Fantastic experience: We have had both of our children go through the 6-lesson training to polish their skills and learn about safety tips from the experts before allowing them to take their driving tests and sending them out on the road solo. They are super helpful and flexible to work with, encouraging of the kids, and do a great job teaching them how to be safe on the road. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We had a very good experience sending our daughter to this school. She was nervous about being able to drive, but from the very start this school and the owner went above and beyond to help her get her liscense and drive with confidence. I cannot reccommend Central Kentucky Driving School enough. They did several things for us that they did not have to. From the person answering the phone to the instructor and owner- everyone made sure to answer all our questions, commended my daughter for her diligent efforts, coached her even after finishing the class. When i wanted to take my daughter to practice parallel driving, I called the school and they directed me where to practice. Later, when we weren’t sure if she had parked correctly, they even had me text them pictures of how the car was parked to make sure she had placed the car correctly where she was supposed to in order to pass! This was AFTER some time had past and she wasn’t even a student with them anymore. Now more that a year later when we call them, they still answer questions for us! They are very competent and kind!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience. Once of my favorite parts about the test prep is the visual parts of it. Since I am a visual learner the instructor uses a board to demonstrate turns, what do and what not do do etc. I even got advice and really clear instructions when it came to my driving.

Her teaching instructor gave her concise and helpful tactics to ace parallel parking & 3 point turns. He also gave her clear expectations on what the state instructor would be looking for. This 1 hour class was worth every penny & we are so grateful for it!

Fantastic experience: For Christmas , I purchased a couple driving lessons for my granddaughters after both had failed their driving tests. It was one of the best and most appreciated gifts I have ever given them. They quickly gained the confidence and skills they needed to pass their tests with flying colors. Wonderful staff provide a great resource.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank Mr. P for his time, patience, and empathy. As an adult driver taking the Road Test (and the first time taking it this late in life) I was a nervous wreck. But Mr. P helped me through that anxiety, showed me that my off and on driving through the years had established decent fundamentals, and all I needed was proper technique. Which he instilled greatly even within the confines of the One Hour long Road Test Prep class. Now, I'll admit, I took the class at the literal end of January. In fact it was the 29th. I then had to schedule my road test after the fact, and if you don't know that's a 3 week wait time. Against the advice of Mr. P and family friends, I tried to take it in a 18ft long Silverado. For anyone out there reading this, take my own experience and advice to heart, you're not going to parallel park an 18ft long truck in a 20ft gap unless you've professionally driven for years. Needless to say I had to wait another month to take the test a second time in a borrowed and much smaller car, but I passed and was out of the parking lot waiting in the DMV within 10 minutes on the second go around. So for anyone who's out there on the fence about getting their license, young or old, I highly recommend you go to Central KY Driving School and take their Road Test Prep class. It'll make sure you're ready. And as a personal aside; if you're old enough like me to remember Boones Driving School, these people are nothing like Boones. They're absolutely friendly and professional, and you're not going to have to fight anyone over whether or not you did 'XYZ' or your class starting late. And to you all at Central KY Driving School, thanks again and sorry for the late review! Yours truly didn't want to leave the review until I passed, even if I felt like I was going to do it the first go around!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Central Kentucky Driving, whether you need to get better at driving or start learning to drive after receiving your permit, they will get you there right. Everyone was amazing. I wish I had a better word than amazing, they were all so nice and kind and great at their jobs, the lessons were clear cut, and extremely easy to understand, even though I had very little prior experience driving cars before my first lesson, they instructed me so well I was feeling confident and comfortable very fast. I can't thank them enough for all their kindness, they truly changed my life with their lessons by teaching so well, being kind while doing it and making it an environment I wanted to keep coming back to. Fantastic experience: Awesome people! As an adult student, learning to drive, or being able to get out and practice, can be difficult. I took several lessons with Amber and Mr. P back in October. I went and took my road test on October 30th, and passed with only one deduction. I highly recommend this place. I am now looking at enrolling in school to earn my Class A CDL license. Those APEX guys suck.

Fantastic experience: My son had a wonderful experience here. He was very anxious about driving and felt much more confident after his lessons and going through the practice road test. Almost all of his lessons were with Keith, but everyone there seemed genuinely invested in my son. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I got my permit when I was 17 years old and then moved here for college and wasn't able to drive for about 7 years since my family isn't here. Got about 20 hours in 2022 and then stopped again until I finally signed up for 2 of these classes in September! I had Keith for my instructor and immediately felt like it was worth it and went ahead and did all 6. I also got the map of the route from them and practiced there a lot and yesterday I officially passed my driving test! If you're thinking about it, I would highly recommend doing it! They are super helpful and I've impressed my friends with my parallel parking because the reference points they give you make it so easy haha

Fantastic experience: Very lovely company and very thoughtful and intentional while teaching! I started out here with little to no driving experience and now I have my license. Amber was especially thoughtful and helpful during the whole experience, as she was my instructor. The lessons are worth every penny and I appreciate how patient Amber was during all lessons. She created a calm, and safe environment for a new driver and always made me feel comfortable asking questions!! I was surprised by how easily I was able to pick up on things as well!

Negative experience: My son took the six week course and was told he was making progress and doing well every lesson. But we never see these improvements when he is driving with us, at all. I honestly feel that very little effort went into actually teaching him anythinf. Very disappointed with this program.

