Fantastic experience: I recently took driving lessons at ABLE 2 Driving School and had a fantastic experience with Instructor Glenn. From the beginning, Glenn was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable, making sure I felt comfortable behind the wheel. The car provided for the lessons was in excellent condition, easy to drive, and equipped with all the necessary features. Glenn was great at explaining each step of the driving process, from basic controls to more advanced techniques, which made me feel confident and prepared. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone looking to get their license. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here, would highly recommend! I was on a time crunch and needed to get my license soon, and they were able to accommodate me in a creative way. Jason especially is a great coach , he’s thoughtful , kind , and is great at teaching the techniques who goes out and beyond to help his students . He even showed me a satellite picture of what a particular turn would look like. 10/10 experience

Negative experience: Too overly dramatic and over exaggerated on how most driving lessons were done. They try to have to make you get and purchase more lessons than you have to.

Fantastic experience: I have officially passed my road test with the help of able 2 driving school I would have not been able to pass it on my own without them!!! 2021 was the start of me coming to able 2 driving school help with my “horrendous driving skills” at the time I wasn’t the best driver. I didn’t have the confidence, courage, bravery back then. I wouldn’t be were I i’m today if it wasn’t for all these amazing driving instructors I’ve had over the years! I passed my road test on the first try! I wanna give a huge shout out to Art and many others that’s made it possible for me. And that has helped me through out the years on my driving! Thank you!!

Negative experience: The hands-on driving lesson was really great!!! I love the coach, he's patient, and nice. I've never thought about I can drive in busy streets with confidence at the first time driving in my life. The experience was really good! But I want to talk about 5-hour pre-licensing course here, don't get me wrong, it's the one online. Before the lesson, they send me a really long email with how strict the rules will be for this course, well I guess that's fair, since this class is a DMV required. But the worst thing is, I literally accommodate my entire day schedule for this shit, and I first joined the class around 4:25pm (the class starts at 4:30), I stayed in there for about 20 minutes until 4:45, there was a tab poped up saying Zoom application not responding, which I think happen really often, and I have to opt out, then go back into the meeting right? I went back into the waiting room of the meeting on 4:46, literally the next minute cuz I checked the time. I wait until 4:56 and still wasn't letted in, I started wondering why, and then called their service number. They were saying that the instructor won't let me in anymore because I missed too much. Of course that's not my problem, and their service agent is happy to reschedule me to another time, but the instructor's arrogance was really disgusting. All he said was "it didn't pop up on my screen, and he missed too much". Well, I joined back into the waiting room 30 seconds after, he didn't let me in for next 10 minutes and saying "I" am the fault of missing too much. Funny

Negative experience: I got 9 classes from able2. I am listing the pros and cons below. pros: 1. Mike Masella is a good instructor. Cons: 1. Cars are very old and dangerous 2. They say it is one hour class, but they never did cross 45 minutes 3. They change the instructors, and their teaching patterns are completely different (and sometimes contradictory ) from each other. 4. There is a long queue if you want to ever change your day 5. They told me over and over again that I would need more classes, but when at the end I told them that I would not take any more class from them, suddenly they were ok with me giving exams with their car. I suspect this is a way to keep customers. I learnt much more from practicing with my friends car, and gave exam at the time when they told me that I am not ready and passed.

Fantastic experience: Where do I even begin!!! I’ve been with Mick the whole summer here and there taking lessons and he’s by far the best instructor EVER!!! He made me feel beyond confident, he makes you feel relaxed a confident EVERY TIME you’re behind the wheel!! I have the absolute WORST anxiety ever and boy did he make me comfortable behind the wheel!! I HIGHLY recommend him as your instructor I passed my road test first time around with little to any mistakes!!!! Mick when you see this thank you so so so much, your out here changing lives I couldn’t be more happy that I got to meet you and learn from you!!! After 22 years I’m finally able to confidently say I’m ready to drive !!! Thank you to all the AMAZING staff, they are beyond understanding and motivational!! Fantastic experience: I had a hard time with driving and parents not willing to teach me. We called able told them where I was struggling and set up a lesson plan that worked for me. Mick was my Driving Instructor great guy and very knowledgeable on the road, even gave me some tips that helped me get a grip on driving quickly. If I had to get my license again for any reason I would definitely go through ABLE 2.

