Our comment from DrivingSchools.Directory about Brentwood Driver Training:
Brentwood Driver Training is one of the premier driving schools in Tennessee, offering exceptional training for both teenagers and adults. Many clients highly recommend it, citing the friendly and professional instructors who create a supportive environment for learners.
Key highlights from customer experiences include:
- Highly qualified instructors, such as Kristi and John, praised for their patience and ability to boost students' confidence.
- The school offers personalized training, adapting to individual learning styles and needs, making driving lessons both enjoyable and effective.
- Many students felt well-prepared for their driving tests, with several passing on their first attempt.
- Convenient scheduling and communication with the staff, who are consistently described as helpful and understanding.
While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some clients have expressed concerns about communication and scheduling issues, particularly regarding practical driving sessions and updates. A few felt that more time could be dedicated to behind-the-wheel training compared to classroom instruction.
Overall, Brentwood Driver Training is dedicated to creating safe and confident drivers, making it a strong choice for anyone looking to enhance their driving skills.
Brentwood Driver Training: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend them for everyone’s driving needs. Especially teenagers for drivers ed. All of my friends went there and loved it too! Their friendly staff was very professional and helpful.
Thank you! I will share this with the staff and we appreciate your business!
Positive experience: Gave me money for food for lunch since they dropped me off late, so i got a free sonic meal! Nice!
Fantastic experience: Brentwood Drivers School is truly the best one in town; they were able to help with scheduling and were kind enough to understand and work with my unique situation for my driving lessons. Not only that, but my driving instructor, Kristi, was the most patient, kind, and understanding teacher that I have had. She took the time to make sure that I fully understood what I was doing behind the wheel every step of the way. She did an excellent job in making sure that safety always comes first in driving and reframed instructions to make sure that I understood what I was doing-- I could not have achieved success in passing my driver's license test without her. It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend everyone to have their kids or other family members go through their program and lessons!
Thank you for the kind words and I will share this with Kristi as well. She is a great teacher and we are so glad you had a great experience. Congratulations on your license!
Fantastic experience: John was very helpful in building my confidence in driving. He's knowledgeable about traffic laws and gives detailed explanations, but also gives pragmatic advice on how to drive defensively. I still recall many of his tips when I'm driving around and it makes me feel more sure in my decision-making on the road.
Thank you so much for sharing and I will share this with Jon. Glad to hear you are driving well!
Fantastic experience: We are so thankful for Brentwood driving training school! They do a fantastic job preparing our kids to drive. They make it so easy to train and equip our kids for driving for the rest of their lives. This training should be mandatory in the state of Tennessee for all student drivers. Our roads would be a lot safer!! Thank you, Brentwood Driver Training!!
We do work so hard to teach every student and have a lot of great drivers out there! We are glad you had a good experience and thank you for your kind words!
Negative experience: Editing my review based on the request of the owner arguing with me about my experiences, instead of considering that there might be room for improvement on how the company is run. The TLDR is if your child isn't a reliable communicator, you will not fare well with this school as they don't take the time to communicate to parents, only with the kids. Which is fine for some kids - but not all kids (some neurotypical kids struggle with this, too, by the way). Our older child attended in 2018, we were provided a schedule, and had a much better experience, so the school has gone downhill over the years. Poor communication and not great for neurotypical teens. Instructors did not include a requirement for the practical testing to have their Social Security Card (or last 4 digits) in hand to parents; it was only told to students in class. Not all teens can or will relay that information home. Multiple other pieces of 'what to expect' were provided in an email before the beginning of the week but did not include this relevant requirement. This led to a mad scramble when our son was at the DMV to get his testing approval form via phone. Practical driving session times were not provided as well, so it wasn't clear when my student needed to be picked up each day. Just not a great experience for us and I wouldn't recommend this company. Response to the owner: First - while it's the owner's belief that the communication provided by his company was sufficient, I argue that "a LOT" does not equal "effective" (and it wasn't a LOT, either). We were provided with a "what to expect this week" email with no mention of when our child would be required to stay after class for additional driving lessons, and