Fantastic experience: Glenn at the Colby office is an amazing driving instructor- we love him! He is so patient with new drivers, encourages them & calmly gives them tips during the drives. I found out how stressful it was teaching my daughter to drive- he is much calmer than I am in the passenger seat with her driving. I highly recommend Defensive Driving School.

There was a large gap between the class taken last summer and finally getting licensed this summer. Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic school because of its teachers. My teacher Glenn is so patient and helpful. When I first started driving I was terrified. He taught me over come my fears and how to protect myself on the road. His instructions are clear and direct. I am really grateful they have such dedicated staff to help me learn to drive!

Positive experience: The experience was effective, I learned a lot and improved already existing skills. However the time and length of the zoom classes were often inconvenient. Other than that, the lay out of how the classes worked were clear and allowed me to be flexible with my schedules.

Negative experience: I didn’t like the experience we had w this instructor/facility. My child ended up getting their license elsewhere after being in tears and scolded through out drivers Ed drives and testing. It’s like they aren’t trying to help you they just wana make money I complained n never got a follow up on how many times my child left defeated n in tears. This guy shouldn’t be a teacher w that temper.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was taught by Glenn who is absolutely amazing, and is the main reason DDS gets this 5 star review. Glenn is a master at what he does. His amount of driving knowledge and ability to teach that knowledge is awesome! The location is very convenient being that it’s close to the high school, and the scheduling is easy to setup. Make sure to notify the office at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or you could incur a hefty fee. DDS is lucky to have Glenn. ☺️

Fantastic experience: First off I just wanna say, GLENN is the most KINDHEARTED, sweet, understanding, easy to be around and humble person/instructor EVER. I have test anxiety and he completely blew that out of existence. Glenn, thank you so so so much. I took my on road test today and luckily had Glenn as my teacher, he wants you to be a safe driver, but he is so helpful and just plain great. Fantastic experience: Both of the instructors with whom I practiced my driving skills were very competent; they handled any mistakes I made deftly without making the experience more stressful or dangerous. As an added bonus, they also provided intelligent conversation during the drives when it was safe to do so. They made the experience as good as it could be for someone who is naturally uncomfortable with driving.

Fantastic experience: All three of our teens went through defensive driving school and they are solid safe drivers. Especially grateful to Glenn at the Everett location for his training skills.

Negative experience: Make sure you call and double check they enter your driving score after waiting six weeks for my appointment at the DOL, I go in to find out I can't get my license because the driving school never entered my score. So now I have to reschedule and wait another month before I can get my license. It was heartbreaking.

Fantastic experience: Learning how to drive at this location and Glenn as my instructor really helped ease the nervousness I had about driving. I was unsure about my driving skills, but was able to get good guidance and felt much confident with my driving as time went by. I’m also very glad Glenn was my instructor as he was very patient and helped me a lot with driving!

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was tentative about having my son complete the defensive driving course when COVID hit our community last spring. I appreciated that the course was being offered over Zoom and this allowed for not only safety but flexibility. I was more worried about the practice drives. I was nervous about my son being in a vehicle (small space) without a vaccination. I spoke with Glenn, the instructor at the North Everett office and was assured that the safety of the student and instructors were their first priority. He shared what the protocol was and I decided to allow my son to complete his practice drives in the late summer after completing the course. Unfortunately my son had to have several surgeries this fall and winter and was not able to take the knowledge and skills test until this past month. He completed both, again with Glenn, who remembered my son and spending the time to again answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He is an AMAZING person and cannot imagine a better instructor for defensive driving! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am thankful he was our son's driving instructor and only wish he could instruct my younger daughter, as well.

Fantastic experience: Glenn Wlliams was a great driving instructor for my daughter. He gave encouragement when needed but was also very up front about all of the areas she needed to grow. At each driving lesson he focused on a particular area of driving. I like how he gave personal examples of people doing it wrong and the consequences of those actions. My daughter tends to be a bit scatter brained and he was very good at helping her learn the skill of scanning the roadway and being very aware of everything around her. I am so thankful my daughter got to learn to drive with this amazing driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: A great driving instructor! Very strict, but in a good way. He has so much experience and it really shows. He had amazing methods of explaining key points, helped me learn a ton. Though driving lessons can be scary at first, he made me feel accepted at the skill level I was at, well at the same time pushing me to improve.

She is a very intelligent young woman who is a visual learner. Glenn was exceedingly patient and attentive to her learning style. Personally, I think he is one of the most courageous people I have ever met. It is obvious he cares about his students and their safety.

Fantastic experience: Kyle who teaches my online class is a legend, man deserves a raise. Put him in the DDS Hall of Fame. His only downside is that he likes pineapple on pizza. This is forgivable due to the fact he is a stud.

Fantastic experience: I had Glenn for drivers ed and he’s an exceptional teacher, he created bonds with each of his students which makes it easy to drive with him and easy to approach and talk to. He’s great at explaining things when you are confused or don’t understand a topic, he has a fantastic sense of humor which never makes a class boring!

We liked how you could schedule drives and tests through the website. I feel our student learned a lot of good safety tips that will benefit him for the rest of his life.

Fantastic experience: I chose this defensive driving school because of Glenn Williams. I read the reviews and had heard from others about him. I had looked at many other driving schools. I am so pleased with him as a person and as the instructor who has a passion for turning students, young new drivers into exceptional, safe drivers. He is encouraging and helps students who may not want to step into the driver's seat to gain confidence and skills through his instructional techniques and that encouragement. At first, my teen did not want to drive, but as Glen taught and gave encouragement and helped her to see she could do it, she changed and came to see she COULD do it. She was even angry at first and it was hard, but her anger gave way to excitement even. We are so glad Glenn was our instructor. Any parent who wants not just a good driver, but an exceptional, safe driver will want Glen Williams to teach their teen to drive. When I first started the course this past June I hated driving, absolutely hated it, and I was scared out of my mind to get and be behind the wheel of a car. But as of now driving has gotten so much easier and I'm liking it more and more every time I drive. Fantastic experience: Today I passed my driving test and honestly it wouldn't have been possible without the guidance from Glenn Williams, the certified driving instructor at the Everett/Colby branch. He is patient, kind, professional and just a very knowledgeable and experienced instructor. He made it a goal to not only teach me safe, defensive driving but that I pass my test when he learned that it's taken me years to build my confidence and take up driving. I definitely would recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: The driving education was fine, but the reason for the low score was that my son's test scores were never uploaded to the DMV. After waiting several hours in line to get his license we learned that his test was not in the system. After 3 calls to Defensive Driving School they told us that the instructor was not available to upload his report and that we needed to take a picture of our copy and email it to them. After some searching, phone calls and an email, we were finally able to get my son's license.
