fantastic experience: I came with a license from other country but I had to divert it because of the federal laws , so after I came to the school, Juan carlos the instructor drove me close to the road test area and help me practice about about specific skills that are important for the road test, thats all after I was failed when I tried in another school at the beginning but when Juan teach me, so I passed and now dont need to afraid to get pulled over (when people come from other country, they know different rules, thats also why)

Fantastic experience: If you’re considering taking driving lessons, take it with Angel! He gives great tips and makes sure you understand before moving on. I had other instructors in the past but no one ever taught me the way he did, especially with the parallel parking and 3 point turns. I learned so quickly and I couldn’t believe it. Follow and pay attention to all his techniques and surely you’ll pass the road test. He’s a great instructor and I definitely recommend him!

Fantastic experience: Angel, the driving instructor at Zapiti Auto School, was my driving instructor. I took three lessons a week before the road test and passed the test smoothly. The road test takes about 10 minutes, and the most important things are passing the parallel park and three-point turn. Angel provides tips on how to do both parallel parking and three-point turns effectively. He even has notes to guide you. If you follow his instructions, you can easily pass the test. I had previous driving experience, so three lessons were enough for me. If you don’t know how to drive, you may need more lessons, but the key point is that he provides valuable tips that can help you pass easily. I wish you the best of luck!

Fantastic experience: After failing my road test almost 16 years back and losing the confidence to drive, I came to Zapiti (following the reviews) and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Ms.Thalia and her team delivered their services professionally and made the whole experience smooth and stress free. She is just a pleasure to work with, always supporting and kind. Angel was my instructor for the lessons. He immediately removed all the anxiety and tension I had within minutes of my first lesson. I felt confident again with driving. He teaches you with respect, giving words of support when you make a mistake, instead of condescending you. His knowledge of the roads and maneuvering a car is first class! They are #1! Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Zapiti Driving School and I want to share my great experience while I was taking classes with them. Thalia, the owner, is a warm-hearted and kind lady. She is very accommodating in rescheduling appointments even without much warning. Always available to answer questions and very easy to communicate with. I first started driving with Victor, who is knowledgable and precise. I learned the traffic laws and driving rules thanks to his commentary during driving classed, which stuck to me and taught me to be a conscientious and aware driver. However, I can certainly say that I gained the right amount of confidence to navigate the roads seamlessly only once I started taking lessons with Angel. Angel's patience knows no bounds. No matter how many questions I threw his way or how many times I made the same mistake, he remained calm and encouraging while teaching me how to fully grasp control of the vehicle. His positive attitude truly made a difference in boosting my confidence behind the wheel. What I appreciated the most was his personalized approach to teaching. Fantastic experience: Zapiti is an amazing driving school. I had no driving experience and was anxious on the road, but after about 7 lessons with Angel I passed the road test! Angel is a great instructor; he's calm, direct and patient. He's very knowledgable about the road and had a lot of great driving tips. The receptionists and Thalia are so kind and accommodating. I would recommend this driving school over any of the others in the neighborhood. They also happen to have the most reasonable prices in the Astoria. Overall, couldn't have had a better experience learning how to drive. Zapiti sets you up for success on the road test!

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in Astoria. I enrolled in 10 classes as a first time student. My regular instructor Angel was very helpful and patient and helped me learn how to drive when I was super anxious and scared on the road! I had Nikki and Adam to help me learn how to parallel park and they were so helpful! The receptionists and Ms. Thalia are so kind and accommodating when you need to reschedule.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough! 1) the reception ladies are extremely caring, thoughtful and detail oriented! They worked with me to come up with a good lesson schedule and were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout 2) my instructor, Angel, was amazing! He was knowledgeable, patient, friendly and kind! I passed my driving test after only a few lessons with him - I really am grateful to him as I wouldn’t have passed otherwise. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! I must say that the lessons I took with Adam were extremely helpful! He not only flawlessly (!) taught me the techniques (of parallel parking, U-turns, STOP signs and more), but he emphasized the nuances of how fast or slow I should drive at any given moment. Although I used to drive a while ago, I must say I am a better driver because of him. And passed the test! Thalia (the owner) is extremely professional and on top of everything, appointments, tests, students preparedness and so on... She really cares about every student, not only her business. Fantastic experience: I’ve driven before but had my permit as my ID for awhile and My great experience with the staff of this driving school is why I passed my test first try. I was still very nervous during the test, but the lessons with my instructor Angel kicked in when doing the tasks. When we went to the road test area I had really bad anxiety and he give me a powerful speech to motivate me, and he made me to pass the test in my first try.I am really appreciated what he did for me. Positive experience: Angel is an amazing caring instructor. My daughter was lucky to have him as an instructor one time. However, my daughter took 4 classes , with a different person before knowing about Angel. On her road test the woman instructor , was upset she only took a few classes. On the day of my daughter's road test she failed and the instructor kept on telling my daughter over and over she only took a few classes with the biggest attitude. After I told her to please stop, she waited for me to leave and continued talking to my daughter in English and then Greek . She was not professional at all. I totally understand she failed and it was my daughter's fault However, she was repremending my daughter over and over. I paid for class and road test not for her to give my daughter attitude and speak to her in another language while looking at her.

