Fantastic experience: Easy, entertaining, well priced!

Fantastic experience: The IMPROV program was very thorough and complete. It left very little out of the normal driving experience and it covered all of the conditions that one would run across while driving. I have been driving for years but there are always things to learn and reminders that we should never forget while driving and they are in this program. The details behind the data were also very notable because they gave you the full picture of what you should not be doing behind the wheel. Easy, not rushed, no pressure, just reading, watching, learning, and testing. I wish that I had this program for my kids when they were learning to drive! A good program reminder for all drivers, young and old!

Fantastic experience: I actually really enjoyed the course!! I did it to reduce my car insurance price but then actually ended up finding the course to be really helpful. I'm still a relatively young driver so I ended up learning a lot of new information. I had to finish the course in less than 1 week because I signed up late and had to meet a deadline for my pending insurance payment but they normally give you 1 month for the course which I think is more than enough time to complete everything. My favorite sections were probably the comic strips/joke segments. I tend to struggle with focusing on material and I found that these comic segments helped me to keep on track by re-engaging my attention. I also didn't even realize the course creators were based in California because they had personalized the course content to my local region in NY state. Anyway, I could tell a lot of effort was put into creating this course. I would gladly take this course again when I am eligible to do so. I had a family member take this course with me as well and she enjoyed it too.

Fantastic experience: Improv traffic school provided me and my family a simple way to complete a defensive driving course and lower our insurance rate. Fantastic experience: Excellent course set up for everyone to enjoy taking the defensive driving course lessons and at the same time learning it in a real fun way up until the end. Geico got notified the same day and i’m sure the dmv will be too as stated in their ImProv Website. The dmv got notified three years ago when myself, spouse and our kids had first taken this course so i trust, appreciate and highly recommend them !!

Fantastic experience: I always use them for my defensive driving course. Inexpensive, entertaining, you go at your own pace. Each chapter can be reviewed as many times as you need. And the fact they send the completed certificate directly to my insurance company is a bonus.

So save yourself some $$$, and take only a couple of hours & take the Defensive Driving course online.

Negative experience: Deceptive advertising. Website states that State law requires insurance companies to give you 10% off if you complete class. It also states “100% refund if not satisfied-no questions asked”. My insurance company gave me 5% off. The savings didn’t cover cost of class. And they refused to give a refund

I didn’t really learn anything “new”but it has been a few years since my defensive driving course so it was all great reminders of what to do and not do! Negative experience: My son took the web based training and improv said they would send certification to take permit test at DMV in 3-5 business days. Five business days later we call they said oh we are sorry we will send today you should get in 3-5 business days. Five days I call again, oh we are sorry we will send today you should get in 3-5 businesses days. Today is 20 days and it supposably is being mailed again. Stay away worsts customer service I have ever experienced !!!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. If you have trouble with the website and try to call the customer service number, you'll reach an entirely different company. I know, because I own the company you reach! I receive calls from people trying to complete their training but unable to and they can't reach the company. I've tried to get this company to fix their website to show their actual phone number, but they won't!

Negative experience: kept having to click on the thing way too much. Very understanding but the checking in was way over the top. Additionally, the certificate of completion was not sent to Geico. Had to follow up myself.

Fantastic experience: I only recommend this class and school for defensive driving/point reduction. It's easily accessible on several devices, simple and fun to follow, and their style mixed with comedy makes it less monotonous than most courses in other schools. Friends and family discounts tend to be offered as well and the customer service is super responsive if you have any issues.

Positive experience: I waited longer than it was to read all the material. A 5 hour course should be shrunk down to 2-3 hours.

Positive experience: I was looking to lower my car insurance and chose Improv. It was $15.00 and saved my wife and I 10% each on our policy. I found the course rather easy to complete. You will need to stay on the site for a full 6 hours cumulative with actions in order to be able to take the final exam although you can log out and back in and get credit for your time shown on the home page.The site will not credit you any time for a window without an action after 10 minutes so you can't just leave your computer or phone on and go somewhere else and get credit for your time. I recommend playing the videos..It took several days, but I had no problem logging in or out. It kept track of where I left off. It forwarded my completion to my insurance, and I received my updated rates within a week.