Fantastic experience: I just wanna start this by saying I am a 32 year old woman and the thought of driving at all has scared me so much that I had resolved myself to just never getting my license. I assumed I would just be a passenger my whole life. I told my husband for years if he wanted me to drive I would need lessons cause I just didn't feel like just anyone could teach me. He called my bluff and had me set up the lessons and within no time it was time to start. My driving experience previously consisted of panicking trying to drive around a parking lot. On the day of my first lesson I was early so I hung out and talked with Karen (Love her ) she is very down to earth and helpful and just an all around likeable person. I met Mr. P and he was described as kind of a dad, or a teddy bear. Mr. P (Love him too he's great!) is the kind of dad you would want to teach you. Before we went anywhere for each lesson he explained what we were going to be doing for the day and sometimes even drew out diagrams. If I messed up i was corrected but never in an angry manner and he made things easy to learn and retain. Day one I went from driving around the parking lot to driving through neighborhoods and learning uphill and downhill parking. I finished my last class on Monday, today is Thursday and I passed my test and am a licensed driver! I will forever be greatful because without the courses I do not believe I would have had the confidence to drive at all, let alone pass my drivers test! If you're on the fence just know it's worth every penny and then some, you won't regret it and really you can't put a price on peace of mind .

Fantastic experience: I went there to prepare myself for the road test, and the instructor, Amber, did exactly that and more. Not just making sure I got everything nailed down and comfortable with, she also explained to me what I could hope to expect during the test and what to always keep in mind to ensure I don't lose unnecessary points. Apart from being such a calm and considerate person.

Fantastic experience: As an adult driver with driving anxiety, Central KY was great! I drove mostly with Mr P and Amber for my last session. They were very helpful and I felt much more ready for my driving test after working with them. Because of their help I got my license and impressed my test taker so much he asked if I had taken the test previously because I knew exactly what to do.

Fantastic experience: I recently took driving lessons at Central KY driving school, and passed road test two weeks after my last training. My instructor Amber is very experienced, professionally, easy-going and kind. She builds my driving skills from the ground without putting any burden on me. Under her guidance and coaching, my confidence is built up and good driving habits are formed. I find it is relaxing and educational to drive around with Amber while learning how to drive with others is very frustrating and painful. Besides, another lady Karen works in the office is always friendly and helpful. She patiently answered any question you have and gives you good advice. My experience with this driving school is very positive and pleasant. I would highly recommend it to any student driver.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak more highly of the team at Central KY driving school. I have had 2 daughters go through them and they both passed their tests first time. My youngest daughter just had Jim for her instructor, such a great instructor. He made her feel at ease from the minute he walked in the door for their first lesson and she was super anxious and nervous. She actually looked forward to her driving lessons ! If you are not sure it's worth the $ to put your kids through a set of lessons with these guys, don't be. Amber and her team are very professional and great to work with. Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: It was an interesting experience. I learned exactly what I needed to know about driving and maybe a little bit more than I thought it would contain. Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend using this company if you have any anxiety while driving. I have severe anxiety especially while driving. I'm 40 years old and wasn't able to get my driver's license until I took lessons with Jim. I passed my road test on the first try. He's a great instructor. He's nice, patient and professional. He helped me to feel comfortable enough to get out of my comfort zones. I never thought I'd drive on the interstate but I did and to top it off it was raining pretty bad so it felt good that I was able to do that. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have any more anxiety while driving but I feel a bit more confident now. The lessons are expensive but they're definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: I always had a fear of driving and this school made it go away so fast.The staff is very friendly and keeps the experience fun and efficient.I had a problem logging in one time and staff helped greatly and stays friendly.Same with the driving instructor.He keeps the whole experience fresh and instead of it being “learn how to drive” it’s,”know what to do when learning how to drive.”They also have great advice and knowledge not just for driving but your driving tests which is incredibly helpful.Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Central KY Driving School helped my son, who was very nervous about driving and has anxiety, reduce his stress about driving and learn to navigate the roads safely. His instructor, Mr. P, was excellent and can relate well to any age or gender. OUTSTANDING experience!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a fear of driving and my instructor Jim made driving fun and exciting. Every lesson I looked forward to because Jim was patient, kind, and funny. I passed my road test with a perfect score and I enjoy driving now. I highly recommend this school, especially if you're in your 20s or older and need extra help learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this school enough. My son has high functioning aspergers and I wanted a way for him to know what was on the test. They had choices between a 6 session lessons and just a one hour lesson. They have a one hour road readiness test that showed him exactly what to expect. They even told him what terms the instructor would be using. Then they gave me a sheet that showed what we can work on. They also answered my questions about what to bring to the test, where to go for the test etc. He passed the first time! I will definitely be using them for my other child this year!

Fantastic experience: I bought a 6 hour course for this school. Before I started, I was too afraid to even get to 30MPH, let alone go over it. I was terrible at turning, and overall afraid of driving. I was given a wonderful instructor named Jim, and from my first hour alone I was pumped with confidence and I not only went past my limit of 30MPH, I had vast improvement overall. Jim really figured out how to help me and in just 6 hours I went from being afraid to drive to passing my road skills test on the first try. I had only one minor fault, and that was all. Thank you Central KY driving school. ♥️ I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who is looking for help on their driving skills!!! 10/10, 5 stars!!