I have recieved so much help and support from the staff, unlike any other driving school in New York. My best guidance came from teacher Angel who was very patient and helpful with the things i needed to pass my drivers test. Angel taught me everything I needed to know for the road test AND some additional tips for everyday driving. He was honest but kind with me, and always made sure I felt confident behind the wheel. If you plan on learning to drive, please request for Angel!! He was amazing and would recommend him to everyone. Fantastic experience: Zapiti is a great driving school with the best staff. I was very fortunate to have two amazing instructors named Nikki and Angel and both have been very helpful in my driving journey. Nikki helped me learn the foundations of driving and gave me a better understanding of what to do and what not to do on the road. Unfortunately, I didn't pass my first road test because I wasn't 100% confident when it comes to parking. I felt that the method wasn't for me since I usually don't get it right. I scheduled another test appointment and had one week to prepare. This time, I didn't have Nikki and instead got a new instructor named Angel. All I have to say is If it wasn't for him and his guidance I wouldn't have passed my road test. He's very patient, and he makes it easy for everyone to understand how to pass the test. One thing I struggled with the most was parallel parking. With Angel's help, he helped me park with the easiest technique possible and made it super easy to park the car. During the road test, I did perfect parallel parking without any nerves and passed the road test with pure confidence. If you ever go to Zapiti I highly recommend Angel, he makes a good addition to the Zapiti team!

Fantastic experience: Adam is the BEST!! Definitely take lessons with him. He taught me how to park. I knew how to drive, but I wanted some lessons on how to park and his tips definitely helped me. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but great things to say about Zapiti Auto School. At 28 years old I had never driven a car before. I started off with a 10 class package and all my lessons were with Adam. He is WONDERFUL. I was terrified the first time I went behind the wheel but he is so patient and makes you feel comfortable and goes over everything. I didn’t pass the road test the first 2 tries but that was all my doing. I let nerves get the best of me each time. I did more lessons and Adam was so patient and and tried to help me keep calm the day of the test and I got it on the 3rd try! Fantastic experience: If you need to learn to drive and have the time to take the classes, it is totally worth the investment. I've been taking classes once or twice a week for four months and I learned how to drive confidently and safely. Make sure that you and the instructor get along and if you don't, then the ladies at the front desk will help you find the right fit. I passed my road test the first time I took it and I'm so excited to be driving this summer.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with the Zapiti team. I had very limited driving experience when I started my lessons - but my instructor Adam was kind, knowledgeable and patient and I felt very confident after just a few lessons. The team at the Zapiti office is a pleasure to work with. Prices are fair, and they are flexible with the payment schedule. I took a total of 13 lessons (to ensure I was not only ready for the test, but also completely comfortable driving). I passed on the first try and would highly recommend this driving school to anyone!

Positive experience: This is a good driving school if your instructor is Victor because he is the best. Victor is a very patient instructor and willing to help you when you make a mistake. Mimi is the other driving instructor (the Greek chubby lady with blonde hair) she is not patient at all and she gets very mean. When I was driving for practice Mimi got angry with me and had a nasty attitude with me when I made a mistake in driving. She is not supposed to give a bad attitude or be mean to driving students. How are the driving students supposed to have the courage to practice driving when the driving instructor Mimi is mean with a bad attitude? This is why I don't recommend this driving school to anyone. Unless your instructor is Victor.
