Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my experience with A1 driving school. My instructor was Laurie Puckett. She was extremely patient and gave easy to understand explanations. I only had 3 lessons with her, but I feel more comfortable with driving, and I feel very prepared to take my driving exam!

Stayed calm through out and never yelled once even when I made mistakes and knew how to take control of the vehicle if she needed too well. Taught well and made me feel ready to take my driving test.

In a situation that is not fun to go through, the class was very informative. It made you think about choices in your life and how you want to move forward. Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with A-1 Driving School. Did a virtual online all-day class to fulfill a points reduction. Kudos to instructor Ron Giboney. He is very talented, knowledgeable and passionate about helping people. A 7-hour class was much more enjoyable because of how he got all of us to interact and participate. The time passed quickly and we all were better for it in the end. Highly recommended for all driving situations.

Positive experience: Review after 3 sessions: My son had 1 session with Kenneth and 2 with Laurie. Kenneth was the preferred choice. He was very thorough and constructive in his feedback of the driving lesson, Even providing a checklist for improvement. He seemed genuine in wanting to help my son progress. Laurie was condescending and very sporadic with nearly no detail in her evaluation feedback.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Laurie was very patient and Instructive with me. She gave me time to really get comfortable with being behind the wheel again. Any mistake I made she camly explain what I should do, while also praising me when I quickly corrected set mistake. I will definitely be finishing up my classes with her. Anyone in the Acworth area should give her a try.

Fantastic experience: Ms.Laurie was a patient and concise teacher. Lessons are molded to the individual and she makes the most of the time you have. Everyday was something different as long as I was ready. I had 3 lessons. I started in my area, drove at night, and on the highway. We had a lesson on parking and lane changing as well. Amazing experience and teacher. Very excited for my test!

Positive experience: Called to sign my Au pair up for 4 hours of driving lessons. They took payment and said we will get an email with a link to schedule. Email never came. Have called 4 times and it has been a week. They keep saying “check spam folder”. After trying multiple email addresses it is still not there. They say they have no way to schedule us themselves. Edited to say that the issue was fixed after calling the region office. Thank you Carrie we are all set to do our lesson now

Negative experience: HORRIBLE 'COMPANY'...IMPOSSIBLE TO BOOK ON LINE CLASSES, THEY REFUSE TO REFUND MY $$..B WARNED. THEY A SCAM!..I'VE FIKED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB

Negative experience: Getting in touch with anyone concerning my defensive driving class has been a nightmare. I get hung up on or routed to a voicemail, and my calls and emails are ignored. I've had to reschedule my class 5 times now, because Noone can give me any information or confirmation about my class. I figured out it was an all virtual setting after the first class has already taken place, and was sent an email link to some off-brand zoom class 30 minutes before it took place, when they ask you to be 30 minutes early. The online classes host upward of 25 students at a time, so everyone lags. The male instructor they had teaching the classes is rude, unprofessional, and condescending towards all the students that attended. This was a court ordered situation for me, so naturally it's also time sensitive. I've decided to use Taggarts driving school, and they have been LEAGUES better so far. I can't help but feel as though my money has been stolen from me, and I'm astonished at how this company chooses to do business. Save your time money and headaches, do NOT give A1 driving school any of your attention, because believe me they didn't give me any of theirs.

Fantastic experience: Laurie was very patient with me getting my confidence and the feel of the car, she made me feel comfortable and so I was able to execute things that I thought would be difficult. Thanks again Laurie!will be getting more lessons.

Negative experience: To summarize: I am very disappointed in this service. A couple details to note: They didn't return my call or leave a voicemail when I was inquiring about their services. The biggest mistake I made was proceeding with booking a appointment. I don't normally call out people personally but, I have no choice. The instructor in Kennesaw, Laurie Puckett really left me with a sour taste. On the very first lesson, there was a air of contentious with her. The very first lesson she screamed at me like I was about to run over her cat. She made comments asking if I had a mental disorder and she seemed more interested in her own ego then actually providing any good instruction. She was incompetent and didn't explain things well at all. She is negative, hurtful, unhelpful and disrespectful. She did try to pickup food at a McDonalds while she was 'teaching' me. The kind of person who thinks they have it all figured out but, barely scraped the surface. A truly nasty person through and through. I would barely call this a 'service' really. Please look else where for better services. Seriously, don't waste your money here.