no mention that if a student was taking the driving test, a SSN / card would be required. Adding that SINGLE sentence to that email frankly would've been enough for us to know in advance to have it and provide it (and I wouldn't have been irritated enough to bother with a negative review). We followed all other instructions in the email (provide a lunch, pen an paper would be required, etc). About the SSN requirement on the website and in the TOS - while it's great that somewhere, at some point, when we interacted with this school that information was provided, this is INEFFECTIVE communication. We signed up in March; who remembers the TOS from March - put it in the email for goodness sake. Second - the comms we did receive - an email on 7/12 (with a do not reply to this email) with the mention of bringing lunch and pen and paper, no mention of SSN needed. The email states "some driving is from class, some will drive after class until 6:30, and some will drive in the weeks following class." There was ZERO communication provided home as to when or if my child would be required to either stay until 6:30 or on a following week. There is a request to reply only if your child is not available the entire week. My husband responded 7/17 with our availability on Friday (we were headed out of town ) and only then were we informed via email our child was scheduled for his driving test Friday , and the schedule was already completed. Ok, fine. It was not clear from the email if any additional late pickups would be required earlier in the week. My husband replied to that email with follow up questions "In regards to driving lessons after class, is he slated to do any of that during 22nd - 25h? If so, will he be dropped off at home, or will you return to your Mallory Lane location? I'm trying to determine pick up times for him next week." Those questions were never answered,. The response was "he is scheduled for his last lesson on Friday 7/26 from 12:30 - 2:30. Will that not work? The schedule is already complete...." That was the last comm we got. My husband had to go into the school to ask about other driving times. If you don't have time to email 50 individual families with driving schedules, maybe you shouldn't have 50 students or hire more staff to accommodate them appropriately.
First and foremost, we do expect that if your child is going to be able to drive a car, they should be able to follow instructions. I'm sorry that you were upset with our program in that he forgot his social security number and it was only told in class 5 times then specifically in person to your child as his only "homework" from his first lesson. It is also listed on the website as required for those doing license testing. Social security number requirement is on the website and agreed in the terms and conditions when you registered. Also our registration has a place for comments and you never mentioned any special needs. We are not certified for autistic children (your child should have taken a special program through Vandy) but you did not tell us he had issues.
Fantastic experience: This has been money WELL spent! My son went the first day with zero driving confidence ore desire to drive and finished the course like a new person and ready to get on the road! The communication has been great as well!
Thank you for sharing! We are so glad he is now confident and ready to be a great driver on the road!
Fantastic experience: Extreme talented teacher they have whose name is John! He is apt with his teaching! I was little skeptical at first to try teacher for driving but John made sure that I m comfortable ! With only 3 sessions he took, my driving skill went to pro from beginner ! I cleared my test at DMV with a biggest compliment “ one of the finest driver “ thanks to him!!! Highly recommended John and Brentwood driver services!! Kudos to you all!!
We are so glad to hear that you passed with such great complements from the DMV. John is a great teacher and we will let him know how well you did! Thank you and congratulations!
Fantastic experience: Brentwood Driver Training was very thorough and professional. They did an excellent job in preparing our daughter both in the classroom and behind the wheel. The staff and ownership is very friendly and helpful, we highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for your kind words and I will share this with both her classroom teacher and in car instructor! They love that the students try hard and do so well! We try to have the best program for these kids to be safe and drive well. Thanks again!
Negative experience: My experience with Brentwood Driver Training was disappointing the instructor seemed to not care and there were apparent safety issues. The instructor showed did not show much concern for students, and a brake failure during a lesson raised serious safety concerns. The instructor also ate meals in the car during the lesson. I advise considering alternative driving schools for a safer and more supportive learning environment.
I'm sorry you had a not so great experience but our instructors care A LOT about every single student of theirs. The car issues are addressed as they happen and all issues are addressed immediately. We have extra cars for this very reason so we can swap cars if needed. I don't know who you are as the icy dude is not a real name, but if you want to contact us through our website in the contact submission we will be happy to address any problems and rectify them in whatever way possible.
