Safe2Go Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Tanna Mang is an excellent teacher and driver! She made such an excellent and fun learning environment- I am so moved by her kindness and patience ❤️ I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better driving instructor than Miss Tanna herself
Fantastic experience: Tanna Mang is an amazing instructor! Her fun personality and kind attitude uplifts the classroom and encourages us to learn!!
Fantastic experience: Mrs. Tana is so fun, and funny and being one of her students was amazing. I never complained about going to drivers ed, and she always made sure we don’t get bored and made sure we knew all of our stuff for the tests and stuff. Loved this experience and thank you Tana!!❤️❤️
Fantastic experience: I have had all 5 of my kids go through this course. The program is nice and really teaches alot about road other drivers and safety. Lisa
Fantastic experience: The whole staff was rad. My driving instructor, Josh, was super calm, down-to-earth and easygoing. They don’t make you feel anxious in the least. I’d give 7 ⭐️’s if that were an option. That’d be a weird rating system, tho
That's wonderful Eric, thank you so much for the great review. You are apreciated.
Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Tanna is fabulous
Thank you Linnea!
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend it. To start off I'm 30 and just got my license. I signed up for 6 classes here after passing the knowledge test at a different private driving course in town. My 2 driving teachers were Josh and Susan. Monica was the person who scheduled my classes and went above and beyond to meet my time constraints as I had 2 weeks to get a license. In addition to my driving class I definitely practiced the techniques I learned from Josh and Susan with my learners permit on the weekends and in the evening. If they can teach me to drive they can absolutely teach anyone. I had my driving skills test with Josh and thanks to him phrasing some of our classes similar to the test to prepare me for it I was used to the language and the techniques combined. I passed with 83% which is barely passing but hey I didn't need to be the best I just needed to get my first license so I can continue to learn from experience and practice as a driver. Thanks again to the team at Safe2go. Also for the numerous bad reviews it's because they fail a lot of teenagers that aren't skilled enough to drive. They were very fair in my scoring and followed state rules and regulations to the letter. :-)
Thank you Beverly.
Negative experience: I purchased a driving lesson online. I had to call the office a couple hours after I purchased the lesson to schedule the time and date of the lesson with not them but a third party. After scheduling I received an email. During all this time no one told me nor was it written in the email that I needed to purchase a 35$ Primit from the dol prior to my lesson and bring with and required in order to even do the lesson. I found all this out when I showed up for my lesson. I was a little taken back when they said they told me about the permit even though I had no idea. I apologized for the confusion and asked to reschedule my lesson for another day so I can go home and purchase the permit. Suzan the owner explained to me that I needed to step outside, she wasn’t going to reschedule or refund my lesson. Asked that I leave pushed my 6 month pregnant self out of her buildings front door. And locked the door behind her so needless to say I won’t be going back or recommend going here for anything.
For the safety of all our customers, staff and students that were present during this conversation we asked you to wear a mask since it was state mandated. You angrily and loudly refused, I asked very politely if you would feel more comfortable speaking outdoors, so it wasn’t necessary to wear a mask, you said yes, so I followed you out the door. At no time did anyone ever touch you in any way or as you stated push you. We in fact held the door open for you. The state of Washington as everyone knows requires a permit to drive and as an adult it is your responsibility to know the laws of Washington especially since you are from here. The state agreement you signed and agreed to also states in bold red lettering that says Safe2Go services and fees are separate from DOL state testing. And all that information was disclosed to you. When you arrived to drive without a driving permit, we legally could not let you drive without a driving permit. When we tried to offer you options but you chose to use some choice words and finger gestures as you just walked away and with out hearing how we could have helped. There was not anything we could have done for you at this point.
Negative experience: The only reason why they have good reviews is because they bribed the students. They said if half the class wrote a good review we would get pizza on the last day.
Hello Corrine its been since June of 2019 since we have seen you but sorry to hear the kindness the instructor took to get the class pizza was taken any differantly than that because it meant they were a wonderful class of kids and they did a great job!
