Negative experience: Extremely rude staff. I don't recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: My instructor’s Ramona and John were really helpful and kind.

Fantastic experience: I had a good experience at Columbus driving school. My scheduling was smooth, and I had a great instructor. Her name is Ramona Sockerson. She is the best. She is really calm and her lessons came in handy. She got good secrets to passing the driving test. She always made sure that I was calm and gave good stories and nice tours in very beautiful scenery. I had all my in car lessons with her and I highly recommend her. She is that one calm instructor who will not scream at you just because you made a wrong turn, or made a sudden stop because you panicked, she always said to me 'it's okay, keep driving, use your hazard lights, and so on. She is a nice lady.

Negative experience: If i could give less than 1 star i would. Covid19 may have slowed things but they could hire more people to accommodate the back log they have. Getting the “in class” part completed is easy, getting “in car” is near impossible. They are backed up 3-4 months. First drive for my daughter scheduled in Oct. Second, third, and forth not until JANUARY. They collect your money then hold you hostage

Positive experience: while going to drive for about 2 hours you want to be with someone who is comfortable with not only your abilities but there’s as well, I’ve seen a lot of errands being run, or just instructors on their phone checking for their “package” I’m here to give a very honest and sincere review to other teens like me looking to invest in drivers ed. When I started my first in car I had it with a older black lady (not going to name call) everytime I drove with her it felt as though I was messing up on my 3rd in car with her I ended up crying because instead of teaching and encouraging her student she did the complete opposite. I only had 2 good in car experiences that weren’t with her. 2nd in car experience I had was with an instructor called John, he was very patient and didn’t yell too much, when I had him for my in car it was raining heavily and we didn’t get to do my cone portion. With that being said at times he did seem to get ticked off when you couldn’t grasp something within seconds. My last and final in car was with Richard, he was very respectful I told him the things I struggled with while driving and how the maneuverability portion was the hardest for me to grasp, we spent about an hour practicing and it was the simplest way I’ve ever learned cones, especially if your a very anxious learner/ person in general. I ended up taking my license test and getting it first try. Goodluck to everyone else.

Negative experience: Can't get an in-car scheduled. The contract, as I was informed, only requires them to schedule within 6 months. It's gonna take every second of the 6 months, it seems. I will sue if they breach. If your teen needs a license asap, go elsewhere.

Negative experience: all together my incar experience was nothing but hectic. all of my lessons were with different people, and even though they all work at the same business they all teach you completely different things ? my very 1st incar was with dale overmeyer. this guy completely creeped me out. he asked me many personal questions and would get upset with me over little things. he asked me where i went to school and i told him that i go to a christian school and he laughed me at me & continued to tell me that he’s not religious and that there is no God; like he couldnt have kept his opionin to himself. he also gave me the vibe that he was recording me during the whole session. he would continuously check his phone and he always had his phone in his shirt pocket and angled towards me. my 2nd & 3rd incar appointments were with joseph landon. he was one of the nicest guys i was with. he was super calm and patient and he never raised his voice at me once. we worked on maneuverability, which i caught onto very quickly, and we drove on 270N during rush hour. my last incar was with john halley. this was one of the absolute worst experiences i’ve had at this location. first of all my appointment was supposed to start at 3 and so was another teenagers, but we really didn’t start driving until around 3:20 because john & another instructor were arguing over dumb things, like old men do, and they were cussing at each other in front of me and the other guy. then once we get in the car everything was normal. john asked for the paperwork and who my past instructors were, and then he told me that dale, my first incar instructor, got fired and he never fit in at the business and he sucked at his job; that was my first immediate red flag because that isn’t something you share outside of the company. then we finally drove over to the parking lot so we could go over maneuverability and later drive on country roads. well i’ve always struggled with knowing my lefts & rights, so as i was backing the car up through the cones i forgot what way to then the wheel. john then continues to slam his hands on his clip board and he told me that i should know what i’m doing. then he tells me that i need to figure it out myself or he has to take time out of his day so he can teach me the way he teaches maneuverability ??? my first thought was “um your the instructor & i’m paying YOU so YOU can teach me how to drive” every time i was to make a mistake, instead of him telling me where to put my hands he would grab my arms and put my hands on the steering wheel. even after i asked him multiple times to not touch me he would get rude and tell me that i’m not doing anything correctly. fast forward to after he teaches me his way on now to pull in and reverse on the left and right side, he then tells me that i need to do both sides 3 times by myself and he’d help me if i needed it. then he gets on his phone and starts watching golf ? by this time it’s around 4:45 and once again i forget what way to turn the wheel. he tells me to stop trying and put the car in park, and that i needed to switch places with him because he didn’t “feel safe” with me driving back to the building ? even though i drove from the building to the parking lot. he did nothing but yell and make rude comments to me on the ride back. he would laugh and tell me “have fun passing your drivers test when you don’t even know your lefts from your rights” and “it’s sad that your 16 and don’t know what way to turn the wheel” like yea i’m literally paying you so you can teach me, but instead he wants to make horrible comments acting as if i should be an experienced driver by now. then when he pulls into the parking lot and goes to park, he just about hit 2 cars trying to back into a parking spot. then he told my dad that we took up the whole time working on maneuverability, tries arguing with my dad about how big a Honda CRV is and even told us that everyone teaches diffferently. as soon as my dad and i left the place i cried. i do not recommend this place at all.

