Fantastic experience: Instructor was very kind and made my daughter feel comfortable. He had a very calm demeanor to put a new drive at ease. He provided a lot of tips for her upcoming drive test. The office staff are also very informative and get back to you right away. Would definitely recommend Turlock Driving School.

Negative experience: At first, Amber was very sweet and helpful and got me going. Somewhere between the conversation I misunderstood the information and I tried getting clarification. The phone was busy and I couldn’t get through then when I called back later that day it was closed and I was able to leave a voicemail and then text the number they have provided to get a hold of them after hours. I never got ahold of them again even through the phone number they provided to text. The day of the appointment came but never received confirmation. The day of the appointment came and the instructor showed up, but I never got a confirmation and I never got a call back that I had requested previously. So my teen wasn’t aware. When I finally got a hold of her, she seemed irritated and rude and didn’t care about the miscommunication. Nowhere in our conversation did she mention that if it was a no-show it was a $50 rescheduling fee. The website doesn’t state so either. When I was trying to communicate with her and explained what happen she seem uninterested and not willing to work with me. Haven’t heard from her since SO went with a different school.

Fantastic experience: Believe the 5 star reviews! I reside in Merced but was having trouble finding reputable driving schools willing to take on adults for lessons. Turlock driving school does take adults but at a different rate than teenagers. I am really grateful that they did as my lessons with Patty have been instrumental in boosting my confidence as a driver. I purchased the 3 pack and have done 2 of 3 lessons. All my lessons were with Patty and she was great! She is non-judgmental, easy to talk to and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Turlock Driving School for all age groups!

Fantastic experience: Our son just got his permit this am and was able to grab a last minute appointment from a cancelation at lunchtime. Char was great!!! She is kind and firm and confident... perfect experience to build excitement and respect of driving with our son. The office was sweet and helpful, their prices very fair and competitive. Fantastic experience: I’ve only had two driving lessons so far so will update when I have my third one but they both have been wonderful! My first lesson was with Patty and she does an amazing job teaching you and incredibly patient when you’re a first time driver like me. My second lesson was with someone’s name that starts with an M that I forgot (I know she’s a regular at starbucks, all i know ) and she helped me so much with my freeway lesson! I would definitely recommend this driving school for new timers! Although the cars are a bit weird getting used to but other than that everything is perfect! I would seriously recommend this school. I got done with my last lesson a few days ago which was a mock test exam and my instructor helped me out so much with my errors. The instructors are seriously so sweet and give incredible feedback to make yourself a better driver.

Fantastic experience: Although I have only done two lessons with the driving school so far, I have nothing but positive things to say. The car is recent, making it easy to maneuver and my instructor is wonderful. Her teaching ways “mash” perfectly with my style of learning. She never yells, calmly correcting me when I make mistakes. After every lesson I leave with more confidence on the road.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had two out of my three driving lesson and both went great. I love how talkative the Instructor are, keeping me both focused on driving, but also helping the time go by faster. They made we feel pretty comfortable behind the wheel, especially when driving on the freeway! I 100% recommend this driving school!

Fantastic experience: I had Shar as my instructor and she was really helpful! I felt strong in my skills to drive beforehand and upon completing my first lesson with her, I had learned to take other things into consideration to better my driving. She was also able to meet up very quickly which was nice. In the end, I did pass my test with flying colors and it was thanks to the small details I didn’t think about beforehand.

Fantastic experience: Shar was my instructor, and she was the best! She taught me every bit of the road so that I knew what to do in every situation, even the ones the test doesn't focus on. I passed my driving test first try with zero errors thanks to her. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The school also let me have a flexible schedule near the end so I got all the practice I need. Thank you!

Negative experience: Had a practice drive with an instructor that talks a lot and delayed instructions to maneuver right and left turns thus causing unnecessary noise and confusions while driving not sure if it was part of the lesson in some kind of tests for distraction but luckily I passed my first behind the wheel drive test.

She explains everything in a calm manner and she makes sure to tell you when your doing a good job and what you should try differently the next time. Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Mrs. Margo, she is literally so sweet and talkative. She always knew how to answer my question with the best answers and made sure I understood it if I didn’t. She made me feel super comfortable each time I drove with her. Something I really like is not only does she tell you your wrongs and what you can do to improve on it but she tells you the good things you do too. The last time I was with her, I was accidentally a bit late and she had no problem waiting for me (7 mintues). After the drive was over I told her how scared and nervous I was for the driving test and she was so nice and told me not worry I would pass! When I took my driving test, I passed first try. She taught me so many new things that’s I didn’t know and I will always be grateful that I had her as my instructor!

I do also like how the program is set up, not all lessons are back to back, it gives to learner time to practice what they learn in between each session. Fantastic experience: As an adult I was skeptical on how much I could actually learn from only three lessons while also having severe car anxiety. I came here to say, it's worth the money even as an adult learning to drive. My instructor was Shar and she was AMAZING. In only three lessons she made me feel confident and explained driving in a way I felt was easy to understand. I learned a lot and felt that Turlock Driving School made a huge difference when it came to preparing me for my behind the wheel exam. I passed my first try and only missed 4 points !! I would recommend this place for anyone who has driving anxiety like I did. Also, Shar really is a gem and I'm happy I got her as my instructor.

Fantastic experience: We used this school for my 16 year old son. He started having never driven a car and, today, passed his DMV test the first time! The instructor he had was patient and easy-going while also teaching him everything he needed to know, with tips specifically to help him pass his test. Making appointments was easy as well. We highly recommend this school!

Fantastic experience: Great driving school. Susie, my instructor, is super kind and funny. She makes sure to cover everything that you will have to do on the test and gives great constructive criticism so you’ll know how to improve without being rude at all. She is very nice and welcoming and I felt at ease the entire time I was learning with her. Great place and amazing instructor.

Positive experience: I had robin she was good I failed my first drivers test and then I got another intruder named Lisa and I asked if I was gonna pass my test and she said honestly no but I ended up passing and I miss a lesson i don’t know if I get a refund or not but they will teach you a lot and you will learn a lot thank you guys !!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have no driving experience before I go there. They are very professional and friendly. The price may be a little high, but it's worth it. Professional teachers always know more details. At least, my instructor taught me a lot of useful driving skills. I passed the DMV test in the end. I am so happy, and I can drive independently now. Always remember: Safety first!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience learning to drive with this awesome school. Dawn is very helpful scheduling my appointments. My instructor Lisa is amazing and helpful and teach me how to do things right and telling me what I was doing wrong. I did my driving test this week and I pass!

Positive experience: My first driving instructor was very anti-social. All he did was listen to classic rock and eat food the whole time. For my final driving school I had a lady named Robin. She was really nice and liked to talk. That last lesson was a great experience.

Negative experience: These people are part of the road safety problem. Instructing a student to change lanes in front of an 80,000 pound vehicle with less than a car length to spare is irresponsible at best. We drive with hundreds of feet of space between us for a reason, and it's not so you can put your bright yellow rolling deathtrap there. Granted, some of us have no business in a CMV, but numbers don't lie. Read the statistics on who causes traffic collisions most. After that, think twice about trusting your or anyone else's safety with these people.

Fantastic experience: Parents this is the driving school for your children. Dawn is super helpful and very friendly. And Keith has a ton of knowledge being a truck driver for many years. Look no further! Why would you trust anyone else.