Fantastic experience: I needed to renew my defensive discount with Geico so I once again took the IMPROV program. Taking the program on a smartphone is easier than a laptop. Also note that the program auto saves so you can exit and re-enter to take breaks. My only complaint is that IMPROV did not notify Geico within 24 hours that I passed the program as IMPROV noted. This meant that I had to upload my certificate of completion to my Geico account as proof that I passed.

Fantastic experience: You got a ticket,this is about as painless as it can get. 5 hours of your time and you have served your debt to humanity. You are free to go.

Positive experience: I was looking to lower my car insurance and chose Improv. I found the course rather east to complete. It took several days, but I had no problem logging in or out. It kept track of where I left off. It forwarded my completion to my insurance, and I received my updated rates within a week. I was really surprised that it happened so quickly.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for the IMPROV Driving School's defensive drivers course to reduce my car insurance premiums. The course took a bit longer than I expected, but it was informative and I was able to accomplish my objective. Negative experience: TOTAL SCAM!!! The website is terrible, keeps crashing and logging you out. I was about to finish my course and since I made a log in mistake they won't let me log back in and the course went back to the start. Never had a worse customer support experience

Negative experience: One of the worse experiences I have had with a company in a long time! I HATE BEING LIED TO! My wife and I took their defensive driving course to get an auto insurance discount. Their course description said it was a 6 hour course with no final exam. (I hate finals!) After paying for the course and getting ready to start I noticed it said the course is 8 hours and a final exam at the end. I contacted Improv and was told that my course was really only 6 hours with no final. Upon completion I contacted them and was told that I had to take the final to get credit and that I am required to take 8 hours on the course so I was required to go back into the course scroll up and down for a few hours so it would show I took 8 hours to complete it. I showed them a copy of their course description and a transcript from their employee saying it was a 6 hour course and no final, but they didn’t care. After talking to several employees getting numerous different answers, we just sat down and moved the page up and down for a few hours and took the final. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. THEY BLATANTLY LIE AND DONT CARE.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Improv Driving School twice now and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Improv makes the process as simple, easy, and pain free as possible.

Fantastic experience: Of course, I did not think the Police Officer should have stopped me in the first place; however, that is a different story. Given the opportunity to select from several different Driving School's, I selected IMPROV. I found the class easy to complete, although it took me a few hours divided up around 3 days. I had no issues at all with saving, logging off, logging back on and complete the course. I highly recommend IMPROV.

Negative experience: Worst website I've ever been on. I wouldn't even bother with this company. The courses don't load. Working with customer service is absolutely terrible. I wasted $40 on the course and now have to find a different course because their staff has no idea what they are doing. I'm extremely irritated with this company. I don't know how it has a 3.8 star review.

Negative experience: Completed tue 6 hour course for parent taught learners permit. Made appt at DPS that was 4 month wait time. The day before the appt the certificates needed was no longer available and they could not send to us. Kept saying they were going to email and never did. Finally they shut there phone systems off. Waste of money and time. Worst company ever. Stay away. Now have to wait another 5 months to get DPS appt.

Negative experience: If you want your 5 hour course to take 14 hours. Go for it. Also make sure you use the right devices before using this. I had to use 3 different devices. Have stopped to sleep but have been working on this for 19 hours now and still not done. Customer service has been fast and helpful which is why they get 2 instead of 1 stars, but the fact that I’ve needed customer service this much should knock it back down to 1 star.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, the website kept freezing on my iPhone and IPad. On the practice exams car maintenance I was unable to submit my answers and had to get customer service involved. This is the worst online driver safety course I have ever done .

Fantastic experience: Excellent refresher course

Negative experience: Full of glitches. Feels like a beta version still being tested instead of a full online course that should be charging fees. For example, the courses have large buttons, but they often don't work. You need to click at specific parts of the button symbol for it to actually continue. The content is also juvenile, and makes assumptions such as people speed because they think it is "cool" (regardless of the reason, speeding isn't okay).

Negative experience: The Online course had problems a few times. It said my account is locked and asked me to call them to use again, but they never pick up the phone for two days.

So, I can say with a certain level of confidence that IMPROV Driving School is by far the easiest, fastest, and most direct course I have ever taken! If you're looking for a course to simply "get it done" then this is the one to take.