Negative experience: I did my last in-car here and the rest at pickerington, I'm a very high anxiety person and this gave me a panic attack. the instructor I had told me things my other instructors told not to do. When I made one slight error he shook his head, yelled at me, and slammed his hands on the clipboard. Then he decides to put "very anxious" on my paper, like yeah you're the reason for that, almost made me cry in the car. Miserable.

Fantastic experience: We experience nothing but professional, courteous, and friendly service from the time my son finished the online course until the last in-car drive. When I called in to schedule the first in-car, the woman on the found was very friendly and helpful in getting them scheduled with Robin. Robin was a FANTASTIC driving instructor. She went over and beyond getting my son ready for his driving test as close to his 16th birthday as she could. I would highly recommend Columbus Driving Academy for their teenage drivers.

Fantastic experience: Hello my daughter joined this Academy in May 2022, we have heard nothing but horrible reviews about this place, so I just wanted to give a positive spin on something that I personally witnessed on a customer service representative that works there, her name is Tikoya. I had allot of questions about my 16 year old daughter attending this program online and how long it would take, and questions about the certificate she would receive once she is complete. The representative not only answered my questions but the ones that she wasn't quite sure about with my daughter's hours she called me back to give myself the number to call and the website as well. Thats what called going over and beyond service. See we don't get that anymore, and when we do we should acknowledge it. So I thank you Ticoya my daughter will be there soon for a driver . She just passed

Negative experience: We experienced numerous obstacles and do not recommend this business to anyone. (1) We paid, in full, for the in-car lesson on June 24. We did not actually talk to a live person until the end of August. There were numerous games of phone tag and the scheduler for our area was not available whenever we called. The company uses an archaic scheduling system and you have to wait to talk to a live person in order to schedule your sessions. (2) During the 2nd lesson, the instructor (Richard Banks) referred to a teen driver in a local school’s parking lot and said, “I bet he has a ghetto license.” He made this racist remark twice in reference to a black male who was driving while eating. (3) When correcting our daughter on maneuvering around the cones, he reached across the driver’s seat and took control of the wheel, causing himself to be quite close to our daughter. Keep in mind, this was while they were practicing the cones and the action was not needed to avoid an accident. They were literally driving 5mph. When she asked him to just tell her where to place her hands versus becoming uncomfortably close, he told her this was just the way he did things. (4) While they were driving through a neighborhood he read a “Protect Women’s Rights” yard sign out loud and started laughing (as in to mock the sign). As with all sessions, my daughter and this instructor were the only two people in the car. Regardless of his political affiliation, he should not be sharing it when he has the power in the situation. He was completely out of line by using this platform to speak how he felt about women’s rights, especially during a time of instruction with a new, female driver. (5) During their last session, they stopped by a gas station. He paid at the pump but then entered the business to buy lottery tickets. Although not a huge issue, it adds to the already long list of cringe-worthy moments. The entire experience from booking to final session was one hiccup after another.

Negative experience: My daughter took the online class and passed it. I've been calling for months to schedule her in cars and haven't been able to speak with anyone. This place is really a joke and I would like my money back so I can send her somewhere else...... Shame on this company for taking a single parents money like this.

Negative experience: The worst. I struggle to say this business has the worst customer service, because they don’t have ANY form of customer service. Unprofessional. No customer service training of any sort. From receptionist to operations manager. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Take your money elsewhere!

