This school was super informative and they have the patience of saints. Even if you don’t use your CDL it’s a great thing to have and fall back on. So many opportunities by having your CDL. Instructors are GREAT!

Positive experience: Trucks need maintenance, only porta potties, $10,000. You don’t exactly get what you pay for. However the admission process was excellent, class managers are awesome, instructors and inspectors are freaking great. A lot of good, but has some kinks to workout to be a $10,000 program

Negative experience: The website says that the school has state of the art equipment. This cannot be further from the truth, the trucks are old and very raggedy. The automatic trucks and some of the manual trucks that are used on the yard do not have air conditioning, the trailers are very old so much so that you cannot open them because they probably wouldn’t close again without a crane. Being in the Georgia heat with temperatures well above 97 degrees, in those ovens that they call trucks was the absolute WORST!! The class size was too large, the student to instructor ratio is not desirable. The training yard is not big enough for all of the trucks to be in use at the same time which causes a lot of students to just sit around. Some of the instructors use very foul language and they can be very disrespectful and aggressive. The lodging at Candlewood is in an unsafe area and there were sketchy individuals hanging out in the parking lot which made me feel unsafe. The building where we meet for class discussions and to meet the carrier recruiter’s is a garage or an old warehouse (it’s just old) with no air conditioning. There are benches and broken hard, plastic picnic tables/chairs that are very uncomfortable to sit on. There are porta potties that we had to use and one bathroom that’s located in the garage. The only air conditioning at the facility is the office where the testers and instructors can hang out, there is absolutely NO air conditioning for the students. Ed is a really great instructor, he’s very clear and concise. Harry was always professional and he provided helpful advice and constructive feedback while on the road and the range. Bobby was patient and easygoing which made me feel comfortable when I made mistakes, he provided constructive feedback as well in a professional manner.

Fantastic experience: Extremely responsible, professional and knowledgeable. Extremely convenient and flexible with students. Plenty of one on one time with instructors. Plenty of employers/carriers to choose from and very informative. Would recommend any time to anybody.