Fantastic experience: I write to recommend ABLE 2 driving school to anyone who needs to build their confidence in driving and gain the exact experience needed to pass the road test. I spent years away from the road and came back to NY with an expired license. I took the 5-hour class and that's when I realized this business was going to be helpful in getting me to pass. So I booked a lesson. Art was great, non-judgmental, and cleared me to get the road test. The day of the test, we had another private lesson and reviewed the parallel parking which was of utmost concern. The way they taught me was precise and I passed my test that day! I came back to tell Jason (the owner) that I would recommend his business to anyone who needed it. And here I am writing this review. GO WITH ABLE 2 DRIVING SCHOOL! The staff is professional, helpful, and they really do remove the anxiety associated with poor driving. They give specific tips you won't know on your own (like the YouTube video that follows the Syracuse road test), parallel parking in a small vs. bigger car, when to just let go of the brake or use the accelerator correctly, where to scan your eyes during the test, etc. TOTALLY WORTH the 2-courses and car rental. I PASSED! THANK YOU Art and the rest of the team!

Fantastic experience: I just got my license kinda late in my life and everyone there was very patient and friendly. I don't have a car yet and there is an affordable package that includes using the car you practice in for the test. Definitely recommend this school

Jason's sincerely arrangement and Darryll instructed me technique to easier passed my driving road test, I learnt 5 lessons I could got my driver license within 50days! I recommend if anyone want to apply driver license, whatever they have driver license holder to guild their driving learning, find Able2 Driving School help for your application, 5 hours course certificate, and learnt how to get hints to easy passed road test are helps for save time and get more technique for safety drive. Fantastic experience: Thank you to everyone at this school ! I passed my Road Test on the second try unfortunately I got too nervous on the first attempt . My instructor mike that I did the 9 lessons with wasn’t able to take me to my second test I believe Glenn took me for my warm up lesson and test today so a special thank you to both Mike and Glenn , & also Jason in charge of scheduling the lessons and road Tests and the people that call to remind students of their lessons.

Negative experience: My 5-hr Instructor was very rude and passive aggressive, I understand that its a class but still. People had no cameras on and were unmuted but I was outed out cause my dog had jumped on me (I removed her the second he told me too) but this didn't stop it, he proceeded Tell me this was my final warning?? cause my camera wasn't as low as he wanted it to be and if we were gonna have a problem? He wasn't respectful and was out of line to the way he was talking to people and to me as well.

