Positive experience: I really appreciate him because I passed my test but I think he has some work to do as a teacher. Yes you will learn to drive but he can be very rude sometimes and as a new driver you need someone who is patient not someone who shoots you down every time you make a mistake. I don’t think he realizes what it’s like to be a new driver because he expects you to know everything already. Overall he’s not the worseee he has some nice moments and I did pass thanks to him!

Negative experience: I had a last minute appointment and I call him telling him can we reschedule and he said no because I could’ve called him last night and if I did it today I’ll do it again. Like what ? now I have no one to take me to the rode test. Or give me classes because other schools are full. On top of that the man was unprofessional and rude. He kept yelling at me and grabbing my hands when I was driving. This is ridiculous. The school probably isn’t that bad but that man shouldn’t be teaching anybody how to drive because the first thing you need to have is patience if your going to TEACH. And reading other peoples review I’m pretty sure we’re all talking about the same person.

Negative experience: Not very happy with school instructor was a bit rude when I couldn’t hand over hand steer/turn it was very unsettling I ended up on the wrong side of the road watching the steering wheel so I wouldn’t get it wrong again.made me drive to the car wash and had the attendant a tip not very professional for the remainder of the lesson he was on the phone. I am very serious about driving but this was a waste of an hour and 50.00 I just got out of being a nervous driver and this surely put me back in .DO BETTER

Fantastic experience: I used Shemaly's back in 1986 when I was learning how to drive and passed with flying colors. I liked their service so much that early 2000's I hired their services to teach my older daughter how to drive and she also passed with flying colors. My youngest daughter will be going for her drivers test in Feb and of course we will be using Shemaly's services again. You won't be disappointed.

After a series of driving lessons, I have become increasingly comfortable with the road and navigating it. Shemaly’s calm demeanor allows for students to be at ease at the wheel, which is essential to driving safely. You will thoroughly practice what needs to be accomplished for the driving test and I can attest to this because I passed on the first try! He’s also very patient and helps you really work through what’s tripping you up. I highly recommend this driving school, coming from a nervous driver to a much more confident, knowledgeable one.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE!!! Don't waste your money... I paid $300 for the student package, which included three 2 hour driving lessons. After the lessons, my daughter failed her road test because her instructor did not teach her how to parallel park or show her the actual DMV course she would drive... The person that failed her was even surprised to hear that she had 6 lessons with Shemaly and couldn't parallel park. Her instructor, who I believe was Joseph also forgot that he scheduled her for the road test, this was after speaking with him multiple times - and he was the one that assisted us with scheduling the date via the DMV. At the last minute she had to be scheduled with another school/instructor that he had to call to fill in for him. After giving him a piece of my mind, I clearly advised him that I would never refer him to ANYONE!!! A Horrible Experience!!!

Negative experience: I just want to start by saying that he is very impatient so there for if you are a new driver I would not recommend him, he screams at his students when they do something wrong. I have took lessons other places & I was taught the improper way to turn so hand over hand steering was completely new to me. So while he was trying to teach me hand over hand turning he screamed at me for not turning where the curb is. Another thing, a car was doubled parked I was waiting for the other cars on the other side of the rode to pass so I could pass the double parked car as soon as I turned the wheel to pass the car he screamed at me so loud and made me very nervous to the point that I wanted to walk home, he said that I didn’t turn the wheel and I was going to hit the doubled parked car but he wasn’t paying attention in the first place because he was look down at his phone. But I did indeed turn the wheel correctly, I wasn’t going to hit the car. But long story short if you suck at driving or if you are a brand new driver or even if you get nervous behind the wheel a lot DO NOT TAKE LESSONS WITH SHEMALY!

I was really nervous and, Mr. Shemaly was on point with his constructive criticism that I didn't mind because, I passed the first time. I thought that I needed just the car but turned out that, I needed the advice! My advice is, don't let what he says get to you in a bad way. Fantastic experience: The other schools I called before never showed up. He did so that's an A++. PROS: Calls to remind you about your lesson. Let's you know if he's running late. He knows his driving stuff. He's been doing this for a longggg time. (also shows you little tips and tricks) CONS: He is occasionally sarcastic. (Most times I personally found what he said funny. Other times his remarks made me really consider why I was making the same mistakes over and over again.) He may come off impatient at times because he is a perfectionist. (but that really isn't a bad thing) Passed the road test on the first try. :)
