Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at the Yuma Truck Driving School. The instructor are great, very knowledgeable. The office staff is friendly and attentive.

Fantastic experience: The office staff was very helpful by letting me know what I needed and where to go to complete all the required tasks such as the physical, tests and hazmat endorsement. The instructors well demonstrated the exercises as well as gave me tips on how to improve with their wide range of experience. In addition their plethora of knowledge in the trucking industry gave me a lot to go on when I go out driving.

Fantastic experience: Overall, the staff was pretty good on getting things going shut up to Yanin on for being organized. All the instructors were pretty good but the ones that stuck out and went above and beyond to make it easy to learn were Jack, Jesus Jamar and Mike. All made it very informative, fun and easy. Positive experience: The school was decent. Not enough space nor vehicles for the amount of students. Some instructors are very good at instructing others not so much. Some can be quite condescending especially if you've never driven stick before. At times it seems they do need more instructors to give proper directions to complete skills.

Fantastic experience: Omg. This is the best school ever. Every instructor here wants you to pass. And the staff in the office are the nicest people ever. I can tell you, you will be driving the second day on the yard. And then on the road, we were practice driving the fourth day. You will definitely pass this school.

Fantastic experience: The instructors and staff are great. My only complaint would be sometimes limited practice time because of the number of students to truck ratio. Otherwise had a great time got my CDL and now I’m a professional truck driver.

Fantastic experience: I used the GI Bill to cover for the 310 hr program. Overall, it’s a good school. The instructors give you the knowledge and tools to help you become successful, but it is up to you to put in the extra effort to study on your own time and ask questions. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to obtain a commercial license.

Negative experience: Enrolled at this school thinking i was going to be taught no, you have to teach yourself. You have to wait hours to get a turn to do anything with the truck some days are just full on waiting days, instructors are never out in the yard i’ve seen plenty of people teach themselves.

Negative experience: I just graduated from here and honestly I have very few positive things to say. First, I wanna say Butz, Allen, Andrew, and Lino are awesome. They are all helpful and they care. And the front desk staff are awesome. Now onto the negatives, the equipment. So many issues every day we came in there was a new problem. One week we only had 2 working trucks, the rest were all broken down and it took a week to get them up and running. 2 trucks between 35-40 students. The automatic was constantly broken and they take their time getting the trucks fixed. The “instructors” think they don’t actually have to instruct and they’ve had multiple students call them out on it. They show you once and then they tell you to figure it out yourself. They don’t teach and walk you through it, the only people who helped me the most were Butz and Allen. And Steve, I managed to go my whole 6 weeks not talking to him until my last day. He was always yelling and extremely rude to everyone, nobody could stand him. And the one interaction we had was exactly that. Anyways, it’s not a school I would recommend. However it’s also the only school in Yuma so.

Fantastic experience: I graduated almost 8 years ago the instructors were awesome I don't know how many are still there & Toby is the only name I can remember but they were all great no BS they told you how it is right or wrong I've recommended people to go & I will continue to recommend the school

Positive experience: I had a great time at Yuma Truck Driving School. The staff were very supportive. The instructors were true professionals truckers and excellent mentors. The school needs more instructors to balance the instructors to student ratio.

Fantastic experience: I attended Yuma Truck Driving School through a military program called Skill Bridge. When I started I learned quickly that the instructors are very informative and tailor it to your learning style. They genuinely care about your learning, and will assist you in every way possible to ensure you’re understanding the material. Wether it be driving, pre trip, or just general information these instructors know their stuff and would 100% recommend this course to other service members that are thinking about going.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both used our GI Bill to attend Yuma Truck Driving School. We had a great experience and agree it was worth it. Training was equally distributed among all students. The instructors and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable!

Negative experience: I went in recently to get some information to attend the school. i spoke with i believe her name is Ally she’s the manager and i was kind of thrown off we were in the middle of a conversation and her phone started ringing and she picked up and started havin a a convo with the person, as well as answering text messages as i just sat there and waited. I didn’t appreciate my time being wasted with her on her phone as she is was helping me.

