Fantastic experience: i would highly recommend this class to anyone wanting there motorcycle license john and Marcel are amazing coaches and they'll show you how to do it right and explain everything you need to know this class is extremely affordable and i would definitely recommend it

Fantastic experience: Aside from getting the endorsement you can expect to be introduced to motorcycle riding skills. You can take that with you and further develop said skills on your own. The coaches will get you moving in the right direction. The experience exceeded my expectations. Just get there on time!!

Negative experience: Where do I begin? The motorcycle course owner/realestate salesman "Jim" was very off-putting and egocentric. He looks and sounds just like Joe Exotic with a perm. For some reason, this fellow felt compelled to lie to us and threaten us that "there were cameras everywhere". Then he even tried to tell us that he had people hiding watching us on the practice course. Not sure what that was about but he clearly has had troubles in the past. His helper coach "John" was extremely rude and gave terrible instructions then would speak very condescendingly to new riders and experienced riders alike. John also needs to learn how to operate a toothbrush and mouthwash. Both mornings his breath was very disgusting. As a firearms safety instructor it was very hard to witness his behavior towards paying customers. I aslo seen alot of unsafe practices on the course. They had brand new riders that couldn't operate motorcycle at all constantly pulling directly behind eachother. Getting your motorcycle endorsement as PAYING customer, should be a SAFE, fun and exciting time. I would highly recommend traveling out of the area to a different school and getting hotel if needed. The owner also mentioned "that we were lucky, because Himself and John were the two most patient coaches there". I would hate to see the impatient ones!!! Everyone seemed to pass his course, even the ones that couldnt ride very well. I have a friend taking his course in a month. If he can correct this behavior by then, I will reconsider this review otherwise, my friend will also act accordingly. This review is only based upon my opinion

Fantastic experience: I was in the class with this Swayze character and had a markedly different experience. The coaches were patient and professional. I give them props for making the two days fun and engaging.

Negative experience: They're the only class in the county and it shows. They are rude and talk down to people. The course itself is ridiculous and misinformeing.

Fantastic experience: Both coaches, Missy and Jim, were hands down amazing! Huge amounts of patience with brand new riders. HUGE! They explained everything and demonstrated so we understood what was expected. Corrections were gentle and very helpful. I recommend this place to ANYONE! Thanks to Jim and Missy for the past 2 days!!!

Positive experience: This place was great except for Jim. I guess it's his school so that makes him better than others. First day I was being told to to slow down by one instructor then I get to next instructor and he would tell me to speed up. Then on the test they had us take a right hand turn at a complete stop, we did not practice this at all. So I got some cones and was marked was given points for it. Then as soon as I show up on second day him doesn't even speak to me. Every time it was my turn he literally walked away. Never instructed me on what I was doing wrong. Charlie did and because of Charlie I kept as smile on my face and didn't let Jim get to me. He was telling others stories about riding and helping each person until it was my turn. Then he would walk away again. I paid almost 200 bucks for this class and I deserved to be taught. I was taking the criticisms well by Charlie. . I wasn't being offended when I was told to do something right. I was there to learn. I had no idea what I was doing! Why do you need to speak to us like idiots. I would also recommend driving further of Sarasota is your only option. Jim was very rude, made me feel stupid and refused to help me learn.

I would suggest this place to anyone looking into getting their liscense! ALSO when you pass they give you a voucher for the exact amount you spent on the class, its good for a bunch of dealerships in the area! i had a great time and would go again if i needed it! even considering the advanced riders course!

Fantastic experience: I took this course March 5 and 6 and I can't recommend it enough. The class portion of the course was very informative, fully educating you on motorcycles, riding, and safety. They use a video to guide discussion. The best part is getting out on the range! I was nervous but Marcel and Victor were AMAZING, immediately setting me at ease!!!! They started with the basics (properly turning on a bike, working a clutch, riding straight lines, etc) and in two days you feel quite confident in low speed maneuvers (turning corners, u-turns, figure 8, going over/around debris in the road, back and forth between cones, etc.). Marcel and Victor provide a wealth of information, tons of positive support/guidance, and most of all, they make it sooo fun with their sense of humor, playing off each other. I was actually sad the class was over after two days because I enjoyed it so much. By the time you are done with the classroom & range instruction, you are fully prepared to take the written and range tests. If you can schedule with Marcel and Victor as your instructors, you will certainly have the BEST experience. Look no further, take this course!