Negative experience: I was taking my driving skill test and the instructor Susan is always against me and used intimidation and fear during my driving lesson test I told her I don’t like way she teach and she held a grudge ever since then she claims on the skills test she failed me before I didn’t even start the test because She claimed I was about to hit the curb and there is no way I will hit the curb she is telling lies because she hates me personally didn’t like me and when my father tried to discuss the matter with her she closed the door on him in her driving school. Hope you PLEASE SEE WHY THIS IS NOT FAIR AND IRRITATED WHEN THE INSTRUCTOR HATES YOU AND MAKE YOU FAIL ON PURPOSE After Safe2Go replied How does she works for the dol when I had 3 driving lessons with Susan and how this is the worst teacher/instructor and school just replies with “she doesn’t work for us”
Hello Ayad, DOL and Safe2Go driving school are separate. Your DOL examiner is a highly trained and skilled professional provided by the state of Washington and is not acting as a Safe2Go instructor, furthermore they treat everyone fairly, but more important they will keep you safe while in the car and everyone else on the road that the teste may present a danger to like pedestrians on a sidewalk. Any dangerous actions on the part of the teste while taking the dol drive test is the dol examiners responsibility to prevent and it is an automatic fail per the state of Washington if they need to. We understand the disappointment when not passing the state test but If you are really concerned that it was something else beside the safety of you and others on the road then any grievances you may have with the state testing needs to be addressed to the state of Washington DOL not Safe2Go driving school. Kindly Safe2Go
Negative experience: I have met each of the instructors and they are all very nice except for one (Susan) who happened to be my drive test instructor. She was completely unprofessional and rude. She told me to do things on my test that I feel should not be allowed, including telling me to go faster than the speed limit and telling me to cut in front of someone who had already entered the roundabout. She does not instruct well and uses intimidation tactics to make you nervous. Along with this, in my class, we were bribed with a pizza party if we left good reviews for Safe2go, which I feel to be completely unethical.
Dear Madison. We are happy to hear that you liked all of the instructors! Please note that dol state testing and Safe2Go are separate and the Instructors are different than the dol examiners, the DOL examiners are not allowed to be helpful and only provide the verbiage required during a state test. The instructors are there for you to aide in learning to stay safe on the road. Although we ask for a review we never at any time state what to write or ask you to write anything but what you experienced because we are confident in what we teach and have had success with happy customers. It saddens us to hear that you saw the pizza as anything but a last day of class fun thing that we feel you worked hard for. If you have a complaint for a dol instructor it would be best to approach the State DOL as Safe2Go is separate from DOL, but thank you for sharing and we wish you success on your next drive test where ever you may go.
Negative experience: Horrible customer service and talk about attitude deffiently not professional how they treat new drivers. I will never recommended safe2go. Oh and dont worry they will just charge you fee instead of doing there job and teaching. We do and have taken then students for drives apparently you dont train kids you expect them to know how to drive and we thought this was and educational course.
Dear John. State law requires that our students must be able to pass all the driving maneuvers on each drive in order to complete the course. Unfortunately without parental participation and practice it makes it difficult for them to acquire those driving skills necessary. We can help by offering you additional drives until they can pass the required maneuvers, if the drives needed are beyond what was provided with the course, then yes it does come at an additional cost. Please note that anyone can provide the practice with your teen if you are not able to as long as they fit within the guidelines of D.O.L (please see dol.wa.gov for those guidelines) Kindly Safe2Go
Positive experience: My time in safe2go has been very fun, I have learned many things. And I am getting to drive the mustang so that’s a big plus.
Thank You Twisty!
Fantastic experience: Very easy class and friendly instructors
Thank You Bau Bau!
Fantastic experience: I took this class and it was pretty good, I guess i cant really rate it against other driveing schools but yea
Thank you.
Positive experience: Very nice people.
Thank You Stevens!
Positive experience: Good information, but boring at some times
Then you Nicole.
Fantastic experience: I'm currently taking one of the class and I really like it. We have test every Thursday witch make me pay attention in class, and what I also like is the one on one drives. I have learned so much and I really recommend taking a class with them.
That's great to hear Elizabeth! Thank you.
Fantastic experience: The class was great. I learned so much and my teacher was great. You learn lots
Thank you for the great review!
Fantastic experience: It was fun
Thank you for letting us know.
Positive experience: Denise and Lara were very good instructors! Denise was super bubbly and Lara was really nice chill when I was driving. Materials were super outdated, like DriverZed and the slideshows. Some of the videos were a bit cringy but others were super super funny.
Fantastic experience: It was a very fun experience, enjoyed it a lot this one kid had so much story’s it was fun
Fantastic experience: great place to go to drivers ed
Thank you Bella!
Positive experience: Good

Positive experience: great teacher! shelby is nice and funny, her and my classmates make the time go by much faster and we also get a lot of work done!
Positive experience: nice instructors and a great classroom environment
Fantastic experience: Nice teacher and fun class. Learn a lot and get a lot done!
Fantastic experience: They have good teachers, and a sanitary classroom
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Good experience. instructors do they job pretty good.