Negative experience: Paid $495 for driving class for my son, showed up and no one was there. We call many numbers and no one can help me or explain why there is no one there to teach my son.

The service was awesome, and the teacher was amazing as he not only informed us of the law and driving tactics to keep us out of trouble, but he had real life stories that made the class interesting. Fantastic experience: Went in on a Wednesday cause found out the rules change as of 7/1/21 that a 17 year old has to now do the Joshua class. Della was so helpful and pleasant to work with, since I already signed up for driving lesson for my 17 year old and just realized the law changed, she was able to fit him in a virtual class before his driving lessons started, whew, thank goodness.

Negative experience: Good luck booking your driving sessions! I signed my son up in April for driving school the first week of June. I was told we couldn’t sign up for the six hours of driving sessions that accompany the online class until he finished the 30 hour class, but no worries they usually have openings within 1-2 weeks. It took them an entire week to even release the codes to sign up for drive time slots. And EVERY instructor in our area is booked for 2-3 months. If your kid is 15 and you’re not in a hurry to finish the course, go for it. But if you’re like me and don’t want to do a THREE MONTH process, then find a new school. The lady was so rude and absolutely refused to take any responsibility for the fact that they have very few instructors who all only teach a few hours a week. I DO NOT RECOMMEND A-1!!

Fantastic experience: Going in to class , I thought it was going tk be boring, but honestly I haven't had that much fun in a classroom in a long time! Dr. Averhart made the class feel like 45 minutes instead of 6, his way of teaching definitely was fun! Overall I enjoyed it !!! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: You never want to need these types of courses, but in todays world its almost inevitable. I unfortunately was mandated once in my 31 years of driving to take a course here and now I am doing it again, but on my own accord before I go to court for a ticket I received not long ago. Della is more than helpful at this location and the staff is lively and interactive. The other nice thing is that they are approved for you to do a completely virtual course during this pandemic. If you need or just want to get your insurance rate lower, give A-1 a try. You won't be disappointed and quite frankly, you'll learn a thing or two. Thanks Della and A1

Fantastic experience: Initially, I was not sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised when the class started. We discussed a number of topics in very good detail. Overall, it was a great class with a great instructor. I learned a lot and as for what I already knew, it was a great refresher.

Fantastic experience: This school was excellent and fast. We learned in a state certified defensive driving course. And my instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was all done virtually. So if someone had a problem we would help eachother. There would be no wrong answers. Everyone was encouraged to interact as we would in a normal classroom setting. Mr. Johnson had pretty funny corny jokes to help pass time so it all balanced out.

The teacher, Yolanda Ford was very engaging and kept the class easy and somewhat exciting to follow along with. It's definitely worth it to take this class as it lowers insurance rates and is very informative for new drivers..

Fantastic experience: I had initially registered at the Snellville location and unfortunately, did not receive good communication or customer service there. Most times I called during office hours, nobody answered. However, once I was transferred to the Kennesaw location, I could not have had a better experience! Della worked out the details so smoothly so that I could log onto my course confidently, and Yolanda made the 6-hrs fly by! This was such a fun and thorough class! 10/10 would recommend.

They held up to their end of the deal even with the virtual classes it made it easier since I have 3 kids to do it online and I now have my certificate and will have my license soon. Darrel is a great teacher and the staff will work out any problem you may have

The lady told me no, and that I couldn’t get my money back. I’m a terrible time like this you would think they wouldn’t take people’s money. 100% do not recommend these scammers

Negative experience: Writing a negative feedback is not my thing, but this business had it coming. Called up to enlist my kid. There was nothing polite about the response I received. A very flat tone of disinterested customer service wasn’t what I was looking forward to.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. My daughter finished her class and was told they would send me a link to the driving lessons sign up. I don't remember the lady ever asking for my email when I signed her up a I knew she didn't have my email but when I called on a Friday at 5:30 during business hours as they close at 7 on Friday I got no answer. Somehow the calls always get routed to Lawrenceville location and that lady is so rude and short. The instructor was good from what my daughter says but the office staff is very bad. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone for questions

Negative experience: Can’t even get a refund have to call the bank to cancel the transaction

Negative experience: I purchased a a package after inquiring what package would be best for my daughter. I called to schedule her lessons and found out with this package she would have to miss school for 5 days it is only taught Mon-Fro 9am to 5pm. I immediately asked for refund and emailed requesting a refund on July 24 it is Aug 6th and no one can tell me why I didn't get refund. This shouldn't be this difficult. Be very careful before you decide to purchase a package from them.