Fantastic experience: Hello there! Thank you so much for your services and helping me get my license today. This would not have been possible without my lovely instructor who helped me achieve this milestone. His gentle teaching nature made all the difference. He was the difference in me getting to this point. Gentle, patient, strategic and encouraging instruction is what will help students go far in the world of driving. Thank you to Scott for being an incredible instructor and for the Brentwood Driving School for making this possible. Sincerely, Priscilla
Thank you Priscilla and congratulations on getting your driver's license! I will share this with Scott as well!!
Fantastic experience: NEED TO LEARN TO DRIVE IN NASHVILLE (International students esp.)? - Look no further, trust me. Highly recommend Brentwood Driver Training. Super easily reachable, the staff is very kind, over the phone or in person, you name it. Above all, Mr. John M. was a patient and erudite instructor, who got me up to speed incredibly quickly in the car. Lessons were something to look forward to, they were transformative and not at all stressful. Lo and behold, with the Center's help, I passed all the tests without a hitch. Simply put, I could not have done it without all the awesome folks at Brentwood Driver Training. A grateful and happy customer!
Thank you and I will share this with John M! He is a phenomenal teacher. We are so glad you did so well and passed your test!
Fantastic experience: I loved my instructor Mr.Don. He was very understanding and helpful and was super kind. This class helped me understand more about driving.
Thank you and I will let Don know you shared this! He is an excellent teacher!
Fantastic experience: As a former NYer with driving anxiety who relocated here and rapidly needed support with lessons, Scott was a godsend. He was so patient, thoughtful and caring during our first lesson and he made me feel so comfortable driving and practicing together. He was nothing but professional and also challenged me to practive driving in different counties, cities and roads. I still have a few lessons left with him and I am hopeful that with his guidance, I will be ready to drive and pass the road test without an issue. For any adult learners who are starting their driving journey later on, this is a great school that is understanding and welcoming.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and I will pass this on to Scott! He is a great instructor and a great person. We are glad you are doing so well!
Negative experience: These people are rude, and have no appreciation for the quality of life we have a Brentwood. Apparently they are not aware of the laws of Tennessee as well because they blew the horn at me and two people who were on bicycles in a driveway crosswalk. This is at 10 AM on Saturday morning in Maryland farms for many people are out walking. The instructor yelled at us. I would never let someone like this teach my child to drive if this is the how they are going to treat others. We DO NOT NEED PEOPLE like this ruining our lifestyle in Brentwood.
First, this is not normal behavior of our instructors and whatever happened has been addressed. We have 25-30 employees and to say they are all rude based on one instance is unrealistic and clearly you do not know our company as you have not used us. We typically have 15 cars out in Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville and Spring Hill. We have been teaching in Brentwood since 1993 and have not ruined any Brentwood lifestyle, which is absolutely ridiculous to say anyway. I have no clue who yelled but I addressed this with the employees the day we received this review.
Negative experience: Whoever’s driving the silver car with a license plate ends 85. You should get off the phone when you drive as number one off your business is to teach people to drive properly.
I don't know why you would review a company that you have not used? But whatever the reason, we do not spend time on our phones when driving for safety reasons. We do occasionally need our phones when in the car for maps or if the office calls with an issue, however we do not spend time on our phones for an lengthy amount of time.
Negative experience: I have had two lessons with this school. The first lesson was remarkable, the driver was patient and calm. He took the time to answer my questions, and he used positive words throughout the entire lesson, even when I felt I was screwing up. I was pleased with the experience, so I recommended the school to a former co-worker who also liked her first experience (her driver was a different guy though). BUT! There is an instructor there by the name of Christy who is ( no ma'am, no sir, no child , no baby, no grandma, no uncle, no cousin, no stepmother, no great great granny... I cannot express it enough. JUST NO!). She took me to the school so she could go use the restroom and get something to eat. No problem with that and I only mention it because initially I thought that her attitude was stemming from her wanting to "grab a bite''. Turns out that that was not the case. Let's put it like this, read below. - She teaches based on where she thinks you should be versus helping you to develop what you know. - No precise or clear instruction. - She will drive fear in you. She is very negative. - It is patent that she is just present for the paycheck. - Don't ask her questions, for she gets annoyed. - She acts as if her capabilities are undermined. I was told by someone at the school that she is the only female driving instructor, and I really do not know why that was imperative for me to know, cause with such horrible experience one would certainly remember her name, but okay. -Learning with her was very difficult. -I was VERY EAGER to get out of the car. I give one star because of how I feel currently. I feel as if I wasted my money with this Christy lady and whoever I expressed my concern with at the office further led to this review being written. But, the school deserves more because of my first experience. Additionally, Alicia (at the school) was very polite and helpful over the phone when I first contacted the school.
