Negative experience: Insensitive to those with ADHD/autism. Had no idea what the blue envelope was. It is available at the DMV and it is in the glove box for notifying Police that someone may communicate differently because of autism. Staff was rude and lacked compassion, downright condescending.

Fantastic experience: My son had a very good experience with All American. Scheduling was simple, the online courses were very in depth and the driving instructors were knowledgeable and experienced. Their feedback was helpful after each lesson. Scheduling the road test was also very easy. The school handled everything. Overall I am very pleased.

Negative experience: Our experience with All American Drivers school started off positive but unfortunately ended very poorly. They need tremendous growth and improvement when it comes to the drivers test piece. There is no privacy at all on the day of the test for the students first of all. They all arrive and sit in their own anxiety in a tiny room while an instructor talks openly about everyone’s business (pass/fail/tips/money owed etc). That is very uncomfortable and intimidating for some particularly while waiting to take a drivers test which is anxiety provoking as is. Then when someone fails the instructor openly talks about it and the next student learns from that prior persons mistake in the moment- unfair. They failed 10 students in one day! My son was failed twice and for very odd reasons… we even back tracked to see what was written (the DMV affiliated tester is mean and cold and will not interact with the parents or the students for that matter) and it was nonsense! Did I mention it costs $45 extra ($85 total) when failed to reschedule the drivers test just to use their old outdated cars! The driving tester DMV affiliated was there both times for my son which also seems like a conflict of interest since he failed him the first time. The man’s disposition is intimidating which made my son more anxious. They also only test during school hours which means my son missed two days of school to be unfairly failed. So we finally took matters into our own hands and had our son test at the DMV which only cost $40 and was scheduled for after school! The DMV tester was wonderful and friendly! My son passed with flying colors and the man had only good things to say about his driving skills! This experience did not have to be so anxiety provoking and I 100% blame this company- shame on them! It’s like a scam to make more money! Do NOT trust them they are terrible! Go to Next Street Driving School instead- I’ve heard so many positive things about them and wish I had put my son with them instead!

Fantastic experience: All American Driver Education is an excellent choice if you’re looking to learn how to drive and earn your license. Mrs. June was an incredible instructor, teaching me so much, and the staff helped create a calm and supportive environment for my test.

Fantastic experience: Two of my three kids attended All American. It’s a great program, taking a little bit of the driving practice away from parents. Also, the online recorded class part ensures a consistent message.

Fantastic experience: I would rate our experience here as a 4.5. Signing my son up for online classes and driving lessons was very easy. I liked that the school offers the road test on site and helps to schedule tests for the students. That was more convenient than having to go to the DMV. My son had a very busy summer schedule and wasn’t able to complete all of the online classes during the first five weeks. It was helpful that he could take them when they were offered during the next five week cycle. Mike, our behind the wheel instructor for driving lessons was always prompt and gave great feedback after each lesson. My only suggestion would be to offer the online classes at different times (possibly morning) during the summer months to accommodate students who work later in the day. Overall, our experience was a positive one and I would highly recommend All American Driving School.

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my kids learned to drive at All American. We have been very happy with them. My youngest waited until she was 19 to learn to drive. Mike was her driving instructor and he was fabulous. She felt comfortable and confident driving with him for her lessons. I am very thankful to All American Driving School!

Fantastic experience: The driving school was very supportive in helping me learn how to drive. I took 3 lessons with Kirk who did a great job assisting me with my needs. I felt very comfortable each time and had no issues with either the driving lessons or the test. The whole process was extremely smooth and would definitely recommend for new drivers!

Fantastic experience: Glad I choose this place for my daughter. She had no problem with her online drug and alcohol classes. Her driving instructor Mike did amazing at teaching her. He was patient, informative and answered all of our questions. He was also her 3rd grade teacher! The day of the test my daughter was so nervous but June the woman at the office made her feel comfortable she explained the route, gave a lot of great tips before the driving test and she was funny. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. Definitely register with this driving school you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: This is my second time using All American and they were great both times. The instructors prepared our children with stern, but practical advice. Once it was time for the test and for baby bird to fly, we all felt comfortable and confident. An extra thank you to Rosalie for her last minute advice and pep talk as we waited for the test.

Fantastic experience: Both my kids have attended All American Driving School. Classroom sessions are great. The driving instructors are very good in teaching the rules but also preparing for the road test. Having the road test at the school is also much better than having to go to DMV.