Fantastic experience: I bought the $455 lesson package (5 lessons + 1 road test rental) and took all my lessons under Mike. He is an amazing teacher and worked with me to cover my weak spots. I was so impressed, I bought an extra lesson before my road test. Overall, I definitely recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for ABLE 2 Drive. When I called them I wasn’t sure I was gonna be able to do it, I was a nervous wreck! The whole team gave me so much hope and assurance. They worked with me and prepared me for the best and the worst. The day of my test Me and My Instructor cracked a few jokes to shake my nerves and put me in happier spirits. Fantastic experience: I just passed the driving test! I brought the rental for the road test and six private lessons. I got what I paid for. My first session did not go as I had hoped because I wanted to switch instructors(for reasons). Jason (the owner) called and reassured me that I could switch instructors! In which I did, and got Jim! He was fantastic; he constantly answered any questions I had and taught me how to parallel park (which I hated), and some more important stuff. Overall, I heartily endorse this location and my driving teacher, Jim, to any kid who intends to take their road test in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I will love and recommend this school forever now especially to adults because of how amazing they were every step of the way with me. The owner, Jason Rockwell, addressed any and every issue I had. I was lucky enough for him to be my instructor and I am forever grateful that he took me on because he was sooooo knowledgeable and professional and friendly he genuinely treated me with so much kindness, patience, and respect throughout every single interaction, question, and hesitancy I had. I loved our lessons because we would talk about some hilarious stuff and he always kept my nerves as low as possible. He never talked to or treated me like I was dumb when I asked a thousand questions or messed something up repeatedly. He taught me so many cool tips and tricks and I think part of me is going to hear his voice in my head every time I park my car ever again lol. Also, because of how amazing and patient he was with me, I was able to pass my road test on my FIRST try at 25 years old having grown up in NYC that was a BIG deal for me! He is awesome. Period. And also I just want to add that Donna at the front is so kind and sweet and helpful as well, she made the whole experience great too and I enjoyed seeing her as well when i would come in. Its bittersweet bc they're so awesome I passed and I'm happy but I will miss this place. <3 Im taking my 6 hour defensive driving here as well and am looking forward to it. Coming from someone who is as picky as me, this place is the real deal! :)

Fantastic experience: When I was a teen my mom paid full packages for me and my older sister. My older sister only learned though the classes and has never been in a crash, I learned though friends and had my fair share of incidents but after taking these lessons I did great and passed my first try at my road tests. It’s been years but I’m happy to say I just paid for my little sister to take these classes too, she learned from her friends and is a very scary driver. She didn’t listen, got a car, and crashed within two weeks of having her car so hoping able driving will help her so she never gets in an accident like that again and can pass her test so she drives with a license instead of a permit! Just thought I’d give 5 stars for how nice the staff are and the good communication between them!

Fantastic experience: Both of my teens passed their road test on the first try and I give credit to Jason (5hr course and lesson) with my first child, and then Jason (5 hr) and Glen (lesson) for my second. Both fantastic and personable instructors. Specifically with my younger daughter who took the test yesterday, she said that what Glen taught her during their lesson helped her achieve a near perfect score on the road test. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: If someone in your family needs professional and personal attention in order to improve their driving skills, this is the place to go. Raven and Jason were amazing . They answered numerous questions even when no one in my family was paying for lessons. Please see their web page, and know for $20 you can purchase video lessons and brief written material to help you or a family member become a better driver. However, I recommend you also obtain some actual lessons with Glenn , one of the instructors. Glenn showed again and again that having an experienced teacher was definitely worth the money. The individuals here really want to help your family or yourself satisfy DMV requirements and pass that road test. Glenn, Jason and Raven give 100 percent and more for their customers.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had been driving with a permit for a while when I decided I didn't want to teach her how to parallel park. lol I signed her up with Able for one of their packages that included the lessons, the 5-hour course, the appointment and the instructor to bring her to the road test. I figure when it came down to the point where she was ready to get her license, learning from someone other than a relative was the way to go. Everyone is the office is professional and courteous. They are helpful, organized, and get back to you in a timely manner every time. My daughter loved her instructor, Mike, and enjoyed going every week. Mike did a great job, as she passed her road test today! She was very emotional after the test because the person who conducted the test was less than friendly. She had thought for sure she had failed. Jason took the time to check on it before we did and called with the good news. He made her day. Putting in the extra effort like that is why I would recommend Able to anyone who is considering driving lessons. (I have twins turning 16 in August. Get ready guys!) A big thanks to Mike for teaching her, Jason for being great, and the girls for being so nice and helpful. Thank you! : )