Sathyam Sivam 3 years ago

Negative experience: We had very bad experience with the receptionist on interacting with us after registration. They talk nicely until registration and later they had bad attitude. We had to wait for 3 months after online sessions. The instructor was 77 years old and good in talking but was not flexible when requested for one situation. He asked us multiple times to adjust schedule but when it comes to us asking he showed bad attitude. The worst experience was when he comes and honks about his arrival. He sends text to reschedule and expect us to looks his text. We expect them to call for rescheduling. IMO, I wouldn’t recommend and encourage all of you to not go to them for Teen driving lessons.

Negative experience: Has not delivered on services paid for in advance. Rude staff. Scheduling drive time is a chaotic nightmare.

Gabriel Nutter 4 years ago

Negative experience: Was doing my final exam for the online test and while doing it I was 19 questions in out of 50, the website logged me out for a mandatory “break” every 2 hours. Get this. You can only do 4 hours every 24 hours so that’s a break at 2 hours and a shut down at 4. Anyways when it logged me out I logged back in and it said I had to wait 24 hours to redo the test because you can only do one in 24 hours…. So the site failed me for logging me out and made me use one of three redo tests. Tried calling but the closed. You do not need 2 breaks in between 4 hours. Very unprofessional.

Chim Onyia 4 years ago

Negative experience: Took the online class in summer of 2021 just to have my in cars scheduled to November. Now, an instructor is to tell me they want to reschedule? Do they not take into accounts that temporary permits expire? Hence the word “temporary”? I understand Covid has back logged everything but that could easily be resolved.

Negative experience: Don't use unless you have to! Took months to schedule my son only for the instructor to not be there for the last in car ...saying the time was 8am not 9am and that it's not her responsibility to confirm appointment. When I told her she could have called to let us know the time changed she hung up on me!!!! Don't use them unless it's the last resort. My son finished the classes in March and had to wait till this month to do the in car only to not have the instructor there today!!!! Rude rude rude!

Mads 4 years ago

Negative experience: Firstly, they never picked up their phone when I called, and they sometimes called back but never in a timely manner. Secondly, the driving instructor I had was almost 2 hours late to the first lesson. No communication whatsoever that they were going to be late or if they were going to show up at all. When they arrived, they honked their horn nonstop, and didn't even bother to give an explanation. Thirdly, during the lessons, poor , unsafe driving advice was given. I highly suggest that a 76 year-old should not be allowed to be a driving instructor. I shouldn't be paying so much for something such low-quality as this.

Kris Oneill 4 years ago

Negative experience: Very poor communication from this academy. You’d think paying in advance would allow you to be kept updated on what’s going on with your lessons. Nope, not here. I don’t know if they have more than one person working their reception desk but I was told one thing from one person and something completely different from another. This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, do better.

Negative experience: I don't know how to describe my experience except that I honestly don't think i've ever dealt with such poor customer service in my life. Rarely does anyone pick up the phone, and if they do, they make you feel like you're putting them out by asking a question. I don't think I've spoken to a single friendly person in the multiple times I've had to call. If I didn't absolutely have to do this for my son I would never give them my business ever again.

Negative experience: Paid for online and instructor certification in March of 2020. $379 in fact. They won’t respond to emails, phone calls, etc.. to schedule the instructor driving portion. Very disturbing. Nothing to show for the service they promised for the money I paid. Stay away from this company. Very sketchy. I’m going to talk to my attorney this week to see if I can get some of the money back.

Negative experience: Absolutely the rudest staff ever. Slow. Terrible experience 3 different times with 3 different kids. Do not use this company. For your own sanity. Would not honor a gift certificate we received for rude and unprofessional behavior.

Vince L 5 years ago

Positive experience: Very helpful. I started my classes around March 2019z. I had a situation when my permit expired in June 2019. And couldn’t get another permit till I was finished with my citizenship. I finally received my permit on the earlier this month. Took them awhile to get back at us. But good thing I didn’t have to restart my classes.

Da Real One 5 years ago

Negative experience: The online classes were overall good and was anticipating for 3 months to go for in-cars and got a driver instructor named Roy he is a horrible person rudest most unprofessional human being I've ever met and needs to be fired because he is ruining the representation of your company Columbus driving academy he cussed at me and yelled at me for something I did right and seemed impaired on drugs slurring and eyes bloodshot and was talking to himself I will never reccomend anyone to your facility for choosing to have that horrible of a person teach future drivers of this world how.to drive with stress and insults and verbal abuse.

Kim Browne 5 years ago

Negative experience: Used Columbus Driving Academy for both of my kids. It was fine. I only gave 2 stars because their system is not very user friendly. Class schedules should be posted online and updated daily. Each office has only limited hours and CDA routinely requires customers to CALL for information and assistance during these limited windows of time. Fully automate or offer more reasonable business hours.