Taught me everything and then some for my road test. I passed my road test with a perfect score. They will even let you use their car for the road test which I did. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend All American. Even when we had issues, due to road flooding and the DMV on test day, All American maintained professionalism and did everything they could to make the situation right. Because of this, my daughter felt comfortable when it was time to come back to take her test. She had driving lessons with Kirk and he helped calm her nerves and encouraged her confidence while making sure she was prepared. Communication is good and the school has a smooth process for completing required classes.

Fantastic experience: All American Driving school really helped me get better at driving on the road. Before I started I could drive some but All American driving school helped me gain the necessary experience to be an everyday driver. During the on the road test I was very nervous but the staff and instructor reassured me that I would be able to do it, this really helped to calm my nerves and successfully pass. I personally would recommend All American driving school to my fitness and even loved ones.

She has a processing disorder and the school made accommodations for her. With their excellent instruction, our daughter passed! And an added bonus, the DMV comes to the school and administers the road test. No need to go to Wethersfield! We are very satisfied with our experience with All American!

Fantastic experience: We had a very positive experience working with All American Driver Education. Mike Moynihan set an appropriate schedule for helping my son to learn the necessary skills and to meet his goal test date. He also did a great job of adjusting his lesson plans in response to my son's level of driving experience and confidence. My son had no trouble passing his road test and received several good pieces of advice from Rosalee on his way out to test.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school! I took four two-hour classes with Kirk McKenna, eight hours in total. I am 16 and I passed my test the first time with no mistakes. I was taught the maneuvers very well and gained a lot of confidence when driving. Thank you, All American Driving School.

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old son took driving Ed program and it is exceptionally good training. 30 hrs of video classes and 8 hrs behind the wheel classes helped to get the license in first attempt. I would definitely recommend All American Driving school if you are looking for driving lessons for your teen.

Fantastic experience: Going through driving school was easy and very well explained. The classes we went through were very informational and Mike was great at explaining things and being there for extra support, if necessary. On road practice was a great experience and I learned a lot. I had my first 3 lessons with Kirk which went great and he helped me through some techniques to help do maneuvers such as 3-point turns and backing into a parking space. Jim was also very helpful and made me aware of some mistakes I was doing while driving. They also offer pickup and drop off in surrounding cities which was very helpful and easy. I got picked up at my house every time but I was also be able to get picked up at my job or school if needed (many surrounding driving schools don’t offer this). On testing day, they were very clear on instructions and helped us through the whole process! All the employees I have interacted with have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They utilize a website that allows you to make payments and book/change lessons and they provide feedback the day after your driving lesson! I highly recommend this driving school!

Fantastic experience: In person classes are very helpful, except There was one class that the lady didn’t really instruct. The online classes are just YouTube videos of the basic stuff that I’m assuming are at all drivers eds, overall I think it was pretty good as good as driving schools can actually be. The workers are extremely nice and you get to test on the routes you practices on.

Fantastic experience: My son attended the All American Driving School 4 years ago. The school is highly professional and does a great job of preparing a young driver for the road. I plan to send my daughter to this school as well in the near future. I noticed the negative review and was troubled by it. I do not often write reviews, but this school provides competent instruction on the road and also in the classroom. You will be happy with the experience and the kindness of the staff. Your child will be safe and taught by a caring and professional team.

Negative experience: The instructor was one of the most aggressive, unpleasant people I have ever encountered. Constantly yelled and belittled me. Please avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Worst place ever to take your driving classes. The driving instructors are horrible. Yes, go somewhere else to take your drivers classes.

Fantastic experience: One of the best driving schools around. Now coming to driving lessons, the instructors are very friendly and tell you which area you should improve and most of the time they let you control the vehicle and intervene whenever it’s really necessary not like other driving schools where most of the time the instructor/co-driver controls the vehicle. I enjoyed my driving classes a lot. Highly recommend who don’t know during at all and wanted to learn driving.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, the main instructor is not understanding or patient with anxious drivers. This school made the driving experience way harder than it had to be. As a past student I would never recommend this school to anybody; especially drivers are who are new and a little nervous. Giving 1 star is generous, the road lessons were a nightmare and did not help me learn what I had to, the instructor only made matters worse. I cannot exaggerate enough how poor the instructor and in car lessons are. If you have the opportunity to go elsewhere I highly recommend doing that.

Positive experience: The eight-hour driving course is very convenient and accommodating, even for those with a busy schedule. The content itself isn't particularly thrilling, but considering it's a course designed by the DMV, that much was to be expected. Regardless, the information is given in a very straightforward manner and you're provided with decent paperwork for studying along with the certificate, itself. My only recommendation would be for the teacher to relax a bit and be more encouraging. Your students may be kids, but they're also customers -- many of whom are already nervous about the tests yet to come.