Positive experience: The people who work here are nice enough and my son liked his instructor, however, if I had it to do over again, I'd keep my money. We dropped just shy of $700 with the end result being my son failing his test which I could have accomplished for free. Further, this school no longer picks up and drops off (which they say is due to COVID, but c'mon). consequently, you wind up spending hours of your own time shuttling your kid back-and-forth to driving school at inconvenient times for people with jobs. One last thing I'll mention is that I felt a little "bate-and-switched" on having to buy an extra lesson. I bought one of their packages, and as part of the package, the deal was that they would take him to his test. When it came time to schedule the road test, they informed me that we had "used all of his lessons" and I would have to buy another one. It seems to me they should have told me that when I was scheduling his "last" lesson and wasn't going for the road test. Perhaps this was an honest mistake, but if other people reading this have the same experience, then it is just a way to squeeze a few more pennies out of their customers. I suppose had he passed, I likely wouldn't be mentioning it as I would have seen the time and money as worth it. However, I am down several hundred dollars and 12 hours of my own time taking him to and from school, and have nothing to show for it. Bottom line: If you have no way to teach your kid yourself, or dropping $700 for possibly no actual benefit doesn't faze you, then I suppose this isn't a terrible option. For me, I have one more kid who will need a license in a few years, and I'll teach him myself.

Fantastic experience: Joining Able 2 Driving School is one of the best decisions I have ever made. My instructor was very patient with me and helped me calm and boosted my confidence before the test. The classes here are not just to get the license; but I learned to be a careful driver on the road. The instructor(s) were very considerate. As an international student here they helped me get familiar with the road rules of US. And the mandatory 5-hour online class was also very helpful to understand the driving rules. It's a great investment if you are new to driving here.

I had a great experience and instructor which her name is Kathy was very helpful and patiently help me with everything I needed to learn very informative and positive. Negative experience: I'm sure people have had great experiences here, but I want to represent another perspective from my demographic... As someone who doesn't have much access to a car outside of lessons (and has some fears about driving), I didn't experience enough patience from my driving instructors. Other factors may have been at play. The five-hour class was fine.

Positive experience: I spoke to Jason he assured me that the next class will be full and I will be able to take it. He was very helpful. I have read the reviews and everyone really enjoys this class.

Fantastic experience: Took driver ed here about 10 years ago. I believe my instructors name was sean. He was professional, knowledgeable and very funny. He was a great teacher and 10 years later I'm still accident free.

Fantastic experience: I had decided to get my license as a college graduation gift for myself. I had gotten the RT-3 package and was able to feel ready in no time. All of their instructors are heavily invested in your success and are knowledgeable about driving rules. They have given me a lot of helpful tips that no longer make me fearful behind the wheel.

I was in a bad car accident over 10 years ago and wanted to shake off the anxiety and get more comfortable driving. I paid for the highest package that they had available and I would recommend it for anyone who really wants their license. Fantastic experience: Absolutely the most positive driving experience I've ever had the pleasure of undertaking. As someone who struggles every day with clinical anxiety, the calm and controlled nature of the course was worth every penny. I came to Able 2 Driving School after having not driven for 3 years. I was somewhat in practice because I was forklift certified at the job I had at the time, but a forklift does not compare to a car. Due to my mental situation, stress is something that I don't have an easy time dealing with, especially in a short amount of time. My instructor kept a positive, calm demeanor even when I was struggling at my worst. I STRONGLY recommend going to Able 2 Driving School and going the extra mile for the road test package. A new driver will 100% leave with all the skills necessary to get out on the road alone. 5 stars, I'd give six if I could.

Fantastic experience: This was probably the best investment ever. I was shy of my 30th birthday when I began taking lessons. I had recently relocated from NYC where i relied on public trans. I needed to get my license ASAP. I cannot emphasize this enough! This will be the best driving school you’ll find. The instructors are emphatic, honest and wonderful teachers. In a few lessons—certainly less than I originally expected—I was able to obtain my license. The part I am most thankful for—in addition to the actual lessons—it’s that your taught the importance of being a vigilant driver. Classes here are not just to pass your license; instead you learn how to be a practical, respectful and careful driver while on the road. I would encourage anyone to take lessons, and pay for the road test package. I was so nervous when i started taking lessons and within a couple of weeks I became a confident driver. Thank you Jason and Mike! The able 2 driving school team is fantastic and super accommodating. A true gem.