Negative experience: Richelle was very rude, told me I was a liar and that I signed up for the wrong course even though the email states I did not. Her customer service skills are extremely lacking. Did not appreciate her condescending and rude behavior. Avoid them at all costs, choose a professional company.

Fantastic experience: Let me be honest here, Initially I thought to just finish it for saving some bucks in my insurance EMI when I started it, I found the several impactful points to become a safe driver. The best one is the attitude on the road. It’s an awesome course. I would recommend to complete this one before the behind the wheel (specially for kids who are learning first time). My partner is also going to complete it (of course it will also save some bucks but this time totally because it is worth)

Positive experience: This is the first time I've taken an online Defensive Driver course and it was pretty decent. I actually learned quite a bit from it. I was glad I took it because it helped me reassess my driving skills while out on the road. I also enjoyed the silly nature of the program. Just corny enough to make me snicker or roll my eyes. The only problem was that it was a little glitchy here and there, especially while taking some of the course on my phone.

Videos were optional, which would have been a deal-breaker for me. The course material was consistent, well-organized and useful. Fantastic experience: Took the course to lower my insurance rate. The course was available online. It was long but entertaining and humorous. Because it was entertaining and humorous it made the course bearable and fun. If your internet is slow when you do the practice quizzes - like the lane changing one your answers will get marked wrong. However it does not count toward your final test, so don't worry. But be sure you have a good internet if you do the driving school online

Positive experience: Kind of silly, the humor they put in doesn't seem needed for me, I just want to get through the course, but some may like it. Otherwise pretty nicely produced. A few misspellings were a little disappointing to see.

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I've taken the Improv Defensive Driver Online Course. I think the jokes were the same (though I'm not certain). Yes, I chuckled a bit and, yes, most of the jokes are corny, but as another reviewer explained so well, it made the time pass, kept me relaxed and focused. Time well spent.

Negative experience: Horrible cutomer service. I finished the class and the system would freeze and not let me update personal information. When I finally got ahold of someone after several hours of placing chat and calls NOBODY PICKS UP. There is NO 24/7 support. Impossible to get ahold of anyone by phone to help. I spent hours completing the courses and paid for the service but no certificate or help with the personal informatin section just freezing when you put in the information. Then when I finally get ahold of someone they get the information put in incorrectly. This is a scam process to get your money. How horrible that the courts would put people through this.

Negative experience: Unfortunately customer service only can read from a script and cannot help. Clear instructions are not given to parent to help monitor progress. I do not recommend this company at all.

Negative experience: The course was decent (drivers ed online course) but my son had technical issues with the system glitching several times. Once we couldn't reset it for over 24 hours and had to reach technical support. The other two times rebooting the system and losing the work on that chapter and needing to re-do it was the solution. But the epic fail was in getting the certificate mailed. They claim they mailed it USPS on 3/3. I started contacting customer service on 3/10 (I am N. Cal and my certificate coming from S. Cal). They kept claiming the mail would take 7-10 business days and it "was on the way". On 3/12 I tried reaching them and couldn't get through on phone. I texted from 8am and finally got a supervisor at 4:35pm to call me (they respond hours later on text). I then said that I didn't want to wait anymore for USPS and I'd like a second certificate overnighted. By then the Friday deadline passed and I was promised it would go out Monday 3/15. I phoned 3/16 looking for a tracking number and they said there was a payment issue with my apple pay (I don't use apple pay) but no one reached out to tell me about it yesterday so the certificate still didn't go out. Now they say it will go out today and I still need to pay for 1/2 of the overnight cost despite their errors. I would NOT use this company. Choose a vendor with better customer service. DMV appointments are hard to get and I've missed ours because of MyImprov's incompetence.

Fantastic experience: Call me crazy, But i enjoyed taking the course. It was easy .

Positive experience: The program had a lot of good information. However, when I took the driving videos, when trying to click, sometimes it didn't register and thus my score was lower than it should have been. Clicking between the questions, the program was sluggish to respond. I just wanted to get through the program without the distractions and attempt at humor. Overall, I was glad to have the opportunity to lower my car insurance.

Positive experience: The traffic school was pretty easy, although you had to do lots of reading. However, the quizzes had only about three questions each and the final exam had 20. So if you remember the key points you'll do just fine, with no trick questions. I'd use this school again.