Thank you Chuy!
Fantastic experience: My instructor Shelby is a great teacher and is super nice. She has really taught me a lot. Drives are very nerve racking but when they walk you through it and help you correct your errors it really helps me learn. I have had a good experience learning the rules of the road at Safe2Go.
Thank you we like to know our Instructors are doing well.
Positive experience: The class is fun and the atmosphere makes it easy to learn although a lot of the information looks outdated such as power point slides from like 6 years ago and therefore it makes the information seem unreliable but once it is cleared up you know what to do. There is also little to no homework and the assignments that are handed out are simple enought to do in 5 minutes or so. Other than the ugly power point slides and the 144p quality videos the class is pretty good .
Thank you for your input and honest review. The state is updating and hopefully we will receive it in the near future.
Fantastic experience: It godd
Thank you Ivan!
Positive experience: I mean anything for free pizza, class clean not gonna lie I get bored at times but I’m the only one who really answers the questions. It’s a good learning zone and it’s pretty much the do’s and don’ts of the road, the drivers are really helpful because it isn’t like they want you to fail they will explain it for you and help you if needed.
Chef thank you for the honest review!
Fantastic experience: It has taught me so many useful things! Shelby is super nice and a good teacher
Thank you Jackie!
Negative experience: Charged me extra because my daughter wasnt "on the road" by 4pm. Website nor emails say anything about being on the road by 4. Then they lied and said she wasnt there at 9 minutes after 4. I have a gps that proves otherwise in its timeline.
Dear sir, We Require that the students show up on time for their drive Appointment. The Drive schedules sent to you and documents and the parent student contract clearly states everything you need to know about the drive's and attendance with the associated fees listed for Missing an appointment. You can find that on our website for when you signed up you have to accept terms and conditions which is the parent student contract if you would like us to email you a Another copy we can also do that for you just contact the office and let us know .
Fantastic experience: Great class very clean and would recommend to other people
Thank you James
Fantastic experience: It was a fun class only 2 hours every day not that bad!! Great teacher, Mrs. Erickson!
Thank you Michael! Way to go Mrs. Erickson
Fantastic experience: Instructors are awesome and classrooms are very clean! Totally recommended!
Thank you!
Positive experience: The classroom is always clean and a good, easy place to learn about how to drive. Though I don’t enjoy sitting in a classroom and learning about a sort of boring subject, the class was interactive and there was a little hands on. Hardly any homework! I think the communication could be better, as it took a while to figure out when your drives were scheduled. Also, if a drive is forgotten, the cost to reschedule is pretty expensive, so that’s also a drag. Other than that, all is great!
Thank you Emma for your input! Its is always good to know what we need to work on.
Positive experience: pretty good driving school
Thank you Maddie!
Fantastic experience: The drivers instructors are nice
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: It’s an amazing school!

Positive experience: Best one I've gone to in my life. Also the only one. Could work on communication as I didnt vital emails that i needed to complete the course but other than that it is a fun learning environment and would strongly recommend

Thank you Kinison!
Positive experience: Good class, but boring, but good
Thank you for your review! If you have any suggestions please email me at [email protected] we are always looking to improve!

Fantastic experience: I’m not an expert, but this is probably a good way to learn how to drive. No problems that affected my learning at all.
SC 2187 Thank you!
Positive experience: I’ve had a really good experience with Safe2go. The course is informative and easy to follow, and the instructor clearly cares about her job and the success of her students as drivers. I would definitely recommend this program.
Fantastic experience: Great teachers and a good driving school overall.
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Mrs. Erickson is a super nice teacher!! She makes class fun and you actually learn. Highly recommend taking driver ed with her!
Thank You Sofia
Fantastic experience: Mrs. Erickson is pretty good and the class isn't so boring with her.
Thank you James
Fantastic experience: Ms Erickson was pretty lit
Thank you Milo
Fantastic experience: Mrs. Erickson has been extremely understanding with the weather circumstances, and has helped us adjust well to the schedule, curriculum, and nature of the course.
Thank you Carrera!