Fantastic experience: Both our kids took lessons from Able 2 Driving School. A friend of ours recommended Able 2 and we were not disappointed. Cathy was the instructor most recently for most of the lessons. She was a great instructor and we could tell that there was a rapid improvement in both driving skill and driving confidence. Passing the road test on the first try is a testament to how well Cathy and Jason prepare their teenage students. I would highly recommend Able 2! Especially to parents of new, young drivers!

Once I started taking lessons, I was introduced to many techniques that helped me systematically think about how to drive and what to do on the road. Now, I am a licensed and confident driver!

Fantastic experience: I took my 6hr defensive driving class here to renew my insurance reduction. Jim makes the class very interactive. The day goes by quickly and with everyone participating it doesn't feel like you are just being told the same old information.

Fantastic experience: Was driving for a little over a month and was not progressing much with my turns, maneuvers, and oversized driving capabilities. I’m in college and didn’t have much money or time for the full span of lessons&training but I decided to pay for 2 driving lessons. Best decision I ever made! Jason my instructor was really nice and a great instructor. Never yelled at me once (even when I accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake while doing 3 point turn lol), he taught me a better steering method and step by step of how to do the required 3 point turn and parallel parking for the road test. I instantly became a better and more confident driver after those two lessons and passed my road test I had just an hour after my last lesson with Jason. The staff here were also very kind and welcoming, even called to remind me of my lessons. Fantastic experience: I took the 5 hour class in Auburn and it was actually useful. At times it was even fun. I wasn't expecting that. My brother took driving lessons and he passed the road test first try. I have to say they did a good job.

Negative experience: Able 2 Drive is contracted with Cicero North Syracuse school district for drivers ed. Do NOT waste your money $550 for drivers Ed and the instructors sleep on the job don’t answer easy questions by the customer (the kids “learning” to drive). They are not worth the money they are unprofessional and a waste of money that you could take a 5 hour course and get the same 10% discount with your insurance company. My kid did not learn anything. I kept asking her didn’t they teach you that I. Drivers ed and the answer. Is no!!! I can’t say enough about how disappointed I am to have hyped drivers ed from my experience (20 plus years ago) to what she experienced. Laurie kline.

Fantastic experience: Took 6hr Defensive DrIving class last Sunday. This is my 2nd time taking class with ABLE2 in past 3 years. The presenter John did an excellent job knew how to get our attention. Asked good questions. As an FYI My husband did online class couple of years back and said the class was longer. He wouldn’t take online class again so he went to ABLE2. Thanks!

Negative experience: Inconsiderate receptionist! Wow so rude!!

Negative experience: Scheduled a 5 hour pre license course a week early, showed up and was told the class was full. That someone who didn’t prescheduled just walked in. I work 2 jobs so scheduling is difficult as it is, but paying for a 500 driving package just to have your spot given away is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Great place for a 5-hour pre-licensing course! The course is fun and interactive. The instructor John is a great teacher and has a good experience. Anyone looking for a 5-hour pre-licensing course should choose Able2drive school. I recently completed my course there!

Negative experience: Yeah it might be a great place to get your 5 hours at, but don’t accidentally walk in to the office with a simple question and have the lady working there give you the nastiest look and not even want to help... thanks

Fantastic experience: Glenn is superb instructor and teaches what exactly needed to be a good driver and to pass the road test and I will surely suggest Able 2 to all my friends and colleagues.

Fantastic experience: Had Steve's 5 hour class in Watertown. Totally didn't need to invest himself as much as he did, but I'm glad he did. He put in the effort to make the state curriculum interesting and interactive. Thank's for going above and beyond for our class.

Fantastic experience: They are amazing people I never had in issue with them. I took 4 driving lessons and the required 5 hour course and I'm planning on taking the 6hour defensive course and a couple more driving lessons before my exam!!