I appreciate them helping me get started. Don't have many complaints except not getting enough drive time. Also the girl who does the hours I had asked her questions several different times and she would get rude with me and raise her voice when i let her kow i was there a day she said i wasnt. Other than that great school!!!!!

Their ability to portray the immense amount of information to you is unbelievable. They make sure you understand. They are super clear and always willing to help if you get stuck. Fantastic experience: I have to say as a student of YTDS, it has been a great learning experience. While I am still a student and will have my CDL soon, the knowledge I have gained, will take me far in this career. All staff, Donny, Toby, Roland and Steve have truly made sure that my driving skills are top notch. They have invested in my future and it's no wonder that the school has a high rating. With their patience as instructors, I have gained so much more than I ever thought I would. For that I will always be thankful. Fantastic experience: The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The instructors do a great job explaining things. I came in with no experience with manuals or big trucks at all and was able to leave with the ability to drive a semi truck without being a giant boulder in the road.

Fantastic experience: This will be a lengthy review so as to fairly and accurately describe this facility and it's staff. Starting with the receptionist, I was greeted with a smile and a cheerful hello, instantly making me feel welcome. Then came the process of signing up. Very smooth and well explained as to what I could expect and what would be required of me. Then came the instructors. Shar (sp?) was a peach. Old school. Straight to the point, direct and blew no smoke up anyone's back side. YOUR HAND DOESN'T LIVE THERE!!! She comes across as very gruff and almost nagging but she is the only one that could make that a positive. She is that way in order to ensure the student learns and doesn't just "skate by". Rudy was always smiling and checking the progress of each student, asking them how things were going. Ricardo was always attentive to students and their questions. Juan and Roland also showed concern and care for the students. Paul was always helping and guiding his students. Toby was always attentive to what was going on and assisting anyone who seemed to need help. John reminded me of R. Lee Ermey. Very professional and an asset to the school. When I first walked in, it was like I was a n orangutan being told to play the saxophone. After being taught and guided by the staff here, I began to feel more like Michaelangelo with a paint brush. This school and the staff have started me on a path that will positively change my life and for that, I will be eternally thankful. If you are even remotely thinking about attaining your CDL, this is the ONLY place I would recommend. Thank you Yuma Truck Driving School, I truly, sincerely and eternally thank you for everything you all have done for me.

Fantastic experience: I earned my CDL here a awhile back; but even today I vouch for them. A CDL opens doors ico jobs and it's always smart to have it for a "Plan B." With lifetime (of the school) assistance plus a friendly and helpful staff, it's worth looking into. Hint: their frequent Open House events are a great place to start.

I was homeless at the time on the streets and went here got my CDL and literally went across the street in Phoenix and got my first trucking job. I have been there for 8 years it all started with this place. Phoenix location

Fantastic experience: This school is great , i had a great learning experience here at YTDS. I was able to finish as soon as possible. Once i finished the class work i was able to finish in 3 weeks. Tommy Lund leads a great group here at this facility. I had a great time learning here , toby has a great group of instructors , they shared a wealth of knowledge and answered any questions i had. I started this program with no prehires and left pre-qualified for a company that im about to work for. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into the industry.

Fantastic experience: Best school to learn about driving big rigs and buses. I went and graduated and went straight to work and the student trainer for the company I was hired to work for had never seen any student right out of school with as much knowledge as i had about driving and knowing the ins an outs of a big rig. An with that knowledge that I got from Yuma truck driving school in Yuma Arizona I was able to graduate to solo truck driving in less than 3 weeks instead of the 4 week training period for a person right out of school. I would recommend anyone that wants to be trained in truck driving or bus driving an to be able to know everything about what it takes to be a great driver in there field I would suggest going to the best at Yuma truck driving school in Yuma Arizona.
