Fantastic experience: What an AWESOME experience. I came to Texas Drift Academy through a friend’s recommendation. I race experience in other vehicles but have had zero drift experience. First..wow…talk about being humbled. This was hard but in the BEST way. The coaches were all very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I learned so much and am definitely coming back for more. Next time 2 days! One of the coolest things is you just get right in to driving. No wasting time just straight in the seat! I did the 3 hour but would have done the full day if I could go back and pick again. It was a great length of time but I shorted myself on progress right as some things were really clicking Huge shoutout to Torin, for the coaching!

Our instructors - Andrew and Chuck - were fun and a blast. Andrew was mine, and he was friendly and knowledgeable and ensured that I had a great time. The extra laps with him driving at the end were a blast. Definitely want to do it again.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had SO much fun at Texas Drift Academy. We did the Drift Day Duo and really felt we each got some serious quality time drifting. Noah was an amazing instructor and seemed to be having as much fun as we were. He ensured we had a great time and even taught me how to drive the manual car with ease. Fantastic experience: We traveled from Bristol VA/TN for a Duo Day for my son and husband and I gotta say it was well worth the trip! Andrew was a great coach from start to finish. Fantastic experience: We took our staff for a team building offsite at TDA and it was awesome. The coaches were great, the experience was easily adapted to all driving skill/experience levels...we had folks who were skeptical that said it was the most fun they'd ever had doing something like this. We created a couple of addicts who will be back with their families to do it again. I was impressed by the management and team there and how well everything flowed from when we arrived until our wrap up pictures together.

Fantastic experience: My 16 yr old son got 2 days with Jack and our minds are blown. Super friendly and approachable coaches that know how to get someone from zero experience to doing full track drifts with 60-80 mph initiations. I never expected that!!! He got an amazing amount of coaching and drive time. So much so he wound up blowing through 3 sets of tires. Overall, I actually wasn't sure what we were in for when I signed him up, but I have to say it was an amazing experience for the both of us. TDA is the Best! Highly Recommended!!! Thanks Jack!!!! Jack put a high amount of effort into tailoring his instruction on the fly to best fit my needs and goals. Super cool guy too, always cheering you on when you do the stunt right, and constructively correcting you when it’s not perfect. I recommend booking at least the 3 hour course.

Fantastic experience: I gifted my husband, Taylor, a 1 hour drift class for his birthday. I was able to purchase a gift card for the amount of a class and later schedule a time that worked for my husband which was incredibly convenient. When we arrived, we met Noah and Jack, who were awesome guys. Taylor was completely new to this world of drifting/driving, but Noah walked him through all the basics. Noah would drive a few laps and then Taylor would then drive. I was surprised at how quickly Taylor picked it up and how much drive time he got. Noah is super great, patient, and knowledgeable. He made a beginner feel confident. Thank you, Texas Drift Academy! We will definitely come back!

I had absolutely no prior experience, but they were awsome in helping me to gain confidence. They are super patient, really funny, and generally great people. The cars are unbelievable fun. Overall, it's a worthwhile investment for anyone passionate about honing their motorsport skills.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing time! My husband gifted me the hour class and my instructor, Jack, coached me on everything and then let me go for it. They did everything to make sure everything went smoothly. I then got to ride along on the craziest lap ever. My husband and I hope to return for a longer class in the future.

Fantastic experience: Overdue review! My awesome boss took me out to Texas drift academy for my birthday. I had an awesome time. To me drifting was hard to learn, but after two hours I started to get the hang of it. Shout out to two patient and awesome instructor Jack and Andrew! These guys are just kind natured. Honestly I wouldn’t blame them if they thought I was lame but they were very professional and gave good pointers. These 350z are insane and can take a beating. Thankfully it was a beautiful day. The guys do wet the pavement to help you kinda grasp the drifting concepts. Also you don’t advance into the next lesson until you get good at each lesson they teach you. Which makes perfect sense before you go out to the bigger lot. My favorite is the figure 8 lol. What a blast and an awesome experience! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I went for the Drift Pro package. The whole day was spent on a parking lot set up with cones. There was interaction with the instructors, but felt we were left alone after some time. The rest of the day was sent with minimal feedback from the instructors. I asked about practicing to the bigger course with higher speed sections, but were denied. Were told the tarmac could damage their car. I feel the academy curriculum and structure needs a major revamp. $1950 to be spent a parking lot with cones felt like loss to me. Would not recommend. I really wish they improve become successful. Until them, would look elsewhere, such the AMG drifting academy.

