Fantastic experience: Mr Durogene is a very good driving instructor. He's an excellent communicator. He's also very effective, calm, patient, understanding, and reassuring. I say this from my experience in the UK where I learned to drive 20+ years ago and have been driving both standard and automatic vehicles since then.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with driving lessons from Mr Toussaint. His patience and understanding about my fear regarding driving needs recommendation. Unfortunately he doesn't work weekdays , but weekends only. So whoever is not in a rush to get to the road test and is fine taking lessons on weekends only, I'd definitely recommend him. Update: today I had a driving lessons with Mr Durogene. He came on his day off as the other instructor was sick. I'm amazed at his patience, sense of humor and the way he treats students. Very quiet, funny and has a very good energy. On Tuesday I had a lesson with Caroline. She was very patient too and tried to accommodate my lesson based on ny schedule. She also rescheduled my road test earlier than expected. Generally the experience with all the instructors of this school was positive and I would highly recommend.

Negative experience: This place is not legit. I paid for my 5 hour class online. Went to the place and it was a barbershop. I called for a refund and no result. This place is a scam

She’s an amazing instructor and gave me to the confidence to pass my road test. This school is amazing thank you Helena for an amazing job at communicating with me about my lessons and road test !!! Fantastic experience: I had a 2hr driving lesson with Mrs.Fernandez yesterday, and it went great. this was my first ever time getting behind the wheel, I was nervous at first, but Mrs.Fernadez was very patient,kind, and understanding. She was able to help me and teach me how to do 3 point turns, parallel park,how to check my blind spots, etc, all in one lesson! I am very happy and will be taking an other lesson before I take my road test!

Negative experience: I got my license somewhere else. Imagine I went here and had about 8 lessons and never once did they tell me to let go of the when turning.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous even tho I have 20+ years of driving in UK. Rene put my fears at bay and was super helpful getting rid of some bad British habits. I'm going to do a couple more refresher classes with him and then Ill be ready to sit the NYC test

Negative experience: The worst. I payed for 10 classes. They gave me 9. They scheduled me for the 10 without my consent and then claimed I had a no show. That day that they claimed I was supposed to show up I was at a company meeting. Make it make sense! Why would I book an appointment if I knew I had a meeting all day. The girl at Mt. Vernon office is a racist. She only caters to the fireman that goes visit her instead of doing her job! The guys are okay. I decided to visit a school in New Rochelle where I obtained much success. The disappointment has been a total blessings. Choose wisely! they only care about your money! Hudson Driving school is less money but they bring more value.

Fantastic experience: I chose this driving school based on a friend's recommendation, and I'm glad I did. I completed both the theoretical and practical classes here. The theoretical aspect was decent, but as someone new to the local rules, I supplemented my learning with extra reading. On the practical side, I was fortunate to have an excellent and attentive instructor. He was incredibly patient, started from the basics, and thanks to his guidance, I passed my first road test with ease and confidence.

Negative experience: Completed pre license course in Mt. Vernon and now they expect me to travel all the way to queens to pick up certificate.. Ridiculous! Called 3 times and was promised someone will call me back and nothing...its now about 2 months im trying to get my certificate so I can take my road test...hard to imagine that in this day and age they cannot facilitate producing the certificate in all of their offices!

Fantastic experience: Procurei a auto escola para o curso de 5 horas, porque possuem curso em português (além de espanhol e inglês). Fiz 3 aulas práticas e o teste final. Carro em ótimo estado. Foram excelentes desde o primeiro atendimento até as aulas práticas de volante (com Felipe e Will), além de me acompanharem no teste. Fui bem atendida, bem recebida na unidade e tive ótimas orientações em aula. Preço justo e profissionalismo. Com certeza indico a empresa.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars I would. Driving instructor scammed me and others. I have been calling and waiting a YEAR for my 5 hour class certificate that was suppose to be send to me 3X . And they would not give me the option of picking it up. HORRIBLE SERVICE. OFFICE WAS CLOSED FOR MONTHS WHEN I WOULD TRY AND GO TO PICK UP MY CERTIFICATE. AND NOONE EVER ANSWER THE PHONE.

Positive experience: Pros: Instructors are patient and will gauge the lesson(s) based on your experience and what area you want to focus on most. They were on time for appointments and gave good feedback on where I was doing good and where I needed to continue practice for improvement. Cons: Sometimes the instructor didn't explain what I needed to do in a way that made sense or use the manual (that's in the car) for guidance. For instance: Straighten the wheel or make a V when parallel parking. A better way to approach straightening the wheel is to count how many turns you've made to the right or left as a guide to how many turns you need to make to get back to center. Or when making the V (getting your car in a 45 degree angle) to use your passenger side window which shows you the curb and the V you need to make when parallel parking. Overall: My experience was a mixed bag. Initially it was hard to schedule appointments because most of the availability seemed to be focused at their Astoria location. Ultimately I was able to schedule 4 driving lessons and use of their car for my 1st road test. It was frustrating that my last lesson (on a Sunday) was cancelled before my scheduled road test (that following Tuesday) with no availability to reschedule. I really needed to practice parallel parking and couldn't. I didn't pass the 1st time. This was more so due to me unevenly spacing out my lessons and not practicing as much before the test than the school or my lessons. Will recommend to others in the future.