Samantha Stone 6 years ago

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I waited over a month to get my first in-car. Then I had to reschedule the last two due to illness. I called my driving instructor, who told me to call him at a specified time to rescheduled. I called him at the appointed time and had to leave a voicemail. He never called back. I called the school and asked to set up the two driving lessons, which we did. And he never showed up for the lesson. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Negative experience: All of these negative reviews are correct. Unorganized office, rude staff, MONTHS long wait for in-car lessons. It's all true. This is coming from someone who completed all of their driving lessons from this school.

Negative experience: Don’t go here. They robbed people here. They charge around $260 for four hrs and didn’t sent me a certificate..... when BMV asked for adults certificates, I contract them they said they don’t do certificate.......DONT GO HERE!!!! Just wait until 17/18 yrs old.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience. We were able to knock out my daughter's classes within a week. However, the wait for in cars was horrendous. 1+ month between sessions. Called to ask about getting her in with a different instructor and was told the wait would be even longer. The person answering the phone was horribly unprofessional and told me he didn't have time to argue with me because he had a job to do. I asked to speak to a manager and was placed on endless hold. I will be spending my money elsewhere for my other 2 kids.

Fantastic experience: I can't say the whole process was a 5 star experience, but once we made it through to the in car.... My son's instructor--Dee was awesome! Very personable, dependable, and worked with her schedule and ours to get him the experience he needed to be completed! You rock Dee! Thank you!

Rebecca N 6 years ago

Negative experience: Unacceptably long waits for in-car sessions (2+ months for 1 session, then another 2 months for 2nd session) with unhelpful drivers who do not give corrections or instruction. Not a good teaching school. Last session cancelled by the driver and I was told I am being charged for the cancellation because my child consumed vitamin drops with B vitamins (only 10% of daily recommended amount by the FDA). The driver stated you cannot consume "vitamins and then operate a motor vehicle", and told my child that B12 will "make you feel high". They treated her as though she was drunk or a drug junkie, but in no way was she even slightly impaired. I am also reporting my experience with the BBB and Angie's List.

Negative experience: Go somewhere else worse place that I’ve had to deal with.Had to wait for 7 months for I cars when they told me it should take only 2 months. They tend to lie don’t trust them.

EBD 7 years ago

Negative experience: Nope. My daughter had the grumpiest, sexist older guy who spent most of the time berating her. I made several attempts for a new instructor but it is 'against their policy'.Years later and multiple renewals of her learner's permit, and she's still terrified to take the actual driving test. I can't imagine what other girls go through who aren't as outspoken and confident as she is. Look elsewhere.

David Pezzolla 7 years ago

Negative experience: The classroom portion works well and is flexible with the multiple locations. In car scheduling and dealing with issues is a terrible experience. In this day and age of scheduling using technology this company has outdated phone systems, scheduling methods, and overall terrible customer service. That combined with being severely understaffed creates a mess. Good luck getting anything done quickly and if an issue arises you a toast. Go elsewhere this place should limit customers until they get it together.

Fantastic experience: My son's experience with Columbus Driving Academy was nothing but positive. Fantastic experience: My experience at Columbus Driving Academy was by far the absolute BEST. I am 18 years old and always carried a fear of driving, I was scared of others cars and also just never had the knowledge of roadways until I signed up for drivers ed. All of the teachers during my 8 total classes were GREAT. Drivers Ed has been so hoepfully to me its almost as if I was never scared to drive. I came to drivers Ed probably the oldest there but, I didnt care I knew how bad I wanted to be a become a knowledgeable driver. After completion of the 7 classes I took the test which is class 8 and recieved a 92%, I knew I was ready to put my knowledge and everything they taught me to the test. JOHN was my instructor for my 4 in-cars the best, BY FAR. He does not hesitate to tell you when your doing something wrong but, he also give life lessons when explaining things. He never got upset during any 4 of my in-cars sessions but, also told me what to work on and such. I finished my in-cars with John on 9/13/18 and I went to Newark BMV on 10/02/18 and passed with only 1 point deduction. I appreciate everything John has helped me with as far as becoming a better driver and his way of teaching maneuverability is OUTSTANDING! I recommend Columbus Driving Academy to any child who is wanting to become a driver or anyone who is scared to drive. Let Columbus Driving Academy be of assistance, you wont regret it. I enjoyed them so much and John by far the best.