Fantastic experience: We purchased the duo track day and had an awesome time. Our instructor Charlie was a great instructor and gave us a ton of time behind the wheel. We are already planning another trip, we couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone who wants a driving experience.

It’s learning at your own pace but with amazing feedback every step of the way. We were drifting in no time and the end was the cherry on top. CAUTION! You will have way too much fun. Fantastic experience: I have rarely had so much fun as when I was able to drift with Jack (Drift Pro Package). He is a brilliant instructor, explains what he is doing and how he is doing it very clearly and demonstrates it very well. He showed a lot of confidence in me when I was behind the steering wheel and it really felt like one of your best buddies was teaching you to how to drift. Lunch, snacks and plenty of drinks were also provided. I can only recommend it to everyone. I wasn't sure if it was worth the almost $2,000, but I can now say with absolute certainty that it is. I will certainly come back in the future. Thanks again to Jack and the Texas Drift Academy, it was a really great day that I was able to experience. And btw: Jack is not only an exceptional instructor, but also a brilliant cameraman.

Fantastic experience: I did the 1hour "intro to drift skills" course as an initial experience. My hobby is road-racing sports cars, so drifting was new and very different. The guys did a great job teaching me to overcome my muscle-memory instincts (keeping a car rotating smoothly through high speed sweeping corners), kick the tail out and had me drifting around the wet practice area in no time. Not to mention plus donuts :- ) I had a blast, and the coaches were fantastic.

Fantastic experience: For my wife’s birthday we decided to check something off of her bucket list and learning to drift was very high on it. She was fortunate to have Jack as an instructor who was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. He was able to teach a lot skill in only 1 hour and celebrated every little victory in the car along with her. His enthusiasm really went a long way. Fantastic experience: I did the 2 day advanced course with no drifting experience. There are not any words to truly describe how fantastic this course was but I'll try. It was amazing to say the least. This is a real deal experience where you will get as much as you can handle. At first it was overwhelming but with the great instruction provided you really start to develop the skills needed to drift. I will be back to do this again no doubt. If you are on the fence dont be it is an experience of a lifetime. If you are thinking of going for just a couple hours you are going to want more.

Josh, Jack and Jordan were amazing teachers and so much fun. In just two days I was doing figure eights and drifting a full track. 100% will be back again.

Fantastic experience: It is simply impossible to describe how amazing TX Drift Academy is. Josh Robinson and his team provide incredible instruction and the amount of reps you get on the car is 10x what you’d get at an AMG drift school. You will learn more in one day here than anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Had a great time taking the 3 hour advanced course! I was able to get Tim as my instructor, and had a blast going through all of the exercises and learning how to initiate a drift, do circles, transition, and ended with some hot laps in the passenger seat. Both instructors present were very personable and took the time to answer my questions and made sure I got as much seat time as possible. At no point did I feel rushed, or judged, or anything that made me feel less than comfortable, and if fact Tim was very encouraging of me to push the car harder and offered tips every lap that had me nailing the exercises in no time. They provided waters and sandwiches/salads for a quick food break also. After learning exactly what goes into making a drift car, and the general expenses on track, the price of the course makes the seat time well worth it money wise! If you are debating on this course, don't, just go for it!

The instructors were top notch and super patient - particularly with my two kids who had never before driven a stick shift. The reason I give it four stars rather than five was seeing how the instructors worried about watching the clock down to the second like they would turn into pumpkins if we went one minute over. I could understand that more if were just there for an hour, but after spending $$$$ for a full day experience it left a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise, they were fantastic and it was tons of fun.

Fantastic experience: This is a must do if you feel that inner desire to just light up tires and scream around in a car. You’ll actually learn some important lessons in car control and countersteering too! Bravo.