The reason we told you she was the only female instructor was because you stated you did not want her for future lessons, therefore you could just say you don't want the female instructor if you forgot her name. Kristi is a state certified and licensed instructor who has taught many students very well over the years and as I tried to explain on the phone we will let her know of your complaints. Your personality type is very strong and maybe did not work well with hers so we are sorry for that, again as we told you over the phone. We have a large staff of wonderful instructors and office people who are happy to help. As you said, Alicia and Jonathan were both helpful but also Kristi did train you and teach you for 2 hours so we have done everything we can so far.
Negative experience: Just now, I was in the crosswalk at Nolensville Pk and OHB. A Brentwood Driving Training student pulled up. She was about to turn right onto OHB. In the student's defense, she saw me and stopped to wait for me. Then I saw her instructor motion for her to go ahead. Hello?! PEDESTRIAN IN THE CROSSWALK! So, yeah, go ahead and send your kids to this driving school... ...if you're trying to teach them to run over pedestrians.
We have discussed with the instructor and student who stated that you were all the way across the other side of the road, not near them or on their half of the roadway. I realize other states have different regulations but I have pasted the TN law below. So he was teaching the appropriate law related to the situation. Sorry for any confusion but we are staying safe and doing our job! T.C.A. 55-8-134 provides: …. the driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way, slowing down or stopping if need be to so yield, to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within a crosswalk when the pedestrian is upon the half of the roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling, or when the pedestrian is approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger.
Fantastic experience: I am so appreciative of the driver (James) I got, he not only helped me get confidence in driving but helped me to get my license! If it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have gotten my license. My sister went through your driving center an got hers as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help learning the roads and driving!
Congratulations on your license! We appreciate the positive feedback and we will certainly share this with James. He is great! Thank you!
Negative experience: Scheduled my son for road test with them on a Saturday, called them to cancel all week prior because he was out of town. No one ever answers and if they do they put you on hold immediately and never pick back up and because I didn’t leave a message they want to charge a fee for no show. Unbelievable, asked for a refund for the road test that I paid for but they will have to have the owner call me back, we’ll see if that happens!!!
The staff does need a voicemail or an email to cancel, however it is extremely busy in summer with a lot of classes going on so email often works better. In summer, people are waiting 3-4 weeks to get a spot so cancellations are helpful. You also might want to consider not yelling curse words beginning with the letter F at our staff.
Negative experience: Expensive, Not enough time actually driving, simulators we’re old and faulty. Paid for driving test to get license. Never got tested. Never got license. Was told to come back after her nerves were settled about driving ??? Seriously , that’s what I paid you to do. Wouldn’t recommend.
We absolutely never will put someone on the road just because you want us to pass them. If a child is not ready to drive on their own, you do not want them to get a license and we will not give them a license. Also, if you follow the law and practice with your child (50 hours minimum if they are under 18 years old) then nerves and unsettled driving are not an issue. We allow people to return and test later when they are not ready to test at the time of their classroom course. We will test them when they are ready, confident and safe drivers.
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my driving training lesson on today special shout out to John my driving instructor , John was very nice , & I felt very comfortable learning and getting a good experience on driving . Thanks again John today was great John was patient with me I felt very safe knowing I had a great instructor & also gave me great encouraging words and a very well skill driving lesson on today
Thank you and it is great to hear good feedback for the instructor! John is excellent and we are happy you liked his instruction!