Fantastic experience: I've used A1 Driving School more than once! The first time was for driving lessons to obtain my license! They did impeccable! With their help I recieved a 92 passing rate on my driving license test! The second time I took a Defensive Driving Test with them 2 days ago and the class was fun and informative! I would definitely do business with them again, and recommened my younger brother to work with a driving instructor from A1 in the future!

Fantastic experience: Came here to learn how to drive I was always so nervous to drive with a family member cause they talk to much but funny thing is when I got on the road With A-1 i Felt very comfortable as if I already knew how to drive and it was also my first time on the road usually I drive in parking lots but my teacher was great & he made learning how to parallel park very easy so I would recommend this place for driving lessons !

Fantastic experience: If you have to take a DDS class I would recommend this one. You can get it over with in one day (Saturday). Relaxed atmosphere and you might just learn something or at the very least reflect on what led you to being there and try to learn from it and focus on being a safer driver.

Negative experience: Rachel needs to be fired. She was very rude and obviously does not care about costumers. She was unhelpful and I am very disappointed.

I am incredibly dissappointed and will make sure every person I come in contact with will stay far from this facility until she is removed.

Fantastic experience: A-1 Driving School of Kennesaw was a pretty good experience for me. The location was not hard to find and the inside was pretty decent. The front office guy greeted me and got me signed in pretty quickly. They even had a refreshment area(well water, coffee, tea). The instructor was very straightforward and meant business but had a slight since of humor. She was helpful in more ways than one. She not only was knowledgeable with the course stuff but she took the time out to help people with straightening out their own personal matters, while entertaining all of our other questions and concerns. I must say she got us through the 6hrs without it seeming like a complete drag and I'm pretty sure we all learned something new and useful. Thank you!

Negative experience: The Kennesaw location is deplorable. The classroom is not a nice place to spend so many hours, bathroom disgusting and no water in the cooler. The instructor was difficult to take as she was condescending and actually stifled class discussion.

Fantastic experience: My son attended the 20 hour DUI class. They have several time frames to choose from, making it easy to work into his work schedule. He said the instructor was professional and made the class interesting. I expected him to come home all mad about having to take this class, but he came home with a good attitude about the whole thing. That is really saying something for A-1 Driving school in Kennesaw. Thanks for making this as painless as possible considering the situation.

Fantastic experience: Attended risk reduction 20 hour program. Instructor was down to earth and made class very enjoyable, while I learned many things. Location was easy to get to and very clean. I know most people dread this class but they made it as best as possible. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I attended the Defensive Driving 6 hour course at this location. We had 22 people in our class. I took the class before my court date to prevent an insurance increase and points being added to my license. The teacher Brady Johnson was informative, patient, answered all of our questions and provided great examples for different situations. I am planning on sending our 17 year old son to take the course as well.

Positive experience: This place has a decent facility and a very pleasant staff. They made my defensive driving class not feel so grueling. However, as for the guy a few comments below who said they "bribed" him to give a 5 star review, he clearly has a difficult time reading his emails thoroughly.

Negative experience: So the facility was ok. Small, but not too many people in the class, so it was adequate. The instructor, Yolanda, was great. Kept us entertained enough to make it through 6 hours of that boring BS. I would have given the place a total of 4 stars, but since they tried to bribe me with a $10 QT gas card for a 5 star review, and I have just a bit of integrity, they get 1 star now. Do not believe all the other 5 star reviews, as they were more than likely bribed as well.

The course was offered over the span of two days in the evening which was better for my schedule than all at once.

Negative experience: First of all, don't bother emailing with questions. I've emailed them Countless times and have never received a response. When you call, the lady who answers is very sweet but not very helpful. I paid $250 for 4 hours of behind the wheel and wasn't able to set it up because the bookmydrives site they use was unresponsive and didn't work. Finally over a month later I've had it and requested a refund.