Jim was very articulate and knowledgeable, explained the materials and provided real life experiences. Coach Victor was very engaging, making us comfortable and easing off our nervousness on the range. The coaches put emphasis on safety, ensured that tests are honest and based on our knowledge. Fantastic experience: Jim was a great introduction, serious, sincere, and honest about the safety and dangers of riding for the first time (not to mention an impeccable and illustrious vocabulary.) John our range Coach was direct and all business, treated everyone fairly, requiring us to take all protocol, drills, and test seriously, by the book, and professionally. Marcel was a joy and he made the experience fun, engaged with everyone, and really connecting with the group which helped us as riders to listen keenly and learn. Over all this was a great experience, I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking to get better at riding, find their endorsement, or just wanting to learn to ride better and safer. Negative experience: Diddo on what several others wrote about the way they were spoken to in class. I did make a mistake, no question about it. I braked too hard, fell over and due to not thinking clearly after that shock I tried to right the bike without first hitting the kill switch. I did hit the kill switch before trying to pick up the bike a second time. Both instructors lost their temper. Jim levied several abusive insults and then I had to endure belittling insults three more times later in front of the whole classroom! I tried to defend myself saying that even though I had experience riding that I had no prior experience spilling over. I believe I was the third person to drop a bike in that class so it must not be uncommon. Yet there was no prior instruction on what to do if you do drop a bike, i.e. step 1 hit the kill switch. Jim, instead of taking any responsibility for that omission told the class that if I never spilled before you aren't pushing your limits. What kind of non sensical logic is that? So it was also my fault for having no experience spilling over? Racing on a track, sure, but even one spill on a public road could be life threatening. I passed the class with no further problems, but my recommendation is to drive a little further if necessary for a class with respectful instructors.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the 2 day basic course. The money was right. Jim and Missy were exceptional in there training. Made it fun and enjoyable. Although I have been riding awhile they brought me back to reality. Can't say enough. But make sure you smile.

Fantastic experience: I took the basics course and had a blast. I've never been on a street bike before and left the course feeling confident in the basics. Exceptional instructors - Jim and Missy take a serious approach to motorcycle safety.They mix in fun but don't expect to it to be Disney Land; they have two short days to help you develop the right type of muscle memory to stay safe on the road. I highly recommend this course and these instructors.

Fantastic experience: Very very professional a very very good class to take very professional and riding drills very professional teachers that will help you through all of the riding drills and they are very helpful with the test but they will not put up with no nonsense which I really I think that is a professional way to go about everything I could sit here and talk all night about the class and the teachers I cannot say how much I really appreciate everything they had taught me and I know the laws more better than I used to I just wanted to say thank you for the classroom teacher and all of the writing teachers they are all very professional keep the good job up thank you so very much

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had the privilege of taking the basic motorcycle safety course this weekend at Ride Safe USA. I'm not usually quick to write a review, but these people are incredible! In a world where professionalism and customer service are steady declining, this staff provided the Disney Experience!! I recommend this place 100%. It wasn't just one staff member, but all of them that went over and above! I'm very impressed and appreciative.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to use Ride Safe by Alexs at Sarasota mopeds and scooters. What a great suggestion. I had not ridden a motorcycle in 40 years and it was one of those things "I know everything". Jim and the other instructors were fantastic and I quickly learned I knew nothing from the "old days". They were very patient and very clear in their instructions and how and what to look out for on the highways. I have recommended this class to friends who have just purchased a scooter from Sarasota Mopeds and have successfully completed the course and are certified. Keep up the great work and thank you for your understanding and patience.

I went to this school knowing absolutely nothing, I was a passenger on my husband's bike so I took the classes as an emergency just in case I need to take over for my husband. Fantastic experience: Bradford King, This course is a must. I am currently 53 yrs old and have been riding since I was 6 yrs old. I learned more about road safety in 2 days than my previous knowldge of 35 years. The instructors were excellent and patient. I am looking forward to putting what I have learned for years to come. Fantastic experience: Experienced instructors coach anyone from moped Millennials to Grandpa's Angels to make them street legal. Most of the time is spent actually riding and learning real skills for safety and control of your bike. I am a relatively experienced rider and I can't believe how many useful tips I learned. Charlie was amazing at giving us good feedback every step of the way. He also is fluent in Spanish and has a textbook and test in Spanish for those folks that no habla Englese.