Negative experience: If I could give no stars, I would. Instructor (Susan) was unprofessional and shared inappropriate personal information with her students. Also used intimidation and fear as her primary teaching methods-not great for young, inexperienced drivers. I went for a drive along and was shocked when she instructed my daughter to cut off another oncoming car to take a left turn into the highway.I voiced my concerns to the manager/owner who refused to put my child in a different class that worked with my teen’s class schedule or reimburse our money. I was warned by multiple parents to avoid Safe-2-Go. I had to learn the hard way I guess. I’d like to add on to this review: The response from the company (the owner I’m guessing, by the tone) is completely fabricated. I sat in the back during my students drive, said nothing, and emailed the owner about my concerns. And she responded the same way she’s responding to this review-by blaming the student and or parent for her unprofessional and irresponsible business and employees. Based on the good reviews, I have to assume Safe 2 Go is either incentivizing people in some way to write them, or having Google remove them. The reviews on Yelp and other sites (2 stars mostly) are more accurate. Save your money and time and go with ANY other school than this one. As you can see, they are a nightmare and the customer is never right.
Dear Maya, We understand that it is stressful for parents to watch let alone being requested prior to the drive to not be verbal or participate in instruction during an observation, we know how difficult that can be. Please note that when parents get verbal during a drive the student then gets confused and has now 2 people telling them what to do at the same time, that puts everyone in danger. The instructor has the authority and professional training to make decisions that are needed to get you all into safety as she did. The instructors put "their safety on the line everyday" and would never have a student do something that would also put themselves in danger, it is their job and have the extensive training to make the decisions needed to help keep everyone safe that is involved. We also offer several classes to choose from that are posted ahead of time to give families options, the parents are the ones that choose the class that will work around their schedules for it is to difficult and not fair to the other students when there is 20 other students to consider when changing any class.
Fantastic experience: Great driving school. Nice classroom. Shelby's chill
Thank you Collin
Fantastic experience: Emily Stima So far, my experience with this school, as a student, has been a very good one. My instructor, Shelby, makes sure everyone is caught up with what's going on in class and is understanding what is being taught. She is a bit strict, but that's good, this way we know what is expected and what is not excused. She generally has a relaxed atmosphere of her, this is good for me because having a relaxed teacher helps me from becoming too stressed; It makes it easier for me to focus. For all of this, five stars.
Thank you Emily
Positive experience: This driving school is good. The curriculum is taught well in an interactive and interesting way. The color scheme is a nice combination of light blue and white instead of a contrasting scheme like magenta and red. The chairs are comfortable and do not hurt after sitting in them for a couple hours. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you Zeppelin
Fantastic experience: While at Safe2Go I've had no issues. My instructor Shelby is nice and is always willing to explain and help us understand. The class has been really helpful to me!
Thank you Alyssa
Fantastic experience: This class was really helpfull, I’m 18 and have little driving experience so I signed up for divers ed, and wow can I say I’m glad I did, this class taught me so much! It was a lot to take in at first but with the help of Shelby and Mrs. Erickson I will feel much more comfortable behind the wheel.
Thank you Kyley
Fantastic experience: Mrs. Erickson is really nice, funny, sweet and good at teaching!
Thank you Giselle! Good job Lara
Positive experience: Mrs Erikson was a great teacher, really helpful! Great place to learn driving safety
Thank you Natee!
Fantastic experience: Mrs Erickson is an amazing teacher! she makes learning to drive fun and is full of information :)
Thank you Taylor
Fantastic experience: Thanks Safe2Go for being so accommodating with my vacation schedule and special requests... The instructor Mrs. Erickson was great!! She made my son feel so at ease during driving sessions... I would highly recommend you guys to anyone I know...
Your very welcome! Thank you for choosing Safe2Go.
Fantastic experience: We are so fortunate to have them here in Monroe. My son has taken the class at the high school right after school. So convenient ! They gave me progress updates so I was confident in the training process. Signing up online was very easy and the Office Administrator was available by phone to answer my questions. Excellent support !
Thank you Ken for the great review!
Fantastic experience: Safe2Go is a great driving experience especially with the best instructor there Mrs.Erickson who was awesome with helping us drive!
Fantastic experience: On my 5th drive today, got to drive the mustang for the first time and i loved it. i would 10/10 recommend this driving school for teaching you or your child how to drive. i have learned a lot in the past 5 weeks and it wasn’t too hard nor too easy. it was perfect for me and my learning on how to drive and be a safe driver!
Fantastic experience: This was my fifth drive and I’ve got one for left. I got to drive the Mustang today for the first time! It was so much fun to drive this car! My driving instructor Shenan is the best! She has help me so much through this learning process! My classes have been great and Safe2Go is an amazing School when you need to learn to drive and then get your license. I’m so happy I went here and that this class is available to me! Thank You Safe2Go!!! (Mustangs are AWESOME)!!! :)
Negative experience: Irresponsible, condescending, combative manager. No wonder why they failed to provide instructors on two separate occasions. Failed to transmit ID to DOL wasting my whole afternoon, then charge for a retake drive. Go ANYWHERE but here!