Fantastic experience: I learned to drive with the help of this amazing place in 1996. I highly, highly recommend!!
Thank you! We take pride in having several decades of teaching students well!
Fantastic experience: A great school with professional and competent instructors, who make the learning process enjoyable, safe and after each class I can feel the big progress I made. I am so happy I found them for my individual lessons! My instructor is John, he is very experienced, knowledgeable, encouraging and has the perfect words and advice for any situation.
We are so happy to hear that your lessons are going so well with John. Thank you for the review and we will be sure to share it with him as well!
Fantastic experience: Great experience! There's a reason they're the largest in the state!! 100% would recommend!!
Thank you Alicia!
Negative experience: Unprofessional staff and little instruction. They watched a full movie during class time and her driving instructor was on her phone during their drive time. The woman answering the phone was rude to me and belittled my child, while bragging about her college degrees.
The instructors are hands on the entire two hours of the lesson and instructors do occasionally use the phone for office calls or maps. In regards to the office, I cannot answer to what was said but we strive to be positive and helpful at all times.
Fantastic experience: It was definitely with the money. It gave me the courage to let her drive me around town. Her instructor was patience regarding the rules of the world. Ms Krstie is a phenomenal instructor. She put mym nerves at ease. My child passed the driving course ‼️
We are so happy you liked your lesson and will share the feedback with Kristie as well!
Negative experience: We had an issue at the DMV and I've been waiting for over 3 months now for them to work it out. I still haven't been told anything about the situation. Not worth the 500$ to be left in the dark.
I'm so sorry but this had nothing to do with us and was related to something regarding paperwork from your school. The state will not tell me why, but we tested you and went above and beyond to send them extra school information. We have refunded your test fee although your license paperwork is ready and waiting at the dmv.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Brentwood Driver Training. Both of my kids have completed their training at BDT and as a parent I feel they are fully trained and equipped to drive safely on the roads. They are extremely professional and have an individualized approach in pairing the best instructors with their students. This allowed for my kids to feel comfortable and most importantly learn how to safely navigate as they drive through different scenarios with their dual controlled cars and simulators. Hands down the best driving school in town!!
Thank you for the positive feedback! Happy to hear success stories and that your kids are doing well with their driving!
Positive experience: Initially, I had high hopes of my daughter utilizing this service for driver training. However, today, I found that the customer service is subpar and she never got the opportunity to experience their training at all. My husband took our daughter to her driving lesson and let me know that no one was at the facility. I thought that was weird; so he asked me to call to check in. I had called earlier to confirm everything was a go because I never received a confirmation email or text about our scheduled time for today. Then I called I left a message advising my husband and daughter were awaiting her driver training and received a call back. Upon answering, I was advised by the lady who called back that she was out of town and "that is why they do not like to schedule training on Sunday's". Not really sure what that meant; but I specifically told her a man schedule my daughter's training and originally wanted her to go at 5 p.m. and I told him I didn't want her driving in the dark; so that is why he scheduled them earlier in the day. She stated that they only do trainings at 9 am, 11 am , 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. I explained that is not what I was told. I wrote the appointments down and also placed them in my calendar with my notes and my appointments were scheduled for 2 p.m.. I told her that we can either fix the problem or we could have refund. She said that she would opt to cancel the training because she didn't like the options I gave her. Now, I will say this, I normally don't write negative reviews for companies unless I have incurred some serious issues that others should be aware of . . however, I do feel that others need to know how this company is being represented by this woman. Whether you are out of town or not; it is your JOB to resolve issues. That is why you are returning calls on a Sunday; while you are out of town. I was taken aback by her attitude over the phone because she acted like I was inconveniencing her. When in actuality; I was trying to find out what was going on with my child's driving training. Next thing I know she calls back. I said hello twice and then had to ask, "Why are you holding the line?" because she just sat on the phone. Finally, she replies, "Oh, I just wanted to call her back to let you know that I spoke with her driver and he said it was at 3 p.m and I told him to cancel her training and you would be refunded". I advised her that I need to see this refund within 24 hours. I will be looking for this refund. It better not be short - and I have already contacted my banker (at home) and we will be looking for this refund in full. I can't write anything positive or negative about the driver training because my daughter never got the opportunity to use that service; but whereas Customer Service is concerned . . . this is the most pathetic excuse for customer service dealing with someone who sounds impatient and frustrated . . . not listening . . . and because she was out of town; complaining to a customer about "this is why we don't like to schedule trainings on Sundays". Suggestion: In the future DON'T OFFER TRAINING OUTSIDE OF THE DAYS AND TIMES YOU HAVE OFFICE STAFF AVAIALBE. SEND OUT REMINDER TEXT AND EMAILS SO THAT YOUR CLIENTS HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR COMPANY AND CONFIRM YOUER TRAININGS. Had I got a confirmation text and/or email that stated differently than what I had on my calendar; I would have called immediately to resolve the issue. FIND SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS LESS OF AN ATTITUDE TO ANSWSER YOUR PHONE AND RESOLVE REAL ISSUES. Dealing with someone who is complaining because she is out of town and doesn't like to have trainings scheduled on Sunday's either needs to be re-trained or replaced.