Negative experience: I took an abbreviated class 6/28 called and called for my certificate never heard back from anyone after the front desk lady continue to say she will call back! The receptionist is rude!!!!!!! She does not need to work in customer service if she does not have good attitude. She over talks and hangs up on you quick. I needed my certificate by 7/31 because i had court. I had to come in and track them down to get my certificate and even then they had no clue as to where it was. Deb is wonderful she was able to help me out and printed me my certificate and thanks to her I was able to take my test again and pass. Thank you so much deb now I have a licence and everything is taken care of. Deb is amazing!!!! Someone give that lady a raise

Negative experience: I sure wish I read these reviews before paying and sending my daughter. Trying to get someone to answer the phone, call you back is ridiculous. Sure don't mind taking the money. They changed the July schedule without telling anyone so when she showed up to take what she thought was one class was a totally different class, glad to know that it was one she hadn't already taken, but then the 8th class wasn't even on their schedule until I called and finally spoke with someone. Trying to get this in-car schedule is a joke. wish I could get my $$ back. very frustrating!!! Pay the extra $$ and go somewhere else!!!

Negative experience: Like the other complaints, this place is very unorganized and inefficient. The in class part went fairly smooth but then your chasing your tail trying to get someone to answer the phone and get in driving part in. Our instructor John was fabulous and willing to help out but unfortunately he is part time and will be done next week. I have no idea what we're going to do to finish the driving section. Do NOT USE THEM!

Negative experience: First of all, have to give at least one star to write a review other wise I would not even give this company a 1 star. I paid and signed my son up for just in car driving on May 8. First appt was cancelled by Col Driving Academy. We were promised to be moved up on the list to get scheduled sooner. June 19 was our 1st appt. Driver even commented to my son as to why he has been in the system so long without being scheduled. Now we can’t schedule again until August. I have called several times and no one answers. I have left several messages and no one returns my calls. I went to the office today and was told Adele would call me back today at 430 when she came into the office. It’s now 736 and no one has called me. The customer service is absolutely horrible and rude. Obviously they are happy to take your money but can’t provide a service. If we finish as scheduled, 4 months is absolutely ridiculous to schedule 4 appts!!!

Negative experience: My daughter finished her in class sessions at the beginning of April (the first week). She has still not been able to complete all of the in car sessions. We were told they were backed up and then a session was canceled. I called to see if we had other options as it was taking so long to get scheduled for the in car sessions. The first few times I called no one answered and then when they finally did answer, the person who answered the phone was rude and not helpful at all. Waiting three months to finish in car classes is unacceptable. I am very disappointed and I would NOT recommend this program to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This driving school does a great job. I love the way their classes are set up. It's perfect for kids with busy schedules. When it came time to do his in car lessons Adele went out of her way to fit him in a very busy schedule. We so much appreciated her willingness to work him in. 3 of my 4 kids went through this driving school, my oldest did not. I really wish I had know about this program for her too.

Negative experience: in class instruction was great (from reynoldsburg) but as far as properly reaching out to people to let us know that class was cancelled, EXTREMELY poor. In-car instructor didn't show up at the time scheduled and of course I couldn't reach the office NOR the instructor.

Positive experience: Adele was a great driving instructor. She was very friendly and patient .

Negative experience: This has been a very very stressful experience. I look forward to speaking with the owner of this place. I have never had to go to BBB on any organization, but I have no other choice. This has caused a great amount of stress on myself and my son. People who pay, and have been so respectful and patient as we have been should not have to endure the extreme disrespect that we have received. Very Very Very Disappointed! I strongly recommend that you take the postings on this place very serious. A. First day showed up on time. B. 2nd appt., said they had to take husband to emergency and cancelled less than an hour of appt. c. 3rd appt. a few minutes before appt. instructor rescheduled appt due to weather, which was not bad at all. d. 4th appt, cancelled less than 10 minutes before appt. because of the flu, said they were in the hospital. e. 5th appt. cancelled 5 minutes AFTER the appt. time... said they were having an asthma attack and will have to reschedule. f. 6th appt. (last session) scheduled. Did a no show, did not contact us, did not respond to my text of phone calls the day of the appt. MIA literally! I called the office and left a message. Hopefully I get a call back, and a full refund. I still have the text and will share with those I need to share this very stressful experience with. Unacceptable. Period.