Fantastic experience: Great people, clean classrooms.. Took my daughter in for classes and she was actually excited to go to class and on drives. Will take my youngest there when he's ready.
Thank you Vic!
Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful driving experience here. I enjoyed the curriculum as I understood it easily and the office and cars were very clean and organized too. I don't understand why the only negative comments are from parents who are upset their child failed their test .. seems pretty ironic to me. not everyone is a great driver when they first start. I think it just makes them a great instructor to not let just anyone on the road. I also appreciated that I received constructive feedback as to what I could do better next. great course!
Thank you Penelope!
Fantastic experience: Great way to learn driving ,great classroom and instructors highly recommend.
Negative experience: I have tried calling about 6 times to get info and they never answer their phones
Fantastic experience: Was helping my nephew out when we contacted the school very courteous polite on the phone and knowledgeable. When my nephew and I walked in to the office the receptionist was great. Very personable very knowledgeable there was a classroom of young adults and there and the interaction with the staff and the clients made us feel right at home. Went through the class Everything went perfect very professional I would highly recommend this driving school to all my friends and potential clients. Michael C
Negative experience: Can I give negative stars? Where do I even start. Office staff extremely disorganized. Several staff members and OWNER of the company completely rude to both myself and my son. I have been given wrong/conflicting information 6 (yes SIX) times and when I attempt to clarify and bring up the contradictions, I am spoken over and told I asked the "wrong person".... It took me four in person attempts to sign up my student for a written test (in order: the computer wasn't working (said they would call me back and didnt), the debit card maching wasn't working (said they would call me back and didnt), there was a staffing problem, the person didn't know their password). Finally the FIFTH time I went to the office I was able to register and pay, after sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes while the staff socialized in the back room. They finally emerged when I yelled "HELLO?". I was told by two people there was a test Friday and one that there was not. So, I paid and registered... Hoping there is? Today, we came for a written test tonight and one person told my student I needed to fill out paperwork and I should come inside, only to have the other person tell him not to listen to her. This place is a complete joke. Consider yourself warned.
Fantastic experience: My Son Attending the teen course in May with Shannon who is a very pleasant instructor who my son was really comfortable with especially during the drives he never complained once about being nervous he actually has taught me some new strategies and keeps me on my toes in driving we look forward to having all my other children go here as well, they seem to be on top of all the DOL guidelines and in preparing my son for his future license and more then anything to be a safe driver which is any parents ultimate goal and is a winner for me . Thank You Safe2Go for your time and effort you put into my son. Kind Regards, The Guerra Family
Negative experience: Since signing my daughter up here they have been a huge pain. The teacher told my daughter that it was ok for her to go 5 miles over the speed limit. When I called and to let them know I'm not ok with her telling my daughter it was ok to speed I was told my daughter was lying then went on and on telling it is ok to speed. They are hard to get a hold of and even harder to make an appointment for the drive test. They think they are god of the drive school world. Next year when my son starts drivers ed it will NOT be there.
Fantastic experience: My teacher is Shannon and I really enjoy the class. I've been learning a lot of helpful information and tips for being on the road.
Fantastic experience: My instructor is Shannon and I really like the class because I feel I am learning a lot of specific driving details that will help me be a safe and alert driver in the future! It's a very relaxed environment and I have learned a lot in the past couple weeks! I'm halfway through the class and looking forward to the rest!
Fantastic experience: I would give 4.5 stars for Bob the instructor. A little extreme with driving rules, most likely because my teen takes everything taught to heart. The office was a little mismanaged & very strick on payments for an extra meeting for using their car for state drive test or parent manditory meeting...at Silver Lake, however I can't speak for Monroe. I would recommended them as a school, however it does come with some pains. I cancelled the course with another driving school, to attend Safe2Go. The other school charged me an administrative fee to cancel, however it was worth it for my child to attend Safe2Go. Take all the rude comments with a grain of salt. They wouldn't still be in business if everyone was unhappy. Good Luck Monica. Work on the logistics of the office and you'll have an A+ school. Susan was a great instructor too!!!!
Negative experience: Worst company I have had the displeasure to pay money to in a long time. They agreed to meet us, and did not show. When we arrived at their office with still 15 min left in the 30 min appointment we were told to wait. After 10 + mins we were told it would take 10 mins for the test we had paid for already. I was informed I would have to pay again. I refused and Monica refused to refund my money. I would not suggest anyone go to them for testing. I feel we were treated rudely and that the company made no effort to rectify the issue.