Fantastic experience: Let me first say, that I read some negative reviews and hesitated for just a moment before signing up- I was offered a course "wherever" as a birthday gift, but was curious about the polarity of experiences here and the worst-case scenario, I figured, I'd have to be patient and only be around these guys for two days. Well, long story short, they feel like family. Jim is an amazingly intuitive, patient, and genuine human being who will bring out your confidence and competency, even if you don't think you're starting with it. He's the Merlin to the student's Arthur. Marcel is hilarious, patient, kind, and doesn't skip a beat when you do- he just knows exactly where to be encouraging to keep you going- your next move after a line of his coaching doesn't just get you back up to speed, but just past it. They are both also bring years of experience riding and coaching, and have a full-disclosure angle of sharing their multifaceted lives on motorcycles- things you can't find in a manual or YouTube. This pair together will undoubtedly put a smile on your face whether or not you are successful in the course, but it's doubtful their training will let you fall short. I'm normally pretty socially reserved, but made a few actual friends and surprised myself in more ways than one. I highly recommend this class for training in life in general. Do yourself a favor and take any class RideSafe offers, it's a privilege you shouldn't miss.

Fantastic experience: Don't worry about the negative reviews on here. Clearly the people who didn't absolutely enjoy themselves didn't leave their ego's at the door. Jim and Marcel are the kindest most understanding gentleman I've encountered in a long time. We had a full class (12) and everyone of us passed. More than half was their first time throwing a leg over one. I've rode off and on for the last 10 years and it made me real happy to see the novices actually enjoy themselves and not have their nerves get to them. I learned a lot and even gained a few friends (hopefully riding buddies) through this experience and highly recommend it to anyone that either already knows how to ride or is looking to get into it.

Negative experience: Jim and Charlie taught the class. Jim was condescending, rude, and made several mistakes that he then blamed on the class for not listening. Charlie was fun, knowledgable and engaging. Content was good, classroom delivery of the content was terrible. I would not recommend you attend this facility. I was not going to write this review, but took a few minutes to read other reviews.... and realized that this has happened multiple times.

Negative experience: Took my basic rider course here and wish I would have went anywhere else with an MSF certification. Both instructors Missy and Jim were very off-putting with how they spoke to me and other students. I was spoken to like if I was a child when I did everything they asked safely. There was puddles all over the course which did not feel safe. One of the bikes also broke down mid course on one of the students... I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!

Negative experience: The instructors for this course were so Incredibly rude and condescending! Everyone that I took the class with would just look at each other like "Did they really just say that?" Missy and Jim made my Basic Rider Course experience terrible. I Felt VERY disrespected by both instructors on multiple occasions. For example I had Jim ask me if I "need medication" for sitting up in between exercises and trying to fix my pants ... then proceeded to yell asking me "how old are you?" and called me a child multiple times under inappropriate circumstances. I am 22 year old guy by the way. Both instructors talked down to me and tried to berate me in front of the whole class. The conditions of the parking lot were hazardous as well, many puddles and rubble all over the place made me very nervous to ride on. Both instructors did not make me feel wanted as a customer paying almost 200$ for their service provided. DO NOT DO NOT go here for your BRC do your self a favor and go somewhere where you will be treated with respect.

I was very nervous as a new driver but they made me feel very comfortable were awesome and I can't thank them enough.Highly recommend this course

Fantastic experience: The material is presented in an interesting and engaging way. The exercises on the range are challenging for new riders, but the rider coaches help make sure you get it right. I highly recommend this MSF location location. Once I have a lot more experience, confidence, and seat time I'll be back for the advanced course.

Negative experience: If you've never been on a motorcycle, don't bother with this BRC class. Go find a friend with a bike who will let you practice in a parking lot. At least there you will have time to learn how the clutch, throttle, and brake work together. Everything was rush rush to the next series of exercises. I walked out after 2 hrs. My husband toughed it out. The two class days combined were 4 hrs shorter than the time they said it would take to complete them. I guess we didn't need to rush as much as they thought. Missy was nice, but the other instructor was a jerk. I never want to see a motorcycle again after this.