Negative experience: The first in-car experience my granddaughter had with this driving school was horrible. BRANDON is the worst excuse for a driving instructor EVER! We were so upset when we were informed it would be several weeks to get a different instructor. They already had our money and would not give a refund of any kind. We waited 3 weeks and were set up with another instructor who by the way was AMAZING his name is RANDY. This actually did make up for the horrible excuse of a driving instructor BRANDON. I know we can't be the only people to complain about this guy and his rude attitude. This is all I have to say other than This company needs to be thankful that they had the good sense to hire people like Randy. This does give you cause to wonder which of the driving instructors is the norm.

Negative experience: The lady that answered the phone was so quick to get me off the phone. She was very rude. Why would I sign up and you have poor customer service like that. I would not never recommend anyone to this driving school.

Negative experience: Highly unprofessional office. The woman at the front desk pretended to look for crucial papers needed by my daughter in order to take her drivers test. She then went on to talk bad about us with her coworkers a few feet away from us. Not to mention the driving instructor my daughter had was not very patient, which you would expect from someone who drivers with beginners for a living. 0/5 would not recommend escpecially with their pricing.

Negative experience: If I could rate without a star I would, because an instructor should show to a allocation for this company to at least receive a star. I am a student that has passed the courses and graduated from this academy, but boy did I have to put in effort. I showed up to the classes like every other student, I did my work, stayed off my phone, and followed the rules. I suppose that wasn't enough. I was shamed in class for not being an organ donor because it was against my religious views, yelled at in the car by one of the instructors (Mary), and I was ordered to take a remedial juvenile class but nobody showed to location. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company, they don't answer phone calls, are extremely rude, and have no organization. 0/10. Id rather throw myself off of a bridge then try to go to this company for ANYTHING.

Negative experience: I refuse to pay for any driving lessons here. Some instructors are kind, but I have seen one old man in particular who will make kids sit in the car while he spends time scratching lottery tickets!!! Unacceptable!!! If you are going to pay hundreds of dollars, the instructors should be spending time instructing, not spending 30-45 minutes running in and out of a gas station to play scratch offs! I expect better, especially in a location like Gahanna.

Negative experience: My daughter had a horrible experience here. Got stuck with an 'instructor' who barely looked up from her cell phone the entire time my daughter was driving. Gave my daughter a lot of bad information which caused her issues during her driving test. With behavior like this, I would be surprised that they actually use certified drivers. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: We used them for my daughter and now my son. Reynoldsburg office is very good to take your classes, they are very nice and welcoming

Negative experience: Different instructors each class - hard for a teen to get the feel of any particular one. Classes were sporadic in scheduling. The Gahanna office was extremely unprofessional. We saw students sitting out in the hot sun until way after 6:15 pm and the doors were locked. Class times are 6-9pm!!

Fantastic experience: The Teachers were so nice, they made this so easy for my family. My daughter doesn't have to the classes in order so this was very helpful when it came to our busy schedules. The price was the cheapest that I found on the West side of Columbus. I am very happy with this business.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough instructor. Our instructor covered everything with my student, including highway driving. Instructors come to your home (or another prearranged place) to pick up your student. The instructor was always prompt. She had great communication and gave excellent feedback with the students and parents. It was totally worth making the trip to REynoldsburg to sign up.

Negative experience: It would be nice if their hours matched what shows on Google - Fridays are 9-3, not 4 as it states.

Fantastic experience: Used this Columbus Driving Academy service for my daughter, they were very comprehensive and extremely flexible as she had a terrifically busy schedule. They offer a plethora of classes that are available at different locations and times to get everything in. Unlike other places, you don't have to start over if you miss a class as well as you don't have to take them for one/two weeks straight, so much more flexibility! While much of it is common sense and tedious at times for the younger set, this needs to be drilled into new drivers for their own protection and for those they will be joining who are already on the road. It was worth every penny we had to scrape up. While Parents are the best influence on a teen's driving habits (and there are new technologies out to help with compliance), they will get out of it at least some semblance of what could happen if they are not careful and attentive drivers. An instructor who goes by "Bill" from Lancaster area was a driver my daughter did very well with - he has a way of articulating each step in a way I couldn't, much less frustrating for the new driver. Now "Bill" will instruct my older son, who before this time didn't have an interest in driving - and hopefully, he will also be there for my youngest later this year. :)

Positive experience: Very convenient and flexible. Busy high school students at Watkins continually recommend to underclassmen, as they can attend when and where they have the opportunity while not having to sacrifice sports, clubs, work, etc. In-cars wonderful, as student schedules times as well as pick-up and drop-off locations directly with the instructor.