We do give lessons 7 days a week at 9, 11, 1, 3 and 5:00 but our office is closed on Sundays. When on occasion there is a problem, we are happy to work through it with the customer. The ugly attitude that we got from this customer was enough to just say "we will happily refund you" because there is no way to argue with someone who insists they are right (sometimes customers make mistakes) even when they are wrong. We could not provide a lesson at 2pm when all of our lessons are always at 3:00. Even out of town, with you calling my personal cell phone, I was fine to help if only it was possible. Your refund is complete.
Positive experience: John was professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, which made you as the learner feel the same☺
Thank you and we will pass that positive comment on to him!
Fantastic experience: BDT pivoted seamlessly and provided a thorough experience. I highly recommend this driving school.
Thank you and we are so happy to help!
Fantastic experience: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The associates took time to explain the complexities of getting a licence; they promptly returned phone calls and were willing to listen to and advise on our unique situation. I highly recommend this driving training for all teenagers 16 -19 years. Thanks!
Positive experience: I was disappointed that there wasn't enough time spent on parking and reverse. My child still struggling with parking and reverse in busy parking lots. The in class instructions were great she received 100 on written park of the test. Recommend more focus on driving to be better prepared for on the busy streets
Positive experience: This is a good class. The kids get a lot of class instruction, but I believe they need more actual driving time on the road.
Fantastic experience: Very satisfied with the service provided! Driving instructors were excellent at keeping me (the parent) informed of the progress. Highly recommend this company for teenagers.
Fantastic experience: Great teaching! They do a really good job on not only properly explaining necessary driving skills but visually showing you how to execute the skills. 10/10 driving school✊
Fantastic experience: Excellent. Both my boys took the course at the same time. They learned a lot and kept saying how much they enjoyed the instructors. Definitely WORTH THE MONEY! Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Our two teenagers took the four-day class over the New Year’s holiday. They enjoyed the teaching, videos, and felt extremely prepared for the driving test and the road in general. Would highly recommend to all teenagers. Very convenient to be able to do the road driving test with the instructors instead of having to go to the DMV.
Fantastic experience: It is definitely worth the money. I have sent 2 of my kids through the program and both did their driving tests also. Both children felt comfortable enough to drive after the course. I would gladly pay double to NOT go to the DMV. LOL
Fantastic experience: The first class my daughter actually enjoyed! The instructors were so good, she continually critiques our driving. Highly recommend for drivers of all ages.
Positive experience: Our daughter used this service many years ago and the way it was structured at that time I definitely would rate a 5. However, it seems set up very differently. I was not a fan of a brand new student driver getting behind the wheel, with my son in the back seat, driving through downtown Nashville and beyond. I don’t believe other students should be put in that position.
Fantastic experience: Great experience. My son really enjoyed the driver simulation!
Positive experience: Experienced teachers and coaches!
Fantastic experience: Sent my teenager through the class during a school break. Excellent experience! I would totally recommend to anyone with new drivers.
Negative experience: Way too expensive, their communication is poor, and you don't even get a discount on the insurance. Not worth it.
Fantastic experience: Both my teens have gone through this school and loved it! They learned so much and their driving capabilities were night and day from what they were before. With all that they learned on the road and in class they are now so much more responsible and aware of the dangers on the road. The staff was so informative, personable and insightful. Our insurance was cut in half with their certification of the class which was a huge help! Highly recommend this school at every level!
Fantastic experience: Excellent instruction! Brentwood Driver Training creates safe teen drivers!
Fantastic experience: Organized service. Excellent driver education program.
Fantastic experience: Our daughter had a great experience and learned alot. Thank you so much!!! You guys are #1
Fantastic experience: I was enrolled at their Franklin Location. Very good school, laid back, calm, the way it should be. I get that the videos are controversial, but they're required. The instructors were very professional and awesome. The breaks and lunch time was really good, especially since there was a lot around to do. All in all, highly recommend.
Thank you Mike! See you on the roads.
Fantastic experience: As a teacher in a low income community, I have had numerous students earn their licenses from this company. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. These students would not have had the opportunity otherwise. Great job!!!
Negative experience: Don’t waste your money. Most of the training is spent watching videos to try and scare the kids. It doesn’t work. At the end they were tested - and the instructor gave the kids all the answers so they would pass! They come out knowing about as much about driving as they do going in. There should be more behind the wheel training than classroom time.
Fantastic experience: All of my friends that went to the DMV for their permit test failed but everyone in my class passed easily and I got my permit! I was so terrified to start driving too but the instructors were so helpful in calming me down that when I get my license I know I can drive without worry. I took some extra lessons so I've had a few different instructors and all of them were so nice! I really recommend this place
Positive experience: Very helpful for college students learning to drive without transportation.
Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today on the 5 th of December for which I really appreciate my driving instructor Eric from Brentwood driving training .Thankyou Eric !! for that ..He is a nice and kind gentlemen. I would definitely recommend Eric as an instructor for new learners as he is very experienced and very patient.
Fantastic experience: So good my parent's had me take it twice! Once for my permit and once for my license.
Fantastic experience: Excellent experience! All of the instructors were incredibly competent, caring, and committed to giving my son the most pleasant experience possible. Not only did he learn to drive and master more advanced concepts such as parallel parking, he had fun and enjoyed it while doing it! Extremely grateful to the instructors for putting a fun spin on such a serious topic. I will most definitely be sending my other children here.
Fantastic experience: My experience was a very good one from the beginning they were friendly and great clases my instructor was very patient and I never drive before and I'm glad I did it now thanks to their help I have my license I recommend Brentwood Driving School
Fantastic experience: My daughter went through this and saved me a lot of stress. They were very thorough and she loved the teachers and driving instructors. I would highly recommend it to any parent wanting help with getting their child into the driver's seat.
Fantastic experience: I don't understand the "it's horrible" and "find another drivers course" comments. Brentwood Driver Training is one of the BEST, I mean the best driving courses one could find in middle Tennessee. Trust me, I have waited two years and bounced from course to course to course, and I finally found one that stuck and offered exactly what I needed. I was let down by some of their mismanagement of time when it came to who got to drive when, but the rest of the course and the entire staff were phenomenal. Also, having met Jeremy in person, I can say he is 100% not a jerk- he has exactly what Tennessee's driving scene needs, and that is a wonderful driving school equipped with a wonderful staff and reasonable prices.
Negative experience: Horrible. I am still very upset with my time here. I went through the program the first week of June and got no driving time because I was not on their schedule and after calling almost everyday sometimes more than once a day they finally scheduled me for another month away. So two months from my course and then I get my license that I needed a while ago. Very horrible service.
Negative experience: Please look for another driving service! These people are rude, unprofessional and do not follow their own schedule. The lack of customer concern is OUTSTANDING! If you can go somewhere else, please do so. The so called owner Jerry Lyons is a complete jerk! I am reporting these guys to the BBB.
